6:30:22 > 6:30:24I got a little bit carried away and it's probably going to
6:30:24 > 6:30:27- happen again later on. - OK, Radz, stay calm for now.
6:30:27 > 6:30:28Though you were right to get excited,

6:30:31 > 6:30:34- Look over there behind that screen. - Yeah.- Guess what's behind it.
6:30:34 > 6:30:37That is two pirates fighting over a Victoria sponge and one of them
6:30:37 > 6:30:39has got a head as an orange.
6:30:39 > 6:30:41I knew you'd say something silly on the live show.
6:30:41 > 6:30:43No, it's not that, it's actually the two mascots for
6:30:43 > 6:30:45the World Para Athletics
6:30:45 > 6:30:48- and the IAAF World Championships London 2017.- Well done.
6:30:48 > 6:30:50Boom! I remembered that. I'm so happy!

6:31:01 > 6:31:03You can't, because we're doing a big reveal later on.
6:31:03 > 6:31:04So stay there, naughty.
6:31:04 > 6:31:08I've said it before, I will say it again, best competition ever.
6:31:08 > 6:31:12Did I mention I went to the world's biggest wrestling event, by the way?
6:31:12 > 6:31:14- Yeah, you did, once or twice, yeah. - Quite a lot.
6:31:14 > 6:31:15That's because I did go there.
6:31:15 > 6:31:18It's watched by over 100 million people throughout the world.
6:31:18 > 6:31:19That's like ours.
6:31:19 > 6:31:22In fact, the only two sporting events watched by more people
6:31:22 > 6:31:25are the World Cup final and the Super Bowl. It is off the chart.
6:31:25 > 6:31:27- And Blue Peter. - This man here is Triple H.
6:31:27 > 6:31:29- He's a colossus.- That's you. - He's a titan.
6:31:29 > 6:31:32He's a beast. That was me, but that's him there.
6:31:32 > 6:31:34What a monster! Is his head upside down?
6:31:34 > 6:31:36Radzi, nearly as exciting as that,
6:31:36 > 6:31:39nearly as exciting is we're going to be playing spot Shelley, OK?
6:31:39 > 6:31:42- I'm currently using her to fan down Radzi...- And hit me.
6:31:42 > 6:31:45- ..because he is so excited. - It's fine, we're wrestling!
6:31:45 > 6:31:47If you spot Shelley later in the show,
6:31:47 > 6:31:50- do head onto Fan Club Live, let us know where she is. She's gone!- Whoa!
6:31:50 > 6:31:52I've found her, she's right there on the floor.
6:31:52 > 6:31:54- I win, thank you very much.- No. - Total chaos.
6:31:54 > 6:31:56Follow me over here to meet some boys that we wish
6:31:56 > 6:31:59were in the studio every week. It's Yes Lad.
6:31:59 > 6:32:02CHEERING
6:32:02 > 6:32:03Up top! Too slow.
6:32:05 > 6:32:07Boys, welcome to the studio. Good to see you.
6:32:07 > 6:32:08Good to see you, how are you?
6:32:08 > 6:32:11We're all right, I think, as far as things are going so far.
6:32:11 > 6:32:12It's a live show, so let's kick it on.
6:32:12 > 6:32:14We'll be talking about Yes Lad,
6:32:14 > 6:32:16but we'll do it in a very different way because
6:32:16 > 6:32:18obviously you answer questions all the time, it's part of your job.
6:32:18 > 6:32:21So we're going to invent a game now. It's known as Yes Lad, No Lad.
6:32:22 > 6:32:25It's good that, isn't it? I'm going to ask you questions.
6:32:25 > 6:32:27You can't say yes and you can't say no. What can't you say?
6:32:27 > 6:32:30- Those words.- Amazing, well played. If you say yes or no,
6:32:30 > 6:32:33the forfeit is you will have to be on the floor doing press-ups
6:32:33 > 6:32:36until the next person in the band says yes or no.
