7:31:48 > 7:31:52Rads, I just want to say, Merry Christmas. It's a Blue Peter Christmas card.

7:31:52 > 7:31:55Whoa! Happy Christmas, Linds.

7:31:55 > 7:31:57I know what's going to happen. OK.

7:32:16 > 7:32:19CHEERING

7:32:19 > 7:32:20- Hello!- Hello!

7:32:20 > 7:32:23- Welcome to live Blue Peter. My cheek hurts, Radzi.- I'm very sorry.

7:32:23 > 7:32:26I got rather silly, Linds. It is the 30th of November,

7:32:26 > 7:32:29which means officially only 25 sleeps until Christmas.

7:32:29 > 7:32:32I'm so excited. Which, Radzi, I can translate into hours for you.

7:32:32 > 7:32:36- Go on, do it. - That's 582.5 hours away.

7:32:36 > 7:32:40I'll raise you, Linds. That's 34,950 minutes until the big day!

7:32:40 > 7:32:43Yeah, well, Rads, that's 2,097,000 seconds!

7:32:43 > 7:32:45Yeah!

7:32:45 > 7:32:48Which means now, Linds, we've got 2,096,999 seconds.

7:32:48 > 7:32:51- That wasn't in the script! - I know, I just added it.

7:32:51 > 7:32:54Oh, right, good. Coming up on today's show, he's very happy,

7:32:54 > 7:32:57I get to grips with a super speedy car that's trying to go,

7:32:57 > 7:32:59get this, 1,000 miles per hour.

7:32:59 > 7:33:01I'm not even joking.

7:33:01 > 7:33:04Linds, we're going to see an exclusive performance by a pop megastar, Anne-Marie.

7:33:04 > 7:33:06Whoo!

7:33:06 > 7:33:11Speaking of megastars, we're trying to spot this little one here.

7:33:11 > 7:33:13Look at her. If you can see her anywhere in the show,

7:33:13 > 7:33:17get onto Fan Club Live and let us know where she's hiding,

7:33:17 > 7:33:18starting now.

7:33:18 > 7:33:21She's just behind us, it won't be a very difficult one.

7:33:21 > 7:33:22We will also show you how to make this,

7:33:22 > 7:33:24the Blue Peter Christmas card 2017,

7:33:24 > 7:33:26my favourite of all the Blue Peter Christmas cards, ever!

7:33:26 > 7:33:30It's a good make. And speaking of Blue Peter makes, there is one with a lot of history behind it.

7:33:30 > 7:33:32Check this out.

7:33:32 > 7:33:35The idea of the crown is that you light one candle on each of

7:33:35 > 7:33:38the Sundays before Christmas and it helps you to look forward

7:33:38 > 7:33:40to Christmas Day itself.

7:33:40 > 7:33:43With our Advent crown, we light one candle on each

7:33:43 > 7:33:45of the four programmes before Christmas.

7:33:47 > 7:33:49- Shall I light the first one, then? - All right.

7:33:49 > 7:33:52FESTIVE MUSIC

7:34:00 > 7:34:04I think it's super, you can make such a large decoration out of just bits and pieces.

7:34:06 > 7:34:10This bad boy was introduced to Blue Peter over half a century ago,

7:34:10 > 7:34:14which is why it's one of the most iconic makes ever on Blue Peter.

7:34:14 > 7:34:15It's such a simple one, as well.

7:34:15 > 7:34:19It's four coat hangers, loads of tinsel and four candles.

7:34:19 > 7:34:23I know you're thinking, how on earth is Lindsey's sleeve not on fire?

7:34:23 > 7:34:26That's because these are battery-powered candles.

7:34:26 > 7:34:28That's because, as a philosopher once said,

7:34:28 > 7:34:30health and safety never takes a day off.

7:34:30 > 7:34:33That philosopher was Tim Ward, but they used to use wax candles.

7:34:33 > 7:34:35- I'm lost! Each candle...- I'm Radzi.

7:34:35 > 7:34:37..represents how many shows there are

7:34:37 > 7:34:40until the Blue Peter Christmas Special, but it's a special year,

7:34:40 > 7:34:43cos this year is our 60th Blue Peter Christmas Special,

7:34:43 > 7:34:45so we've jazzed things up a bit.

7:34:45 > 7:34:48- Have a look at this. - Feast your eyes, my friends.

