6:34:22 > 6:34:24There's sport, music, brilliant artwork

6:34:24 > 6:34:26and some super-cute animals in the studio.

6:34:26 > 6:34:28And talking about animals,

6:34:28 > 6:34:31zoologist Lucy Cooke from the BBC One new series

6:34:31 > 6:34:33Talk To The Animals is here with meerkats!

6:34:33 > 6:34:35- I can talk to animals.- Can you?

6:34:35 > 6:34:37I saw the meerkats in the dressing room -

6:34:37 > 6:34:39"All right, boys, make me a brew!"

6:34:39 > 6:34:40No, Barns, that's not what it's about.

6:34:40 > 6:34:43Lucy's here to talk to us about the world of animal communication.

6:34:43 > 6:34:45It doesn't mean that you talk to the...

6:34:45 > 6:34:48- What, they're not making me a brew? - That's not happening.

6:34:48 > 6:34:50- Get my agent on the phone! - Oh, dear.

6:34:50 > 6:34:52So Barney can't talk to the animals, but if you could,

6:34:52 > 6:34:54we want to know what you would ask them.

6:34:54 > 6:34:56I think I'd talk to Iggy if I could talk to an animal

6:34:56 > 6:34:59and I'd ask her what she dreams about when she sleeps.

6:34:59 > 6:35:01Cos when she sleeps, she does this cute twitch thing.

6:35:01 > 6:35:03It's very adorable, and she's back next week!

6:35:03 > 6:35:05Exactly, that was going to be my question.

6:35:05 > 6:35:08If I could talk to any animal, I'd ask a silverback gorilla -

6:35:08 > 6:35:10how do they get so big just eating bananas? Where's the protein?

6:35:10 > 6:35:13- Good question.- I'd ask a meerkat where me cappuccino is!

6:35:13 > 6:35:15Oh, go away! Now, we are live and we want to hear from you.

6:35:15 > 6:35:17Head to the website...

6:35:17 > 6:35:21Tell us what animal you'd talk to and what you'd ask them.

6:35:21 > 6:35:22We want to know.

6:35:22 > 6:35:26This year has seen a whole summer full of fantastic sport.

6:35:26 > 6:35:27We had the World Cup in Brazil,

6:35:27 > 6:35:30the Tour de France - which started in Yorkshire -

6:35:30 > 6:35:32and my favourite, Wimbledon. It has been jam-packed.

6:35:32 > 6:35:35It really has been, and we love sport so much on Blue Peter

6:35:35 > 6:35:37that we even launched the brand-new design

6:35:37 > 6:35:39of our 2014 Blue Peter Sport Badge.

6:35:39 > 6:35:43Look at that, it is my favourite, and with this summer of sport,

6:35:43 > 6:35:45we couldn't go without having our very own sporting challenge,

6:35:45 > 6:35:47- could we, Linds?- No, we couldn't.

6:35:47 > 6:35:51But this being Blue Peter, it wasn't going to be easy.

6:35:54 > 6:35:56Linds, why on earth have you called me to come down to the canal

6:35:56 > 6:35:58dressed like this?

6:35:58 > 6:36:01Because, Radzi, it is time for another epic Blue Peter challenge,

6:36:01 > 6:36:02and guess what? It's me versus you.

6:36:02 > 6:36:04OK, again, what's it going to be this time?

6:36:04 > 6:36:09We're taking part in this year's Henley Rowing Regatta.

6:36:09 > 6:36:10The Henley rowing...

6:36:10 > 6:36:13Linds, we've already seen what my hair looks like in water.

6:36:13 > 6:36:14- Lindsey, look, not doing it. - What, Radz?

6:36:14 > 6:36:18- No, no, no.- Radzi! It'll be fine, we just need a bit of training.

6:36:19 > 6:36:21'This is the first time either of us have been rowing.

6:36:21 > 6:36:24'So we'll be training under the expert eye of Kevin Maynard

6:36:24 > 6:36:26'at a rowing club in Salford Quays.'