6:32:36 > 6:32:38- It's that simple. Are you ready for this?- Yeah.
6:32:38 > 6:32:40- BUZZ! - Get down there now.
6:32:40 > 6:32:41Get down there now!
6:32:41 > 6:32:44Joel, of all the people to get it wrong first time round.
6:32:44 > 6:32:47- So, do you understand the rules? - Of course.- Excellent.
6:32:47 > 6:32:49- So, what can't you say?- Those words you just told us not to say.
6:32:49 > 6:32:52OK, first of all, what's the name of your band?
6:32:53 > 6:32:54Oh, come on! Erm...
6:32:55 > 6:32:58Mm-hm Men.
6:32:58 > 6:33:00You can say lad, lad's OK.
6:33:00 > 6:33:02That's actually a very difficult question.
6:33:02 > 6:33:04Now, you guys were formed by one of the biggest names
6:33:04 > 6:33:07in the music industry, Nigel Martin-Smith. What a legend.
6:33:07 > 6:33:10He's going to take you to some seriously... What? Keep going.
6:33:10 > 6:33:12He's going to take you all the way, isn't he?
6:33:12 > 6:33:15- He is.- Let's hope so, yeah.- He will.
6:33:15 > 6:33:17- BUZZ! - Get down there now.
6:33:17 > 6:33:21Last year, you competed on The X Factor. How was that?
6:33:21 > 6:33:24- It was good.- How do you feel about performing in front of an audience?
6:33:24 > 6:33:28- Scary, but fun.- I bet. Do you get nervous?- Sometimes.
6:33:28 > 6:33:32- Yeah, how about you, Jake, do you get nervous?- You know, it varies.
6:33:32 > 6:33:34Now, Jake, you're the choreographer in the band, aren't you?
6:33:34 > 6:33:37- That's correct.- So you do what dance moves people do.
6:33:37 > 6:33:39- Put your...- Come on!
6:33:39 > 6:33:41Is it actually hard...?
6:33:41 > 6:33:44Is it actually hard for you to teach these boys the dance moves
6:33:44 > 6:33:47- and whip them into shape?- It was.
6:33:47 > 6:33:48Mate, I'm not going to break.
6:33:48 > 6:33:51I don't think you're going to break, are you?
6:33:51 > 6:33:53- No. - BUZZ!
6:33:55 > 6:33:58What a brilliant answer!
6:33:58 > 6:34:01So, you guys clearly spend a lot of time together. Who's the messiest?
6:34:01 > 6:34:03I'd say it's me, Jake and Joel.
6:34:03 > 6:34:05- Yeah.- Because we share a room. - BUZZ!
6:34:05 > 6:34:08Get down! Come on, Cian, you should know better than that.
6:34:08 > 6:34:11- Who tells the worst jokes? - Lewis, definitely.- Lewis, really?
6:34:11 > 6:34:14- Oh, you want to hear some of them. - Why, what are your jokes like?
6:34:14 > 6:34:17- To be fair, I used to do comedy. - Oh, did you?- Not very well, though.
6:34:17 > 6:34:19- I nearly said it there. - You nearly did, well done.
6:34:19 > 6:34:20You didn't, though. Well played.
6:34:20 > 6:34:23Let's talk about your first single, you're releasing it very soon.
6:34:23 > 6:34:25- Tell me about it. - Walk Away.- Walk Away, yeah.
6:34:25 > 6:34:27- Why's it called that? - It's basically...
6:34:27 > 6:34:30We've all been in times where we've had a friend that we've liked
6:34:30 > 6:34:32and we're too scared to tell them, so you just walk away.
6:34:32 > 6:34:34It's quite nice to have a title to a song
6:34:34 > 6:34:36- where people relate to it, isn't it?- Of course it is.
6:34:36 > 6:34:39What do you think people will think when they listen to the song?
6:34:39 > 6:34:41- I think they're going to like it. - SIREN BLARES
6:34:41 > 6:34:44Really well played. Cian, take a seat.
