6:33:04 > 6:33:07And I'm especially excited because I am going to be playing

6:33:07 > 6:33:10the game show host with the most

6:33:10 > 6:33:13as Lindsey and Barney will be battling it out on the sand

6:33:13 > 6:33:14very, very shortly, but before then,

6:33:14 > 6:33:17I'd like to bring you back to last week's show when we had

6:33:17 > 6:33:19athletes Libby Clegg and Mikael Huggins.

6:33:19 > 6:33:22They represented Team Scotland in the Commonwealth Games and, in the

6:33:22 > 6:33:26T12 100m category, they won gold.

6:33:26 > 6:33:28- Amazing. Congratulations. - I am pumped for them.

6:33:28 > 6:33:33- Give them a round of applause!- Very proud of them here at Blue Peter.

6:33:33 > 6:33:34Also, over the summer,

6:33:34 > 6:33:36I'm going to be taking on an epic Blue Peter challenge.

6:33:36 > 6:33:38It's always epic, isn't it?

6:33:38 > 6:33:40- And I can give you a bit of a clue as to what it is.- OK.

6:33:40 > 6:33:42The training takes part on a beach.

6:33:42 > 6:33:45- Got it.- Is it building the world's biggest sand castle?

6:33:45 > 6:33:47No but that would be amazing.

6:33:47 > 6:33:49Is it digging the biggest hole ever on a beach?

6:33:49 > 6:33:51- No.- Is it eating so much ice cream

6:33:51 > 6:33:53that you sick all over the car on the way home?

6:33:53 > 6:33:55What a lovely challenge that would be(!)

6:33:55 > 6:33:58I could do that quite well. It's none of those. Stop guessing.

6:33:58 > 6:34:01- You'll find out later.- That got us thinking, we want to hear from you.

6:34:01 > 6:34:04We want to know if you could take on any challenge this summer,

6:34:04 > 6:34:07what would it be and why? We love hearing from you.

6:34:07 > 6:34:10- What would you do?- If I had the talent, I would just love to

6:34:10 > 6:34:12take on Usain Bolt in the Commonwealth Games. That'd be it.

6:34:12 > 6:34:15- That's a dream challenge. - That I would want to see on my telly.

6:34:15 > 6:34:16How about you guys over here?

6:34:16 > 6:34:18What would you do if you got a massive challenge?

6:34:18 > 6:34:21You are the coolest person in the world! Hi.

6:34:21 > 6:34:23If you could have a big challenge, what would it be?

6:34:23 > 6:34:25To eat a tomato because I hate them.

6:34:25 > 6:34:28So it's overcoming your biggest fear of tomatoes.

6:34:28 > 6:34:31I like that. That's what Blue Peter's all about.

6:34:31 > 6:34:34- How about you?- I would teach one of my friends to play netball

6:34:34 > 6:34:37- to earn my badge.- It's a girl who knows her stuff over here.

6:34:37 > 6:34:39Have you noticed that? The sport badge is a big thing.

6:34:39 > 6:34:43We want to hear from you so head to the website.

6:34:43 > 6:34:46Let us know what challenge you get up to this summer and why.

6:34:46 > 6:34:47At the end of the show

6:34:47 > 6:34:50we'll read out as many of your comments as we can.

6:34:50 > 6:34:52We know you lot at home love playing games

6:34:52 > 6:34:55so we thought, "We're here at the beach, it's the summer,

6:34:55 > 6:34:57"we're going to get in on the action as well,"

6:34:57 > 6:35:00and our game is formed of three rounds. One game in each round.

6:35:00 > 6:35:02It's called Blue Peter Beach Games!

6:35:02 > 6:35:05CHEERING

6:35:05 > 6:35:07Walk this way.

6:35:07 > 6:35:11I have a little bit of packing for our caper here. It's fair to say

6:35:11 > 6:35:14I've done a little bit of packing. What do you reckon of my efforts?

6:35:14 > 6:35:17- Pretty good.- We're here for a day so that's a lot.

6:35:17 > 6:35:19- That's funny. - That is a very fair point..

