:00:08. > :00:12.On today's show. I look back at my favourite memorys from the past

:00:12. > :00:19.five years on Blue Peter. I have met some amazing people. What is

:00:19. > :00:26.the best way to dive out? I have had to conquer my fears. Don't drop

:00:26. > :00:36.it. I have had some nightmares. Oh no! Did that just happen? I've

:00:36. > :00:40.staired danger in the face. But I've loved every minute. Now the

:00:40. > :00:44.last five years on the show have given me some of the most

:00:44. > :00:50.phenomenon alexperiences of my life so it is time to take a look at

:00:50. > :00:57.some of the high lights, starting way back at the beginning. Bluem

:00:57. > :01:02.number 32 is Andy. -- Blue Peter. My first show was on 26th June 2006.

:01:02. > :01:09.Only a few weeks after my audition. Blue Peter was my first presenting

:01:09. > :01:18.job. What is the best way to hold these things? I was rally nervous

:01:18. > :01:28.at my audition. Nice finish. stueply told the producers I was

:01:28. > :01:34.terrified of heights. Guess what my first film was? OK. You feet want

:01:35. > :01:43.to stay high. Head low. That's it. Hole it there. Keep going. Keep it

:01:43. > :01:50.up. I was so scared. I couldn't speak or even look. Andy, you did

:01:50. > :02:00.it. Scaling heights became a bit of a reoccurring theme! I tried

:02:00. > :02:05.

:02:05. > :02:15.# I said your love # Keeps on

:02:15. > :02:32.

:02:32. > :02:42.# Higher and higher Woo! Come on! Yes! You beauty.

:02:42. > :02:53.

:02:53. > :03:03.Woo! But my most extreme height challenge was a bungee jump from a

:03:03. > :03:07.

:03:07. > :03:17.moving helicopter. We're ready. Here we go. Stand up. 4, 3, 2, 1.

:03:17. > :03:20.

:03:20. > :03:30.Woo! He did it! I am crying it is so good. Fantastic. Absolutely

:03:30. > :03:32.

:03:32. > :03:36.fantastic. Yes! How to be a lady j. I like looking good. Well, most of

:03:36. > :03:39.the time. Dressing up in ridiculous costumes on a regular basis is part

:03:39. > :03:46.of the show business side of being a Blue Peter presenter. I loved the

:03:46. > :03:56.chances I had to perform but my favourite routine was by my musical

:03:56. > :04:01.

:04:01. > :04:11.hero Michael Jackson. Thriller. # Thrill er

:04:11. > :04:12.

:04:12. > :04:22.# Killer, inside tonight # Awesome. Later on I will be taking

:04:22. > :04:29.part in a battle, of a different sort against a beat box champion.

:04:29. > :04:32.Did I just beat box there? Make sure you watch. The life of a Blue

:04:33. > :04:40.Peter presenter is nothing, if not action packed. But the time when I

:04:40. > :04:49.went in at the deep end, at a Nigerian fishing festival. Look at

:04:49. > :04:59.the sight of that fish! Since then, the action has never let up. Stop!

:04:59. > :05:04.

:05:04. > :05:14.I've gone head-to-head in unusual winter sports like curling and

:05:14. > :05:19.broom ball. Thrown myself round an urban playground. And jumped into

:05:19. > :05:25.an ice hole. I didn't really like that at all! But I really didn't

:05:25. > :05:35.enjoy the RNIL -- RNLI training exercise I took part in. I find it

:05:35. > :05:59.

:05:59. > :06:06.really hard to breathe. Help! Andy. Nothing compares to the full

:06:06. > :06:11.on action of... Turkish oil wrestling! Where is his hand going?

:06:11. > :06:16.Joel and I began by getting training from the experts. This is

:06:16. > :06:25.so tiring. Then it was time for us to get oiled up and fight it out in

:06:25. > :06:35.the local stadium. I had my hands down. We were the first to do

:06:35. > :06:37.

:06:37. > :06:41.battle there. I got you. But there could only be one winner. Thank you.

