:00:08. > :00:16.Hi. Guess what. It's Radzi Chinyanganya's first show. Yes, it
:00:17. > :00:20.is. I couldn't be much more excited. Today you're going to find out how
:00:21. > :00:24.we did when we did battle in the Stone Skimming World Championship.
:00:25. > :00:28.And we launch the Blue Peter campaign for Children In Need. See
:00:29. > :00:48.how you can get involved. And Barney's Big Bike Challenge - it's
:00:49. > :00:49.all to come on today's Blue Peter. Er.
:00:50. > :00:56.APPLAUSE Hello. A lovely welcome. Bonjour.
:00:57. > :00:59.That was French. It's live. It's Blue Peter, and it's Radzi's first
:01:00. > :01:02.show. APPLAUSE
:01:03. > :01:07.Thank you. Welcome to the team. Thank you. How does it feel? I'm
:01:08. > :01:11.just a teensy-weensy bit excited. I bet you are and I bet you guys are
:01:12. > :01:15.at home. If you want to know anything about him, send your
:01:16. > :01:21.questions to him. Like what kind of sausage does he like? Cumberland or
:01:22. > :01:26.pork and apple? Weird. Is that really hair or
:01:27. > :01:29.pork and apple? Weird. Is that Hoover fluff on your head? People
:01:30. > :01:33.ask it! If you want to ask anything, head to the website.
:01:34. > :01:39.As soon as the show is over, I'll be doing a live web chat and I'm going
:01:40. > :01:43.to try to answer as many questions as humanly possible in 30 seconds.
:01:44. > :01:47.We got to know each other quite well, didn't we? We did. One of the
:01:48. > :01:51.things you should know about me is I love a challenge. Here is how we got
:01:52. > :01:54.on. Welcome to your first film on Blue Peter. You know about the
:01:55. > :01:58.show's history. You know it's an incredible chance to be. You know it
:01:59. > :02:05.gives you a chance to do incredible things. Yeah, you can do massive
:02:06. > :02:11.challenges, meet people you wouldn't do so today... Brought you to the
:02:12. > :02:15.Outer Hebrides and enrolled you in a World Championship sport. World
:02:16. > 1:14:52Championships? What is it, rugby, athletics? Stone skimming. That s
1:14:53 > 1:14:52right. We're at athletics? Stone skimming. That s
1:14:53 > 1:14:52World Championship, which takes place once a year on the tiny
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Easedale island. Competitors travel from all over the world to take part
1:14:53 > 1:14:52in this fun, fendly competition So we're here to take part, and who
1:14:53 > 1:14:52knows - maybe one of us could become a world champion. I'll be honest - I
1:14:53 > 1:14:52know nothing about stone skimming. But look where we are, we're in the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52centre of the stone skimming world - there are stones. There is water,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52perfect conditions for the Stone Skimming World Championship. It s
1:14:53 > 1:14:52true. I think if we stand a chance, we should go split up. Let's do it.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I am off to find the best stone to skim with an expert stone skimmer.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Nine-year-old John is going to show me how to find the perfect stone.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52It's got to fit around your finger. OK. So it's got to fit around your
1:14:53 > 1:14:52finger. Each stone used in the competition
1:14:53 > 1:14:52must be no bigger than three inches in diameter. Try not to get one too
1:14:53 > 1:14:52light or two heavy. OK. If it's too heavy, it's just going to plonk into
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the water, isn't it, really? Right. So we've got a perfect stone. Radzi,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52what are we going to do with it That's the stone, but how would you
1:14:53 > 1:14:52throw it? My skimming expert is John's older brother, Allen. Could
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you give me some advice about how to throw these bad boys? Take them in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52your hand and release. Release. OK. Right, then, Radzi - get low, aim
1:14:53 > 1:14:52far and release. I think I'm going to need some more practise. Yes
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you, are mate. While you do that, I'm going to check out the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52competition. People from all over the world travel to take part, but
1:14:53 > 1:14:52nobody has travelled further than Japanese TV star Festival Man. You
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can get a really good distance on this competition, so this arm - very
1:14:53 > 1:14:52strong? OK. Any tips on what to do? Best of luck.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52A couple more practise throws, and it's competition time. Everyone gets
1:14:53 > 1:14:52three throws each, and it has to skim at least three times. The
1:14:53 > 1:14:52further you throw, the better because it's all about distance
1:14:53 > 1:14:52That's got to be it? Two, three APPLAUSE
1:14:53 > 1:14:52So it's Team Blue Peter - first up is Lindsay. Good luck. First throw -
1:14:53 > 1:14:52not bad. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
1:14:53 > 1:14:52And again - here we go. I think I'm getting the hang of this.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52APPLAUSE OK. Two down. Yes! Save my best till
1:14:53 > 1:14:52last. Not bad - I didn't fail.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52So my best throw was 19 metres, but could the boys do any better? Next
1:14:53 > 1:14:52up it's Barney. It's a big pressure gig, isn't it?
