0:00:53 > 0:00:54Lindsey and I are going to be making
0:00:54 > 0:00:57some very special Hollywood celebrity Minion muffins.
0:00:57 > 0:01:01As well as that, animal expert Scott is here with his furry friend
0:01:01 > 0:01:03- there and some other Hollywood superstars.- I like Scott.
0:01:03 > 0:01:06And with the Queen's Club tennis Championships happening, well,
0:01:06 > 0:01:11right now, I take on a challenge with superstar John Isner.
0:01:11 > 0:01:14- And, on the topic...- Found her.
0:01:14 > 0:01:17It never gets old, does it? It genuinely never gets old.
0:01:17 > 0:01:20- You made him angry there. - Every week! Jump on to the fan club.
0:01:20 > 0:01:22See if you can spot Shelley straightaway. If you are the
0:01:22 > 0:01:24first person to see her, or even if you're not,
0:01:24 > 0:01:26leave a comment, we might shout you out at the end.
0:01:26 > 0:01:30Sticking with the VIP theme, if you head online to the BP website,
0:01:30 > 0:01:32you will find out what happened when we met the makers of
0:01:32 > 0:01:36Transformers the movie and showed them your epic robot makes.
0:01:36 > 0:01:37Here's a sneaky peeky.
0:01:38 > 0:01:42Rebecca has invented a robot which can play music wherever you are and
0:01:42 > 0:01:46- has a dance floor that can retract. - Rebecca?
0:01:46 > 0:01:50- That might be an idea that I might patent myself.- Oh, my gosh.
0:01:50 > 0:01:54- It's the shape shifter.- These are great Transformers and if they make
0:01:54 > 0:01:56- a sixth one, I want both of these in it.- Yes.
0:01:56 > 0:02:01It can transform into an oven so you can bake cakes whenever
0:02:01 > 0:02:04- you want them.- Wait, that's awesome.
0:02:04 > 0:02:07Thank you so much, you guys, for these drawings, they're amazing.
0:02:09 > 0:02:13How cool was that? Now, Transformers isn't the only film
0:02:13 > 0:02:14we are excited about this summer.
0:02:14 > 0:02:16Oh, no, you can check the rest of that on the Blue Peter
0:02:16 > 0:02:18website, but, in the meantime,
0:02:18 > 0:02:21Barney and I have been inspired, haven't we, Barns?
0:02:21 > 0:02:23- Yes, we have.- Stop eating the ingredients.- It wasn't me.
0:02:23 > 0:02:27We are going to turn these into this. How are we going to do that?
0:02:27 > 0:02:30Well, in honour of Despicable Me 3 coming out into the cinema
0:02:30 > 0:02:32screens, we thought we would make some Minion muffins.
0:02:32 > 0:02:35Now, all the ingredients that you are about to see make 12 muffins.
0:02:35 > 0:02:37We are going to give you a quick flash of them
0:02:37 > 0:02:40but we are not going to read them because that is like well boring.
0:02:40 > 0:02:43But you're going to need three ripe bananas and if you want to find out
0:02:43 > 0:02:45what everything else is, head online and you'll see it all.
0:02:45 > 0:02:48- You're being naughty today.- No! - Stop eating those bananas.
0:02:48 > 0:02:50For the decorations, you're going to need the following.
0:02:50 > 0:02:52Again, you can find a whole list on the website.
0:02:52 > 0:02:55Again, more bananas. Yeah, loads of bananas today.
0:02:55 > 0:02:58White chocolate, food colouring... Barney please stop eating chocolate.
0:02:58 > 0:03:01Let's get started. The first thing you need to do is preheat the oven.
0:03:01 > 0:03:04- It needs to be on 200 degrees. - It's not a real oven by the way.
0:03:04 > 0:03:06So, I am going to go and do that now. Get a grown-up to help...
0:03:06 > 0:03:10- What is he doing?- Nothing, I'm mashing bananas.- Stop it.- What?
0:03:10 > 0:03:11- The oven is on.- The oven is on?
0:03:11 > 0:03:14Oh, great, we'll cook some stuff in it in a minute then.
0:03:14 > 0:03:16Right, I am going to mash these bananas because you need to
0:03:16 > 0:03:18to make the muffins nice and moist.
0:03:18 > 0:03:20Only three bananas, though, there is six in total.
0:03:20 > 0:03:22- It's going to be a fun show. - This is going to be good.
0:03:22 > 0:03:25Six in total, but, you only want three to mash because you need three
0:03:25 > 0:03:26to decorate in a bit, so don't mash
0:03:26 > 0:03:29- them all is what I'm trying to say to you.- Yeah, well said, Barney.
0:03:29 > 0:03:32The next thing you need to do is grab your melted butter,
0:03:32 > 0:03:35plonk that into the bowl, ours has gone a bit...