:06:41. > :06:46.Than youb you. Well done you deserved it. Music a massive part

:06:46. > :06:50.of my life and I love a bit of a beat box. During my time I have

:06:50. > :06:54.picked up some skills for beat box legended which would come in handy

:06:54. > :06:59.for this brand-new challenge. So my time on Blue Peter is almost at an

:06:59. > :07:04.end but there is one more challenge I wouldn't mind taking on. This one,

:07:04. > :07:09.I have to take on a world champion. No pressure then. In a few hours

:07:09. > :07:16.the best beat boxers from round the country will gather here at the UK

:07:16. > :07:22.beat box championships to do battle. It uses nothing but the mouth to

:07:22. > :07:26.create rhythms. Two take turns to show off their skills and the pest

:07:26. > :07:30.one wins. This is the female champion. She has been beat boxing

:07:30. > :07:35.for seven years but one challenge she has never faced is me. Tonight

:07:35. > :07:42.we will go head-to-head. I have taught myself to beat box but I

:07:42. > :07:46.have never battled anyone. Am here to meet Hobbit. This is an honour.

:07:46. > :07:51.You have judged beat boxing and you are a performer, what would you

:07:51. > :08:01.like to see before we give in a go? I have heard you have a few skills

:08:01. > :08:07.

:08:07. > :08:13.and tricks, I would like to hear Nice. There is a little something.

:08:13. > :08:23.Teach you how to do a kick drum to make it sound fat. First you have

:08:23. > :08:25.

:08:25. > :08:31.to say the word Bu. Push out the air, push that air. Yes. It sounds

:08:31. > :08:35.nice and fat. I like that. You can do a thing called a lip oscillation.

:08:35. > :08:42.It's a glorified raspberry. Let your lips do this. Then you do it

:08:42. > :08:51.with a kick drum, so you get a... see. So that brings it up a bit.

:08:51. > :08:57.That lifts it. Yeah. Mate, that is really good. Like that. One of the

:08:57. > :09:01.other things we could learn, I mean, is singing and beat boxing. I call

:09:01. > :09:05.him the Godfather of beat boxing, and the very first time I heard

:09:05. > :09:09.that was about 10, 15 years ago, he sang and beat boxed at the same

:09:09. > :09:14.time. There is three simple ways to learn how to do it. One of them,

:09:14. > :09:24.which I say is the easiest way, is to do the beat and the words

:09:24. > :09:29.

:09:29. > :09:33.separately. So it goes... Beat... Box... Beat... Box... Beat, beat...

:09:33. > :09:43.So the second way is harder but you have to be clever, is to do the

:09:43. > :09:47.

:09:47. > :09:56.beat, or the sounds and a word at the same time beat box. Now try.

:09:56. > :10:02.Beat box... Yeah. This is wicked. Brilliant. OK. Then, for the one

:10:02. > :10:08.you said you loved which is a routine, which goes if your mother

:10:08. > :10:18.only knew. So you have to go, you are going if, then you have your

:10:18. > :10:28.

:10:28. > :10:38.mother only knew. If your mother only knew... HE BEAT BOXES BADLY

:10:38. > :10:46.see trees are green -- of green, red roses too. I think to myself...

:10:46. > :10:50.What a wonderful world. That is too good. I mean things happened within

:10:50. > :10:55.me, that is music right there. For someone with a little name you have

:10:55. > :10:58.given me big TIP tips so I really appreciate it. I am using the

:10:58. > :11:03.training to come up with a routine for a battle, contestants take

:11:03. > :11:07.turns to outdo each other and the one with the most skills wins. I am

:11:07. > :11:13.going up against a World Champion so the nerves are starting to kick

:11:13. > :11:17.in. There she is. My first time on stage. In front of a hip-hop crowd.

:11:17. > :11:27.Hip-hop crowds are a little unforgiving if they hear something

:11:27. > :11:44.

:11:44. > :11:54.they don't like. It is round one of the battle. 5, 4,, 2, 1... BEAT

:11:54. > :11:54.

