:00:45. > :00:49.Peter. Barney has not seen a sausage. He has been asked to wait

:00:55. > :01:00.any rehearsal today. This is going to be the biggest surprise ever.
:01:01. > :01:07.Children in Need is all about getting involved and loads of you

:01:51. > :01:55.There we go. I will have to take you all new. Are you loving it? Yes.
:01:56. > :02:01.somewhere because challenge 2 does not happen here. See you later. The
:02:02. > :02:06.next part of your challenge is just down here. For Children in Need you
:02:07. > :02:12.have been doing bake sales, raffles, sponsored silence, all of it. Your
:02:13. > :02:17.next challenge is not in there, don't look, we are going this way.
:02:18. > :02:26.This is Judy 2. A different show is happening there. We want you to put
:02:27. > :02:34.on a quiz. You will be in one of the scariest chairs in TV. Mastermind? !
:02:35. > :02:53.There is even a live audience. You are kidding. What is going on? !
:02:54. > :02:59.Hello. Good luck. Legend! This is weird. Good afternoon and welcome to
:03:00. > :03:07.a special mastermind. Your name is? Barney Harwood. Your occupation? I
:03:08. > :03:16.present Blue Peter. Your specialist subject? I can tell you what it is,

:04:31. > :04:39.63. Which eye does Pudsey's bandanna cover? His right one. You got that
:04:40. > :04:48.right. You had three passes. It was the motorcycle challenge. You should
:04:49. > :04:53.have known. Jess Glynne Recorded the single and Terry Wogan is currently
:04:54. > :05:04.the Children in Need host. You have scored a total of three points. And
:05:05. > :05:20.that is your challenge complete. Thank you very much. Come on, next
:05:21. > :05:26.challenge! Well done. You have officially put on a costume and put
:05:27. > :05:32.on a quiz. Did you enjoy that? Yes. That was insane. It is all happening
:05:33. > :05:35.today. You need to get over it because it is time for the next
:05:36. > :05:42.challenge and let's go over to Radzi. Welcome to your bake sale
:05:43. > :05:48.challenge. We have a professional cake. I want you to decorate the
:05:49. > :05:54.cake that we have here. You have the icing. Exactly the same as that. You
:05:55. > :06:01.have 30 seconds. Off you go. You could have mentioned this. It is
:06:02. > :06:12.spinning! There is someone under the table. There is! A bake sale is an
:06:13. > :06:21.easy way to earn money. Who did you know who it was? ! He works on the
:06:22. > :06:30.show. This is completely fair. It is for Children in Need. Use your
:06:31. > :06:34.imagination. Stop there. I feel like someone who has a lot more knowledge
:06:35. > :06:42.about cakes than that. Someone who was a runner-up in 2015 on the great
:06:43. > :06:50.British bake off. Please welcome Tamal. What do you think of this? It
:06:51. > :07:00.is a thing of beauty. Why would you give him out of ten? Ten, obviously.
:07:01. > :07:06.Well done! Thank you so much. It is time for challenge 4. You have no
:07:07. > :07:09.idea this is happening but so far you have put on a bake sale, an
:07:10. > :07:13.outfit for Children in Need, you have put on a bake sale, an
:07:14. > :07:58.quiz and now it is time to put on a show. Watch this.
:07:59. > :08:05.They are the international cheerleading champions. It's not
:08:06. > :08:09.over yet, come this way, because you are going to get involved, that is
:08:10. > :08:14.what Children in Need inspires everybody to do. What does Barney
:08:15. > :08:20.have to do? We have put together a routine for you. Follow me and try
:08:21. > :08:27.to keep up. On your Mark, just here. Stand there. But luck. -- good
:08:28. > :09:12.luck. Yes! Well done, mate. That was good
:09:13. > :09:19.considering he had no idea that was going to happen. 100% commitment!
:09:20. > :09:26.How did he get on? He did really well. A big round of applause for
:09:27. > :09:30.Barney! Well done. If you want to get involved for Children in Need
:09:31. > :09:35.you can really do anything. It doesn't matter. Just get involved
:09:36. > :09:39.and get fundraising. You will have seen me trying to put on a show of
:09:40. > :09:47.my own which culminates in this, my final performance. Eight months ago
:09:48. > :09:51.I was set one of my biggest Blue Peter challenges yet. Performing a
:09:52. > :09:57.floor routine at the world gymnastics Championships in Glasgow.