7:34:48 > 7:34:51- That is a giant Advent crown. - I'll show you have giant it is.

7:34:51 > 7:34:55- Look, I'm on the couch. - Linds, you're almost as big as it.

7:34:55 > 7:34:57I am as big as it. It's amazing, isn't it?

7:34:57 > 7:35:00It's the undefeated, undisputed Advent crown.

7:35:00 > 7:35:03There are two shows left until the BP Christmas Spesh,

7:35:03 > 7:35:06so I think we should light two of the candles, Rads.

7:35:06 > 7:35:08Let's do it. Dim the lights, please!

7:35:08 > 7:35:10Three, two, one.

7:35:10 > 7:35:12Whoo!

7:35:12 > 7:35:14BOTH: Yay!

7:35:14 > 7:35:17- There we go. It looks good, doesn't it?- It looks wicked.

7:35:17 > 7:35:20The Advent crown has bought so many happy memories to

7:35:20 > 7:35:23so many people across the UK for years

7:35:23 > 7:35:25and recently I went to catch up with The Dengineers for a very

7:35:25 > 7:35:29special Children In Need project to spread some more happy memories of our own.

7:35:29 > 7:35:31- Check it out.- It's massive!

7:35:31 > 7:35:34How's your memory? Can you remember all the way back to May?

7:35:36 > 7:35:39Back then, The Dengineers, Joe and Lauren, paid us a visit

7:35:39 > 7:35:42and asked for help building a brand-new happy park

7:35:42 > 7:35:44at Claire House Hospice in Liverpool.

7:35:46 > 7:35:49What this is going to be is loads of happy memories sandblasted

7:35:49 > 7:35:52onto a path, so it is there forever!

7:35:53 > 7:35:56You sent in hundreds of your pictures and memories

7:35:56 > 7:36:00and The Dengineers' team turned some of them into beautiful paving stones

7:36:00 > 7:36:03that will create the centrepiece of their biggest den yet.

7:36:04 > 7:36:08But I want to go behind-the-scenes of this CBBC hit to see

7:36:08 > 7:36:10the work for myself.

7:36:10 > 7:36:11But I don't want to be spotted.

7:36:14 > 7:36:17OK. It's just through this way, come with me.

7:36:17 > 7:36:19No-one is going to recognise me. This is great.

7:36:19 > 7:36:21Just over there, they are setting up for the day.

7:36:26 > 7:36:29This really is behind-the-scenes on The Dengineers.

7:36:29 > 7:36:33- Just behind me, you can see... - Lindsey. Lindsey.- Hi.

7:36:33 > 7:36:36What are you doing? Please take the beard off.

7:36:36 > 7:36:40Sorry, I wanted to get behind the scenes, really get into it.

7:36:40 > 7:36:42Why? You're not blending in at all!

7:36:42 > 7:36:44- What do you mean? - Why? What have you...?

7:36:44 > 7:36:47Why are you protecting the camera? It's inanimate!

7:36:47 > 7:36:50- Do you want to look around?- Yes, please.- We can look around together.

7:36:50 > 7:36:51- OK.- We have to do it as a team. - Sure.

7:36:53 > 7:36:55Why? Why would she do that?

7:36:55 > 7:36:59In my head, my disguise worked a little better than that.

7:36:59 > 7:37:02At least I have got Joe to show me around this massive build.

7:37:02 > 7:37:04Hello, mate, keep going. No, it's all right. Carry on.

7:37:04 > 7:37:08- This is brilliant.- A proper building site.- Yeah, you can see it is.

7:37:08 > 7:37:10What's going on here, Joe?

7:37:10 > 7:37:12The biggest den we have ever done.

7:37:12 > 7:37:15It's something like 50 crew building six different dens.

7:37:15 > 7:37:19The hospice that we're doing it for, there's so many families, so many children,

7:37:19 > 7:37:21they can all get involved and have fun.

7:37:21 > 7:37:25This is as close to the work I get, because I break stuff.

7:37:25 > 7:37:27Claire House care for children who are often very ill

7:37:27 > 7:37:31and the team want to create an outside area they can enjoy.

7:37:32 > 7:37:35Children like George, who is helping to lay the new path

7:37:35 > 7:37:37with lead designer, Sedge.