6:34:44 > 6:34:47Let's hear it for Yes Lad. What a good performance that was.
6:34:47 > 6:34:50So, I'll tell you what, who didn't go down for press-ups?
6:34:50 > 6:34:52You didn't, did you, Lewis? OK, Lewis and Jake can come as well.
6:34:52 > 6:34:56- OK, let's do it. - Oh, what are you two doing?
6:34:56 > 6:34:59- Let's have a look at this week's big push.- Come on, Linds!
6:34:59 > 6:35:00Come on, you've got him!
6:35:00 > 6:35:04I can't do them! This week we've got something trending.
6:35:04 > 6:35:07- It's smiley little poop emojis. Have a look at these.- Amazing.
6:35:07 > 6:35:09We showed you how to make these a couple of weeks ago.
6:35:09 > 6:35:12You've been loving them, look! Everyone's having a munch.
6:35:12 > 6:35:14- We love it. - Boys, anything you've spotted?
6:35:14 > 6:35:16We like Thomas's one. It's really happy.
6:35:16 > 6:35:18- That's Shelley, isn't it? - That is Shelley.
6:35:18 > 6:35:21- It's wicked. I love googly-eyed pictures, by the way.- Oh, yeah.
6:35:21 > 6:35:24- Look how happy Shelley is. - I wonder why she's so happy, Radz?
6:35:24 > 6:35:27- It's probably because it's National Pet Month.- Is it, now?
6:35:27 > 6:35:29Test your knowledge on the Blue Peter website to see how much
6:35:29 > 6:35:32you love National Pet Month.
6:35:32 > 6:35:34- I didn't do very well, by the way. - Love it.
6:35:34 > 6:35:37Now, I've been talking for ages, and I mean for ages,
6:35:37 > 6:35:40about smell-o-vision. I think you should be able to smell the telly.
6:35:40 > 6:35:43So look at what's been sent in. These are actual smell-o-visions.
6:35:43 > 6:35:45Oh, my goodness.
6:35:45 > 6:35:47On the outside here, "Barney loves coffee in the morning."
6:35:47 > 6:35:50- It's a little TV set, and if you sniff it....- Oh, yeah.
6:35:50 > 6:35:53- It smells like coffee, doesn't it? - Oh, it does.- How good is that?
6:35:53 > 6:35:55- This one is... - LINDSEY LAUGHS
6:35:55 > 6:35:58Radzi's brushing his teeth in this week's episode on here.
6:35:58 > 6:36:00Give it a sniff.
6:36:00 > 6:36:02Oh, Colgate.
6:36:02 > 6:36:04- Yeah, it is Colgate. - How good is that? Amazing!
6:36:04 > 6:36:06Smell-o-vision exists, I knew it would. Thank you very much.
6:36:06 > 6:36:09- Badge on the way.- I want to draw your attention to these two.
6:36:09 > 6:36:12They look so cheeky and lovely. Their names are Amelia and Joseph.
6:36:12 > 6:36:15They're there with their sport badges 2016 and they have
6:36:15 > 6:36:17been having so much fun thanks to their BP badges.
6:36:17 > 6:36:20We're going to read this out, it's a little e-mail they sent us.
6:36:20 > 6:36:22They want to say a big thank-you for their Blue Peter badges.
6:36:22 > 6:36:25"We've had theme park adventures, animal adventures,
6:36:25 > 6:36:27"historical days, scientific fun.
6:36:27 > 6:36:30"We just love wearing our badges as people at the ticket offices
6:36:30 > 6:36:33- "always smile and they ask us how we got them."- Oh, that's so nice.
6:36:33 > 6:36:35It's all about the Blue Peter badge, isn't it?
6:36:35 > 6:36:38It is all about the badge, and don't forget that once you've got
6:36:38 > 6:36:40your badge, you can get in to over 200 attractions around the UK.
6:36:40 > 6:36:42Boys, come on, let's try this.
6:36:42 > 6:36:44ALL: For free!