:11:54. > :12:43.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 49 seconds

:12:43. > :12:53.Make some noise! Andy Peters is a not a full-time beat boxer so show

:12:53. > :12:53.

:12:53. > :12:56.some love to him. The winner is Bellatrix. I am down. It was hard

:12:56. > :13:00.being up there in front of the crowd. Watching me and all that

:13:00. > :13:08.kind of stuff. I was never going to beat her but doing that was cool.

:13:08. > :13:11.Maybe I will come back next year and give her a run for her money.

:13:11. > :13:15.Morning boys. I have had unforgettable opportunities to meet

:13:15. > :13:19.vulnerable children from round the world. Have you met these guys

:13:19. > :13:26.before ever? I lived with them. was great to meet them and try to

:13:26. > :13:36.make a difference in their lives. Have Have you had a good kai day at

:13:36. > :13:40.

:13:40. > :13:46.I spent the day helping out to give her a break and to find out what

:13:46. > :13:51.life is like for her. You're a fantastic team together. But you

:13:51. > :13:59.are a superstar. She loved Egyptian history so why have the perfect

:13:59. > :14:09.surprise. We are flying to Egypt! To see the permanence. Oh my God!

:14:09. > :14:10.

:14:10. > :14:16.And a lot more of Egypt! We're going to eejit tomorrow. And just

:14:16. > :14:20.on my way to see this young boy. Then I met this young boy in South

:14:21. > :14:23.Africa. He lives on his own because he lost his parents and he

:14:23. > :14:31.struggles to make ends meet, especially when it comes to getting

:14:31. > :14:34.a decent meal. Hour appeal helped him to improve his diet. And I went

:14:34. > :14:42.back to South Africa again to mentor a group of young people from

:14:42. > :14:47.the UK who were taking part in the street World Cup. The team had

:14:47. > :14:55.success in early rounds but we eventually could not hide our

:14:55. > :15:01.emotions. I tried my best. It's not about me, it is about what they

:15:01. > :15:06.have done on the pitch. But the disappointment of losing the match

:15:06. > :15:10.was put into perspective when we saw the harsh conditions for

:15:10. > :15:13.children in a South African township. The team do not know

:15:13. > :15:23.quite how to react. They are absorbing everything that is around

:15:23. > :15:29.them. And it is dawning on them that we are in South Africa. Sport

:15:29. > :15:37.is something very close to my heart. I have had the chance to improve my

:15:37. > :15:40.skills in sports I already play. Like football. And sprinting. It's

:15:40. > :15:50.a personal best! And I tried a range of new ones like pole-

:15:50. > :15:51.

:15:51. > :16:00.vaulting. It looks like and throwing the javelin. American

:16:00. > :16:05.football... And trampolining. I also got to meet some of my

:16:05. > :16:14.sporting heroes. There is a raw energy. I challenge you to beat my

:16:14. > :16:17.time. It is on! When I started on Blue Peter I could not even drive.

:16:17. > :16:26.One of my first challenges was to learn to drive and you followed me

:16:26. > :16:34.all the way. What's the verdict? You have passed! Oh my goodness!

:16:34. > :16:38.From then on, I had the driving bug. It was not long before I took it up

:16:38. > :16:48.a gear to get my truck licence. And then I faced the ultimate driving

:16:48. > :16:58.

:16:58. > :17:02.challenge. Truck racing. Go, Andy! Eat my dust! In my first-ever race

:17:02. > :17:12.I got off to a flying start but half-way around I lost my focus and

:17:12. > :17:16.

:17:16. > :17:26.made a massive mistake. Despite the crash I was determined to cross the

:17:26. > :17:37.

:17:37. > :17:47.Some of my favourite moment on the show have been when things have not

:17:47. > :18:05.

:18:05. > :18:15.exactly gone to plan. Oh, no! Oh! Here we go... No! I think this pay

:18:15. > :18:28.

:18:29. > :18:34.This water... At its going all over me like a jet. Any more pressure?

