:00:22. > :00:27.the inside story on the new series. I take to the skies for a
:00:27. > :00:31.photography challenge that really puts me to the test. What ain
:00:31. > :00:41.amazing feeling. Direct from Zoey 101 and VicTORIus, American act
:00:41. > :00:53.
:00:53. > :00:56.advice, Victoria Justice joins us APPLAUSE
:00:56. > :01:02.Hello. This is British Petroleum, you know. That you pressed the
:01:02. > :01:08.button. We are on TV later tonight because we made way for a brand new
:01:08. > :01:15.series of Leonardo. Wasn't it amazing? So good. We are joined by
:01:15. > :01:22.one of its stars playing Machiavelli it is Akemnji
:01:23. > :01:29.Ndifornyen. Good to see you. Have a seat. We loved it. It was good,
:01:29. > :01:33.wasn't it? It was good. What can we expect from the rest of the series?
:01:33. > :01:37.It gets really dark. Everyone that is watching get ready for some true
:01:38. > :01:44.grit. There is also a bit of a love interest. There is. You develop a
:01:44. > :01:52.crush on somebody? There is. I kind of... I have my affection set to a
:01:52. > :01:56.lovely young lady called Angellica. Don't you start. Well done. We can
:01:56. > :02:02.have a sneak peak of that episode now where you do start take a fancy
:02:02. > :02:09.for a young lady. Amazing. Look at her. It's like she will dance with
:02:09. > :02:16.anyone apart from me. Have you ever been in love, Lorenzo? It's torture.
:02:17. > :02:22.No matter what I do for her, what I say, it's always Leo, Leo, she only
:02:22. > :02:26.has eyes for Leo. What are you talking about, who? Very funny. I
:02:26. > :02:33.was just messing with you. Do you mean Lisa? She doesn't like me. She
:02:33. > :02:39.likes me. She doesn't "like" me. was joking around. I knew it was
:02:40. > :02:48.you all along. Better luck next time. We can start about the acting
:02:48. > :02:54.skills. You are dressed as Ba si l Brush and having a serious
:02:54. > :02:58.conversation with Leonardo. Training! That looked like Barney
:02:58. > :03:04.the dog. We can get one made. We are talking about how amazing the
:03:04. > :03:08.series is. There are lots of things to do to get involved. Go to the
:03:08. > :03:16.website and check out the new Leonardo game. It's a platform game
:03:16. > :03:22.that you will get on the computer. It's at bluepeter@bbc.co.uk. Those
:03:22. > :03:29.BMX bikes are made out of wood. Do you buzz about on them When we
:03:29. > :03:35.weren't filming I was doing stunts. You say things like that on British
:03:35. > :03:42.Petroleum we will make you do stunts. Is it as much fun to film?
:03:42. > :03:47.Amazing. We are in Cape Town and among amazing actors, love to you
:03:47. > :03:57.all. We have a real blast. It's amazing crew. It looks stunning
:03:57. > :03:57.
:03:57. > :04:02.like a movie. Shot like a proper music -- movie. Amazing directors.
:04:02. > :04:05.How many months are you out there for? Four months. We are in the
:04:05. > :04:11.sunshine. When everyone is freezing in London we are enjoying the
:04:11. > :04:17.sunshine, but working really hard! We want to know what you think of
:04:18. > :04:21.the new series of Leonardo. Get in touch: Bluepeter@bbc.co.uk. Tell us
:04:21. > :04:27.what you like, what you don't like or what you would like to see more
:04:27. > :04:37.of. If you get in touch now we will try and read your message out
:04:37. > :04:38.
:04:38. > :04:43.before the end of the show. Throughout the year we have been
:04:43. > :04:48.putting together a British Petroleum calendar using a
:04:48. > :04:56.different fotic technique for each month. -- photographic technique
:04:56. > :05:00.for each month. In this one I have fly. This hawk is happy to sit here.