6:36:44 > 6:36:46Thank you, get out. But please check the website
6:36:46 > 6:36:49for details because the venues can change.
6:36:49 > 6:36:52It is amazing where this little beauty can take you.
6:36:52 > 6:36:54Case in point, my American adventure.
6:37:06 > 6:37:10- Hi, how can I help you? - One ticket to WrestleMania, please.
6:37:10 > 6:37:12Hey!
6:37:12 > 6:37:14'Can you tell I'm excited?
6:37:14 > 6:37:15'Well, I am.'
6:37:16 > 6:37:21Blue Peter has been given access to one of the biggest sporting events
6:37:21 > 6:37:25on the planet - WrestleMania!
6:37:25 > 6:37:30Getting up to 100 million viewers in more than 200 countries
6:37:30 > 6:37:35around the world, it doesn't get much bigger than this.
6:37:35 > 6:37:40We are officially in the plane and on our way to Orlando, Florida
6:37:40 > 6:37:44in the United States of America, flying at 34,000 feet.
6:37:44 > 6:37:46I could not be more excited.
6:37:46 > 6:37:48I'm still in my outfit, as you can see.
6:37:48 > 6:37:51But this is going to be a proper Blue Peter exclusive because
6:37:51 > 6:37:54we'll show you exactly what goes in to making one of
6:37:54 > 6:37:57the greatest shows on Earth.
6:37:57 > 6:38:01Since 1985, this has been wrestling's equivalent of
6:38:01 > 6:38:06the Champions League final, and the biggest event in the WWE calendar.
6:38:06 > 6:38:10Ever since I can remember being here has been a dream,
6:38:10 > 6:38:14and as we arrive in Florida, it starts to sink in -
6:38:14 > 6:38:17this is actually going to happen!
6:38:17 > 6:38:21I've loved wrestling for over 20 years and it's simply for
6:38:21 > 6:38:27the fact that you get to see things in the ring which only happen
6:38:27 > 6:38:30in films, but they actually happen in real life.
6:38:30 > 6:38:34These people are doing the most extraordinary things
6:38:34 > 6:38:38and I know this year's WrestleMania will be no different.
6:38:40 > 6:38:44But there's much more than just the Main Event going on here
6:38:44 > 6:38:47and I start my tour with the Performance Center,
6:38:47 > 6:38:50where athletes are trained to potentially become
6:38:50 > 6:38:51Superstars of the future.
6:38:53 > 6:38:55We've got different rings around the place where the guys
6:38:55 > 6:38:57are learning specific skills.
6:38:57 > 6:39:01So you can see here they're working on their ground game.
6:39:01 > 6:39:04This is my favourite bit - it's the big guys.
6:39:04 > 6:39:07They're taking a lot of bumps, so it's really, really noisy.
6:39:07 > 6:39:09They're getting big and they're getting strong.
6:39:09 > 6:39:12I can't believe this, this is where you actually become a Superstar.
6:39:12 > 6:39:14It actually exists.
6:39:14 > 6:39:17A Superstar like Becky Lynch.
6:39:17 > 6:39:21Mum, I'm about to meet a real, live professional wrestler!
6:39:21 > 6:39:23Becky, you are the result of this place, essentially.
6:39:23 > 6:39:26- What does it mean to you? - Oh, it means everything to me.
6:39:26 > 6:39:30This is just an amazing, incredible facility.
6:39:30 > 6:39:32I mean, you look around and you've got seven rings,
6:39:32 > 6:39:36you've got a state-of-the-art gym, you've got a training facility
6:39:36 > 6:39:39where you can go, you're learning from the best minds in the business.
6:39:39 > 6:39:43And, essentially, they took a girl from Ireland who had
6:39:43 > 6:39:47zero belief in herself, whose confidence was down on the ground...
6:39:47 > 6:39:50- Is that right? You didn't believe in yourself?- 100%, 100%.
6:39:50 > 6:39:52And they turned me into a Superstar.