7:37:37 > 7:37:41Whilst George gets to work, I meet his sister, Ava, to talk about what

7:37:41 > 7:37:43this build means to her.

7:37:43 > 7:37:47Ava, what is it like at the moment when you play with George?

7:37:47 > 7:37:49Because I know he is a little bit poorly.

7:37:49 > 7:37:51How does that affect your playtime?

7:37:51 > 7:37:54Do you get to play when he's in there?

7:37:54 > 7:37:56No, not at all.

7:37:56 > 7:37:59On the wards, you are on with other people,

7:37:59 > 7:38:02you don't get your own room, so you can't really play.

7:38:02 > 7:38:03It is quite hard.

7:38:03 > 7:38:07Which I guess is why this place here is so amazing,

7:38:07 > 7:38:10because it's a space where you guys can come together

7:38:10 > 7:38:13and do whatever you want and run about and really play, isn't it?

7:38:13 > 7:38:17Yeah, I'm really excited to have this den because it is going to help

7:38:17 > 7:38:20a lot of people and I think it will really help George too.

7:38:20 > 7:38:24- You are quite a big Blue Peter fan? - Yeah, I really love it.

7:38:24 > 7:38:25- Who is the best presenter?- You.

7:38:25 > 7:38:28Well, there we go, I thought you might say that.

7:38:28 > 7:38:31Listen, Ava, well done, there's your very own Blue Peter badge!

7:38:31 > 7:38:33- Thank you.- Well done.

7:38:35 > 7:38:37I've got a little surprise for George, as well. Come on.

7:38:37 > 7:38:38How's it going?

7:38:38 > 7:38:41We thought because you have laid these slabs so well,

7:38:41 > 7:38:44you have earned your very own Blue Peter badge.

7:38:44 > 7:38:47- Thank you.- Did you expect that? - No.- That is yours to keep.

7:38:47 > 7:38:48- Well done, you.- Thank you.

7:38:51 > 7:38:53So, two badges awarded for appearing on BP.

7:38:54 > 7:38:58Now I've been told there's a very special tile that needs a finishing touch

7:38:58 > 7:39:00and I'm just the person for the job.

7:39:00 > 7:39:04I am worried, there's so much to get done, but it's really coming on.

7:39:04 > 7:39:06- I have lured you here for a reason. - Why?

7:39:06 > 7:39:09Because this is finished. Look.

7:39:09 > 7:39:13- The Blue Peter tile! Look at that. - It's not quite finished.

7:39:13 > 7:39:16- We have to do a little bit of peeling.- Peeling?

7:39:16 > 7:39:19- Come here, look, I'll show you. - Right.

7:39:19 > 7:39:23- We have got to peel this, basically. - OK.- That black sticky stuff...

7:39:23 > 7:39:27- I like peeling things.- OK, this is not going to be something you enjoy.

7:39:27 > 7:39:31OK. Are you for real? Is that how much comes off at a time?

7:39:31 > 7:39:33We'll be here all day. Where do I start?

7:39:33 > 7:39:35Anywhere you like. That's the beauty of this.

7:39:35 > 7:39:37- Hey, look, I've got a big bit. - Yes.

7:39:37 > 7:39:39- I love this.- How have you done that?

7:39:41 > 7:39:43Easy!

7:39:43 > 7:39:46The BP tile takes its place surrounded by some

7:39:46 > 7:39:50of your wonderful designs, from horses to holidays.

7:39:51 > 7:39:55There is even a tile designed by footballer Steven Gerrard.

7:39:56 > 7:39:59They have all played a part in transforming this area to

7:39:59 > 7:40:04create a beautiful happy path at the heart of this awe-inspiring den.

7:40:05 > 7:40:08What an amazing day it's been, just seeing all these people

7:40:08 > 7:40:11come together to really make this project happen,

7:40:11 > 7:40:13is actually quite incredible.

7:40:13 > 7:40:15And to know that you lot at home, our Blue Peter audience,

7:40:15 > 7:40:17you have been a little part of that.

7:40:17 > 7:40:19Do you know what, though, it's been a long day

7:40:19 > 7:40:22and I think, er, I think they're good. I think my work here is done.

7:40:24 > 7:40:28Do you know what, mate, it's always me and you left with the clearing up.

7:40:28 > 7:40:30- Yeah.- I think Lindsey can do it. - I think so, mate.