:05:00. > :05:06.This is an ideal photograph opportunity. When the guys are in
:05:06. > :05:15.full flight they can fly thousands of feet in the air and travel at
:05:15. > :05:21.fast speeds. It's difficult to photo graph them. This could be one
:05:21. > :05:26.of the most difficult challenges I have faced yet. To get my picture I
:05:27. > :05:35.will have to use a paraglider. It's like a parachute that flies like a
:05:35. > :05:43.bird of prey. Once we are in the air, the hawk will take to the sky.
:05:43. > :05:47.If I get myself in the air and if we get near enough, the photograph
:05:47. > :05:53.will be stung. The man charged with getting me airborne and keeping me
:05:53. > :05:58.safe is my pilot, Steve. The camera is set up. You have the paraglider
:05:58. > :06:03.set out. We only have to take off. We have a lot of wind at the moment.
:06:03. > :06:07.We need somewhere between 10mph- 20mph. It's over that at the moment.
:06:07. > :06:12.We may have to wait. Too much wind that can cause problems for us?
:06:12. > :06:18.That is right. If the wind is too strong we may go backwards and end
:06:18. > :06:25.up over the forest or the trees. It seems that unless the wind drops,
:06:25. > :06:30.my dream of photographing the hawk from the sky may not get off the
:06:30. > :06:35.ground. How does a paraglider work? It glides. The sun is warming up
:06:35. > :06:40.the ground out there and creating hot air rising. If we fly into that
:06:40. > :06:44.hot air rising we can go up and rise with it. As we wait for the
:06:44. > :06:50.wind to drop, it gives me plenty of time to get anxious about running
:06:50. > :06:54.off a cliff. It's nice standing here looking down on the valleys
:06:54. > :06:58.there. In a short amount of time I will be up there looking down from
:06:58. > :07:04.higher. This is quite scary. It's not about taking a photo any more,
:07:04. > :07:09.it's about surviving! The more I think about this, the more I'm
:07:09. > :07:14.getting nervous. This is the bottom of the paraglider. The only thing
:07:14. > :07:18.holding me in the sky are these things that are thinner than a shoe
:07:18. > :07:22.lace. Why did I say yes to this? Suddenly, Steve and his team notice
:07:22. > :07:25.that the wind has dropped to a level that will allow us to fly.
:07:25. > :07:31.With very little notice it's time for me to get my gear on and take
:07:31. > :07:36.to the sky. I'm so nervous. I've never done this before. I'm about
:07:36. > :07:46.to throw myself off the edge of a cliff. So... Yeah, a little nervous.
:07:46. > :07:56.I can't believe we are about to run towards the end. It's ridiculous.
:07:56. > :08:00.Oh! Here we rfplt we are in the air. -- are. We are in the air. What an
:08:00. > :08:05.amazing feeling. What is really strange is that it's just a chair,
:08:05. > :08:10.isn't it? There is nothing else to it. A flying chair. It's everyone's
:08:10. > :08:16.dream, isn't it, to be able to fly? Incredible. There is a lot of
:08:16. > :08:23.firsts happening today. First time I've ever been in a paraglider. The
:08:23. > :08:27.first time I have ever tried to take a picture of a hawk. Tes -- it
:08:27. > :08:31.is the first time this hawk has flown towards anybody other than
:08:31. > :08:36.his handler. We are more than prepared to give it a go and
:08:36. > :08:41.hopefully we will get a nice shot. Mart sin about to fly off and
:08:41. > :08:46.hopefully the hawk will follow him. If we get close enough I should be
:08:46. > :08:52.able to get a fantastic picture. Harris hawks use the same rising
:08:52. > :08:56.hot air that I'm using to save energy. They have amazing eyesight.
:08:56. > :09:01.It's so good, that if he could read he would read a newspaper from a
:09:01. > :09:05.quarter of a mile away, which is great for spotting prey at a
:09:05. > :09:13.distance. Harris hawks are good predators they are sometimes used
:09:13. > :09:23.at airports and sporting venues to help remove pigeons. Let's try and
:09:23. > :09:24.
:09:24. > :09:34.get this snap. He's just out of range. Beautiful bird. A bit too
:09:34. > :09:35.