6:39:54 > 6:39:57But one of my favourite parts of this sporting spectacle
6:39:57 > 6:40:02doesn't happen in the ring, it happens on the way to the ring.
6:40:02 > 6:40:05You might just recognise this behind me here,
6:40:05 > 6:40:07because as well as learning the in-ring skills
6:40:07 > 6:40:09they learn the out-of-ring skills as well,
6:40:09 > 6:40:11which starts with their entrance walks.
6:40:11 > 6:40:15They actually practise the entrance walk - the doors would open,
6:40:15 > 6:40:18the music would hit, their video would appear on the screen.
6:40:18 > 6:40:20Imagine this right now...
6:40:21 > 6:40:25Radzi's music hits, the video is playing, and I walk out.
6:40:26 > 6:40:29I get inside the ring, I'm competing at WrestleMania.
6:40:29 > 6:40:31CHEERING
6:40:31 > 6:40:33I want to be a Superstar, please.
6:40:33 > 6:40:38And one of the reasons I'd love to be a wrestler is this man -
6:40:38 > 6:40:41international icon Triple H.
6:40:42 > 6:40:46It's hard to put into words what it is.
6:40:46 > 6:40:48It's the fifth-largest sport in the world,
6:40:48 > 6:40:51that's behind the Olympics, Fifa, the Super Bowl.
6:40:51 > 6:40:53It's up there, you know?
6:40:53 > 6:40:56We're in Orlando this week, it's five sold-out events,
6:40:56 > 6:41:01over probably 140,000 people, you know, have tickets right now.
6:41:01 > 6:41:04We'll do about 75,000 people on Sunday for WrestleMania.
6:41:04 > 6:41:08It is the can't-miss event around the globe.
6:41:08 > 6:41:11At Blue Peter we're all about inspiring people,
6:41:11 > 6:41:12and we think, with what you've done,
6:41:12 > 6:41:15with your incredible legacy both inside and outside the ring,
6:41:15 > 6:41:20- you've earnt your very own Blue Peter badge.- Wow.
6:41:20 > 6:41:24- Blue Peter badge.- And well-earnt. - Now I'm the man.
6:41:24 > 6:41:26- Thank you very much. - Thank you very much.- Appreciate it.
6:41:26 > 6:41:29'That man is a legend.
6:41:29 > 6:41:33'The only way this day could get any better is if I were to get my hands
6:41:33 > 6:41:36'on what all the Superstars are competing for -
6:41:36 > 6:41:39'a championship title belt.
6:41:39 > 6:41:40'Oh, hello!'
6:41:40 > 6:41:44This is genuinely incredible.
6:41:44 > 6:41:46Amazing!
6:41:46 > 6:41:48- Shall I give it a little shine-up? - Absolutely.
6:41:48 > 6:41:52- Please, you'd be doing me a favour. - This looks amazing, by the way.
6:41:53 > 6:41:57What an experience! But it's not done yet.
6:41:57 > 6:42:00I want to make a very special delivery on behalf of Blue Peter

6:43:36 > 6:43:39pretty big sporting superstars, like Usain Bolt, Jonnie Peacock,
6:43:39 > 6:43:41to name just a couple.

6:43:44 > 6:43:46for this amazing BP competition. Well done.
6:43:46 > 6:43:48How do you get from 4,000 down to 30, though?
6:43:48 > 6:43:49That's a tough ask, isn't it?
6:43:49 > 6:43:52Luckily, it wasn't down to us, it was down to our panel of judges,
6:43:52 > 6:43:54and that's exactly what they've done.
6:43:54 > 6:43:56It's been a tough decision, but they're right here in the studio.
6:43:56 > 6:43:59Let's have a look at the runners-up from each category.
6:43:59 > 6:44:02So, first off, as you can see here, we've got the six to eights.
6:44:02 > 6:44:05Now, these are brilliant. Some really creative designs.
6:44:05 > 6:44:07There's colour everywhere, amazing animals they've gone for,
6:44:07 > 6:44:09and some pretty cool names, which I'm liking.