7:40:30 > 7:40:33- Lindsey!- Lindsey!

7:40:35 > 7:40:36A bit naughty.

7:40:36 > 7:40:38If you want to see how that den ended up, you can -

7:41:16 > 7:41:20A question for you, number one in 36 countries, or world karate champion,

7:41:20 > 7:41:22what's the best?

7:41:22 > 7:41:25Oh, they're pretty good, both of them, but I think...

7:41:25 > 7:41:27Yes!

7:41:27 > 7:41:29This badge is the winner.

7:41:29 > 7:41:32- You are a winner too because you will be performing live later on, aren't you?- Yeah, yeah.

7:41:32 > 7:41:35- What's your new single called? - It's called Heavy.

7:42:07 > 7:42:10- OK.- Ed Sheeran, I know him well. - That's quite a big deal.

7:42:10 > 7:42:12Listen, let's walk this way.

7:42:12 > 7:42:14Do you want to help with the Big Badge Wall?

7:42:14 > 7:42:16Feast your eyes upon it, my friends.

7:42:16 > 7:42:19Look at it in all of its colour and portrait-based content!

7:42:20 > 7:42:24I've got to talk about brothers James and Timothy,

7:42:24 > 7:42:28they sent in some wooden spoons, but they're wooden spoons that I like a lot.

7:42:28 > 7:42:30This one is of Lindsey with pink hair. Thank you very much, James.

7:42:30 > 7:42:32And this one is my favourite, it's from Timothy

7:42:32 > 7:42:35and this is me with a parachute from my freefall challenge.

7:42:35 > 7:42:39And, dudes, you've earned yourselves a blue and silver badge. Well done!

7:42:39 > 7:42:41They're so good, aren't they? They're brilliant.

7:42:41 > 7:42:43Check this out from Ellie and Rihannon,

7:42:43 > 7:42:45they've sent in this, it's Shelley around the world.

7:42:48 > 7:42:51She's gone to India, Australia, the North Pole,

7:42:51 > 7:42:53there's nothing Shelley can't do.

7:42:55 > 7:42:57Anne-Marie, talk to me.

7:42:57 > 7:42:59This one stuck out for me.

7:42:59 > 7:43:03It's bright yellow, that is a good colour and I love Christmas trees.

7:43:03 > 7:43:06So, Alfie, I think he deserves a Blue Peter badge.

7:43:06 > 7:43:09- Absolutely.- You are helping with our Blue Peter Christmas card later.

7:43:09 > 7:43:13- I am, yes.- It's like you're inspired by Alfie.- Yes.

7:43:13 > 7:43:15Inspiration is the word.

7:43:15 > 7:43:17If you can see any of your posters on the Big Badge Wall,

7:43:17 > 7:43:19that means you get a Blue Peter badge.

7:43:19 > 7:43:22If you get yourself one of those, you may well just know this,

7:43:22 > 7:43:23you get into over 200 attractions.

7:43:23 > 7:43:25AnneMarie, get your voice ready...

7:43:25 > 7:43:27ALL: # For free! #

7:43:28 > 7:43:30Oh, that was a bit ropey.

7:43:30 > 7:43:32I apologise, I apologise.

7:43:32 > 7:43:36Hold on tight, because it's time for a very, very fast car. Voom!

7:43:38 > 7:43:41On BP, we absolutely love a challenge.

7:43:41 > 7:43:44But I have come to Cornwall to meet a team who may love pushing

7:43:44 > 7:43:46themselves to the limit even more.

7:43:47 > 7:43:51In 1997, they set the record for the fastest speed

7:43:51 > 7:43:53ever travelled on land,

7:43:53 > 7:43:58driving a car at 773 mph.

7:43:58 > 7:44:00But these guys don't think that's fast enough,

7:44:00 > 7:44:04so they will be attempting to break 1,000 miles an hour.

7:44:04 > 7:44:08I will say that again. 1,000 mph.

7:44:13 > 7:44:15And they are going to be using this, the Bloodhound SSC.

7:44:17 > 7:44:21Powered by a jet engine and a rocket, over the next few years

7:44:21 > 7:44:25the team are hoping to break the land speed record in South Africa

7:44:25 > 7:44:27and eventually reach 1,000 mph.

7:44:28 > 7:44:31To get there, they need to do tests, lots of tests.