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Quite a lot We can get further than that. Oh,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52that was a good one! APPLAUSE
1:14:53 > 1:14:52that was a good one! OK. This is it.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Further! Yes, yes, yes - oh, it s a monster!
1:14:53 > 1:14:52APPLAUSE That'll do. That looked quite far.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52That was good. Yes, rescued it on his last throw - 30 metres - I am
1:14:53 > 1:14:52well chuffed. Now it's my turn. Boom! Take a look at that. I know we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can go further. Come on. Oh! This is the one! Let's hear it.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52APPLAUSE No, no, no, no - oh, that was bad.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52That was bad! I also got 30 metres, so it's a draw between me and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Barney. OK. So none of us won the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52competition. The winning distance was a massive 65 metres, but we re
1:14:53 > 1:14:52proud of what we achieved, and most of all, we had a great time. Yes, we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52had a great time watching Lindsay lose like a big loser. I got 19
1:14:53 > 1:14:52metres. Very good. A round of applause, everybody, for 19 metres,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52amazing! Stop it. But for now, five big ones, straight up top. I want to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52thank you. You helped me in my best Blue Peter adventure. You're
1:14:53 > 1:14:52welcome. They made us do it. And your lovely posts from home.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Straight away one of me by Clarice. She's ten. Look how life-like it is,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52and the hair especially - loads of attention to detail there. This next
1:14:53 > 1:14:52one is from Eric. There's story behind this. This was from my very
1:14:53 > 1:14:52first day on Blue Peter. I was in the office. He saw me and asked for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52a photo. That was my very the office. He saw me and asked for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Blue Peter garden and a ledge epped in the studio last week, the man
1:14:53 > 1:14:52that is Steve Backshall showed us how to make hedgehog poxes - look -
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I bet she gets anything she wants with that face!
1:14:53 > 1:14:52This is a hedgehog house. They're really tired because they have been
1:14:53 > 1:14:52playing their own little FA Cup down there. It's brilliant. This hedgehog
1:14:53 > 1:14:52home is so come flaudgeed you can hardly see it. It's actually a
1:14:53 > 1:14:52hedge-house, the whole Huj with just a house. Thank you for getting in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52touch. Next week we'd like to see this badge wall entirely covered in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52spots. Here's why. For the next few weeks we're asking you to get in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52home and get spotted for Children In Need. True that. Stop saying that! I
1:14:53 > 1:14:52am trying to be really straight .. Not working. You can get involved
1:14:53 > 1:14:52any way you like, but we're going to be giving you suggestions over the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52next few weeks. When you do get in touch we'll put a big spot on the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52map to show where you are. Over the next few weeks there is
1:14:53 > 1:14:52something called Spectacular Spot Show. It's a light show happening
1:14:53 > 1:14:52here in Media City in four weeks' time. We need your help. It's going
1:14:53 > 1:14:52to be amazing. This year we're going to ask you not only to fund raise
1:14:53 > 1:14:52but to do these, to decorate your very own spot. This is yours. This
1:14:53 > 1:14:52is yours. I went for a nice, colourful, bright, bold hand there
1:14:53 > 1:14:52because my hand can fit in the circle and wrote "spotted." Very
1:14:53 > 1:14:52nice. It's a theme, isn't it? I have done my bike in there and the notes
1:14:53 > 1:14:52for All You Need is Love because that's very true and some spots
1:14:53 > 1:14:52This is how I am raising money. I did one of Lindsay's eyes. How do I
1:14:53 > 1:14:52look tired? She's just gutted from the stones. Making fun of me
1:14:53 > 1:14:52already. When you're making your spot this is the minimum size, but
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you can make it as big as you like. We get thousands of letters every