0:03:35 > 0:03:37- Great cooking terms here, Linz. - What, plonk?
0:03:37 > 0:03:39- Grab and plonk. - Grab and plonk, it's easy.
0:03:39 > 0:03:42Once that's in there, get your eggs, do the same,
0:03:42 > 0:03:46plonk those in and then mix those together like so.
0:03:48 > 0:03:51- I've practised. - Have you?- Yes, there we go. Lovely.
0:03:51 > 0:03:55OK, the next thing you need to do is add a bit of flour, I say
0:03:55 > 0:04:00a bit, a massive bowl, and then do the same with some sugar and
0:04:00 > 0:04:04do the same with a bit of baking powder. There we go.
0:04:04 > 0:04:06And then, mix all of that together as well.
0:04:06 > 0:04:10- Stop eating the chocolate chips. - Pipe down, you're not my mum.
0:04:10 > 0:04:11Yes!
0:04:12 > 0:04:15Right, keep mixing that, it does take a little while.
0:04:15 > 0:04:18Oh, sorry, I have just thrown some off the table.
0:04:18 > 0:04:20I might be able to help you here because you need to make it as
0:04:20 > 0:04:23- moist as possible. So let's chuck some banana in there.- We do.
0:04:23 > 0:04:26- That's what this is for, by the way. - Get that banana in there.
0:04:26 > 0:04:27- Oh, sorry.- Give that a good old mix.
0:04:27 > 0:04:30So, while you're doing that, I can talk about the next step
0:04:30 > 0:04:34which is to get a baking tray that is lined with these blue cases.
0:04:34 > 0:04:38- You ready for the chips yet? - I am, yes.- Are you sure?- Just about.
0:04:38 > 0:04:42- OK, don't forget it's 100g, sorry, 90g.- Come on, get those in there.
0:04:42 > 0:04:44Perfect. Oh, they are starting to look good.
0:04:44 > 0:04:46It actually smells amazing and, actually,
0:04:46 > 0:04:49- genuinely tastes really nice too.- OK, here we go.
0:04:49 > 0:04:52- We have explained what to do, I think, enough there.- OK.
0:04:52 > 0:04:55Then, nice and neatly just...
0:04:55 > 0:04:56Get that in there.
0:04:56 > 0:05:00A spoon would help, Barns, if you want to pass me that.
0:05:00 > 0:05:03- No, I want to watch you struggle. - OK, it's in, nice and neat.
0:05:03 > 0:05:06- Beautifully done. And then where does that go?- It goes in the oven.
0:05:06 > 0:05:09- Where nothing happens. - Let me grab...
0:05:09 > 0:05:12- OK, right, then, we need to decorate our bananas, don't we?- We do.
0:05:12 > 0:05:15Let me get these in here.
0:05:15 > 0:05:18There they are. And then, Oh, I can't reach.
0:05:18 > 0:05:21- No, no, Barney!- It's not a real oven. It's not a real oven, everyone
0:05:21 > 0:05:24knows that. Everyone knows, I don't know why we are pretending.
0:05:24 > 0:05:26But if you are going to use a real oven,
0:05:26 > 0:05:29use oven gloves, it's common sense.
0:05:29 > 0:05:32OK, right, we are going to decorate our bananas.
0:05:32 > 0:05:35Right, once you have let those cool down because they are scorching hot!
0:05:35 > 0:05:37LAUGHTER
0:05:37 > 0:05:40- I'm just going to go down here. - Right, watch what I'm doing, please.
0:05:40 > 0:05:42We are decorating the bananas with white chocolate which we have
0:05:42 > 0:05:45put yellow food colouring into. You need a spoon so you can give me
0:05:45 > 0:05:48a little bit of a space for the banana, please.
0:05:48 > 0:05:50Right, to scoop a little hollow out of the middle,
0:05:50 > 0:05:53you just kind of create a square shape like so and get it out.
0:05:53 > 0:05:56Now, we don't actually need this bit so you can eat that.
0:05:56 > 0:05:57I am all over this, it's brilliant.
0:05:57 > 0:06:00- OK.- When you have covered your bananas in white chocolate,
0:06:00 > 0:06:02and don't talk with your mouth full, it's rude,
0:06:02 > 0:06:04you want to put these into the fridge and let them set for
0:06:04 > 0:06:08about two hours and then when they come out, they will look like this.
0:06:08 > 0:06:10These look good and they taste amazing, by the way.
0:06:10 > 0:06:12- The really, really do. - We should say.
0:06:12 > 0:06:14- We need to decorate them, don't we?- Oh, we do indeed.
0:06:14 > 0:06:17- I can't do everything. - The next thing is bring up some...
0:06:17 > 0:06:20I have made here a bit of icing,
0:06:20 > 0:06:22- pre-rolled icing with little googly eyes.- Water?
