:00:18. > :00:24.lips are hurting. You can find out how I got on with my brass band

:00:24. > :00:28.challenge. She's the star of Good Luck Charlie. Plus, we have an

:00:28. > :00:38.amazing juggler performing just for you and I will be showing you how to

:00:38. > :00:49.

:00:50. > :00:52.make your own juggling balls, that's APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

:00:52. > :00:59.Hey, thank you very much. Hi, how are you? You are watching Blue

:00:59. > :01:01.Peter. I am Barney. I am on my onesie. Helen is back next week,

:01:02. > :01:05.make sure you are watching then. It's a live show, anything can

:01:05. > :01:08.happen. You might be on your half-term but if you are back at

:01:09. > :01:15.school don't worry I can put a smile on your faces with what's happening

:01:15. > :01:21.in the next half houring. Lots of things to get involved with and keep

:01:21. > :01:30.your eyes glued to the telly boxes, like this guy from the Moscow State

:01:30. > :01:34.Circus. He is a juggler and will be showing you how you can juggle. When

:01:34. > :01:42.he was eight years old his mum took him to his first circus and he knew

:01:42. > :01:44.he wanted to be a juggler and look at him now living the dream. It got

:01:44. > :01:52.us thinking what do you want to be when you are older? I wanted to be a

:01:52. > :01:56.fighter jet pilot so I could take my brother for a spin and eject him out

:01:56. > :01:58.the back. What about Katie from the office, she was England at English

:01:58. > :02:04.and wanted to be a writer. She liked the idea of writing store stories

:02:04. > :02:10.like her heros. What about Louise from One Direction. He wanted to be

:02:10. > :02:13.a drama teacher. Get in touch and let us know what you would like to

:02:14. > :02:16.be and why. I will try and read out as many of

:02:16. > :02:20.your e-mails later in the show. The one thing I never thought I would

:02:20. > :02:23.grow up to be would be a trombonist in a marching band but I was given a

:02:23. > :02:27.challenge to do just that. Last Friday was the competition and

:02:27. > :02:34.that's not really where the story began or ended. There were a few

:02:34. > :02:35.surprises in store for me. Have a look.

:02:35. > :02:45.You are in a competition on 24th May and you have to learn how to play

:02:45. > :02:51.

:02:51. > :02:56.the trombone by then. He had general unly no idea. Great, my playing is

:02:56. > :03:01.already upsetting animals. So it's a great relief to start my first

:03:01. > :03:03.lesson on set with teacher Debbie. Very good. That was close! I am a

:03:03. > :03:06.natural! But just when I think it's all going well... Oh! Don't let go

:03:06. > :03:16.of that. Debbie explains before you make beautiful sounds on a trombone,

:03:16. > :03:33.

:03:33. > :03:43.you have to first make a lot of as you are making the right sound,

:03:43. > :03:54.

:03:54. > :04:04.to the music I will be playing with the band. This does not sound

:04:04. > :04:13.

:04:13. > :04:16.simple. Can I record you playing three years, but he will get there

:04:16. > :04:19.We have spent about 40 minutes together. Do you honestly think from

:04:19. > :04:27.what you have heard that I am going to be able to play that in three

:04:27. > :04:35.weeks? Yes.Let's get practising. Yeah. I love music and I love a

:04:35. > :04:38.challenge. But three weeks? ! They say practise makes perfect.

:04:38. > :04:41.Actually who did say that? I would like to have a word with them

:04:41. > :04:47.because my lips are wrecking, I have been practising as much as I can. At

:04:47. > :04:50.least I am not doing this challenge on my own. I am in a quiet and

:04:50. > :04:55.peaceful village in North Wales. But not for long. I am here at the

:04:55. > :04:58.headquarters of the silver band who have been here since 1894. That's a

:04:58. > :05:02.long time. They've won a lot of trophies in these competitions.

:05:02. > :05:06.Yeah, they're in the Premier League. They're letting someone like me

:05:06. > :05:16.who's been learning for two-and-a-half weeks join the junior

:05:16. > :05:30.