6:36:27 > 6:36:30'Kevin rowed professionally for 17 years, winning over 200 regattas

6:36:30 > 6:36:33'and has competed all over the world.'

6:36:33 > 6:36:34I cannot wait for this.

6:36:34 > 6:36:36'We're learning some basic oarwork

6:36:36 > 6:36:38'and how to balance in these playboats,

6:36:38 > 6:36:41'which, luckily for us, we can't fall out of.'

6:36:41 > 6:36:42- Bye!- Goodbye!

6:36:42 > 6:36:45- See ya!- Here I go.

6:36:45 > 6:36:47Radz, how does that feel?

6:36:47 > 6:36:50I feel as though I'm ten minutes away from the Olympics, Linds!

6:36:54 > 6:36:56HE CACKLES

6:36:56 > 6:36:58'It's my turn to have a try.

6:36:58 > 6:37:02'Now, I know I was feeling pretty confident about this challenge...'

6:37:02 > 6:37:03Lindsey, I'll see you in France!

6:37:03 > 6:37:05'..but suddenly I'm really not sure.'

6:37:07 > 6:37:09- Just go?- Free agent!

6:37:09 > 6:37:10No, I hate this!

6:37:13 > 6:37:15This is genuinely harder than it looks.

6:37:15 > 6:37:18'Radzi is handling this much better than me.

6:37:18 > 6:37:22'I just can't quite get my oars to move in the right direction.'

6:37:22 > 6:37:25- Come this way. - KEVIN LAUGHS

6:37:25 > 6:37:27I'm a really bad driver! Aah!

6:37:27 > 6:37:30'Yeah, it's not getting any better,

6:37:30 > 6:37:33'in fact, things seem to be going from bad to worse.'

6:37:33 > 6:37:35'So, after our first outing on the water,

6:37:35 > 6:37:39'it was fair to say we needed all the help we could get!'

6:37:46 > 6:37:49We're here at the Redgrave-Pinsent Rowing Lake in Caversham

6:37:49 > 6:37:52to meet two British rowing champions...

6:37:52 > 6:37:54Olympic champions at that!

6:37:54 > 6:37:57- So where are they? - They're just over THERE!

6:37:57 > 6:38:01'Meet Helen Glover and Heather Stanning.

6:38:01 > 6:38:04'At London 2012, the pair entered the history books

6:38:04 > 6:38:08'when they won the first gold medal for Team GB...'

6:38:08 > 6:38:13- COMMENTATOR:- Into the record books! And fabulously well done there!

6:38:13 > 6:38:15Great Britain have Olympic champions.

6:38:15 > 6:38:18'..and became the first British women rowers EVER

6:38:18 > 6:38:20'to win gold at an Olympic Games.'

6:38:20 > 6:38:22Helen and Heather, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you guys

6:38:22 > 6:38:25and you are two of the very best rowers in the world,

6:38:25 > 6:38:28which is clear by your Olympic gold medal.

6:38:28 > 6:38:30But how did you get started in rowing?

6:38:30 > 6:38:32Well, I started with a talent ID programme.

6:38:32 > 6:38:33I'd never rowed before.

6:38:33 > 6:38:35Because I'm quite tall and suited to rowing,

6:38:35 > 6:38:38I picked up the sport and made it to the Olympics in four years.

6:38:38 > 6:38:39- Wow!- Whoa!

6:38:39 > 6:38:41And then, Heather, what about yourself?

6:38:41 > 6:38:43Well, I went slightly differently.

6:38:43 > 6:38:45When I went to university I wanted to try something new.

6:38:45 > 6:38:47So I joined the university boat club.

6:38:47 > 6:38:52Mainly to have fun, meet new people and...yeah, stay fit.

6:38:52 > 6:38:56As gold medallists, do you have three top tips to help us out?

6:38:56 > 6:38:58I think tip number one is going to be listen to your coaches

6:38:58 > 6:39:00and the other people in your boat.

