6:40:05 > 6:40:08we gave away over 4,000 of them. It's very popular.
6:40:08 > 6:40:12And that means that over 4,000 of you inspired your friends
6:40:12 > 6:40:15and your family to get involved in sport, and so, we thought,

6:41:12 > 6:41:17# I looked into the clouds and saw
6:41:17 > 6:41:21# My face in the moonlight
6:41:21 > 6:41:25# Just then I realised what a fool I could be
6:41:25 > 6:41:30# Just cos I look so high I don't have to see me
6:41:31 > 6:41:36# Finding a paradise wasn't easy but still
6:41:36 > 6:41:41# There's a road going down the other side of this hill
6:41:41 > 6:41:47# Never forget where you've come here from
6:41:47 > 6:41:52# Never pretend that it's all real
6:41:52 > 6:41:59# Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
6:41:59 > 6:42:02# This will be someone else's dream
6:42:02 > 6:42:05# Never
6:42:05 > 6:42:08# Everybody sing, oh, baby!
6:42:08 > 6:42:10# Never
6:42:10 > 6:42:12# No, never
6:42:12 > 6:42:13# Never forget, oh, no
6:42:13 > 6:42:15# Someday
6:42:15 > 6:42:18# Louder, louder, louder
6:42:18 > 6:42:20# Oh
6:42:20 > 6:42:21# Oh, oh

6:42:31 > 6:42:34# Pretend that it's all real
6:42:34 > 6:42:36# Someday
6:42:36 > 6:42:41# This will all be someone else's dream
6:42:41 > 6:42:44# This will be someone else's dream
6:42:44 > 6:42:47# We've come so far... #

6:43:56 > 6:43:59I'll start with yourself, what does it mean to be involved in sports?
6:43:59 > 6:44:01Why is it so important?
6:44:01 > 6:44:03Being in sport is so important to me, because I've learnt
6:44:03 > 6:44:07so much stuff that really helps me in my day-to-day life.
6:44:07 > 6:44:11I get up out of bed every day and I'm so happy to
6:44:11 > 6:44:12go out and run and compete.
6:44:12 > 6:44:16- I've just come back from the Bahamas, which was lovely.- Nice!
6:44:16 > 6:44:18Yes, it was. But that's what we have, we get a chance
6:44:18 > 6:44:21to travel the world and meet really, really great athletes,
6:44:21 > 6:44:24meet cool people like Louis Smith, come on shows like this.
6:44:24 > 6:44:27You know, I have a lot of fun doing what I do.

6:44:35 > 6:44:37We could ask you questions all day,
6:44:37 > 6:44:38but Lindsey's down in the crowd.
6:44:38 > 6:44:42Yes, Abigail, you've got a question for Christine, haven't you?
6:44:42 > 6:44:46Um, if you weren't an athlete,
6:44:46 > 6:44:49what would you do in sport?
6:44:49 > 6:44:51Ooh, that's good question. Christine?
6:44:51 > 6:44:53Yeah, that's a really good question.
6:44:53 > 6:44:54If I wasn't an athlete, I think
6:44:54 > 6:44:57I probably would have done netball, because I used to play netball,
6:44:57 > 6:45:00so I probably would just have continued doing that.
6:45:00 > 6:45:03And, Olivia, you've got a question for Louis. What is it?
6:45:03 > 6:45:06What was your most embarrassing moment and why?
6:45:06 > 6:45:08I like that one! Louis?
6:45:08 > 6:45:10My most embarrassing moment? What, in sport?
6:45:10 > 6:45:14- Um...- Not in life, not in life! - That could be a different story!
6:45:14 > 6:45:17I remember I was trying to get ready for the European Championships
6:45:17 > 6:45:20in 2010, and my leotards were in my friend's room
6:45:20 > 6:45:23and I was panicking, I was trying to get ready...
6:45:23 > 6:45:25So I nipped out my room...
6:45:25 > 6:45:27went through the corridor in my pants
6:45:27 > 6:45:30and they thought it'd be funny to lock me out both rooms.
6:45:30 > 6:45:32So, while other teams were leaving to get the bus,
6:45:32 > 6:45:34I was standing outside in my pants, so...
6:45:34 > 6:45:37- that's embarrassing. - Louis and Christine, you're here for
6:45:37 > 6:45:39a good reason today and that is to reveal the brand-new

6:45:50 > 6:45:54Give the brand-new design a huge round of applause! Oh, my goodness!
6:45:54 > 6:45:57Yes! But the most important fact of this, is the simple fact that it's

6:46:00 > 6:46:03Louis and Christine, thank you so much for being here today.
6:46:03 > 6:46:04It's really been very cool.