:05:30. > :05:35.section of their band. What could I thought it would be. But then the

:05:35. > :05:38.band take it up a level. Apparently, I have to play and march at the same

:05:38. > :05:41.time. This is the first time I have ever marched whilst playing a

:05:41. > :05:47.trombone. These are sentences you don't think you are ever going to

:05:47. > :05:52.say in your life. So, yeah, stand back. Let's see what happens. The

:05:52. > :06:00.most important thing is to start marching with my left foot. Yeah,

:06:00. > :06:09.that's left foot, Barney! Are your lips getting tired now? Yeah. I am

:06:09. > :06:17.licking them. How does that help? Don't know. Good.

:06:17. > :06:24.You stop on the last one. There's a couple of bits I am struggling with

:06:24. > :06:29.musically. You can only go so long before your lips physically give up.

:06:29. > :06:34.I couldn't even kiss a fish right now. I have never kissed a fish by

:06:34. > :06:38.the way. Just seeing... Didn't think so! I have just come in from

:06:38. > :06:41.marching outside and playing the trombone statement. I have been told

:06:41. > :06:51.the senior band have got a surprise for me, I have no idea what it is.

:06:51. > :07:13.

:07:13. > :07:17.Thank you very much. That's awesome. With that incredible music, the day

:07:17. > :07:20.of the contest arrives. I realise that I am part of something really

:07:20. > :07:25.special. Bands come from all over the world to perform in these

:07:25. > :07:31.villages and have done for well over 100 years. The idea is to play in as

:07:31. > :07:40.many villages as you can in one day. Are you sitting comfortably? Here

:07:40. > :07:46.goes! I was sent a challenge in Blue Peter style to learn to play the

:07:46. > :07:53.trombone in three weeks. Oh, right! We are getting ready to walk down

:07:53. > :08:03.the hill and I don't know which way we are going. And I am leading!

:08:03. > :08:04.

:08:04. > :08:09.Around the bend to the right and in a straight line? Excellent. When we

:08:09. > :08:13.get to the bottom are we going around the corner? Don't ask me, we

:08:13. > :08:17.are only in the front row. that's not the open thing that's

:08:17. > :08:22.worrying me. -- only thing that's worrying me. I am out of my comfort

:08:22. > :08:28.zone. You can do anything if you put your mind to it but an instrument is

:08:28. > :08:33.different. This is the big moment. Three weeks of practise have been

:08:33. > :08:43.leading up to this and our microphones are pointing mainly at

:08:43. > :08:51.

:08:51. > :08:55.my trombone, so if I play a bum note APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

:08:55. > :09:05.I think I made a few mistakes, but there's no time to dwell. I am back

:09:05. > :09:09.

:09:09. > :09:19.weeks, it's a cracking job. A few notes now and again, but excellent

:09:19. > :09:45.

:09:45. > :09:50.It's been amazing. OK. One of those Blue Peter surprises. Let's have a

:09:50. > :09:53.look. A message from Helen by the looks of it. Well done, Barney. I am

:09:53. > :09:57.so proud of you, I know you were nervous and you thought you needed

:09:57. > :10:00.more time but you have done amazingly well. Hats off to you. I

:10:00. > :10:07.have some news, this isn't the end of the road. This is just the

:10:07. > :10:11.beginning. We have secured a place for you in the BBC National

:10:11. > :10:15.Orchestra of Wales. You are going to be performing at the Proms at the

:10:15. > :10:21.Royal Albert Hall, that's absolutely massive. It is one of the biggest

:10:21. > :10:24.concerts in the world. Hopefully you enjoy it. It's pretty special. It's

:10:24. > :10:28.a Doctor Who Prom. Unlike the doctor, you can't time travel and

:10:28. > :10:34.you need to learn your part in seven weeks. It's going to be tough but it

:10:34. > :10:38.is going to be worth it. Good luck, buddy. Hope you enjoy it. I better

:10:38. > :10:43.get practising then! Just in case you were ever wondering what my real

:10:43. > :10:48.shock face looks like, that was it. Let's confirm that. That's the BBC

:10:48. > :10:53.Proms, Dr Who inspired, playing a trombone in front of 5,000 people in

:10:53. > :10:57.the Royal Albert Hall, in six weeks. It's fair to say the chal has

:10:57. > :11:05.officially become -- the challenge has officially become supersized.