1:14:53 > 1:14:52week and can't use We get thousands of letters every
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the light show but we'll use as many as we can. There are two ways to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52enter - one is to e-mail. Don't forget to scan them and send them to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52us or the good old-fashioned way through the post.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Get online and get spotted. That's exactly what we're going to be doing
1:14:53 > 1:14:52in the kitchen in a minute, but because it was Radzi's first ever
1:14:53 > 1:14:52bake, we thought he needed a hand. I'm at the Samworth Church Academy
1:14:53 > 1:14:52joining chels at the Balcony Restaurant - yes, a real restaurant
1:14:53 > 1:14:52in this school - run by these pupils. Hello, kitchen! I start my
1:14:53 > 1:14:52shift with head chef Alesha. You're only 14 and you're a head chef of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52your own restaurant. What's that like? It's quite scary, to be
1:14:53 > 1:14:52honest. You have a lot of pressure to make sure everything goes to plan
1:14:53 > 1:14:52and also time keeping. I'm going to let you into a little secret - I am
1:14:53 > 1:14:52not very good at cooking! Wish me luck. I'm going to need some skills
1:14:53 > 1:14:52in the kitchen for Blue Peter so I need to learn as much as I can
1:14:53 > 1:14:52today. Alesha has me started on dessert. A little bit lumpy. I knew
1:14:53 > 1:14:52this wasn't going to go too well. And I'm not the only one mucking up
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the mixing. What's happening, girls? I was making a cake and we got to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the ganache and it went really wrong. I know a good one when I see
1:14:53 > 1:14:52it, and that is a good one. What is a ganache? It turns out it is a
1:14:53 > 1:14:52glaze, icing, filling or sauce, just so you know.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52What? All good chefs taste their food!
1:14:53 > 1:14:52But with 12,500 hungry mouths to feed, you'd better get focussed and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52plating up the mains has been left in my - ahem - capable hands. I ll
1:14:53 > 1:14:52take that, thank you. in my - ahem - capable hands. I ll
1:14:53 > 1:14:52to serve this one. Done a fantastic job. It's nothing
1:14:53 > 1:14:52but positive feedback. In fact, I think you have done so well we're
1:14:53 > 1:14:52actually going to invite you to come back to the Blue Peter studio and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52help us with our Children In Need appeal. Are you guys up for that?
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Yeah. Is it a huge welcome to our guests. Thank you for coming in for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my first live bake. We're not the best pizza chefs in the world, but
1:14:53 > 1:14:52all the cooking instructions and everything you need are on the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52website. Check those out later. Indeed. We're going to be making one
1:14:53 > 1:14:52of these bad boys, which is a pizza with a spotty topping. It is. And
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you need to sell them to your friends and family and give all the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52donations you make to Blue Peter via the sponsorship page. The reason we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52brought these four expert chefs in, as well as looking pretty, it's
1:14:53 > 1:14:52exactly that. They're experts. First things first, have we washed our
1:14:53 > 1:14:52hands? Yes. Yes! Hygiene never takes a day off, my friends. Alesha, kick
1:14:53 > 1:14:52things off. We need a hundred grams of self-raising flour, a pinch of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52salt and then one tablespoon of sun flower oil - in there, and then use
1:14:53 > 1:14:5260 millilitres of water. 60 mill litres. Put that in there. You're
1:14:53 > 1:14:52not adding it all at once? No, because you can tell how much you
1:14:53 > 1:14:52need. Add a bit at a time. A bit at a time?
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Yeah. My granny once said you can add water but can't take it out She
1:14:53 > 1:14:52was a clever lady. You're a clever lady because you're head chef at
1:14:53 > 1:14:52your school. I am. You're adding the water for what reason? So it can all
1:14:53 > 1:14:52come together to make it smooth water for what reason? So it can all
1:14:53 > 1:14:52That's when you know it's ready The water for what reason? So it can all
1:14:53 > 1:14:52hands in and get it mucky? I'll give it a go now. Come on. You're a pro!