6:35:19 > 6:35:22The way this game is going to work, the winning team will be

6:35:22 > 6:35:25the first team to correctly spell... Nicely caught.

6:35:25 > 6:35:27- I got it!- ..the word surf. - I'm putting it on.

6:35:27 > 6:35:31Those letters are hidden somewhere in each of these piles of cases.

6:35:31 > 6:35:35- Does that make sense?- Yeah, I think so.- Yes. It makes sense.

6:35:35 > 6:35:38- I should have added a little bit of jeopardy to this.- Go on.

6:35:38 > 6:35:42The overall loser over three rounds will have their head covered

6:35:42 > 6:35:44in a bucket courtesy of the bucket of doom!

6:35:44 > 6:35:46Oh, really?

6:35:46 > 6:35:48What is in there? It looks gross.

6:35:48 > 6:35:52Seaweed, ice cubes, water and things I cannot name right now.

6:35:52 > 6:35:54I don't want to know.

6:35:54 > 6:35:56I've got to win this!

6:35:56 > 6:35:59- It is now time to start the countdown.- Ready.- Everyone, please.

6:35:59 > 6:36:02ALL: Three, two, one!

6:36:02 > 6:36:03CHEERING

6:36:03 > 6:36:05They're off straightaway.

6:36:07 > 6:36:09ALL SHOUT AT ONCE

6:36:15 > 6:36:19Hang on a second! We've got four letters!

6:36:19 > 6:36:23Lindsey is lagging behind! Lindsey's got two letters.

6:36:23 > 6:36:24Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop!

6:36:24 > 6:36:26KLAXON BLARES

6:36:26 > 6:36:27Oh, yes! Stop right there.

6:36:27 > 6:36:29Barney has gone crazy.

6:36:29 > 6:36:31It's an amazing celebratory run.

6:36:31 > 6:36:33We first go with what Lindsey's team...

6:36:33 > 6:36:35Let's look at Lindsey's team here.

6:36:35 > 6:36:39We have a U, we have an R, we have an S as well. We have SUR.

6:36:39 > 6:36:41Let's look at Barney's team.

6:36:41 > 6:36:44We have an S, a U, an R and an F, meaning the round one winner

6:36:44 > 6:36:48- and the recipient of one point is Team Barney!- Thank you!

6:36:48 > 6:36:49CHEERING

6:36:50 > 6:36:53Well excited. Team Barney, you are legends.

6:36:53 > 6:36:55You're not just holding a word that spells out surf,

6:36:55 > 6:36:57you're also giving a really big clue

6:36:57 > 6:37:00as to my challenge might be this summer.

6:37:00 > 6:37:02- OK, should I tell you?- Tell us.

6:37:02 > 6:37:05I'm learning to surf. Don't laugh.

6:37:05 > 6:37:07It's going to be over the summer.

6:37:07 > 6:37:09But it's not just an ordinary wave like you see behind us,

6:37:09 > 6:37:12- it's going to be the Severn Bore. - No!- Look at this.

6:37:12 > 6:37:15This thing can reach up to 50 feet in the air. It's ridiculous.

6:37:15 > 6:37:18I'm going to try and do as much training as I can over the summer

6:37:18 > 6:37:20to learn to surf cos I need to know how to surf safe.

6:37:20 > 6:37:23So a few weeks ago I went to Croyde Bay in Devon to meet these people

6:37:23 > 6:37:27- who know all it. I'm out of breath, really.- You are out of breath.- Oh!

6:37:27 > 6:37:29This is Croyde Bay in the south-west of England,

6:37:29 > 6:37:33a popular area for pro surfers to hang out and catch some waves.

6:37:33 > 6:37:36I'm here today because I've heard there's a group of surf life-savers

6:37:36 > 6:37:39who are going to teach me how to stay safe on the beach.

6:37:39 > 6:37:41I'm sure they're around here somewhere.

6:37:41 > 6:37:43SCREAMING

6:37:45 > 6:37:47Surf life-saving began in Australia

6:37:47 > 6:37:51over 100 years ago to protect people on local beaches in Sydney.

6:37:53 > 6:37:57It was introduced to Britain in 1953 and, since then, over 70 clubs

6:37:57 > 6:38:00of life-savers have sprung up across the country.