:09:58. > :10:03.I began by training with Olympic medallist Lewis Smith. And since
:10:04. > :10:10.then I have been hitting the gym hard. I found out just what it takes
:10:11. > :10:16.to become an elite gymnast. And how eating the right food can have a big
:10:17. > :10:22.impact on performance. But now with only a few days to go, my coach Rob
:10:23. > :10:30.really increases my training. Still a little bit floppy. A gymnastics
:10:31. > :10:37.floor routine is a series of tumbles, strength and balance moves
:10:38. > :10:41.performed in a fluid sequence on a 12 metre square floor. I will
:10:42. > :10:46.perform for two and a half minutes and it will be made up of 12 moves
:10:47. > :10:51.to test me to the limit. The individual moves is really tough,
:10:52. > :10:54.but doing it in a sequence where I only get one chance to get it right
:10:55. > :11:06.makes it so much harder. Let's get back to it. I will be pulling off
:11:07. > :11:10.skills like the splits, cartwheels and handstands, which are difficult
:11:11. > :11:15.enough, but my routine starts with a handspring. And finishes with a
:11:16. > :11:24.front somersault, two of the hardest moves. And despite how many times I
:11:25. > :11:32.tried, I have not landed them all perfectly. It is so frustrating! I
:11:33. > :11:39.get one chance and if I mess it up it will set the scene for the entire
:11:40. > :11:44.routine. I can't even think about that happening. It is the day before
:11:45. > :11:49.my performance and I head up to Glasgow. I am starting to feel
:11:50. > :11:54.really nervous now. I did not think I would but I really am. I have one
:11:55. > :12:01.last chance to work out all of the things that are going wrong and how
:12:02. > :12:08.to make it right. Bring on Glasgow and bring on the world gymnastics
:12:09. > :12:12.championship. When I catch up with my coach while at the training hall
:12:13. > :12:19.to practice my routine one last time. We are going to do a bit of
:12:20. > :12:24.training with a couple of routines to get all of your nerds out so you
:12:25. > :12:28.are fully prepared for tomorrow. Some of the best gymnasts in the
:12:29. > :12:32.world are also putting in last-minute practice including Lewis
:12:33. > :12:47.Smith. My first competition did not go to plan so if you mess up... The
:12:48. > :12:54.Olympics next year! I am very tired. Good morning. Training yesterday
:12:55. > :12:58.went OK, but I'm still not very confident when it comes to my
:12:59. > :13:07.somersault or the handspring. I get one chance at this. It's time to do
:13:08. > :13:11.it. For the very first time I get to see the actual floor that I will be
:13:12. > :13:17.performing on, and now the size of my challenge really sinks in. I need
:13:18. > :13:23.to stay focused, so I keep going through the routine over and over in
:13:24. > :13:27.my head. In just a few hours' time, this place will be packed to the
:13:28. > :13:31.rafters with spectators, some of the world's greatest gymnasts, and one
:13:32. > :13:38.very, very nervous Blue Peter presenter. But before I do my final
:13:39. > :13:42.preparations Rob has a bit of a treat. You have to perform with
:13:43. > :13:49.style and look the part as well. I have a little surprise for you. My
:13:50. > :13:55.very own Blue Peter leotard! Look at that. And in true Children in Need
:13:56. > :14:02.style I have a matching cape and mask. It's time to see if I can be a
:14:03. > :14:08.hero in front of 8000 people. This is it. I have do pull off 12
:14:09. > :14:12.different moves including a handspring, cartwheel, the splits,
:14:13. > :14:17.and two front somersault is. I have never done all of these moves
:14:18. > :14:22.perfectly in a sequence but can I do them now? I have trained so hard and
:14:23. > :14:27.given everything I've got, now is the time to just do it. Ladies and
:14:28. > :14:33.gentlemen, representing Blue Peter, please welcome Radzi! Commentating
:14:34. > :14:43.on my every move, Matt Baker and Beth Tweddle. All eyes in this arena
:14:44. > :14:50.at an Radzi. I land a handspring! I can't believe it! That was a great
:14:51. > :14:56.start, getting his nerves settled. Next it is my somersault. He went
:14:57. > :15:02.further somersault and e-mail it. I'm really starting to enjoy this
:15:03. > :15:08.now. -- he nails it. That did not quite go to plan. A little bit shaky
:15:09. > :15:14.there. Come on, I still have a few moves to go. Look at that, backwards
:15:15. > :15:22.roll into the splits. That's more like it. It is very easy to wobble
:15:23. > :15:34.on this. He is holding it well. His final tumble. Here we go. Yes. He's
:15:35. > :15:39.got it. Look at him! Look at that. He is lapping up the crowd. He is
:15:40. > :15:41.pleased with that performance. That is a gold badge as far as I'm
:15:42. > :15:52.concerned. I could not be more elated. I was so
:15:53. > :15:58.nervous going into that. At the start I thought, go for it, go for
:15:59. > :16:14.it. And it worked. I will take it. Get in! Well done. Rob, thank you.