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Awesome. When it comes together it looks something like this. What s
1:14:53 > 1:14:52next, Dylan? We start to roll it all out. In case it starts to stick put
1:14:53 > 1:14:52a little bit of flour on the rolling pin. That's a top tip. Make it into
1:14:53 > 1:14:52a circle sheet. Quality. You can use the rolling pin, but I prefer to use
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my hands. Yes. There you go, sir. It's quite a
1:14:53 > 1:14:52compact pizza. If you wanted to make a bigger one, is it just a case of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52doubling the quantities? You could or you could stretch it out a little
1:14:53 > 1:14:52bit. Go for a thin base. That's my personal favourite so Charlotte
1:14:53 > 1:14:52it's over to you now. Once you have your base, you aught add the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52toppings. Add two to three tablespoons of tomato puree,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52although we're using pasta sauce. That's a good one to use because
1:14:53 > 1:14:52it's already got onion and herbs in there. It will add flavour to your
1:14:53 > 1:14:52pizza, then put on top lots of cheese. Is I love cheese. Get it all
1:14:53 > 1:14:52on. Don't put too much or else there will be places where there is pizza
1:14:53 > 1:14:52and no cheese. What have we got here in front of us? We've got some
1:14:53 > 1:14:52courgette, some pepper, some tomatoes and some sausage. A bit of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52everything, haven't we? And you don't only have to use circular
1:14:53 > 1:14:52ingredients. You can use others as well. You can use ham or we've got
1:14:53 > 1:14:52some peppers. Where's mine? There it is. We've got some biscuit cutters
1:14:53 > 1:14:52to make them circular. Shall we do that. If you want to put on some
1:14:53 > 1:14:52sausage and courgette - I can't cut mine. It got stuck. I'm just going
1:14:53 > 1:14:52to put the whole pepper on because I love pepper! We're going to put it
1:14:53 > 1:14:52all on. Then it needs to go into the oven for how long? 25 to 30 minutes,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52200 degrees. That's what it should look like. Nice.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52You're eating some? Save it for us. As soon as it's done, you can give
1:14:53 > 1:14:52it do your friends and family, but as much as we like to make, me and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my hair brother here, we also like eating. That's one way you can get
1:14:53 > 1:14:52involved with BBC's Children In Need. After the show, the three of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52us are going on a UK-wide pizza delivery tour. It's true. We're
1:14:53 > 1:14:52going to spread the word. If you're travelling tomorrow at 8. 40am to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52school, listen to the radio show. We are not doing this just because we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52like eating pizza. It's true. I like eating it a lot. That's not
1:14:53 > 1:14:52important. What's important is you get involved. Children In Need is an
1:14:53 > 1:14:52incredible charity that does incredible work for so many
1:14:53 > 1:14:52children. Here's just one reason they need your support. I love
1:14:53 > 1:14:52clothes, from tops to trainers. I'm a dedicated follower of fashion
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Whatever the occasion, I can always find an outfit - or three - to wear!
1:14:53 > 1:14:52But what if high street clothes were impossible to get on? You couldn't
1:14:53 > 1:14:52support your favourite football team by putting on one of their shirts
1:14:53 > 1:14:52and gettings reed in the morning took up to 45 minutes. That's
1:14:53 > 1:14:52reality for a lot of children living in the UK, but help is at hand from
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Dressability, a charity based in the south-west of England. What service
1:14:53 > 1:14:52does Dressability provide? What we do is help disabled people to be
1:14:53 > 1:14:52able to wear the clothes they really en enjoy wearing. Children In Need
1:14:53 > 1:14:52has given them money to help in the Swindon area. Children want to buy
1:14:53 > 1:14:52high street clothes and to fit in with their friends. Just because
1:14:53 > 1:14:52they're in a wheelchair, they still want to wear the same clothes.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52That's really important for self-esteem. One. People making this
1:14:53 > 1:14:52possible is Liza, who is going to show me how simple alterations can
1:14:53 > 1:14:52make a world of difference. Talk me through some of the changes you have
1:14:53 > 1:14:52make a world of difference. Talk me made to the clothes. Yes, this one,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52for instance, a T-shirt, a made to the clothes. Yes, this one,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52boy with broken arms - so we put in poppers. What about this? A school
1:14:53 > 1:14:52shirt for someone who has problems doing up buttons. Right. So from the
1:14:53 > 1:14:52front... It looks like anybody else's shirt. Can you tell what we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52have done with these? I honestly can't see anything. Great. That s
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the whole point. That's so good It's so subtle. You would have no
1:14:53 > 1:14:52idea they were any different to anyone else's. Absolutely so you
1:14:53 > 1:14:52look the same as anyone else. It's not just about fashion. The clothes
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Stresability alter really can change lives. Ben has spinal muscular
1:14:53 > 1:14:52atrophy which means the messages telling his muscles to move don t
1:14:53 > 1:14:52work properly. You can see my right arm moves a bit. I can control my
1:14:53 > 1:14:52chair with my left hand. Because he can't move around his hands and feet
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can get really cold which can lead to other problems. I get chest
1:14:53 > 1:14:52infections that they last for a week or two. Sometimes it gets really
1:14:53 > 1:14:52bad, and I have to go into a hospital. This is where Dressability
1:14:53 > 1:14:52comes in. They've helped Ben to stay warm with ingenious gloves with
1:14:53 > 1:14:52extra grip. It makes such a difference to have these gloves How