6:39:00 > 6:39:03They can see what you are doing and give you the best feedback.

6:39:03 > 6:39:06Tip number two would have to be relax -

6:39:06 > 6:39:08the more relaxed you are, the better you'll row.

6:39:08 > 6:39:09And then tip number three would be

6:39:09 > 6:39:11try and stay in time with each other

6:39:11 > 6:39:13and that'll give you the best chance of not falling in.

6:39:13 > 6:39:17So, listen to your coach, relax and row in time?

6:39:17 > 6:39:20- Exactly. Now let's see what you've got on the water!- OK.

6:39:24 > 6:39:27Linds and I are going to be training with Helen and Heather

6:39:27 > 6:39:30in the same boat as a quadruple scull.

6:39:30 > 6:39:32That means the four of us will be in here today,

6:39:32 > 6:39:34but on race day, WE will be up against each other.

6:39:34 > 6:39:37- So, friends for now, Linds!- For now!

6:39:37 > 6:39:38Whoa...

6:39:40 > 6:39:43'And suddenly, we're in a boat with two Olympians.'

6:39:44 > 6:39:45Good start.

6:39:47 > 6:39:48'And I'm feeling the pressure!'

6:39:48 > 6:39:50Just chill.

6:39:50 > 6:39:54If you are getting white knuckles, something's going wrong, OK?

6:39:54 > 6:39:57Don't want to be gripping so much that your knuckles have gone white!

6:39:57 > 6:39:59And if you feel like you've gone out of time,

6:39:59 > 6:40:02just watch Heather's blades and get back in time whenever you can.

6:40:04 > 6:40:07'We start getting into our stride, or so we think!'

6:40:09 > 6:40:13How many strokes did we just do? About 200?

6:40:13 > 6:40:14- Yeah.- And how many were good?

6:40:14 > 6:40:16- You had a really good one!- One?!

6:40:16 > 6:40:17- One!- One good stroke!

6:40:17 > 6:40:21'But practice makes perfect. More practice for us then!'

6:40:24 > 6:40:26That did feel amazing, though, didn't it?

6:40:26 > 6:40:29- It feels like you're flying. - It was such a good improvement.

6:40:29 > 6:40:32- It was really good.- It feels like you're flying, I really like that.

6:40:32 > 6:40:35I really enjoyed it, but I'm not going to lie...I'm shattered!

6:40:35 > 6:40:38- I'm honestly shattered! - There's so much to think about.

6:40:38 > 6:40:40No, definitely. Concentration.

6:40:40 > 6:40:43What are my arms doing? What are my legs doing? Listening to you guys.

6:40:43 > 6:40:45There's a lot to think about.

6:40:45 > 6:40:49I'm not physically shattered, I'm just mentally...really tired.

6:40:53 > 6:40:56'What an unbelievable opportunity we've had today -

6:40:56 > 6:40:58'to row with Helen and Heather.

6:40:58 > 6:41:00'They've taught us so much.'

6:41:00 > 6:41:03'Radzi, I hope we remember it all for the race.'

6:41:03 > 6:41:06So, you feeling ready for your challenge at Henley yet?

6:41:06 > 6:41:09I am! Bring it on! I mean, we'll need a lot more training.

6:41:09 > 6:41:12- A lot. In fact, Linds, do you have Kevin's number?- Yeah.

6:41:12 > 6:41:14Cos I need to call him now.

6:41:16 > 6:41:20You have no idea how hard rowing is until you try it.

6:41:20 > 6:41:22Helen and Heather make it look so easy.

6:41:22 > 6:41:24And that is why they are Olympic gold medallists.

6:41:24 > 6:41:27But stay watching if you want to find out how Lindsey and I got on

6:41:27 > 6:41:29when we took part in one of the most famous rowing competitions

6:41:29 > 6:41:32anywhere in the world - the Henley Royal Regatta.