6:46:08 > 6:46:10and you still want to apply for one this year, you can,
6:46:10 > 6:46:12but if you're wondering how you're going to do it,

6:46:21 > 6:46:24My name is Sophie and I inspired Katy to take up
6:46:24 > 6:46:27pole-vaulting for my Blue Peter Sport Badge.
6:46:30 > 6:46:32My dad inspired me to pole vault
6:46:32 > 6:46:35because I found out that he won a Commonwealth gold medal in Edinburgh.
6:46:37 > 6:46:40People should inspire a friend to take up a sport
6:46:40 > 6:46:43because it is active and they learn something new.
6:46:45 > 6:46:48And that's how I earnt my Sport Badge!
6:46:48 > 6:46:49Hi, I'm Ben.

6:46:58 > 6:47:02because she's the oldest person in Britain to complete an Ironman.
6:47:02 > 6:47:05And that's pretty impressive considering she's pretty old.
6:47:07 > 6:47:10It's a great feeling to know that you've earned this badge and
6:47:10 > 6:47:14it's wonderful to know you've helped somebody take part in a new sport.
6:47:14 > 6:47:15And that's how I earned my Sport Badge.

6:47:37 > 6:47:41My dream is to be a Paralympian
6:47:41 > 6:47:45and, hopefully, get into Tokyo's Olympics.

6:47:53 > 6:47:55and I earned my Sports Badge
6:47:55 > 6:47:58by inspiring my friend, Luke, in cricket.