6:44:09 > 6:44:11Dash and Flash in the middle there, I love that.
6:44:11 > 6:44:13The standard's so high, isn't it? Amazing.

6:44:30 > 6:44:31Some brilliant names.
6:44:31 > 6:44:34I love Athegon and Paragon, they're great names, they're dragons.
6:44:34 > 6:44:36You can see that the orange badges are there in the corners -
6:44:36 > 6:44:39that means that you have all won your orange badges. Congratulations.
6:44:39 > 6:44:41If you want to go online to see these 30 runners-up
6:44:41 > 6:44:45up close and personal, go to the BBC website...
6:44:45 > 6:44:48I don't know why I changed my voice then, I just did, for some reason.
6:44:48 > 6:44:52So, to go down from 30 to just one, the winner, what a task that is.
6:44:52 > 6:44:54Fortunately, we had Jessica Ennis-Hill
6:44:54 > 6:44:57and Richard Whitehead to help. But here are the top entries.
6:44:57 > 6:45:00OK, so, the top entry for the six to eights is...
6:45:01 > 6:45:03It's Ellie from Birmingham!
6:45:03 > 6:45:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
6:45:06 > 6:45:08The judges were so impressed by this design.
6:45:08 > 6:45:11They were really impressed by the creativity of it and that
6:45:11 > 6:45:14she draws attention to threatened species - you can see the hedgehog
6:45:14 > 6:45:17there and a bee that's called Whizbee, which they loved.
6:45:17 > 6:45:19- What a good name! - Great names.- Brilliant.
6:45:19 > 6:45:23In our 9 to 11 age category, give it up for Rufus!

6:45:25 > 6:45:27From West Sussex, he designed Track and Field.
6:45:27 > 6:45:30Love the use of colour in this picture, it's very bright,
6:45:30 > 6:45:33beautiful design, and Track and Field are inspired names, Rufus.
6:45:33 > 6:45:36- Well done.- To complete the three, the top entry in
6:45:36 > 6:45:40the 12- to 15-year-old category is Bradley from Nottinghamshire!
6:45:40 > 6:45:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
6:45:44 > 6:45:47The judges absolutely loved your use of ants and especially
6:45:47 > 6:45:51the alliterated names Virtue and Valour. Well done, dude.
6:45:51 > 6:45:54But, of course, there can only be one winner, and that winner
6:45:54 > 6:45:58will have their mascots walking around the games at London 2017.
6:45:58 > 6:46:00- So...- Shall we do it? - Let's do it, yeah.- OK.
6:46:00 > 6:46:07The winner of Blue Peter's London 2017 Mascot Competition is...
6:46:08 > 6:46:10It's Elinor!
6:46:10 > 6:46:14CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
6:46:14 > 6:46:16Here she is!
6:46:16 > 6:46:18Well done, Ellie, welcome to the show.
6:46:18 > 6:46:21So, Elinor, you are currently the envy of every single person
6:46:21 > 6:46:24watching Blue Peter. How does it feel to win a competition?
6:46:24 > 6:46:28- Really good.- Not just that, but the £2 million prize money. I mean...
6:46:28 > 6:46:31- No! No, no, no. - No, that's not true. I made that up.
6:46:31 > 6:46:33Actually, when I first told Elinor that she'd won,
6:46:33 > 6:46:34that was a couple of weeks ago.
6:46:34 > 6:46:38- Should we see your story, Elinor? - Yeah.- Roll it!
6:46:40 > 6:46:46Back in January, we launched the London 2017 Mascot Competition.
6:46:46 > 6:46:49Over 4,000 of your entries came flooding in,
6:46:49 > 6:46:53so the first thing we had to do was narrow them down to a top 30.
6:46:53 > 6:46:56I like the characterisation and I like the sense of story.
6:46:56 > 6:47:00I really like those two names, they work really well together.
6:47:00 > 6:47:03With the 30 selected, it was down to London,
6:47:03 > 6:47:07so our specialist judging panel could pick a winner.