:09:35. > :09:41.far away. After 20 minutes the wind has dropped and my window to get a
:09:41. > :09:46.picture has closed. I hope I have managed to get a good picture. Felt
:09:46. > :09:49.incredible to be up there. It's like superman. Superman but sat
:09:49. > :09:58.down. It's a casual superman, if anything. When you throw yourself
:09:58. > :10:04.over the edge it's like, "What am I doing." When you are up there it's
:10:04. > :10:08.brilliant. I had an amazing time. These are my photos. It was such a
:10:08. > :10:13.good fun thing to do. There are the pictures on the British Petroleum
:10:13. > :10:19.calendar for the month of October. Some of you have been going to the
:10:19. > :10:23.website. What an amazing experience. It was incredible. He flew like he
:10:23. > :10:29.was a bird! Go to the website and download the calendar from there
:10:29. > :10:36.and stick it on your wall. We want your comments for you to tell us
:10:36. > :10:42.about what you think of Leonardo. Email us. You can if you want. Our
:10:42. > :10:49.next guest has come all the way from the US of A. She's no stranger
:10:50. > :10:59.to bright lights of the TV world and if you are one of the many who
:11:00. > :11:11.
:11:11. > :11:21.love VicTORIus on Nickelodeon you will know what I mean. She is with
:11:21. > :11:22.
:11:22. > :11:25.us now. Please welcome Victoria Justice to the studio. This is your
:11:25. > :11:28.first time on the British Petroleum set we would like to award with you
:11:28. > :11:35.a British Petroleum badge? I have been looking forward to this. Thank
:11:35. > :11:40.you. Let's talk about how busy you are. Movies, TV series, music the
:11:40. > :11:45.works. How do you fit it all in? don't know how I fit it all in.
:11:45. > :11:49.Every day I wake up and feel so lucky and grateful. It's an amazing
:11:49. > :11:53.journey. Have you always wanted to work in showbusiness? I think so. I
:11:53. > :12:00.have been performing since I was little. I have been singing when I
:12:00. > :12:04.was three. I had an uncle in a band. I was acting since I was young. I
:12:04. > :12:07.have been around entertainment. has progressed from acting and
:12:07. > :12:14.being in movies to singing. We heard a little bit of your song
:12:14. > :12:24.earlier on. We will see a clip. It's a song I wrote too. You get to
:12:24. > :12:30.
:12:30. > :12:38.# I got a feeling that I'm not the only one
:12:38. > :12:44.# I want to show some skin... # APPLAUSE
:12:44. > :12:49.He is going on and on about the car. Was it a Mustang? Too much boy
:12:49. > :12:57.stuff. We can talk about the message boards. When people found
:12:57. > :13:03.out you were being here they have sent us for questions. One here is,
:13:03. > :13:08."Today is my birthday. Me and my sister love you. Who is your idol?
:13:08. > :13:14.My mum. We spend a lot of time together. I'm learning from her and
:13:14. > :13:21.becoming a better person because of her. She travels around with you
:13:21. > :13:30.are always together. It's great. Try the chips and gravy., "What was
:13:30. > :13:40.your first acting role, I remember watching you in Zoey 101 ages ago
:13:40. > :13:45.
:13:45. > :13:51.?" My first action was for Ovatine. Other drinks are available. I was
:13:51. > :13:55.given Zoey 101 and VicTORIus. There is a new show airing this week on
:13:56. > :13:59.Nickelodeon. Another one, "What is it like going somewhere and have
:13:59. > :14:04.people scream and shout your name?" It doesn't always happen that way.
:14:04. > :14:08.It depends where I go. I have been getting recognised a lot more, I
:14:08. > :14:13.guess, it's incredible. I love being able to meet the fans. It's
:14:13. > :14:19.my favourite part. I'm thankful for all of them. If it wasn't for them,
:14:19. > :14:24.I wouldn't be here. What is next? have my first leading role in a
:14:24. > :14:32.feature film, it's coming out this October, October 29th. A Hallowe'en
:14:32. > :14:40.comedy called Fun Size. Check it out. It's a great young adult cast.