6:41:32 > 6:41:34And I think one of the best bits about that challenge

6:45:23 > 6:45:26I have wanted to become a real-life Dr Dolittle and talk to the animals.

6:45:26 > 6:45:30I think it's something we'd all secretly love.

6:45:30 > 6:45:33You're all nodding at your TV screens, aren't you?

6:45:33 > 6:45:35Of course you want to be able to talk to the animals,

6:45:35 > 6:45:37especially cute little guys like this guy.

6:45:37 > 6:45:38This is Razzy, he's a meerkat.

6:45:38 > 6:45:40Isn't it weird that he's called Razzy?

6:45:40 > 6:45:42He's the most hyperactive out the bunch,

6:45:42 > 6:45:43but more about that in a bit,

6:45:43 > 6:45:45because this brand-new series about talking to animals

6:45:45 > 6:45:48is hosted by a lovely person who is sat right next to me.

6:45:48 > 6:45:50Lucy, you are the real-life Doctor Dolittle?

6:45:50 > 6:45:53I am, I am. Want to know what these meerkats are saying to each other?

6:45:53 > 6:45:55I'd love to, they're making a lot of noise.

6:45:55 > 6:45:57They are incredibly chatty creatures, meerkats.

6:45:57 > 6:45:58It's hard to shut them up

6:45:58 > 6:46:01because they like to keep in touch the whole time,

6:46:01 > 6:46:04gossiping about what they're doing to keep in contact with one another.

6:46:04 > 6:46:08He's having a good old forage... quite silently there, actually.

6:46:08 > 6:46:11It's like a little adventure, isn't it? Look at him go!

6:46:11 > 6:46:14- There's about 20 different calls that they make.- Yeah.

6:46:14 > 6:46:18To say that they are foraging or that they want feeding

6:46:18 > 6:46:22and one of the most important ones they do is an alarm call

6:46:22 > 6:46:24when they spot a predator.

6:46:24 > 6:46:26Sure. Is it much like a language that we would use?

6:46:26 > 6:46:27Ours is complex and complicated,

6:46:27 > 6:46:29it's made of lots of different sounds

6:46:29 > 6:46:32and ups and downs and different words, is theirs as complicated?

6:46:32 > 6:46:33No. It's not as complicated,

6:46:33 > 6:46:35but it's a lot more complicated than you'd think.

6:46:35 > 6:46:38With their alarm calls, they've got different alarm calls

6:46:38 > 6:46:39for different predators,

6:46:39 > 6:46:43so the meerkat that's on guard will say to the other meerkats

6:46:43 > 6:46:45whether it's a predator that's coming from the sky,

6:46:45 > 6:46:47if it's a hawk, or if it's coming from the land

6:46:47 > 6:46:50and how urgent that threat is, how close it is.

6:46:50 > 6:46:52So, it's a lot more sophisticated than you'd think.

6:46:52 > 6:46:54And it's a language picked up by other animals

6:46:54 > 6:46:56that live in the same environment.

6:46:56 > 6:46:58- We have some footage here of a drongo.- Yeah.

6:46:58 > 6:46:59Tell us about the drongo,

6:46:59 > 6:47:01it's an incredible thing they've got going on here.

6:47:01 > 6:47:04It's an information superhighway, the Kalahari.

6:47:04 > 6:47:06All the animals are listening in to each other

6:47:06 > 6:47:09and can speak each other's languages and they recognise the alarm calls,

6:47:09 > 6:47:10and the drongo knows that

6:47:10 > 6:47:14and it can mimic the alarm calls of the meerkat amongst other animals

6:47:14 > 6:47:18and it does that in a benevolent way to let them know there's danger,

6:47:18 > 6:47:20but it also does it to steal their food.

6:47:20 > 6:47:23- It's very cheeky, isn't it? - Yeah, it's very cheeky.

6:47:23 > 6:47:25For such a small bird as well. When you hear "drongo",

6:47:25 > 6:47:28you think of a big thing that walks around, but the drongo is tiny...