6:47:07 > 6:47:10And these guys are real specialists.
6:47:10 > 6:47:14Paralympic, World and European gold medallist Richard Whitehead.
6:47:14 > 6:47:16Today with the mascot design,
6:47:16 > 6:47:19I'm looking for something very creative, enthusiastic, colourful,
6:47:19 > 6:47:23that will represent us on the track at the world championships.
6:47:23 > 6:47:26And Olympic triple World and European champion
6:47:26 > 6:47:28Jessica Ennis-Hill.
6:47:28 > 6:47:30I think a good mascot would be really unique,
6:47:30 > 6:47:33bright and colourful, and most of all, really, really sporty.
6:47:36 > 6:47:41And they were joined by bigwigs from London 2017 and Blue Peter.
6:47:41 > 6:47:43Judging was so tough.
6:47:43 > 6:47:46The panel were blown away by the standard of the entries.
6:47:46 > 6:47:50And with the eyes of the athletics world on the mascots this summer,
6:47:50 > 6:47:51they had to get it right.
6:47:53 > 6:47:55I see that working very well.
6:47:55 > 6:47:58I see that, colourful-wise, working very well.
6:47:58 > 6:48:00So, I was really leaning towards this one.
6:48:00 > 6:48:03Whether you could still have that with the last one... Oh!
6:48:03 > 6:48:07- I can take that one out. - OK, so that's my favourite again.
6:48:07 > 6:48:09I'll probably go one, two, three.
6:48:09 > 6:48:14After hours of heated debate, they made their decision.
6:48:14 > 6:48:18- Are we all agreed?- Yes.- And I think they'll both make brilliant mascots.
6:48:18 > 6:48:22They loved Ellie's entry, and the creativity and imagination
6:48:22 > 6:48:27she showed by designing Hero the hedgehog and Whizbee the bee.
6:48:27 > 6:48:31And it was down to me to deliver the good news.
6:48:31 > 6:48:34This is the house of our competition winner, Elinor.
6:48:34 > 6:48:36She has no idea that we're here.
6:48:36 > 6:48:39She's just come back from school and hopefully she hasn't seen us.
6:48:39 > 6:48:41I can't wait to see her face!
6:48:46 > 6:48:49- Hello, Elinor!- Hello!
6:48:49 > 6:48:51- How are you?- Very well.
6:48:51 > 6:48:55You're eating a banana, so you're obviously good.
6:48:55 > 6:48:59Our judges have decided that you're our winner.
6:48:59 > 6:49:01- How are you feeling?- Happy.
6:49:03 > 6:49:06So, we've actually got the two designs that you sent in.
6:49:06 > 6:49:10They look fantastic. Can you tell me about your designs?
6:49:10 > 6:49:13I just had this picture in my mind of a hedgehog running,
6:49:13 > 6:49:18but when I drew it, it took me ages to do the final design.
6:49:18 > 6:49:21I chose them because they're both endangered species.
6:49:21 > 6:49:25And the fact that they're survivors as well is incredible.
6:49:25 > 6:49:30We think that you deserve your very own orange Blue Peter badge.
6:49:30 > 6:49:32- That's for you, Elinor.- Thank you.
6:49:34 > 6:49:37'But Ellie will be getting more than an orange badge -
6:49:37 > 6:49:40'she'll get to see her designs turned into the mascots
6:49:40 > 6:49:44'for London 2017, and they'll be doing that here.
6:49:44 > 6:49:47'So, a few weeks later, we visit the factory
6:49:47 > 6:49:49'to see how they're getting on.
6:49:49 > 6:49:53'And we begin by seeing the final designs,
6:49:53 > 6:49:55'inspired by her characters.'
6:49:58 > 6:50:01Look at that! What do you think, Ellie?
6:50:01 > 6:50:03It's really good.
6:50:03 > 6:50:07'Hero the hedgehog is for the IAAF Championships
6:50:07 > 6:50:12'and Whizbee the bee the World Para Athletics Championships.'