7:44:33 > 7:44:37- OK, Andy, happy with your car checks?- She's good.

7:44:37 > 7:44:41I have been given amazing access to help out at the team's latest trials.

7:44:43 > 7:44:47It's not every day you get a Bloodhound car into position.

7:44:47 > 7:44:51The engineering that will make this thing move is cutting-edge.

7:44:51 > 7:44:54It's got more horsepower than 800 family cars

7:44:54 > 7:44:57and the inside of the rocket that powers it

7:44:57 > 7:45:00is twice as hot as the centre of a volcano.

7:45:01 > 7:45:05This is not the first time BP and the Bloodhound have met. Oh, no!

7:45:05 > 7:45:11A couple of years ago, a certain Barney Harwood went to find out how something like this is built.

7:45:11 > 7:45:15In 2015, Barney went to Bristol to help out at the very

7:45:15 > 7:45:17beginning of the car's construction.

7:45:17 > 7:45:19This is a jet engine we are looking at here, isn't it?

7:45:19 > 7:45:22Yes, this is a jet engine out of a Eurofighter Typhoon

7:45:22 > 7:45:25and this is what we use to get the car rolling.

7:45:25 > 7:45:28This machine actually has three engines and is held

7:45:28 > 7:45:33together by a carbon fibre frame, just like Formula 1 cars.

7:45:33 > 7:45:34Back then, it was all in bits,

7:45:34 > 7:45:37so Barney got the chance to start putting it together.

7:45:39 > 7:45:41The ultimate Blue Peter make, this, isn't it?

7:45:41 > 7:45:45It was a job he took very seriously.

7:45:45 > 7:45:47HE MAKES CAR NOISES

7:45:47 > 7:45:49Super speed.

7:45:49 > 7:45:51Brrrrrrrrr....

7:45:51 > 7:45:54After Barney's, er...help,

7:45:54 > 7:45:56it took more than two years of work to get the car

7:45:56 > 7:45:59ready for today's testing.

7:45:59 > 7:46:00So, let's catch up and find out

7:46:00 > 7:46:02exactly what's gone on in those two years.

7:46:02 > 7:46:04- Jules, how are you doing? - Hi, Lindsey.

7:46:04 > 7:46:08What's happened since we last saw you? Quite a lot by the looks of it.

7:46:08 > 7:46:10When you last saw the car, it was all in pieces.

7:46:10 > 7:46:11We've put it all together now.

7:46:11 > 7:46:13We've come down to Cornwall Airport

7:46:13 > 7:46:15and we started off doing really slow tests down the runway

7:46:15 > 7:46:17to make sure everything worked.

7:46:17 > 7:46:19How fast are you going today?

7:46:19 > 7:46:22- We started off at 20mph..- OK.- ..and now we're building up to 200mph.

7:46:24 > 7:46:27That's already pretty speedy, isn't it?

7:46:27 > 7:46:32Today's test is just one step towards the final target, 1,000mph,

7:46:32 > 7:46:36but it will give the team an idea of how the car will react.

7:46:36 > 7:46:40Here to see it are local schools, eager to learn about the science

7:46:40 > 7:46:45of speed, and I'm discovering how heavy all that technology can be.

7:46:45 > 7:46:48Am I pushing this on my own? Come on!

7:46:48 > 7:46:50It's not that light!

7:46:50 > 7:46:53An engine as big as this needs a bit of a kick-start,

7:46:53 > 7:46:55and I'm getting to do just that.

7:46:56 > 7:46:58It's fairly heavy, but...

7:46:58 > 7:47:01OK, that is quite heavy.

7:47:01 > 7:47:03- OK, pushing it in... - Give it a good push.

7:47:04 > 7:47:09Driver RAF Wing Commander Andy Green holds the current land speed record,

7:47:09 > 7:47:14and uses all his experience as he goes through final safety checks.

7:47:14 > 7:47:17I cannot imagine what is going through Andy's head

7:47:17 > 7:47:19as he prepares to go 200mph.

7:47:20 > 7:47:22This has gone from being really fun

7:47:22 > 7:47:26and a bit of a laugh, to quite serious.

7:47:26 > 7:47:27Everyone is really focused.

7:47:29 > 7:47:30Everything is set.

7:47:30 > 7:47:33It's time to see what this car can do.