:11:05. > :11:06.Can I please say thank you to the youth band who were fantastic and

:11:06. > :11:10.showed me the way. I even got a present. The girls gave me a teddy

:11:10. > :11:14.bear, he is called Ted, imaginative name as you can see. I want to say

:11:14. > :11:18.thank you to everybody who turned up. Nothing that mraks you play

:11:18. > :11:21.better - that makes you play better than a crowd cheering you on. It was

:11:21. > :11:24.an amazing day, thank you so much and thank you for your messages of

:11:24. > :11:31.support. It's nice to hear from you and it really does spur us on and

:11:31. > :11:38.make us want to do better. This week has been no exception. 1,415 letters

:11:38. > :11:45.or e-mails through the post boxes telling us how creative and lovely

:11:45. > :11:52.you are. Here is Mia, growing her own herb garden. She has mint,

:11:52. > :11:57.fennel, and Rosemary. And neglecten and Hannah are -- Megan and Hannah

:11:57. > :12:00.are growing vegetables. Potatoes, carrots, cucumbers and courgettes,

:12:00. > :12:09.this is inspired by our grow it, cook it, eat it thing we are doing.

:12:09. > :12:13.Those are our herbs over there. It's an even competition between me

:12:13. > :12:18.and Helen. Everyone's been inspired by that and in two weeks we will be

:12:18. > :12:25.showing you what you can do with the herbs. It's creation all over the

:12:25. > :12:35.place. Amelie has done tinfoil art. She's using it as a reflectior to

:12:35. > :12:37.

:12:37. > :12:47.uplight her cheekphonebones -- cheekbones. And will Fred on the

:12:47. > :12:55.end. We receive loads of things in the post that are different. This

:12:55. > :12:58.here, this technique is called papier Mache. Mia and Oscar have

:12:58. > :13:05.designed these brilliant planes, we did a challenge a while ago which

:13:05. > :13:11.was to wing-walk. I am lying down, I have already had enough of this

:13:11. > :13:16.challenge. We love the stuff you send us, accepted us more, leads --

:13:16. > :13:22.please. Head to the website. One person who got in touch recently was

:13:22. > :13:25.Thomas, he sent us this. This is his shark beenbag. Everybody in the

:13:25. > :13:29.office loved this and was playing with it. In doing so kind of

:13:29. > :13:36.inspired a sort of a double make, if you like. We have a circus theme

:13:36. > :13:39.happening today. We have the guys here from the circus school. Were

:13:39. > :13:45.there not supposed to be three of you? There was a third member of the

:13:45. > :13:48.team. Where is Will? There he is, look at him! Come over here and I

:13:48. > :13:52.will talk you through what this is, this is what we are going to be

:13:52. > :13:55.making. We thought with a circus theme we are going to show you how

:13:55. > :13:58.to make your own juggling balls. All the information is on the website.

:13:59. > :14:03.Head there and you will find it. It gives you a list of materials you

:14:03. > :14:07.need and how to do it. But it's very simple. So we think that felt is a

:14:07. > :14:12.really good material because it's great for bags and it's dead light.

:14:12. > :14:17.Start off by taking out your template that you can print and

:14:17. > :14:21.place that on top of your A4 sheet of felt and cut it out. That's all

:14:21. > :14:26.you need to start and that will leave you with these cross pieces of

:14:26. > :14:31.felt. There is one for you, and one for you, Will. Lovely. The idea is

:14:31. > :14:35.to make them into a box and to do that simply all you do is take the

:14:35. > :14:38.bottom shortest part of the box, fold it up and do the same with the

:14:38. > :14:43.other side and bring the corners together. The best way we found to

:14:43. > :14:49.hold them together is to stitch them. Needles over there, boys?