6:50:12 > 6:50:15They are brilliant.
6:50:15 > 6:50:19'But we're not done yet - these designs need to be turned into
6:50:19 > 6:50:24'real-life wearable costumes, and they're being made while we're here,
6:50:24 > 6:50:28'so costume designer Crispin could use our help.'
6:50:28 > 6:50:30What we've got here is two pattern pieces,
6:50:30 > 6:50:32and we need both bits cutting out twice.
6:50:32 > 6:50:36So, once on the left-hand side and once on the right-hand side.
6:50:36 > 6:50:37Draw around the pieces for us, yeah?
6:50:37 > 6:50:40And once you've got them pinned together we'll need you to
6:50:40 > 6:50:42very carefully cut these pieces out.
6:50:42 > 6:50:45- So, I'm going to leave you to get on with that...- Thank you.
6:50:45 > 6:50:47..and I'll see you soon.
6:50:47 > 6:50:50'Ellie is actually getting to make a small part of the Whizbee costume
6:50:50 > 6:50:56'she inspired. And Crispin's really impressed with her handiwork.
6:50:56 > 6:50:58'She's a natural! Unlike me.'
6:50:58 > 6:51:01Crispin, can I just explain?
6:51:01 > 6:51:05- I thought it would be good for a bit of extra ventilation.- Oh, OK...
6:51:05 > 6:51:06Yeah, I just thought...
6:51:06 > 6:51:09I'm not really 100% that's what we were trying to aim for,
6:51:09 > 6:51:12but I think we've got some perfect pieces here that Ellie
6:51:12 > 6:51:16- has done and, Radzi, well, we can figure something out.- It's a work...
6:51:16 > 6:51:18- Yeah.- It's a work in progress.- Yeah.
6:51:18 > 6:51:20- Just another little stitch line. - Yeah.
6:51:20 > 6:51:21'I'll leave it to Ellie.'
6:51:21 > 6:51:24Ellie, the good news is Crispin likes your work.
6:51:24 > 6:51:28The next time we see that fabric, it will be on the finished mascot
6:51:28 > 6:51:31of Whizbee right next to Hero, and we are very excited.
6:51:34 > 6:51:37So, let's give a very special Blue Peter welcome to
6:51:37 > 6:51:41Elinor's mascots, Whizbee and Hero!
6:51:41 > 6:51:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
6:51:45 > 6:51:49- Hello, guys!- Amazing.- Hero and Whizbee, welcome to Blue Peter.
6:51:49 > 6:51:51You look amazing. I want a Blue Peter badge that big.
6:51:51 > 6:51:53- It's awesome, isn't it? - That's awesome.
6:51:53 > 6:51:56Guys, do you like the design that Ellie came up with for you?
6:51:56 > 6:51:58- They seem happy.- Oh, yeah! - They seem pleased, Ellie.
6:51:58 > 6:52:00But this isn't the first time that you've met,
6:52:00 > 6:52:03because this morning you were on BBC Breakfast News and also Newsround.
6:52:03 > 6:52:05Take a look at this.
6:52:15 > 6:52:17First up, nearest to us here, who's this?
6:52:17 > 6:52:19- That's Hero.- OK.
6:52:37 > 6:52:40It actually gets even better, because top entries
6:52:40 > 6:52:43Bradley, Rufus and Elinor all get to go to the games themselves.
6:52:43 > 6:52:45With that in mind, Elinor,
6:52:45 > 6:52:47who are you most looking forward to seeing at the games?
6:52:47 > 6:52:50- Usain Bolt.- Usain Bolt! - It's understandable.
6:52:50 > 6:52:52- You're probably the same, aren't you, Radz?- Absolutely.- Yeah.
6:52:52 > 6:52:55It's amazing that you've created these mascots behind us and
6:52:55 > 6:52:57they're now part of a big mission to get everyone excited about
6:52:57 > 6:53:00the biggest sporting event of the year. You should be very proud.