7:47:36 > 7:47:37- RADIO:- You're clear to roll.

7:47:37 > 7:47:39Surface wind is six o'clock at 13 knots.

7:47:40 > 7:47:42Andy's in position, it's go time.

7:47:44 > 7:47:47- ANDY:- 30, delta...

7:47:47 > 7:47:48This is going to be loud.

7:47:53 > 7:47:55Look at the heat!

7:47:56 > 7:47:58It's moving!

7:48:02 > 7:48:04Whoo!

7:48:08 > 7:48:10- RADIO:- Ready to start.

7:48:10 > 7:48:11Five, four,

7:48:11 > 7:48:14three, two, one.

7:48:14 > 7:48:16ENGINE BLASTS

7:48:16 > 7:48:18Oh!

7:48:24 > 7:48:26Wow! That is fast.

7:48:26 > 7:48:30Bloodhound hits 200mph for just a matter of seconds.

7:48:30 > 7:48:33Any longer and it could run out of runway.

7:48:33 > 7:48:38But in the open South African desert, that won't be a problem.

7:48:38 > 7:48:42I cannot imagine what 1,000mph is going to look like.

7:48:43 > 7:48:45Unbelievable!

7:48:45 > 7:48:49And those few seconds seem to have wowed the crowd.

7:48:49 > 7:48:51I felt like the hairs on my neck were standing up.

7:48:51 > 7:48:55Really loud. It just sounded amazing.

7:48:55 > 7:48:57It was pretty nerve-racking,

7:48:57 > 7:49:00because you never know what could happen, going that fast.

7:49:00 > 7:49:04It was really cool. It made me vibrate.

7:49:04 > 7:49:07For the team, it seems mission accomplished.

7:49:07 > 7:49:09For now.

7:49:09 > 7:49:11Hopefully all the kids enjoyed seeing it.

7:49:11 > 7:49:13I was going to say, the crowd went wild!

7:49:13 > 7:49:15- They were loving it.- That's exactly what we're after.

7:49:15 > 7:49:16That is why you're here.

7:49:16 > 7:49:19That's almost like the dress rehearsal done, and now you've

7:49:19 > 7:49:24got to do the real thing in South Africa at five times that speed.

7:49:24 > 7:49:27- Do you think you can do it? - I'm absolutely certain we'll do it.

7:49:27 > 7:49:30Blue Peter has been there from the very beginning to bring you

7:49:30 > 7:49:34the latest from this rocket-powered record attempt.

7:49:34 > 7:49:36What an incredible day that was.

7:49:36 > 7:49:39I am genuinely in awe and feeling totally inspired,

7:49:39 > 7:49:41hopefully you are, too.

7:49:41 > 7:49:43All that's left to say is a huge good luck to

7:49:43 > 7:49:45the team in South Africa.

7:49:45 > 7:49:46I know they can get that world record.

7:49:48 > 7:49:51That was just the most amazing thing to experience.

7:49:51 > 7:49:55Now, this Blue Peter ep is called Anne-Marie and the Christmas Card,

7:49:55 > 7:49:57so I think it's time for Anne-Marie and the Christmas card.

7:49:57 > 7:49:59Adrian, I am going to kick it.

7:49:59 > 7:50:01RADZI LAUGHS

7:50:01 > 7:50:03That was a wicked shot, Adrian, thank you very much, me old mucker.

7:50:03 > 7:50:06Now Anne-Marie, your new single is called Heavy, so we've put

7:50:06 > 7:50:11a weight on the Christmas card, and try to open it quickly.

7:50:11 > 7:50:13Whoo!

7:50:13 > 7:50:15I like that a lot.

7:50:15 > 7:50:17That dance says to me,

7:50:17 > 7:50:19"Radzi, I'd like to know how to make the Christmas card."

7:50:19 > 7:50:21- Am I correct?- I'd love to know.

7:50:21 > 7:50:23This is what you need. Tell 'em, Anne-Marie.

7:50:33 > 7:50:36- Give this lady a round of applause. - APPLAUSE

7:50:36 > 7:50:40We're starting off with that A4 card and folding it in half.

7:50:40 > 7:50:42We're going to do this quickly, you'll have loads of time at home.

7:50:42 > 7:50:45I'm opening it back up and you can see I've put four dots there.