6:38:02 > 6:38:04Surf life-saving is what teaches

6:38:04 > 6:38:07people how to go on and become lifeguards.

6:38:07 > 6:38:08They might be part of their local club

6:38:08 > 6:38:12and then will go on and do their lifeguard qualification.

6:38:12 > 6:38:13That brings us to Liv, Phoebe and Charlie.

6:38:13 > 6:38:15- ALL:- Hello.- You've just qualified.

6:38:15 > 6:38:18- Congratulations. How do you feel about that?- Good.- Pleased.

6:38:18 > 6:38:21- Did it take a long time to get there? - We've been training since January.

6:38:21 > 6:38:24So what happens? Somebody's in trouble, you spot it.

6:38:24 > 6:38:26What happens next?

6:38:26 > 6:38:28So, you, like, see someone in the water

6:38:28 > 6:38:31and so you get your board, run out and you put them onto the board

6:38:31 > 6:38:34and take them back in, call other lifeguards over to help them.

6:38:34 > 6:38:37I'm learning to surf at the moment so I need to pick up tips

6:38:37 > 6:38:39while I'm here to try and help you out.

6:38:39 > 6:38:42- What should I need to think about? - Safety, obviously, always first.

6:38:42 > 6:38:45So you've got to know the conditions that your in.

6:38:45 > 6:38:47The beach you're at and what rips there might be.

6:38:47 > 6:38:50Rips being what the title looks like as it's coming towards you?

6:38:50 > 6:38:53Yeah, and water that funnels out to sea. It'll just take you with it.

6:38:53 > 6:38:56So as long as you know where they are and know how to get out of them,

6:38:56 > 6:38:57you'll be fine.

6:39:02 > 6:39:04Club volunteers like these have rescued

6:39:04 > 6:39:07thousands of surfers of the years but there is a fun side, too,

6:39:07 > 6:39:10with regular competitions between clubs.

6:39:10 > 6:39:14Surf life-saving is a multidisciplinary sport.

6:39:14 > 6:39:17It involves boarding, running, swimming.

6:39:17 > 6:39:20And they learn loads of other valuable skills.

6:39:21 > 6:39:25Sounds great and, of course, I want a go.

6:39:25 > 6:39:27First question, Phoebe. What's the hat for?

6:39:27 > 6:39:30Well, it represents what clubs you come from

6:39:30 > 6:39:32so each different club has a different colour hat.

6:39:32 > 6:39:34- Plus it looks cool. - Yeah. Ours is very bright.

6:39:34 > 6:39:37And what's happening behind us here, Liv?

6:39:37 > 6:39:40This is a key competition discipline and it's called Flags

6:39:40 > 6:39:44and it's to test your speed, agility and reaction times.

6:39:44 > 6:39:46- Am I having a go at this?- Yes.- Yeah.

6:39:49 > 6:39:51THEY SHOUT

6:39:51 > 6:39:53'The aim of flags is simple - to be the last one

6:39:53 > 6:39:56'left in the game. Everyone runs towards the flags on the ground

6:39:56 > 6:39:59'and if you don't get one you're eliminated. The trick is

6:39:59 > 6:40:00'there are more people than flags.

6:40:00 > 6:40:03'It's a bit like musical chairs but on the beach.'

6:40:03 > 6:40:06Now you've had a little practice, do you want a competition against us?

6:40:06 > 6:40:09Oh, bring it on.

6:40:09 > 6:40:11THEY SHOUT

6:40:19 > 6:40:22Yeah, OK, fine. You win.

6:40:22 > 6:40:25'Racing around on the sand is all very well and good

6:40:25 > 6:40:28'but my surf challenge will be in the water.'

6:40:28 > 6:40:31We're talking about a different kind of skill cos we're using water

6:40:31 > 6:40:32as well. What are we going to learn here?

6:40:32 > 6:40:34We're going to do wading first.

6:40:34 > 6:40:37- OK.- Cos that's how you get into the water.- You need high knees

6:40:37 > 6:40:38cos you're trying to get

6:40:38 > 6:40:40as little body in the water as possible at all times.