0:06:22 > 0:06:26Now, I have got a little bit of water down here, somewhere, here
0:06:26 > 0:06:30in a little bowl like so and all you need to do is use that as the glue.
0:06:30 > 0:06:33So, there you go. It almost acts as a little glue.
0:06:33 > 0:06:36Plonk it onto your banana like so and then I have made
0:06:36 > 0:06:40a little grin as well because we want our minions happy.
0:06:40 > 0:06:43There's a grin. Looking good, and then, once that is done,
0:06:43 > 0:06:47- you can get it in to your hollow like so.- It's wicked, isn't it?
0:06:47 > 0:06:50And then, grab your sticks as well, get those in, and obviously,
0:06:50 > 0:06:52we have pre-cut out our little hands there and it's really,
0:06:52 > 0:06:55- it's starting to come together. - It's really good.
0:06:55 > 0:06:57You can add some bits round the side as well to add a bit of detail,
0:06:57 > 0:07:00you can use butter cream if you want to or you can use chocolate spread.
0:07:00 > 0:07:02There are different characters in here.
0:07:02 > 0:07:03You don't have to make Minions.
0:07:03 > 0:07:06We have got Red here from Angry Birds, that's with a strawberry
0:07:06 > 0:07:09dipped in chocolate, and you can see Mike there from Monsters, Inc.
0:07:09 > 0:07:12He is a kiwi on the inside. They are very tasty, very nice to make,
0:07:12 > 0:07:15very easy, all the details that you need are on the website,
0:07:15 > 0:07:17- go and check it out and go. - Yeah. I think we did well there.
0:07:17 > 0:07:19- That's my favourite one ever. - Yeah, me too.
0:07:19 > 0:07:21Now, of course, we love Minions, we love makes,
0:07:21 > 0:07:25but two people who love Minions even more than that are the stars
0:07:25 > 0:07:27of the brand-new Despicable Me 3 movie.
0:07:27 > 0:07:29That's Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig, and I went along
0:07:29 > 0:07:32and I took the Minion cupcake with me.
0:07:33 > 0:07:37- Oh, my gosh.- Oh, wow! - Now, they did look amazing...
0:07:37 > 0:07:40- No, they look amazing. That is so cool.- There's one for you.
0:07:40 > 0:07:43- Thank you.- What is the little Minion made out of?- Your eye fell off.
0:07:43 > 0:07:46- That's OK.- I am so sorry about that.
0:07:46 > 0:07:49- Aren't they great?- It looks like he is drowning.- In mud.
0:07:49 > 0:07:51I love it.
0:07:51 > 0:07:54- He's drowning in chocolate. - This is so sweet and cute.
0:07:54 > 0:07:57- I love these, this is such a good idea.- It's good, isn't it?
0:07:57 > 0:07:59And we are showing everyone how to make their very own so,
0:07:59 > 0:08:01they are pretty great.
0:08:01 > 0:08:02See? They loved them.
0:08:02 > 0:08:05On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy that interview?
0:08:05 > 0:08:07Best day of my life, I love Kristen Wiig so much.
0:08:07 > 0:08:08The rest of the interview is on
0:08:08 > 0:08:10the BP website so make sure you head there.
0:08:10 > 0:08:13- Stop eating.- Now, though, anyone for a spot of tennis?
0:08:16 > 0:08:19Welcome to the Queen's Club in London.
0:08:19 > 0:08:21It is host to one of the most historic tournaments in
0:08:21 > 0:08:25the tennis calendar - the Queen's Club Championships -
0:08:25 > 0:08:29and attract some megastars of the sport. Now, I am not one of them.
0:08:29 > 0:08:33But, I'm here today because I have been set a Blue Peter challenge.
0:08:33 > 0:08:37I wonder what it could be? Perhaps I will be mowing the grass.
0:08:37 > 0:08:39It's quite straightforward.
0:08:39 > 0:08:43I know! I will be polishing one of the trophies, because...
0:08:43 > 0:08:45Hang on a minute.
0:08:46 > 0:08:52Have tennis balls hit at you really hard? Guys, you cannot be serious.
0:08:54 > 0:08:57I think they are serious.
0:08:57 > 0:09:00I am going to be taking on one of the most important parts of
0:09:00 > 0:09:03the game - the serve.
0:09:03 > 0:09:07The serve is the powerful shot used at the start of each point.
0:09:07 > 0:09:11My challenge is to see how many serves from a tennis professional
0:09:11 > 0:09:14I can hit back or return.
0:09:14 > 0:09:18And it's a good, strong return that I am looking for today.
0:09:18 > 0:09:22That and a bit of bravery because I am about to go face-to-face
0:09:22 > 0:09:25with one of the world's fastest servers.
0:09:27 > 0:09:32John Isner is internationally recognised as a serving machine.