7:50:45 > 7:50:47We're going to make them symmetrical

7:50:47 > 7:50:49on either side of the fold.

7:50:49 > 7:50:50Put a bit of Blu-Tack underneath

7:50:50 > 7:50:54and I'm going to press my way to making four holes.

7:50:54 > 7:50:55Please do make sure you ask

7:50:55 > 7:50:58a parent or guardian's advice, so we do it safety.

7:50:58 > 7:51:00Tim Ward wouldn't be happy.

7:51:00 > 7:51:01Health and safety never takes a day off.

7:51:01 > 7:51:04Anne-Marie, while I do that, can you cut the piece of elastic,

7:51:04 > 7:51:07which gives our snow launcher that extra bit of launch?

7:51:09 > 7:51:12If we now push it through this hole here.

7:51:12 > 7:51:15And then we're going to tie that into... Thank you, Anne-Marie.

7:51:15 > 7:51:16..into a cheeky knot.

7:51:16 > 7:51:19It's worth adding, this is a normal elastic band.

7:51:19 > 7:51:24No tricks, no wizardry, no smoke and mirrors here.

7:51:24 > 7:51:26I'm going to tie that knot there, force feed it through,

7:51:26 > 7:51:28and do the same on the other side.

7:51:28 > 7:51:31Once you have done that, in all four holes...

7:51:31 > 7:51:32Here is one, Anne-Marie!

7:51:32 > 7:51:34This one, we made earlier!

7:51:34 > 7:51:36CHEERING

7:51:36 > 7:51:37And it will look like this.

7:51:37 > 7:51:39We've got Sellotape on the back -

7:51:39 > 7:51:42or sticky tape, rather, other brands are available -

7:51:42 > 7:51:45on the back, just to secure it in place.

7:51:45 > 7:51:47You can see it's not that rigid.

7:51:47 > 7:51:50That's where the next piece of card comes in, which helps disguise it.

7:51:50 > 7:51:52- When you have done that, it will look like this.- Mmm.

7:51:52 > 7:51:54- Rather decorative and all rather nice.- Mmm.

7:51:54 > 7:51:57- Can we have a mmm, like Anne-Marie just did?- Mmm.- Mmm.

7:51:57 > 7:51:59So, now we are going to make the snow launcher itself.

7:51:59 > 7:52:02Anne-Marie, could you fold lengthways, thirds, please?

7:52:02 > 7:52:05- Yes.- Thank you very much.

7:52:05 > 7:52:08- Once you've done that, I will hold it in place.- Mm-hm.

7:52:08 > 7:52:13If you could thread it underneath the elastic band. Perfect.

7:52:13 > 7:52:18All you have to do now is simply fold over the snow launcher.

7:52:18 > 7:52:21You'll have more time than ourselves.

7:52:21 > 7:52:24On the end there, on that little tab, we will add a bit of glue.

7:52:24 > 7:52:27- If you will.- Mm-hm.

7:52:27 > 7:52:30- Oh, I've got your finger. - No worries, we are all friends here.

7:52:30 > 7:52:31So we've got that in place.

7:52:31 > 7:52:33We're going to forget about the launcher for a second

7:52:33 > 7:52:36and we're going to focus on the decorating.

7:52:36 > 7:52:38If I get this one here, you are thinking,

7:52:38 > 7:52:41why an earth is there a piece of ribbon down the middle?

7:52:41 > 7:52:43That's to give its gift effect a little bit later on.

7:52:43 > 7:52:45That will all become very clear.

7:52:45 > 7:52:46Anne-Marie, you're so talented,

7:52:46 > 7:52:50and you actually made these templates earlier, didn't you?

7:52:50 > 7:52:52- It took a while, it took a while. - You persevered on, Anne-Marie.

7:52:52 > 7:52:54I really admire that.

7:52:54 > 7:52:57If you'd like to stick those on in any fashion.

7:52:57 > 7:53:00There we are, went for symmetrical, I like it!

7:53:00 > 7:53:03That helps the old OCD. We're going to open it back up here.

7:53:03 > 7:53:05The snow launcher requires some snow,

7:53:05 > 7:53:09and all we've done is taken some recycled paper holes.

7:53:09 > 7:53:13Let's go all in, no moderation here.

7:53:13 > 7:53:18If this manages to work, give me a pay rise, please!