:14:49. > :14:54.There is yours. Start at the bottom corner. Do you do much sewing at

:14:54. > :14:57.home? I can't sew to save my life. This is nice and easy. Sometimes you

:14:57. > :15:02.get boys who say I am not sewing, that's a girls' thing. That's not

:15:02. > :15:06.the case. Anybody can sew. Especially when you are doing

:15:06. > :15:10.something creative like this. Go to the corner at the bottom and push it

:15:10. > :15:14.upwards. Watch out for your fingers. The great thing about Blue Peter is

:15:14. > :15:18.you have that famous phrase and you say, here is one somebody else made

:15:18. > :15:22.earlier. Watch your fingers and up to the top corner. You have gone the

:15:22. > :15:32.other way but it doesn't matter, it will still work. Let me save you

:15:32. > :15:36.

:15:36. > :15:40.some time. That's what it will look the rice will go everywhere. The

:15:40. > :15:43.best thing about Blue Peter, I think, is when you get to be

:15:43. > :15:48.creative and here you can design your own juggling ball. You can

:15:48. > :15:54.stick buttons on if you want or get these eyes you can buy from art

:15:54. > :15:56.shops, they're really good. You can do an animal or person, there's no

:15:56. > :16:03.particular rule here. Use your imaginations. Let's decorate our

:16:03. > :16:07.stuff. What are you going for? Will, how about you? There's buttons

:16:07. > :16:15.in there. You can use glitter. You know what to do, you have been

:16:15. > :16:23.creative before. I am going to do a Helen. I miss her. Helen has got

:16:23. > :16:29.massive eyes. I can't get the glue on. Use that one, it's good to go.

:16:29. > :16:34.Here I need lips that are really bossy. And long eyelashes, I know

:16:34. > :16:39.Helen is watching, this is why I am doing this. A button on the knows.

:16:39. > :16:44.Once you have decorated the box, take the rice on the table and this

:16:44. > :16:50.is the bit I like, handfuls of rice and fill about three-quarters full.

:16:50. > :16:54.Have some, just like that. No, don't, I will get told off!

:16:54. > :17:01.Three-quarters full and to seal it, the same stitching around the top

:17:01. > :17:06.and you finish up with a beautifully decorated juggling ball like this.

:17:06. > :17:11.If you make one, accepted us a picture. Now that we have made our

:17:11. > :17:15.juggling balls we need to know how to juggle with them. Earlier we met

:17:15. > :17:19.Zhora and he showed us what he is really made of. When we heard there

:17:19. > :17:29.was a genius touring the UK we knew that you would want to see him. Why?

:17:29. > :17:29.

:17:29. > :18:35.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 65 seconds

:18:35. > :18:40.Well he is not just a juggler, watch Zhora, nice to meet you. Thank you

:18:40. > :18:44.for coming in. You perform in the Moscow State Sirups, when did you

:18:44. > :18:50.start to juggle with footballs? started young, little balls, up

:18:50. > :18:54.with, two, three, four and five balls. Then after a one year in

:18:54. > :18:59.circus school I started juggling with footballs. Three, four, five.

:18:59. > :19:03.Now in practice seven balls. It's still a lot of training, the time, a

:19:03. > :19:08.year, it's a long time to be learning. We have some juggling

:19:08. > :19:17.balls behind you. For people who want to learn can you show them?

:19:17. > :19:23.start with one ball. OK.One, two, three. We can try this moment, 100

:19:23. > :19:31.times only 100 times in one day, one ball to get used to it. Two balls

:19:31. > :19:41.the same. YeahThen three the same. All the same, one ball a hundred

:19:41. > :19:50.times next day two. These two are just in one hand. That's very

:19:50. > :19:55.Before you go any higher we have somebody here who's been learning to

:19:55. > :19:59.juggle. Tommy can juggle with seven balls. Step forward, Tommy. We would

:19:59. > :20:09.love to see what you can do. How long have you been juggling for?

:20:09. > :20:11.

:20:11. > :20:21.About two years. It's all yours, APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

:20:21. > :20:24.