:18:34. > :18:41.But perhaps this was my biggest mistake... I was told I would have

:18:41. > :18:45.to put this on top of that... I felt like a superstar. Every year

:18:45. > :18:53.since 1947, Norway has presented the UK with an enormous Christmas

:18:53. > :18:57.tree for Trafalgar Square. What is a Christmas tree without its star?

:18:57. > :19:07.Getting the preparations right is of international importance. So,

:19:07. > :19:14.

:19:14. > :19:20.asking me to get involved might not Oh my goodness! I have just dropped

:19:20. > :19:28.the start! Oh, no! Did that just happen? I am so happy that has not

:19:28. > :19:34.smashed. Over the last few years I have been very lucky to meet some

:19:34. > :19:39.seriously cool people. I have been told that they have left me some

:19:39. > :19:44.goodbye messages. Let's have a look... I can't believe you are

:19:44. > :19:50.leaving, just five years. You told me he would stay until Arsenal won

:19:50. > :19:54.something. But then you can't wait that long! We will miss you. It's

:19:54. > :19:58.the Saturdays. You want to wish you the best of luck with everything.

:19:58. > :20:01.We will really miss you. It will not be the same without you.

:20:01. > :20:06.were there with you at the very beginning and went through a lot

:20:06. > :20:13.together. Thank you so much for looking after us up until now.

:20:13. > :20:19.Thank you! We cannot believe you are leaving Blue Peter. It hardly

:20:19. > :20:22.seems like five years. Good luck from everyone on BBC Breakfast.

:20:22. > :20:29.This is the messy, Total Wipeout champion, because I beat you in the

:20:29. > :20:33.final. You would have done well anyway but good luck for the future.

:20:33. > :20:37.You have been an absolute legend ever since I watched you at the

:20:37. > :20:43.very start. When I first worked with you and becoming a friend. I

:20:43. > :20:48.love you, body. I am really sorry to hear you will be leaving Blue

:20:48. > :20:53.Peter. But, hey, it's all about the future so good luck. And hopefully

:20:53. > :21:00.I will see you soon. Goodbye and all the best. I'll second that. You

:21:00. > :21:05.have been great and amazing. Good luck. You are leaving? And will

:21:05. > :21:09.miss you. We had a lot of fun on the show and I hope that you do

:21:09. > :21:13.whatever you do and it will be amazing. I want to say good luck

:21:13. > :21:18.with everything. You have been amazing on Blue Peter and it was

:21:18. > :21:21.lovely meeting. I have got so many fond memories of working with you.

:21:22. > :21:25.You have been a complete star. I have no doubt that star will

:21:25. > :21:34.continue to grow now that you are jumping ship. Congratulations on

:21:34. > :21:41.everything you have achieved. Well done. Along the sea. Call me...

:21:41. > :21:47.Keep in touch. I just wanted to say goodbye and good luck. It's been

:21:47. > :21:53.great having a Blue Peter and I wish you all the best. Andy? Are

:21:53. > :21:58.you ready for the big leagues? To face the big boys? The likes of me?

:21:58. > :22:04.We are no longer friends... We're now mortal enemies locked in combat

:22:04. > :22:12.and it might seem like the end. But it's only the beginning... Could

:22:13. > :22:16.buy, fair and D. For now... captain of the UK team here, just a

:22:16. > :22:20.message from the squad and other team members, good luck in life.

:22:20. > :22:27.Whatever you do, you'll be very successful so keep it up and you

:22:27. > :22:31.will go far. I would not cry. I can't... That's amazing. Look at

:22:31. > :22:39.all this. It's bizarre to think the amount of stuff I have done and all

:22:39. > :22:46.the great people I have met. Next week, after my last ever Blue Peter

:22:46. > :22:50.on Tuesday, I will have a web chat so log-on for a final chance to say

:22:50. > :22:56.goodbye. You can also get involved in the ongoing message boards about

:22:56. > :23:02.my time on the show. Thank you all for joining the on my adventures on

:23:02. > :23:07.the picture. And sharing some of my highs and lows. There is time for