6:40:40 > 6:40:43- It's like stepping over hurdles. - Yeah.

6:40:43 > 6:40:45- But we're stepping over the waves.- All the time.- OK.

6:40:45 > 6:40:47Then once it starts to get too deep for you,

6:40:47 > 6:40:49when you can't sleep over the waves,

6:40:49 > 6:40:51- that's when the dolphin diving comes in.- Yeah.- OK.

6:40:54 > 6:40:56That's it. Knees up, Harwood.

6:40:58 > 6:40:59And the dolphin dive.

6:41:01 > 6:41:03Now this might look like fun

6:41:03 > 6:41:07but these waves are bigger than they look and it's actually really tiring.

6:41:08 > 6:41:12- How was that?- You did well. Just remember to keep your arms...

6:41:12 > 6:41:15You were a bit like this... Keep your arms dead straight above

6:41:15 > 6:41:17your head for both body surfing and dolphin diving.

6:41:17 > 6:41:20If I think about what I've got to do in the surf challenge,

6:41:20 > 6:41:23I've got to get myself into the water and catch that wave so that's

6:41:23 > 6:41:25something that'll really help. So thank you very much.

6:41:25 > 6:41:27- That was a really good day. - Not so fast!

6:41:27 > 6:41:29We're going to do the golden dipper now.

6:41:29 > 6:41:31It's a race and you've got to do a swim and a board.

6:41:31 > 6:41:33Good luck.

6:41:33 > 6:41:36So you're saying, you've tired me out and now we're going to do a race.

6:41:36 > 6:41:38Yep. Trained you hard.

6:41:38 > 6:41:41This is Blue Peter, isn't it, after all? Come on then.

6:41:41 > 6:41:43Time to take on the wild water

6:41:43 > 6:41:46and put everything I've learned into practice.

6:41:46 > 6:41:48Take your marks! Go!

6:41:48 > 6:41:51Go, Barney!

6:41:52 > 6:41:56First I need to make it out and around a marker, using my new wading

6:41:56 > 6:41:58and dolphin diving skills.

6:42:01 > 6:42:05Then it's a race back to the shore to pick up our boards.

6:42:06 > 6:42:07SHOUTING

6:42:07 > 6:42:11I was firmly in last place, but had another stage to try and catch up.

6:42:11 > 6:42:13Whose idea was this?

6:42:13 > 6:42:17It's back out to the marker. This time with a board.

6:42:17 > 6:42:19But this is much harder than I expected.

6:42:21 > 6:42:25And to make matters worse, a great big wave has just washed

6:42:25 > 6:42:28my life-saving board all the way back to the shore.

6:42:28 > 6:42:31Which means I need rescuing.

6:42:31 > 6:42:33Thanks, Liv.

6:42:33 > 6:42:35Oh! And we're off again.

6:42:35 > 6:42:38This doesn't bode very well for my surf challenge, does it?

6:42:38 > 6:42:39Come on, Barney!

6:42:39 > 6:42:41APPLAUSE

6:42:43 > 6:42:46You know sometimes you watch things on TV,

6:42:46 > 6:42:49and you watch the professionals do it

6:42:49 > 6:42:51and you think that looks easy...

6:42:52 > 6:42:54That's not easy.

6:42:54 > 6:42:57If you don't mine, I'm just going to...

6:43:03 > 6:43:07It's great to have so many smiling faces live on the show...

6:43:07 > 6:43:08That face plant was my favourite thing.

6:43:08 > 6:43:11It's one of my favourite things. It's such a difficult challenge.

6:43:11 > 6:43:14Thank you to Liv and Phoebe who helped me. You're amazing!

6:43:14 > 6:43:17They're probably not watching, they're out saving lives. But when

6:43:17 > 6:43:19you do watch this, thank you very much, you really helped me.

6:43:19 > 6:43:22- The question is, do you think you can do it?- At the moment - no.

6:43:22 > 6:43:25- This is a massive Blue Peter challenge.- It'll take a long time to

6:43:25 > 6:43:28practise but I'm going this weekend to practise and the weekend after.

6:43:28 > 6:43:30- So who knows?- We've got faith in you.- We do indeed.