1:14:53 > 1:14:52have they changed your life? When it was snowy, I went out with my sister
1:14:53 > 1:14:52in the snow, watched her shredding for the first time. That was really
1:14:53 > 1:14:52cool. I like doing skids and stuff. So you can go out with your sister
1:14:53 > 1:14:52and have fun with your mates outside just because you have cosy gloves
1:14:53 > 1:14:52on. Something as small as a pair of fleecy gloves have made a big
1:14:53 > 1:14:52difference to Ben's life. Thanks to money raised, they can help children
1:14:53 > 1:14:52like him. They have come to Ben s school to find out from the children
1:14:53 > 1:14:52what they need from their clothes. When I have to get into track suits,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52what they need from their clothes. I have to point my toes down but I
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can't point them straight down. It can get you very frustrated. Yeah.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52What would be your ideal dress? It would be a zip that goes all the way
1:14:53 > 1:14:52down so it splits into two . That's so much easier than having to put it
1:14:53 > 1:14:52through your head and in through the arms. Yeah. Dressability aren't just
1:14:53 > 1:14:52changing clothes. They're helping to change children's lives.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Raising money for Children In Need means life will get better for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52children all over the UK and you can help make that happen, so get up.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Get involved, and get spotted for Children In Need. Dressability is so
1:14:53 > 1:14:52good. Thanks so much to Ben, Loren, Vinnie, Sean, the list goes on. They
1:14:53 > 1:14:52were all great. That list shows how important it is for you at home to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52get involved and get off the couch. It really does change lives. Over
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the next four weeks we'll show you more ways you can get involved.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Remember to tell us what you're doing when you're out and about
1:14:53 > 1:14:52because every time you get spotted doing fund-raising we're going to
1:14:53 > 1:14:52put a small coloured spot on to the map. Is that right? That is right.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52You're so lovely, such brilliant presenters. Now time for me to tell
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you about Barney's Big Bike challenge. Over the past few weeks
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you have been having a look what I have been doing. I have lost weight.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I have got fitter, and halfway through the challenge, there is a
1:14:53 > 1:14:52bit of a problem. It would appear the challenge could be over before
1:14:53 > 1:14:52it even starts. As with all sports, you get injuries
1:14:53 > 1:14:52sometimes. It would appear even in cycling you're not safe. I have hurt
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my knee. I have hurt it quite a lot. So now is the time to tell char I -
1:14:53 > 1:14:52because we only have a few weeks until the race - find out whether we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can train with it or cancel the whole thing. I hope it's the first
1:14:53 > 1:14:52one! Charlie, I've hurt my knee That doesn't sound good. How have
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you hurt your knee, Barney? I think by doing too much too soon. What we
1:14:53 > 1:14:52need to do is find out what's going on in the knee, find out if there is
1:14:53 > 1:14:52any damage been done, what you need to do to prevent that happening so
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I would like you to see a physio. I am getting a thorough check-over by
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Tim Deacon, a specialist sports physiotherapist. Tim knows all about
1:14:53 > 1:14:52how muscles and tendons work in the body and how to fix problems people
1:14:53 > 1:14:52might have with sprains, strains and hurting knees. It feels thickened.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52My knee is sore. If I'm in pain when I peddle I won't complete my
1:14:53 > 1:14:52challenge. Can you feel a twinge now? Yeah. It's manageable. That's
1:14:53 > 1:14:52absolutely fine, but I know in the next 25 miles... That'll be
1:14:53 > 1:14:52aggravated. My knee is damaged. We have to ensure it can cope with a
1:14:53 > 1:14:5265-mile ride. He's using a shock wave treatment that causes tiny
1:14:53 > 1:14:52injuries to my knee. But this stimulates my body into repairing
1:14:53 > 1:14:52itself. It feels quite strange. It's almost a lightly stinging feel.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Just to make sure there isn't anything more sinister going on in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my knee, I am getting it mag kneltically scanned so we can see
1:14:53 > 1:14:52right inside it. The MRI scan shows my knee is bruised and swollen, but
1:14:53 > 1:14:52there is no lasting damage, so I can still train for my challenge. It
1:14:53 > 1:14:52will just be that bit harder. I'm back at the Velodrome to catch
1:14:53 > 1:14:52up with double gold Olympic cycling champion Ed Clancy.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52OLD NEWSREEL: Ed Clancy wins the men's 400 metre individual pursuit.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I am hoping he can give me top tips for my challenge and how to overcome
1:14:53 > 1:14:52my problem knee. Within the timescale I've got, how
1:14:53 > 1:14:52doable is this challenge? Preparation is the key to success.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52It sounds like Preparation is the key to success.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52way. You have made Preparation is the key to success.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52since jous started this. It's Preparation is the key to success.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52realistically you can do it. I Preparation is the key to success.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you're carrying a little injury at the moment which won't help. Are
1:14:53 > 1:14:52there any tips you can give me about riding with an injury, knowing it is
1:14:53 > 1:14:52going to be painful and still have that energy to finish the race?