:20:24. > :20:25.Well done. Amazing. Thank you. Now Zhora you were taken to the circus

:20:25. > :20:27.when you were eight. Morgan is seven. Hi, Morgan. How long have you

:20:27. > :20:34.been juggling for? A year. You are going to juggle with scarfs for us.

:20:34. > :20:37.The floor is yours. You have an audience. Go for it.

:20:37. > :20:40.APPLAUSE AND CHEERING Beautiful. Well done, Morgan. Do you

:20:40. > :20:49.only juggle with footballs or can you juggle with more unusual

:20:49. > :20:53.objects? I can juggle anything, cards, fruits, kebabs. A meaty

:20:53. > :20:59.performance! Obviously you do this on a big football. That involves a

:20:59. > :21:06.little bit of risk, have you ever fallen off? Yes, I fall off every

:21:06. > :21:10.day. Now you can see never fall. It's all about perseverance and

:21:10. > :21:14.practise. A huge round of applause for Zhora, thank you for coming in

:21:14. > :21:17.and thank you to Morgan and Tommy. If you would like to juggle head to

:21:17. > :21:20.the website and you will find more details or if you want to watch the

:21:20. > :21:24.iPlayer tomorrow you can watch this again and do learning. Good luck.

:21:24. > :21:28.Thank you very much. Amazing. She may be used to saying good luck

:21:28. > :21:38.Charlie but when it comes to her career I don't think she needs luck,

:21:38. > :21:43.

:21:43. > :21:48.she is a rising star called Brigit and I went to see a performance. Her

:21:48. > :21:56.last single reached the UK top ten and attracted over 30 million views

:21:56. > :21:59.on YouTube. It's her role in Good Luck Charlie that she's most famous

:21:59. > :22:04.for, creating a video diary about her family and life as a teenager

:22:04. > :22:14.for her new sister, Charlie. Here to perform her brand new single

:22:14. > :22:19.

:22:19. > :22:25.# Think the clouds are clogging up my brain like the weather

:22:25. > :22:34.# Tears on my face # I guess I will be all right.

:22:34. > :22:40.# Oh, oh, # Then it hits me like oh, oh, no

:22:40. > :22:50.# That wind that swept me off my feet got me flying until I am crying

:22:50. > :22:53.

:22:53. > :22:58.and down on my knees # There's no place like home

:22:58. > :23:03.# Home, and I am boarding up the win does

:23:03. > :23:11.# It's like every time the wind blows I feel it tearing up

:23:11. > :23:15.# Every time he smiles # Everything is fine when you are

:23:15. > :23:19.standing in the eye of the hurricane # Here comes the sun

:23:19. > :23:23.# Here comes the rain # Standing in the eye of the

:23:23. > :23:33.hurricane # Here comes the sun, here comes the

:23:33. > :23:49.

:23:49. > :23:52.rain # Standing in the eye of the

:23:52. > :23:59.hurricane # We made it through the storm

:23:59. > :24:06.# I am still on the lookout # Oh, oh,

:24:06. > :24:07.# Cold, cold # And now I am boarding up the

:24:07. > :24:11.windows # Look Looking out

:24:11. > :24:20.# Every time the wind blows I feel it tearing us apart

:24:20. > :24:29.# Every time he smiles # Everything is fine when you are

:24:29. > :24:29.standing in the eye of the hurricane # Here comes the sun, here comes the

:24:29. > :24:31.rain # Here comes the sun, here comes the

:24:31. > :24:35.rain # Standing in the eye of the

:24:35. > :24:38.hurricane # He picks me up, he's got the way

:24:38. > :24:43.of the hurricane # I think I am fine

:24:43. > :24:48.# I am in the eye of the hurricane # He picks me up

:24:48. > :24:52.# Like he's got the way of the hurricane

:24:52. > :25:00.# I think I am fine # In the eye of the hurricane

:25:00. > :25:05.# I am floating, floating # I don't know

:25:05. > :25:08.# He's got the way, he's got the way # Boarding up the windows