6:49:04 > 6:49:07and tick the box at the bottom that says you would like to be considered
6:49:07 > 6:49:10to be on the judging panel, and then you have to answer
6:49:10 > 6:49:12- a simple question.- It is very simple.
6:49:12 > 6:49:14It is, "What would make you a great judge on
6:49:14 > 6:49:18"the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Awards 2014?"
6:49:18 > 6:49:20Now, it is a really cool thing to do, but, more so than that,
6:49:20 > 6:49:23it's a privilege to be on it, so make sure you apply for this year's
6:49:23 > 6:49:26Sport Badge so you are in with a chance.
6:49:26 > 6:49:29And don't forget to tick that box that actually says why you
6:49:29 > 6:49:31would like to be considered as a judge
6:49:31 > 6:49:34to be on the panel for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.
6:49:34 > 6:49:36Now, we couldn't be talking about this and getting sporty
6:49:36 > 6:49:39if we weren't getting active ourselves. Isn't that right?
6:49:39 > 6:49:42That is right. When you think of what makes a top sportsman or woman,
6:49:42 > 6:49:45you may be thinking strength...
6:49:45 > 6:49:48you may be thinking a bit of speed...
6:49:48 > 6:49:51and you may be thinking a bit of leadership.
6:49:51 > 6:49:52SHE BLOWS WHISTLE
6:49:52 > 6:49:54- Radzi!- Yes, Lindsey, sorry.
6:49:54 > 6:49:56Now, those skills are actually very important
6:49:56 > 6:49:58for our next challenge that we trained for.
6:49:58 > 6:50:00This wasn't any ordinary sport, though.
6:50:00 > 6:50:02We were training to be medieval knights!
6:50:06 > 6:50:11# When a knight won his spurs in the stories of old
6:50:11 > 6:50:14# He was gentle and brave, he was gallant and bold. #
6:50:16 > 6:50:19And then...there were these three.
6:50:20 > 6:50:22- YONKO:- 'Meet Squire Barney of Harwood,
6:50:22 > 6:50:23'Squire Lindsey of Russell,
6:50:23 > 6:50:25'and Squire Radzi of Chinyanganya.
6:50:27 > 6:50:31'These young apprentices are out to experience medieval knight school.
6:50:31 > 6:50:34'They'll be put through three awe-inspiring challenges,
6:50:34 > 6:50:37'but who will be crowned Blue Peter's knight?
6:50:37 > 6:50:40'And who will end up in the fearsome trebuchet?'
6:50:41 > 6:50:42Challenge One, Birds of Prey.
6:50:42 > 6:50:43EAGLE SCREECHES
6:50:43 > 6:50:49Will our squires fall foul of this high-flying challenge and who will
6:50:49 > 6:50:53swoop to victory as they attempt to achieve the perfect landing?
6:50:54 > 6:50:57- BARNEY:- Meet Ernie, a milky eagle owl.
6:50:57 > 6:51:01In times of old, birds of prey were used to catch food, so we squires
6:51:01 > 6:51:06need top-notch handling skills, otherwise, we're going to be hungry.
6:51:06 > 6:51:09All we have to do is tempt Ernie to fly onto our gauntlet
6:51:09 > 6:51:10and stay there.
6:51:10 > 6:51:12How hard can it be?
6:51:12 > 6:51:13Come on, Ernie. Ernie!
6:51:13 > 6:51:15'Squire Lindsey is up first.'
6:51:15 > 6:51:17Ernie...
6:51:17 > 6:51:20do what my training taught me. Ernie?
6:51:20 > 6:51:22'Looks like Ernie doesn't give a hoot.'
6:51:22 > 6:51:25- OK, let's go.- You would be a hungry squire, wouldn't she?
6:51:25 > 6:51:26She wouldn't eat for, like, weeks.
6:51:26 > 6:51:29Lindsey, it's going absolutely pear-shaped.
6:51:29 > 6:51:31'Surely, you can't take any longer?'
6:51:31 > 6:51:34OK, Ernie, ready? Well done.
6:51:34 > 6:51:36- 'Finally!'- Good job.
6:51:36 > 6:51:39Now, how long do you think you can hold an owl?
6:51:39 > 6:51:41- Go on!- Go on, Linds, dig deep!- Oh!
6:51:43 > 6:51:45There's some wibbling and wobbling going on.
6:51:45 > 6:51:47Ernie's decided to bail out!
6:51:47 > 6:51:49'Radzi is up next and he's looking pretty confident.'
6:51:49 > 6:51:52- This chicken is good.- He can see it, he can see it, he can see it!
6:51:52 > 6:51:53It's there! Well played.
6:51:53 > 6:51:55- 'Oops.'- Yeah! Ernie!
6:51:58 > 6:51:59- See you later!- Oh, no!
6:52:01 > 6:52:02Was that meant to happen?
6:52:02 > 6:52:05How hard is it to get an owl back from the top of a castle?
6:52:05 > 6:52:08I can't believe you just got rid of the challenge.
6:52:08 > 6:52:11'No bird, no food. Someone's going to be hungry.
6:52:13 > 6:52:14'And what about my go?'
6:52:14 > 6:52:17Ernie, here. Look at this,
6:52:17 > 6:52:21a nice bit of chicken. Yes, mate, look at that. Beautiful, isn't it?
6:52:21 > 6:52:24Look at him spinning round. He wants a bit of that action, yes!
6:52:24 > 6:52:25Good lad.
6:52:25 > 6:52:27'Stay there, Ernie! Stay!
6:52:27 > 6:52:29'Stay.'
6:52:29 > 6:52:31- OK!- He's off.- He's off. Well done. Really?
6:52:31 > 6:52:34- I'll be honest. I thought my hat was gone!- Really?
6:52:34 > 6:52:36'Whilst Ernie is rescued yet again,
6:52:36 > 6:52:40'it's time to find out which one of us rules the roost.'
6:52:40 > 6:52:42- I think I'm going to go for Lindsey.- Yes, yes, yes, yes!
6:52:44 > 6:52:45Yes! I did not expect that!
6:52:45 > 6:52:48- That is ridiculous!- Are you being serious?- That is actually...
6:52:48 > 6:52:51To be fair, I was the one person who didn't lose the bird.
6:52:51 > 6:52:54YONKO: So, Squire Lindsey is the winner with three points,
6:52:54 > 6:52:56Squire Barney gets two points,
6:52:56 > 6:52:59and in last place with one point is Squire Radzi.
6:53:01 > 6:53:03Challenge Two, Combat!
6:53:03 > 6:53:07Forsooth, our squires must now take part in the Combat Challenge,

6:53:11 > 6:53:15or arms or legs, toes, fingers...I mean, the list goes on.
6:53:15 > 6:53:17It happens all the time. Speaking of which,