0:09:32 > 0:09:39At full power, he can make the ball travel at over 150mph,
0:09:39 > 0:09:42which is more than twice the speed limit on the motorway.
0:09:42 > 0:09:45I think I'm going to need a bit of help.
0:09:45 > 0:09:47Fortunately, I know just the place.
0:09:47 > 0:09:51This is the National Tennis Centre, training hub for some of
0:09:51 > 0:09:54the country's biggest tennis talents, and I'm getting
0:09:54 > 0:09:58a crash course in returning super-quick serves from my coach.
0:09:58 > 0:10:00- Lovely to meet you.- Radzi. Pleasure.
0:10:00 > 0:10:03- So I will be trying to return a serve.- Yeah.- What do I need
0:10:03 > 0:10:05to be able to do that?
0:10:05 > 0:10:07We have got to use a lot of reflexes and we have got to use a tell.
0:10:07 > 0:10:10We've got to try and figure out when the server is serving wide and
0:10:10 > 0:10:11when they are serving down the T
0:10:11 > 0:10:14which is down the middle of the court.
0:10:14 > 0:10:17- A tell?- A tell. Looking at the server.
0:10:17 > 0:10:20Majority of servers will have a tell when they're serving wide
0:10:20 > 0:10:21or when they're serving to the T.
0:10:21 > 0:10:23The quicker you can figure that out,
0:10:23 > 0:10:25the more chance you have of surviving that serve.
0:10:25 > 0:10:27And it's going to be a big serve.
0:10:27 > 0:10:29Well, one of the biggest serves,
0:10:29 > 0:10:31if not THE biggest serve in the game right now.
0:10:31 > 0:10:34- Oh, dear. I'd better get started! - Pressure.
0:10:34 > 0:10:35- Let's do it!- Let's do this.
0:10:35 > 0:10:37Start nice and wide.
0:10:37 > 0:10:40I need your elbows out in front of you. Good, fantastic.
0:10:40 > 0:10:44So, this is what it's going to feel like for you.
0:10:44 > 0:10:46Elbows in front a bit more.
0:10:46 > 0:10:49Better. That's the best one yet. And again.
0:10:49 > 0:10:53I've played tennis before, but not at John Isner's speed.
0:10:53 > 0:10:57So, my coach wants me to focus on where the serve will be going
0:10:57 > 0:10:59before it's even hit.
0:10:59 > 0:11:02Normally, a player will be serving towards two o'clock
0:11:02 > 0:11:06when they're going wide. With Isner, it's a little bit more difficult.
0:11:06 > 0:11:11One of the big parts of Isner's game is his height. He's huge!
0:11:11 > 0:11:15So, the ball comes down a long way which makes it very hard to hit.
0:11:15 > 0:11:18Because he's so tall, he doesn't have to throw it out so wide.
0:11:18 > 0:11:21He will still throw it out a little wide,
0:11:21 > 0:11:22and that's what you've got to look for.
0:11:22 > 0:11:24What could possibly go wrong?
0:11:24 > 0:11:25HE EXHALES
0:11:25 > 0:11:28I'm not sure you really want to ask me that.
0:11:28 > 0:11:32Well, that's encouraging! I could be in trouble here.
0:11:32 > 0:11:34Thankfully, back at Queen's,
0:11:34 > 0:11:36I bump into a man who also knows how to serve.
0:11:38 > 0:11:40Did you see how fast that was?
0:11:40 > 0:11:43James Ward famously beat John Isner
0:11:43 > 0:11:46to seal the Davis Cup for Great Britain in 2015.
0:11:46 > 0:11:50So, he's the perfect man to give me some advice.
0:11:50 > 0:11:52James, lovely to meet you.
0:11:52 > 0:11:55I'm going to attempt to take on John Isner's serve.
0:11:55 > 0:11:57What does his serve actually feel like?
0:11:57 > 0:12:00Look at the size of him. He can put it anywhere.
0:12:00 > 0:12:01He can literally place it short,
0:12:01 > 0:12:03put it long, bounce it over your head if he wants.
0:12:03 > 0:12:07Sometimes, it can come down to a bit of a guessing game, really.
0:12:07 > 0:12:10But I found stepping in, trying to take it early, cut the angle off
0:12:10 > 0:12:11was the way forward.
0:12:11 > 0:12:14So, James thinks I should stand closer to the net,
0:12:14 > 0:12:17which means I have more chance of reaching the ball at either side.
0:12:20 > 0:12:23So, essentially, the top tip that the man who beat him is giving me
0:12:23 > 0:12:25is to run at the ball?!
0:12:25 > 0:12:29Yeah, not so much run at it, but definitely take a step forward
0:12:29 > 0:12:31and maybe just stay on the base line.
0:12:31 > 0:12:33Well, thank you very much indeed. I'll take all of your advice,
0:12:33 > 0:12:36and I'll keep my fingers very much crossed.