:14:40. > :14:46.You will play a role for us later. Here on British Petroleum we hate
:14:46. > :14:50.to see things go to waste. When we heard that a fancy showgarden was
:14:50. > :14:57.up for grabs we sent the British Petroleum Gardiner to take it to a
:14:57. > :15:04.Every year hundreds of the world's greatest gardens are showcased in
:15:04. > :15:07.the Chelsea Flower Show in London. It draws some familiar faces.
:15:07. > :15:11.Only a few of these stunning displays are awarded medals for
:15:11. > :15:15.excellence, so competition is fierce!
:15:15. > :15:21.But not all the gardens are for show, some find new homes as soon
:15:21. > :15:27.as the exhibition is over. With that in mind, watch this space.
:15:27. > :15:31.I have come to Rainbow's Hospice to help rebuild a garden which is set
:15:31. > :15:34.to become a very important part of what this place does. This hospice
:15:34. > :15:38.is where children who are very ill can come and get care and support
:15:38. > :15:42.and chill out. The garden from Chelsea will be a new part of
:15:42. > :15:47.somewhere these kids can kick back and enjoy the outdoors.
:15:47. > :15:55.It's been packed up and driven 140 miles from London to Loughborough.
:15:55. > :15:58.This team of gardeners have seven days to put it back together.
:15:58. > :16:02.I am meeting Declan and Charlotte and their families who will be
:16:02. > :16:05.amongst the first to experience the new outdoor space.
:16:05. > :16:12.Are you looking forward to the garden being built? Yeah. Is it
:16:12. > :16:14.your thing, you like gardens? to get some sun. We are going to
:16:14. > :16:18.build this garden especially for the hospice, are you looking
:16:18. > :16:22.forward to that being built? Yes. Do you like flowers? Yes. What
:16:22. > :16:25.about gardening? Yes. You like gardening, that's what I like,
:16:25. > :16:30.enthusiasm! Without further ado, it's time to
:16:30. > :16:34.get cracking. First, we have to prepare the soil. They say many
:16:35. > :16:39.hands make light work. What makes lighter work is a machine!
:16:39. > :16:45.That is rock hard. It's tough work, so I am going to leave it to these
:16:45. > :16:49.hard lads. Next job, we have to unload the
:16:49. > :16:53.truck. These things look heavy. This is a bit of a supervision
:16:53. > :16:57.moment. I don't want to get the shirt too dirty!
:16:57. > :17:02.That's the end of my time for the moment. The boys have loads to get
:17:02. > :17:06.on with. I wonder if they'll make it in time?
:17:06. > :17:11.It's been a week. I am back at the hospice. Let's find out how they're
:17:12. > :17:17.getting on with that garden. The gardeners have worked around
:17:17. > :17:21.the clock in terrible weather to get this garden built. Now it's
:17:21. > :17:25.time for Declan and Charlotte to give their verdict. Right,
:17:25. > :17:31.Charlotte, I am going to start with you. Smiler! What do you think of
:17:31. > :17:36.the garden? Do you like it, don't go shy on me now. Yeah. There's a
:17:36. > :17:43.nice place to relax. Charlotte's sisters, what do you think? I like
:17:43. > :17:49.them. You like the seats. What do you reckon? It looks really good.
:17:49. > :17:54.You can find yourself out here and come out here to relax. Yeah.
:17:54. > :17:58.do you think? They need to come and do mine, it looks lovely.
:17:58. > :18:02.One month on and the garden is looking great in the sun.
:18:02. > :18:07.There's a lot to inspire you in this garden. The lads worked really
:18:07. > :18:12.hard on it and all in all, it's a special garden for a very special
:18:12. > :18:16.place. The new Blue Peter Appeal is coming
:18:16. > :18:20.soon. What will do you? You have sent a smile across the
:18:20. > :18:23.world by decorating t-shirts. You have created cards to change lives.
:18:23. > :18:26.You have helped to set up breakfast clubs throughout the UK.
:18:26. > :18:29.And last year, you baked a difference for Children in Need.
:18:29. > :18:36.How can you get involved in the Blue Peter Appeal this year? All
:18:36. > :18:41.will be revealed soon. We have been talk being this, it's
:18:41. > :18:44.going to be so much fun. Stay tuned. We are going to launch the appeal
:18:44. > :18:49.in a few weeks. Stick with us to find out how you can get involved.