7:53:18 > 7:53:21This is a labyrinth of errors. I'm going to keep rolling this.

7:53:23 > 7:53:24I'm going to fold it.

7:53:25 > 7:53:27And I'm going to dust it down.

7:53:27 > 7:53:29Nothing to be seen, whatsoever.

7:53:29 > 7:53:33- Now we need to put a bit of ribbon over it.- Yeah.

7:53:33 > 7:53:34Thank you very much.

7:53:34 > 7:53:36While you do that...

7:53:36 > 7:53:38Do you know what, that looks absolutely spot on.

7:53:38 > 7:53:41Is there anything you'd like to say now that we've finished it?

7:53:41 > 7:53:43Actually, here's a few we made earlier.

7:53:43 > 7:53:45Yeah!

7:53:45 > 7:53:47Lindsey, come on in.

7:53:47 > 7:53:49That was very good, guys, I'm impressed!

7:53:49 > 7:53:51- Lindsey, we've got one for you, but not this one.- All right.

7:53:51 > 7:53:54- Oh, that's kind, thank you. - We've got... Hello!

7:53:54 > 7:53:56Whoo!

7:53:56 > 7:53:58This is incredible. Can I open it?

7:53:58 > 7:53:59- Please do, Linds.- OK.

7:53:59 > 7:54:01- Really fast.- One, two, three!

7:54:01 > 7:54:03Whoo!

7:54:03 > 7:54:05That's love... Oh, that's lovely.

7:54:05 > 7:54:06It was lovely.

7:54:06 > 7:54:09Anne-Marie, thank you so much for taking part. High five!

7:54:09 > 7:54:12- That's OK. Thank you. - High five.

7:54:14 > 7:54:16and whilst you're there, take a look at a whole lot of this.

7:54:40 > 7:54:42# Under the sea

7:54:42 > 7:54:43# That's where it's better

7:54:43 > 7:54:44# Down where it's wetter

7:54:44 > 7:54:47# Just wait and see. #

7:54:47 > 7:54:48LAUGHTER

7:54:50 > 7:54:51Harry Hill is a funny man.

7:54:51 > 7:54:52I know what you're thinking -

7:54:52 > 7:54:55why is Lindsey holding a genuine witch's broomstick?

7:54:55 > 7:54:57It is, isn't it? It's a real one.

7:54:57 > 7:54:58From where?

7:55:13 > 7:55:17We've got potions, the broom, a witch's hat, it's all in there.

7:55:17 > 7:55:20This broom's amazing because you can use it for the Blue Peter floor

7:55:20 > 7:55:22when it's a little bit dirty.

7:55:22 > 7:55:24Can you keep cleaning whilst I explain to these good people

7:55:24 > 7:55:26how straightforward this competition is?

7:55:26 > 7:55:29All you have to do is follow the link.

7:55:29 > 7:55:30You will then answer one question.

7:56:40 > 7:56:42Whoo!

7:56:43 > 7:56:47# When did we get so lost inside ourselves?

7:56:48 > 7:56:50# We used to be strong

7:56:50 > 7:56:53# Now it's like we don't care

7:56:53 > 7:56:56# Instead we're calling out for help

7:56:58 > 7:57:02# Don't know where we went wrong But it's so hard to share

7:57:03 > 7:57:08# All this weight left on our shoulders

7:57:08 > 7:57:12# Too much for the both of us

7:57:14 > 7:57:16# When did it get so heavy?

7:57:19 > 7:57:23# This love that's in-between us We never used to feel this

7:57:23 > 7:57:26# Feels so heavy

7:57:28 > 7:57:33# Can't get up off the ground It's weighing us down

7:57:33 > 7:57:38# When did we get so bad at being honest?

7:57:38 > 7:57:42# You got things on your mind That you don't want to say

7:57:42 > 7:57:47# I thought that we had made a promise

7:57:47 > 7:57:53# That we would never get this way

7:57:53 > 7:57:57# With all this weight left on our shoulders

7:57:57 > 7:58:02# Too much for the both of us

7:58:04 > 7:58:06# When did it get so heavy?

7:58:08 > 7:58:13# This love that's in-between us We never used to feel this

7:58:13 > 7:58:17# Feels so heavy

7:58:19 > 7:58:22# Can't get up off the ground It's weighing us down