6:43:30 > 6:43:33- Were going to be proud of you. - Back to today, it's pretty fair to

6:43:33 > 6:43:37say that this week's badge wall has a theme running through it.

6:43:37 > 6:43:39- Yeah.- There's a bit of a twist to the badge wall this week.

6:43:39 > 6:43:42Because these are the finalists of the recent badge attraction

6:43:42 > 6:43:47poster competition. In the end, over 1,500 of you got in touch.

6:43:47 > 6:43:51I know from Barney, the competition was very high.

6:43:51 > 6:43:53If you look at these, these are the finalists that made it

6:43:53 > 6:43:55through to the second round of judging.

6:43:55 > 6:43:59So all of you have earned yourselves an orange competition badge.

6:43:59 > 6:44:02I was on the judging panel for this along with two of the illustrators.

6:44:02 > 6:44:05We all decided on the day that it is one of the most difficult

6:44:05 > 6:44:08things we've done. Such a high level of detail.

6:44:08 > 6:44:10For all people who got in touch, so many to go through,

6:44:10 > 6:44:13and to choose a winner was so difficult. But we have done.

6:44:13 > 6:44:16Before we get to the winner though, let's talk runners up.

6:44:16 > 6:44:18This was third runner-up. If it doesn't blow away!

6:44:18 > 6:44:20- This is Amelie who's 11.- Wow.

6:44:20 > 6:44:22If you look at the design and what we asked you to to,

6:44:22 > 6:44:25it was all about making it eye-catching, giving us details

6:44:25 > 6:44:28about the show, what the badge does, the attractions you can go to.

6:44:28 > 6:44:31We thought that did an absolutely brilliant job. It was so clear.

6:44:31 > 6:44:33A really eye-catching design,

6:45:41 > 6:45:44So if you're into thrills, there's a roller coaster.

6:45:44 > 6:45:47- Or if you're sporty, there is a rugby ball and the stadium.- Yes.

6:45:47 > 6:45:50Then also, there's the castle, for instance,

6:46:53 > 6:46:55- as soon as we can. Kate, well done. - Thank you.

6:46:55 > 6:46:57Now, Linds, we're in North Wales,

6:46:57 > 6:46:59and it's something that goes way back to October with us,

6:46:59 > 6:47:02when we had our very first challenge, the head-to-head.

6:47:02 > 6:47:05It was! We were challenged to race around the Great Orme, which is

6:47:05 > 6:47:08just over that way, along the coast there in Llandudno.

6:47:08 > 6:47:11With a bit of training and the first lap done, it was down to the

6:47:11 > 6:47:14all-important final lap to see who was going to come out on top.

6:47:16 > 6:47:19Today our focus is this, the Great Orme,

6:47:19 > 6:47:22where there can be very little margin for error.

6:47:22 > 6:47:26Our teacher for the day was expert rally driving instructor Brian.

6:47:26 > 6:47:30While Brian begins by showing us how to drive the route, champion

6:47:30 > 6:47:34rally driver Elfyn Evans explains just why it is so difficult.

6:47:34 > 6:47:37It's a very twisty, very challenging road.

6:47:37 > 6:47:40You've got a big wall on one side and the rock face on the other,

6:47:40 > 6:47:42so there's no margin for error here.

6:47:42 > 6:47:44Watch the curve on the left here, do you see it?

6:47:44 > 6:47:46You'll get corners that tighten up

6:47:46 > 6:47:49and lead into another corner immediately.

6:47:49 > 6:47:52Oh! Don't nail the throttle till you come out the corner.

6:47:52 > 6:47:54It's all about correct lines

6:47:54 > 6:47:57and taking the corners at the correct speed.

6:47:57 > 6:48:01- Brake, brake, brake!- Yeah, you've set them a fair challenge.

6:48:02 > 6:48:05Brake, fifth gear, quickly, come on, brake, fourth gear,

6:48:05 > 6:48:08go on, power, power!

6:48:12 > 6:48:13One lap each done,

6:48:13 > 6:48:17I'm lagging behind Lindsey by a whole four seconds.