:18:49. > :18:55.The excitement of the Olympics is just about dying down but it wasn't
:18:55. > :19:00.just the athletes who were a big hit, the mascots - here he is
:19:00. > :19:03.coming. Wenlock and Mandeville were a huge hit. Every great sporting
:19:03. > :19:08.event needs a great mascot and last year we invited to you design a
:19:08. > :19:14.mascot for the Commonwealth Games in 2014 in Glasgow. It's time to
:19:14. > :19:16.reveal the winner. In 2014 Glasgow will be hosting the 20th
:19:16. > :19:19.Commonwealth Games, which sees athletes from all over the
:19:19. > :19:25.Commonwealth arriving in this beautiful city to compete in a
:19:25. > :19:31.variety of events. So, I am in training, I am going to be the new
:19:31. > :19:37.Mo Farah. I am going to win gold in long distance... Actually, can we
:19:37. > :19:41.stop. I might stick to presenting. Situated on the banks of the river
:19:41. > :19:45.Clyde Glasgow is Scotland's biggest city. In 2014 people from all over
:19:45. > :19:48.the world will be coming here for this historic event.
:19:48. > :19:52.However, Team GB won't be competing in the Commonwealth Games because
:19:53. > :19:57.the four nations of the United Kingdom, that's England, Northern
:19:57. > :20:02.Ireland, Wales and, of course, Scotland, they compete against each
:20:02. > :20:06.other. The Commonwealth Games started in 1930 and were originally
:20:06. > :20:11.called the British Empire Games. Every country in the Commonwealth
:20:11. > :20:16.can take part, that includes New Zealand, Australia, India, Pakistan,
:20:16. > :20:20.18 countries from Africa, in fact, there are 71 countries in total
:20:21. > :20:30.that can take part. Back in November last year we gave
:20:31. > :20:31.
:20:31. > :20:33.you the chance to play your part in the Commonwealth Games by designing
:20:33. > :20:36.the official mascot. They don't have a mascot and so, they want you
:20:36. > :20:38.to get in touch and design it for them. We had thousands of entries
:20:38. > :20:41.from all over the country. But would you believe the winner
:20:41. > :20:44.actually lives right here in Glasgow. At the moment she doesn't
:20:44. > :20:47.know she's won, that's where I come She's called Beth and lives down
:20:47. > :20:52.this street. At the moment she's got no idea she's won the
:20:52. > :20:59.competition. I hope she's in! I love this sort of thing. The door's
:20:59. > :21:08.open. They've left the door open for us. Come in.
:21:08. > :21:14.Hiya, Beth. How are you doing? Good. What are you doing? Not much,
:21:14. > :21:18.just... It's a bit of a shock, isn't it? I am sorry, how are you?
:21:18. > :21:22.Good. Do you remember entering a competition in November to design
:21:22. > :21:28.the mascot for the Commonwealth Games? Yeah. You entered, didn't
:21:28. > :21:35.you? Yeah. What did you do? I drew a Thistle. The guys in charge have
:21:35. > :21:38.decided you are the winner. Are you all right? Yeah. It's a bit of a
:21:38. > :21:43.shock when people come barging through your door and tell you that.
:21:43. > :21:47.Look, here he is. Wow! It's great, isn't it? Yeah.
:21:47. > :21:51.The judges thought Beth's mascot was fun and really captured the
:21:51. > :21:55.spirit of the Games. Thistles are the emblem of Scotland so Clyde
:21:55. > :21:58.really does represent this fantastic country. He's got
:21:58. > :22:01.obviously the Scottish flag as a t- shirt and yellow pants and red
:22:01. > :22:07.shoes, what was the idea behind that? He has all the colours, you
:22:07. > :22:09.had to put certain colours in and I was trying to think of really
:22:09. > :22:15.Scottish names and I wasn't coming up with anything and then we
:22:15. > :22:18.thought because of the River Clyde and then... Thank you so much for
:22:18. > :22:21.getting involved and entering the competition. Yours is now the