:16:15. > :16:18.If you want to see the full routine, jump onto the Blue Peter website.
:16:19. > :16:23.Believe me, there are bits that you missed out that I may have messed
:16:24. > :16:30.up! That was the best thing I have seen you do. You are awesome at
:16:31. > :16:35.home, too. We want to say thank you for raising money for Children in
:16:36. > :16:41.Need. Such a great effort. Look at our map, absolutely covered in your
:16:42. > :16:44.spots. Well done, top banana. We love how creative you are and it
:16:45. > :16:48.gives us a chance to decorate the studio as well. Thank you for
:16:49. > :16:53.getting in touch. We did just promise that we would not just
:16:54. > :17:02.decorate the studio, but we created a super-sized hero mask. Bring it
:17:03. > :17:08.in, boys. We do not have time to thank all of you that we will give
:17:09. > :17:16.it a go. In fact, I have a list. Can I borrow the list? We are going to
:17:17. > :17:21.say thank you to Philip Baker Junior School, Oswald Road primary School.
:17:22. > :17:26.You carry on doing that and I will do some masks. Elliott from
:17:27. > :17:31.Stockport sent in this brilliant mask with little bits of yellow
:17:32. > :17:37.tissue paper. And even a little band over Pudsey's I. Thank you. He is
:17:38. > :17:43.doing a bake sale to raise money for Children in Need. Well done. And
:17:44. > :17:50.Taylor from Salisbury has made this glitzy mask. She is going to be
:17:51. > :17:57.donating her pocket money for Children in Need. That is a good
:17:58. > :18:08.effort, isn't it? Lauren has made this one. She will be selling cakes.
:18:09. > :18:14.Also St George 's primary school... He is still going. The money that
:18:15. > :18:18.you raise for Children in Need is so important and a few weeks ago I went
:18:19. > :18:25.to a special product -- project to find out why.
:18:26. > :18:28.Last year, Children in Need raised over ?32 million. Thanks to your
:18:29. > :18:31.generosity and incredible fundraising, we have been able to
:18:32. > :18:42.help thousands of children, and I have come to Plymouth to meet some
:18:43. > :18:46.of them. Hello, guys. Moving to the UK from a different country can be a
:18:47. > :18:53.very scary experience, but this group has been setup to support
:18:54. > :19:00.young people who done exactly that. Back-to-back, pony, side to side,
:19:01. > :19:03.pony. Funded by Children in Need, this is a drama workshop to help to
:19:04. > :19:12.form friendships and create confidence. Today, I have been
:19:13. > :19:20.invited to join in. First, some warm up exercises. We have the magic
:19:21. > :19:26.sweet, any flavour of your choice. We put it in and we start to chew.
:19:27. > :19:30.It tastes good. I wanted to find out why this project is so important to
:19:31. > :19:41.those who come here. Tastes like chocolate. Maryam Namazie Iraq four
:19:42. > :19:49.years ago and Sarah moved from Syria when she was very young. What were
:19:50. > :19:55.you like when you joined the group? I was shy. Why? Because I did not
:19:56. > :20:01.know anyone. Has this helped you to make friends? Yes. There are many
:20:02. > :20:06.reasons for people to move to a new country, for a job, to be closer to
:20:07. > :20:10.family, or for a change. But some families are forced to move for
:20:11. > :20:13.their own safety. You may have seen in the news recently many reports
:20:14. > :20:22.about refugees moving across Europe, as they try to find a safer place to
:20:23. > :20:25.live. For those that arrive in the UK, groups like this help young
:20:26. > :20:34.people settle into their new communities. Do you love coming
:20:35. > :20:39.here? Yes. Why is that? It helps with confidence and acting. Even if
:20:40. > :20:51.you don't do acting much, it is fine. I like people and you can make
:20:52. > :20:54.new friends. It is a great opportunity for young
:20:55. > :21:02.people to be in a safe space for them to be themselves and explore
:21:03. > :21:06.and grow in confidence. Meeting the group has really made me think about
:21:07. > :21:10.how frightening and lonely it must be to move to a new country. It is
:21:11. > :21:16.so important that projects like this are here to help. It is great to see
:21:17. > :21:21.how your generous donations are helping change these young people's
:21:22. > :21:29.lives. So this year, grab your cape and be a hero for Children in Need.