6:48:17 > 6:48:20I'm hoping I can get back in the game

6:48:20 > 6:48:25when we take on our second and final lap. The race is on.

6:48:25 > 6:48:28Right, this will be your final run then, Radzi.

6:48:31 > 6:48:34Two, one, go.

6:48:34 > 6:48:35Second gear, go.

6:48:40 > 6:48:41Fourth gear.

6:48:43 > 6:48:46Down to third. Quickly, come on, brakes, brakes!

6:48:49 > 6:48:51Brake, brake!

6:48:51 > 6:48:54Get off the brake, get off the brakes now!

6:48:57 > 6:48:59Dear oh, dear. That was all right, wasn't it?

6:49:03 > 6:49:06I gave everything I had there and with a time of two minutes

6:49:06 > 6:49:11and 18 seconds, I've racked up the fastest lap so far.

6:49:11 > 6:49:14Fair play, Radzi, you've upped your game

6:49:14 > 6:49:16but I'm not giving up without a fight.

6:49:16 > 6:49:18Go, go, go, second gear!

6:49:18 > 6:49:21Flat, flat. Third gear. Flat.

6:49:21 > 6:49:23Go on, go on. Power, power, flat, flat.

6:49:25 > 6:49:28Fifth gear. Flat. Watch the curb on the left. Brake.

6:49:30 > 6:49:33Careful! Brake. Down to third.

6:49:35 > 6:49:37Brake, brake, brake, it tightens!

6:49:39 > 6:49:42Go on, go on. That'll do, that'll do. Well done.

6:49:42 > 6:49:44Woo!

6:49:44 > 6:49:49That felt good, and Brian only seems slightly concerned by my driving.

6:49:49 > 6:49:50But was it enough?

6:49:50 > 6:49:56With a time of 2 minutes 17.94,

6:49:56 > 6:49:57the winner is...

6:49:57 > 6:49:59- Lindsey!- Yeah!

6:50:01 > 6:50:02I've done it.

6:50:02 > 6:50:06Not the biggest of margins, less than a second, but a win is a win.

6:50:08 > 6:50:11- Basically, she did you, mate, sorry.- Yeah!

6:50:11 > 6:50:14CHEERING

6:50:15 > 6:50:18I love that. He's like, "Brake, brake, brake!"

6:50:18 > 6:50:20I forgot how funny Brian was.

6:50:20 > 6:50:24- He is a scary man as well.- At least it's very chilled out today.

6:50:24 > 6:50:25We're on the beach, the sun is out.

6:50:25 > 6:50:28Don't get too comfortable because it's now time for round number two

6:50:28 > 6:50:31of the Blue Peter Beach Games.

6:50:31 > 6:50:32CHEERING

6:50:32 > 6:50:35Yes.

6:50:35 > 6:50:36I've got flippers on.

6:50:36 > 6:50:39Yes, you do, which is why you need to go and get yourselves ready.

6:50:39 > 6:50:42Lindsey, Barney, do that and I'll explain to the viewers exactly

6:50:42 > 6:50:44how this game is going to work.

6:50:44 > 6:50:48As you can see, they are wearing flippers, that's going to make this

6:50:48 > 6:50:49relay race very difficult indeed.

6:50:49 > 6:50:52They will take... Normally you take a baton

6:50:52 > 6:50:54but they're going to have an ice cream. If it falls off,

6:50:54 > 6:50:57they need to pick it back up to complete this relay.

6:50:57 > 6:51:00Four laps, Lindsey and Barney will start,

6:51:00 > 6:51:01Lindsey and Barney will finish.

6:51:01 > 6:51:04They'll have to go, you can see them going already.

6:51:04 > 6:51:06They will start by going over this hoop there.

6:51:06 > 6:51:09They will then have to limbo underneath the bar here, like so.

6:51:09 > 6:51:11I want to see good limbo technique.

6:51:11 > 6:51:13I'm going to be critiquing them if they don't.

6:51:13 > 6:51:15They will then pass the ice cream across

6:51:15 > 6:51:18and their team-mate will then run and complete it.

6:51:18 > 6:51:20As things stand, Barney is 1-0 up.