0:12:36 > 0:12:38This is going to be hard.
0:12:38 > 0:12:39Cross everything.
0:12:39 > 0:12:44I'll be facing ten serves from one of the best in the business.
0:12:44 > 0:12:46My aim, to return as many as possible...
0:12:48 > 0:12:50..or just to make it out in one piece.
0:12:50 > 0:12:53- John, lovely to meet you. - Great to meet you.
0:12:53 > 0:12:55You are a very tall man. How tall are you?
0:12:55 > 0:12:58- I'm about 6'10, 6'11. - Almost seven foot!
0:12:58 > 0:12:59Almost seven foot, that's right.
0:12:59 > 0:13:02- And you're also incredibly good at serving.- Yeah, that's it.
0:13:02 > 0:13:05If there's anything I can do, it's serve. That's what I'm good at.
0:13:05 > 0:13:08- What's your fastest ever serve? - Pretty fast.
0:13:08 > 0:13:12Actually, two years ago, I set the world record, 156mph.
0:13:12 > 0:13:14That is beyond comprehension.
0:13:14 > 0:13:16That's incredible.
0:13:16 > 0:13:19Well, I'm going to try and take you on. Will you go easy on me?
0:13:19 > 0:13:22Errr... I can't promise you that...?
0:13:22 > 0:13:24Oh, dear!
0:13:24 > 0:13:26156mph!
0:13:26 > 0:13:28Are you kidding me!
0:13:28 > 0:13:33If I can get just one of those back, I will be absolutely delighted.
0:13:33 > 0:13:34Let's do it.
0:13:34 > 0:13:36Here we go.
0:13:36 > 0:13:38Oh, my...
0:13:38 > 0:13:42- That's... That's fine. That's fine. - Just missed it.- That's one down.
0:13:42 > 0:13:44I did not have a clue what just happened then.
0:13:44 > 0:13:45Unbelievable!
0:13:45 > 0:13:47I knew this would be fast,
0:13:47 > 0:13:49but I could barely see that!
0:13:49 > 0:13:50And John's only warming up!
0:13:51 > 0:13:53Second one.
0:13:54 > 0:13:56Well, I hit it!
0:13:56 > 0:13:57Third.
0:13:57 > 0:13:59Hit it again. Way off target.
0:14:01 > 0:14:03Forth! Come on, Radzi.
0:14:03 > 0:14:07I'm trying to work out where he'll put it. Stepping in...
0:14:07 > 0:14:08And then...
0:14:11 > 0:14:14- Look at that!- Got one in! I got one in!
0:14:14 > 0:14:16I hit it! I actually hit it!
0:14:16 > 0:14:18I can't believe it!
0:14:18 > 0:14:20Oh, no, he's just stepped it up a gear.
0:14:22 > 0:14:24Serve five's even faster.
0:14:24 > 0:14:26He doesn't mess around with six either.
0:14:26 > 0:14:28That was a good serve, if I may say.
0:14:29 > 0:14:32That's what you call an "ace" by the way, but you know what,
0:14:32 > 0:14:33I've returned one.
0:14:33 > 0:14:35Why not another?
0:14:38 > 0:14:39Oh!
0:14:39 > 0:14:41I didn't see this coming.
0:14:41 > 0:14:43Can I build on it?
0:14:43 > 0:14:45No! Nearly in! Oh, it didn't.
0:14:45 > 0:14:46OK, not that time.
0:14:46 > 0:14:49- All right, two big'uns.- Two big'uns.
0:14:52 > 0:14:55I may have jumped out of the way.
0:14:55 > 0:14:57Last serve. Give this everything.
0:14:59 > 0:15:00Look at that!
0:15:00 > 0:15:03Oh! It's in!
0:15:03 > 0:15:05If you told me I would return three out of ten,
0:15:05 > 0:15:08I would have been over the moon and I am!
0:15:08 > 0:15:11Can we give this man a round of applause?
0:15:11 > 0:15:12- You're good!- Oh, what a privilege!
0:15:12 > 0:15:15- Do you play much?- Not at all! You were very, very kind to me,
0:15:15 > 0:15:17I know you weren't going nearly as fast as you could...
0:15:17 > 0:15:18No, that one I hit out wide,
0:15:18 > 0:15:21sometimes it's not about the speed, it's all about the placement.
0:15:21 > 0:15:23For the most part, I thought you acquitted yourself well.
0:15:23 > 0:15:25- I was very impressed. - What a great guy.
0:15:25 > 0:15:27But this challenge has really taken its toll.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30I'll never forget it and I don't think my racket will either.
0:15:30 > 0:15:32Because there's not a lot left of it!
0:15:35 > 0:15:39I love Queens! Did you see how tall John was, by the way?
0:15:39 > 0:15:41- Erm...Linds...- Yeah?
0:15:41 > 0:15:44- What are you doing?- Do you like our height difference, Radz?