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Remove the emotion from it and think of the process.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52I'm sure you'll be fine. Do you have three tips you would give? It's not
1:14:53 > 1:14:52important to see the top of the staircase, just the first step. Keep
1:14:53 > 1:14:52taking it a step at a time. Fuel bars, even slip yourself a bit of
1:14:53 > 1:14:52cake in there. Make sure the tyres are inflated. The less mechanical
1:14:53 > 1:14:52problems you have en route, the better. I don't think I can go that
1:14:53 > 1:14:52-- I can go that long without, you know, having to do a number one or
1:14:53 > 1:14:52number two? You're out in the countryside. Number one is not that
1:14:53 > 1:14:52big a deal. Just find an appropriate place. Thank you so much. They're
1:14:53 > 1:14:52proper appropriate tips. I may be nursing an injury but it's
1:14:53 > 1:14:52not stopping me getting involved with bikes. The trabls turned and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52today I am the one doing the coaching at a British cycling Go
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Ride club. It's free wheeling from this bit to that built.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52It's good to be stood this side and seeing how the coaches' tips are
1:14:53 > 1:14:52taken onboard and applied to the riding.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Even though a sore need is hampering my training, just being around other
1:14:53 > 1:14:52riders and talking about techniques is keeping my head in the game.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52As you're coming into the corner, inside peddle up, you want to be
1:14:53 > 1:14:52looking where you're going. Slow down as well. We got run over almost
1:14:53 > 1:14:52twice! If you're sat there thinking this is
1:14:53 > 1:14:52something you would like to do, you absolutely can join clubs like. This
1:14:53 > 1:14:52they're all over the country. I found out a really cool fact. Over
1:14:53 > 1:14:52half of all the cyclists that make ight to Team GB come
1:14:53 > 1:14:52half of all the cyclists that make this one. Why not give it a go? I am
1:14:53 > 1:14:52loving it, by the way? I really am. I
1:14:53 > 1:14:52loving it, by the way? I really am. To end the someday, we're having a
1:14:53 > 1:14:52littleration. Three, two, one, off you go. Look at
1:14:53 > 1:14:52that. My knee is still really sore. I ve
1:14:53 > 1:14:52got only two weeks to make sure that's all right so I can give this
1:14:53 > 1:14:52challenge the best I possibly can. All awant to do is enjoy myself and
1:14:53 > 1:14:52push myself further than I ever have gone.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52Well done! What a race. Team GB right there. She's the future.
1:14:53 > 1:14:52You're the future. You can do it, I know it. Thanks, Lindsay. It really
1:14:53 > 1:14:52is going to be an epic week. Make sure you're watching. Send your
1:14:53 > 1:14:52questions in to the website so you can ask Radzi questions. Also, you
1:14:53 > 1:14:52have sent in questions for to them answer on the show. What football
1:14:53 > 1:14:52team do you support? Arsenal. What's your favourite food? Fish and chips,
1:14:53 > 1:14:52can't go wrong with that. What do you like better, cucumber or
1:14:53 > 1:14:52tomatoes? Both. Good fruit - I'll go tomatoes. In school, what lesson do
1:14:53 > 1:14:52you most dread and why? Most dread - probably - studies... Your favourite
1:14:53 > 1:14:52animal? Peregrine falcon, fastest animal in the world. Thank you for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52getting in touch. I have to get these pizzas ready for
1:14:53 > 1:14:52delivery. While you do that let s have a look at what's happening on
1:14:53 > 1:14:52next week's show. With The Vamps will be performing live in
1:14:53 > 1:14:52the studio. Find out how I get on in the finale of Barney's Big Bike
1:14:53 > 1:14:52challenge. Will I do it? I hope so. And find out how to turn spooky
1:14:53 > 1:14:52works of art like these into pumpkins - all next week. Thanks,
1:14:53 > 1:14:53guys. Bye! Where