6:51:20 > 6:51:23Everything to play for for Lindsey, a little bit of pressure.

6:51:23 > 6:51:27It's now time for a countdown. Three, two, one.

6:51:27 > 6:51:28Go!

6:51:28 > 6:51:32And he's off straightaway. Barney's off to an absolute flyer.

6:51:32 > 6:51:34I can't believe this.

6:51:34 > 6:51:36Oh, my goodness, look at that shocking fall from

6:51:36 > 6:51:39Barney Harwood, I'm not enjoying this limbo technique at all.

6:51:39 > 6:51:41The ice cream is still intact, oh,

6:51:41 > 6:51:44the ice cream's down early doors. It is back up, very well done.

6:51:44 > 6:51:45Limbo required.

6:51:45 > 6:51:48There are questionable limbo techniques used here.

6:51:48 > 6:51:50The flippers making it difficult

6:51:50 > 6:51:52but Lindsey's team has made it level.

6:51:52 > 6:51:55Neck and neck, Team Lindsey and Team Barney,

6:51:55 > 6:51:56as they reach the halfway point.

6:51:56 > 6:51:59A little bit of a stutter on the hula hoop there.

6:51:59 > 6:52:01But Lindsey is now taking the lead.

6:52:01 > 6:52:05Off they go, look at the care taken here as the hula hoop goes

6:52:05 > 6:52:07over the head for Lindsey, but the ice cream has gone down.

6:52:07 > 6:52:09Keep on going, keep on going.

6:52:09 > 6:52:12Lindsey's team streaking off to a lead here.

6:52:12 > 6:52:16Barney's team are well behind. And Barney's taken Lindsey down!

6:52:16 > 6:52:18He's gone for the classic Harwood tackle!

6:52:18 > 6:52:21A lot of underhand tactics going on here!

6:52:21 > 6:52:23HE LAUGHS

6:52:25 > 6:52:26It's classic Harwood!

6:52:26 > 6:52:28CHEERING

6:52:28 > 6:52:31Oh, my goodness gracious!

6:52:31 > 6:52:35- Shocking! Stop right there. Stop... OK.- That was cheating.

6:52:35 > 6:52:39- Thank you so much. - Come round, please.

6:52:39 > 6:52:42Lindsey, I'll give you a hand up. Get yourself onto your flippers.

6:52:42 > 6:52:47That was 24% funny, that was. It was amazing.

6:52:47 > 6:52:49Team Barney were first across the line.

6:52:49 > 6:52:52- That was cheating.- Sadly, Team Barney were first across the line

6:52:52 > 6:52:54- but with disgusting behaviour. - What?!

6:52:54 > 6:52:58So the recipient of one point and winner of round number two is Team Lindsey!

6:52:58 > 6:53:00CHEERING

6:53:00 > 6:53:02- Yes!- Yes!

6:53:02 > 6:53:05Now, Lindsey, pretend you're not out of breath.

6:53:05 > 6:53:06I will do that.

6:53:06 > 6:53:09What we took on there was not the most serious sporting challenge

6:53:09 > 6:53:13- we've ever done on Blue Peter. - There are no flippers in the Commonwealth Games!

6:53:13 > 6:53:16Not many! But we hope it has inspired you to get out

6:53:16 > 6:53:18and about and get active this summer.

6:53:31 > 6:53:35the 2013 sport badge, you can still apply for this one, the new design.

6:53:35 > 6:53:38- I love it.- You need to watch a film to find out all about

6:53:38 > 6:53:41designing and earning your own - not designing, just earning your own.

6:53:41 > 6:53:45This is a remote control Ready? It doesn't quite work, does it? Run it!

6:53:50 > 6:53:54My name is Sophie and I inspired Katie to take up pole vaulting

6:53:54 > 6:53:55for my Blue Peter sport badge.

6:53:58 > 6:54:00My dad inspired me to pole vault

6:54:00 > 6:54:04because I found out that he won a Commonwealth gold medal in Edinburgh.

6:54:05 > 6:54:08People should inspire a friend to take up a sport

6:54:08 > 6:54:12because it is active and they learn something new.

6:54:13 > 6:54:16And that's how I earned my sport badge.