0:15:44 > 0:15:47- You're on two steps, Linds. Please come down.- I am on two steps.
0:15:47 > 0:15:48That's what we're actually like.
0:15:48 > 0:15:51Now, we've been getting excited about this summer's blockbusters,
0:15:51 > 0:15:54so we invited in a few animals that found fame on the silver screen.
0:15:54 > 0:15:57I've got to go, I can see a meerkat, goodbye!
0:15:57 > 0:15:59On that note, give it up for animal expert, Scott!
0:15:59 > 0:16:02CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:16:02 > 0:16:06Scott, I'm already in hysterics. Who have you brought along today?
0:16:06 > 0:16:07Well, of course, we've got our meerkats.
0:16:07 > 0:16:10What film do you think they're going to be out of?
0:16:10 > 0:16:13- I just love them, I'm guessing the Lion King.- Yeah, of course.
0:16:13 > 0:16:16- We've got some little Timons! - We have indeed. Now,
0:16:16 > 0:16:19as you can see, I've got one that is being a bit of a lookout.
0:16:19 > 0:16:21Do you fancy having a hold of one of them?
0:16:21 > 0:16:24- I would love to!- Both hands, fully.- Do I just take him?
0:16:24 > 0:16:28- Hello, mate! Ooh! Ooh! - Give him a little cuddle.
0:16:28 > 0:16:31I'm afraid I will drop him. How is he doing? Is he happy there?
0:16:31 > 0:16:35I think he looks happy, he's having a little cuddle in with you there.
0:16:35 > 0:16:38Oh, they're quite stinky. So, tell me about these amazing animals.
0:16:38 > 0:16:41Well, meerkats are amazing and have to live in a very harsh environment,
0:16:41 > 0:16:43in the Kalahari Desert in Africa.
0:16:43 > 0:16:46The reasoned they're actually so successful there is they're very
0:16:46 > 0:16:50- good at working as a team.- I can see that.- They live in family groups,
0:16:50 > 0:16:52take it in turns to forage, look after babies and the
0:16:52 > 0:16:55most important job, as you saw him do when you first came on,
0:16:55 > 0:16:57is looking out for danger.
0:16:57 > 0:16:59So, he's standing on his back legs, looking out for danger.
0:16:59 > 0:17:02And the reason they can do that is they, of course, wear sunglasses
0:17:02 > 0:17:05- as it's so sunny.- What do you mean? This one is not wearing sunglasses!
0:17:05 > 0:17:08Well, meerkats are quite lucky, they don't have to buy sunglasses
0:17:08 > 0:17:11like us. They're actually born with sunglasses already on their face.
0:17:11 > 0:17:14- No!- If you look around his eyes, you can see he's got a pair of built-in
0:17:14 > 0:17:16sunglasses and black bands around his eyes.
0:17:16 > 0:17:19- He's giving you a little massage there.- Is he?
0:17:19 > 0:17:22Is that what he's doing? Just checking out my dungarees,
0:17:22 > 0:17:25I love it. So, they probably wouldn't... Are you OK?
0:17:25 > 0:17:27They probably wouldn't hang out with a warthog like Pumbaa,
0:17:27 > 0:17:30- like in the film, would they? - They probably wouldn't go off on
0:17:30 > 0:17:33their own with a warthog, no. And actually, they don't even come
0:17:33 > 0:17:36from exactly the same range but meerkats are a type of mongoose
0:17:36 > 0:17:39and mongooses and warthogs do actually have
0:17:39 > 0:17:42- quite a good relationship in the wild.- Really?
0:17:42 > 0:17:45Yeah, as you can see here. So, the mongoose actually cleans all the
0:17:45 > 0:17:49pests and bugs off the warthog, so it keeps him nice and clean.
0:17:49 > 0:17:51And in return, they get to eat all of them bugs.
0:17:51 > 0:17:54So they get a tasty snack out of it.
0:17:54 > 0:17:56I'm giggling just because I'm being tickled on the neck
0:17:56 > 0:17:58by this lovely meerkat.
0:17:58 > 0:18:01I know we've got another animal, so I'm going to have to
0:18:01 > 0:18:04give him back. I'm so sad to say goodbye. See you later, mate.
0:18:04 > 0:18:08- So, what have we got next, Scott? - Well, if you pop over to the table,
0:18:08 > 0:18:10you can look at one of the most famous fish in the movies...
0:18:10 > 0:18:13OK, let's have a look...
0:18:13 > 0:18:16Ah, we've got some little Nemos from Finding Nemo
0:18:16 > 0:18:18and of course Finding Dory. Hey, Nemos!
0:18:18 > 0:18:21Yes, some very famous little fish, these are clownfish.