:21:30. > :21:33.Let's take about. -- let's take a bow.
:21:34. > :21:41.Thank you flitting me join in. It was great. We have asked you to be a
:21:42. > :21:48.hero for Children in Need. We super-sized our mask, so why not
:21:49. > :21:51.super-size a hero cape? We may have created the longest superhero cape
:21:52. > :21:59.anywhere in the world and I am currently wearing it. Feast your
:22:00. > :22:10.eyes. We are trying to set a world record. Greetings. How long does
:22:11. > :22:16.this have to be to break the record? At least two metres wide and over 30
:22:17. > :22:24.metres long. Well, to help us adjudicate, here is Anna from
:22:25. > :22:28.Guiness World Records. What is the idea, to fold it out into the
:22:29. > :22:35.corridor and you will tell us if it is long enough? Indeed. It is full
:22:36. > :22:39.of spots, but it is to mimic the spots on Pudsey. They have been made
:22:40. > :22:45.by Rainbows, Girl Guides and Brownies, and everyone is different.
:22:46. > :22:57.They are beautiful. Where are you from? Leads Girl Guides. Your spot
:22:58. > :23:04.is on here, is it a good one? Yes, it is really good. Loads more to get
:23:05. > :23:09.through. 106 Girl Guides, Brownies and Rainbows took part. The Women's
:23:10. > :23:14.Institute helps to sew it all together. 20 metres, two thirds of
:23:15. > :23:22.the way there. Still a lot to get through. We are almost there. It is
:23:23. > :23:27.lovely, spotty and yellow. I believe that is possibly a world record.
:23:28. > :23:30.Remember, there are loads of spots. If you can't see yours, get on the
:23:31. > :23:40.website and you might get a closer look. 40 metres. And the rest!
:23:41. > :23:46.Incredible! Fingers crossed, Blue Peter have another world record.
:23:47. > :23:50.Over to you. As mentioned, it needed to be over 30 metres for a new
:23:51. > :24:02.Guiness World Records title. I can confirm that it is 44 metres and 27
:24:03. > :24:06.centimetres! Brilliant. Thank you to everyone who got involved. Here with
:24:07. > :24:08.their new single Wake Up, it is The Vamps. Where are we going to put
:24:09. > :24:21.this? # That no one else can touch, my
:24:22. > :26:29.dear # That no one else can touch, my
:26:30. > :27:31.dear That's how to finish a show. It has
:27:32. > :27:37.been a year since we saw you last. What have you been up to? Very busy
:27:38. > :27:39.writing an album which is out on November 27, so we are excited about
:27:40. > :27:47.that. And lots of touring. And November 27, so we are excited about
:27:48. > :27:51.is next? We are back on the road, a world tour, and we are really
:27:52. > :27:56.excited about it. Thank you so much for coming. Now, it has been a
:27:57. > :28:03.pretty amazing year on Blue Peter but there are still loads to come.
:28:04. > :28:13.Check this out. I make myself feel really sick. Stage two will bring
:28:14. > :28:19.the country to its knees! Look at that!
:28:20. > :28:34.How to park that? Are we nearly there? It is like the ultimate den.
:28:35. > :28:39.As you can see, so much to look forward to. Thank you so much. That
:28:40. > :28:43.is the end of our Children in Need special. Thank you to all of our
:28:44. > :28:52.special guests. See you later. Goodbye!
:28:53. > :29:01.I'm preparing for tomorrow night's Children in Need show live on BBC
:29:02. > :29:02.One from 7:30pm. We have guests from Star Wars, Strictly,