0:18:21 > 0:18:23And they have a very special relationship,
0:18:23 > 0:18:25a symbiotic relationship, with an anemone,
0:18:25 > 0:18:28- which is what we've got in here. - An-em-on-e.- That's the one.
0:18:28 > 0:18:32So, they'll actually live inside it and although the anemone would sting
0:18:32 > 0:18:35any other fish, they have a special mucus on their skin so they can swim
0:18:35 > 0:18:37inside it and live inside it.
0:18:37 > 0:18:40And that happens in the film, doesn't it? Nemo doesn't get stung!
0:18:40 > 0:18:43That happens inside it. The anemone gives the fish protection
0:18:43 > 0:18:46and in return, the fish clean the anemone and also feed it with waste.
0:18:46 > 0:18:50- I love them! Can I hold one, Scott? - Maybe not.- Not this time.
0:18:50 > 0:18:52But another cool fact for you, Lindsey,
0:18:52 > 0:18:57- all clownfish are born boys.- Really? How does that work?
0:18:57 > 0:19:00The most dominant fish in a pack becomes a female,
0:19:00 > 0:19:02so they turn from a male to a female.
0:19:02 > 0:19:06- So, when Nemo's mum died...- The dad would've become the mum.
0:19:06 > 0:19:09The mum! That's a good fact. We like that.
0:19:09 > 0:19:11Now, it's time for our next animal.
0:19:11 > 0:19:14I can already see her just coming in. Oh, my goodness, Scott.
0:19:14 > 0:19:18- Who is this?- Well, the star of films like Fantastic Mr Fox or Zootopia,
0:19:18 > 0:19:21- we've got of course, a baby silver fox.- Can I cuddle it, please?
0:19:21 > 0:19:25- You can have a cuddle.- Hello! Welcome to Blue Peter!
0:19:25 > 0:19:29- Now, foxes are usually portrayed as a sly animal in films.- Yes.
0:19:29 > 0:19:32And there's a little bit of truth in it because they are extremely clever
0:19:32 > 0:19:36and very good at doing things and very good at surviving,
0:19:36 > 0:19:38and you can find them in hot deserts,
0:19:38 > 0:19:41in freezing cold, snowy places and even in city centres, like London.
0:19:41 > 0:19:44Oh, yeah, I was going to say because you do see them in cities.
0:19:44 > 0:19:46But this doesn't look like the red ones you see.
0:19:46 > 0:19:49No, so, this is a silver fox, so he's got a recessive gene
0:19:49 > 0:19:52that means he gets black fur instead of red fur,
0:19:52 > 0:19:55- a little bit like people might have ginger hair or something.- Oh, I see.
0:19:55 > 0:19:58And you can't go up to them and just pet them like this, can you?
0:19:58 > 0:20:01You shouldn't go up to one in the wild because, of course,
0:20:01 > 0:20:04they're a wild animal and foxes have extremely sharp teeth.
0:20:04 > 0:20:07He's got the cutest little fluffiest tail. What's that for?
0:20:07 > 0:20:09Well, these guys, they quite like their tails cos they use it as a
0:20:09 > 0:20:13blanket and they'll pop it over them when it's cold to keep warm.
0:20:13 > 0:20:18Scott, thank you so much for coming in. She's wriggling a bit. So...
0:20:18 > 0:20:20We'll let you go. I love when you come in.
0:20:20 > 0:20:23So, thank you, Scott, everybody. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:20:23 > 0:20:26- Can I... - No, I'm keeping her forever. Bye!
0:20:26 > 0:20:29- She's actually going to. - I think she really is.
0:20:29 > 0:20:32But if you want to see more meerkat/fox action,
0:20:32 > 0:20:34there's an interview from my dressing room
0:20:34 > 0:20:36on the Blue Peter website. Jump on there - it's very funny.
0:20:36 > 0:20:40Amazing. Right, the big badge wall, we call it that because it's big and
0:20:40 > 0:20:42it's got badges on it and it's not quite a wall.
0:20:42 > 0:20:45OK, Kate has sent in this, inspired by last week's stomping on the show.
0:20:45 > 0:20:48It's a drum that you can actually play, look at this.
0:20:48 > 0:20:51- Kate, you're a genius.- Yeah!- You've got your very own Blue Peter badge
0:20:51 > 0:20:53- on its way to you, thank you.- Guys!
0:20:53 > 0:20:56I've switched a little baby fox for a big penguin.
0:20:56 > 0:20:57It looks like it's from Happy Feet!
0:20:57 > 0:20:59- It's actually life-size.- Look at that!
0:20:59 > 0:21:02John has sent this in. We think it's amazing. We've even added a little
0:21:02 > 0:21:05bit of wire on, so that we can make it fly!
0:21:06 > 0:21:09Isn't that great? John, you've got a badge, my friend. Well done!
0:21:09 > 0:21:12Abigail, this is possibly my favourite piece of post in 2017,
0:21:12 > 0:21:15just look at this, Abigail had her very own Blue Peter-themed party,
0:21:15 > 0:21:19invited friends round, with place settings, a tablecloth,
0:21:19 > 0:21:23a party banner, that's got you your very own blue badge, Abigail.
0:21:23 > 0:21:26And thank you to yourself and all of you that have sent in post.
0:21:26 > 0:21:29And if you do and you get yourself a badge, you can...
0:21:29 > 0:21:36# Get into over 200 attractions across the UK for free! #
0:21:36 > 0:21:39- That's the best performance of that.- Awful!
0:21:39 > 0:21:42- He was unimpressed.- Don't forget to go on the website for
0:21:42 > 0:21:44all the details because they might change. Didn't sing that bit!
0:21:44 > 0:21:48- Guys, what are you up to tonight? - Why?- Well, I'm going to see a film.
0:21:48 > 0:21:50- Are you really? That's great, Linds. - Yeah, it's called
0:21:50 > 0:21:53- June's Fan Of The Month. Check out the trailer.- I'm there.
0:21:56 > 0:22:00From the people that brought you April's Fan Of The Month...
0:22:00 > 0:22:03Beige Mini Butterfly!
0:22:03 > 0:22:06..and May's Fan Of The Month...
0:22:06 > 0:22:09It's Pink Sparkle Cupcake!
0:22:09 > 0:22:13..comes another exceptional fan, on a mission to create impossible
0:22:13 > 0:22:17riddles, showing kindness to all members.
0:22:17 > 0:22:19This June's Fan Of The Month is...
0:22:19 > 0:22:21Goldy Panda!
0:22:25 > 0:22:28Not coming to a cinema near you.
0:22:28 > 0:22:30CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:22:30 > 0:22:33well done, Goldy Panda, you are this month's Fan Of The Month.
0:22:33 > 0:22:35You always ask interesting questions during web chats,
0:22:35 > 0:22:38you're very kind to other BP fans, they even made up their own games
0:22:38 > 0:22:40on the website. You're ridiculous. Well done.
0:22:40 > 0:22:43I know what you're thinking, I want to be a Fan Of The Month as well.
0:22:43 > 0:22:46It's very simple. All you need is to get yourself a BBC ID
0:22:46 > 0:22:48and to do that, you need to register. Simples!
0:22:48 > 0:22:50I want to show you this quickly, Andrew from York spotted
0:22:50 > 0:22:52the Spy Book on the show a few weeks ago,
0:22:52 > 0:22:56so he designed his own very own mini Spy Book here and if we look inside,
0:22:56 > 0:22:58there's your very Blue Peter badge.
0:22:58 > 0:23:01I've actually got a friend who is a spy, he's a shepherd as well.
0:23:01 > 0:23:05Yes, he's a "shepherd spy". Ha-ha! No? OK then, here's a competition...
0:23:05 > 0:23:08Roll it, Martin.
0:23:14 > 0:23:16Codes.
0:23:16 > 0:23:19For thousands of years they've been protecting the information we
0:23:19 > 0:23:21want to keep safe.
0:23:21 > 0:23:24From ancient Egyptians through to modern-day,
0:23:24 > 0:23:26they're in the technology we use,
0:23:26 > 0:23:31in our security, codes are everywhere, protecting secrets.
0:23:31 > 0:23:35But when these codes are broken, they can have a huge impact.
0:23:35 > 0:23:39In fact, codebreakers have changed the course of history.
0:23:41 > 0:23:45This is Bletchley Park, once the top-secret home of code breaking
0:23:45 > 0:23:47in the UK.
0:23:49 > 0:23:52It was here in the Second World War that a team of super clever
0:23:52 > 0:23:55codebreakers were tasked with intercepting and deciphering
0:23:55 > 0:23:58Nazi code. Code that apparently was impossible to crack,
0:23:58 > 0:24:02but the team here did it. And it's the cracking of these codes
0:24:02 > 0:24:05that experts believe helped the Allies win the war.
0:24:05 > 0:24:08Not only that, the technology developed here nearly 80 years ago
0:24:08 > 0:24:12has shaped the way we live our lives today.
0:24:15 > 0:24:18And codes have gone from fact to fiction, with some of our
0:24:18 > 0:24:23most loved spy stories revolving around breaking codes.
0:24:23 > 0:24:27In fact, I know one author who loves them more than most.
0:24:27 > 0:24:31Hello, I'm Anthony Horowitz, the author of the Alex Rider series,
0:24:31 > 0:24:34as well as books about James Bond and Sherlock Holmes.
0:24:34 > 0:24:37I've always had a fascination with espionage and secret codes,
0:24:37 > 0:24:41so I'm delighted to be part of this brilliant Blue Peter competition.
0:24:41 > 0:24:44Yes, Anthony has teamed up with Blue Peter to bring you an