6:47:28 > 6:47:29Yeah, very small but very clever.

6:47:29 > 6:47:32It can mimic up to 30 different calls.

6:47:32 > 6:47:34Well, while we're talking about mimicking,

6:47:34 > 6:47:36I think it's only right that we have a go at it as well.

6:47:36 > 6:47:38- OK, we can do a drongo. - Let's join in.

6:47:38 > 6:47:39We can do a drongo noise?

6:47:39 > 6:47:41No, I can't do a drongo, we can be like drongos and mimic.

6:47:41 > 6:47:44Sure. OK, let's steal someone's food by using a noise.

6:47:44 > 6:47:46So, what noises have you learnt? I could just watch this.

6:47:46 > 6:47:48I could watch this for hours!

6:47:48 > 6:47:50Just a meerkat attacking what he probably thinks

6:47:50 > 6:47:52is a mouse or a rodent, but it's just a bit of...

6:47:52 > 6:47:55- Brilliant.- He probably thinks it's a scorpion and it's worth eating.

6:47:55 > 6:47:58Do you want to know hippo? Fancy learning hippo?

6:47:58 > 6:47:59Let's do hippo. Why not?

6:47:59 > 6:48:01OK, so hippo's a bit like an evil Father Christmas.

6:48:01 > 6:48:05It's kind of like a, "Ha-ha-ha-ha!"

6:48:05 > 6:48:06- OK!- A bit like that.

6:48:06 > 6:48:08If any hippos are listening, let's see if this has a reaction.

6:48:08 > 6:48:11Are you ready? "Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!" Any hippos looking up?

6:48:11 > 6:48:14They should bob their heads out of the water.

6:48:14 > 6:48:15Oh, look, there they go.

6:48:15 > 6:48:18- They're bobbing their heads out of the water.- As if by magic.

6:48:18 > 6:48:21- What have I just said?- You've just said, "Hello, this is my patch".

6:48:21 > 6:48:23They're sticking their heads up - "Hello, this is my patch".

6:48:23 > 6:48:25Hello, hippos! What else can you do?

6:48:25 > 6:48:27Cos this is more of a, "Oh, hello!" isn't it?

6:48:27 > 6:48:31I can do a romantic lady sloth looking for love. Go on, then.

6:48:31 > 6:48:33OK. She goes... Sorry about this.

6:48:33 > 6:48:36- She goes, "Wheeee!" - SHE SPEAKS IN HIGH-PITCHED TONE

6:48:36 > 6:48:39"Wheeeee!" It has to be that note?

6:48:39 > 6:48:42It's got to be D-sharp, otherwise the males, they won't respond.

6:48:42 > 6:48:44Beautiful, thank you. No male sloths on the way over.

6:48:44 > 6:48:46It'd take them four hours anyway!

6:48:46 > 6:48:48- Lucy, thanks for coming in and talking to us.- My pleasure.

6:48:48 > 6:48:51I'll use that technique all the way home to attract...

6:48:51 > 6:48:53No, I'm not. So the next episode we can see tonight?

6:48:53 > 6:48:55Yes, tonight, eight o'clock, BBC One.

6:48:55 > 6:48:58Lots of fantastic animal communication stories, yep.

6:48:58 > 6:49:00Beautiful. We have our own language at Blue Peter.

6:49:00 > 6:49:02- Radzi and Lindsey... - HE GARBLES NONSENSE

6:49:02 > 6:49:04I'm not doing it, it's rubbish. Here they are.

6:49:04 > 6:49:05LINDSEY LAUGHS I think you need

6:49:05 > 6:49:07a bit more practice there, Barney!

6:49:07 > 6:49:09It's pretty fair to say that Lindsey and I,

6:49:09 > 6:49:12we've had a fair few epic challenges over our time at Blue Peter.

6:49:12 > 6:49:13- We have.- Like rally driving.

6:49:13 > 6:49:16- I won that one. - Like horse carriage racing.

6:49:16 > 6:49:19- Yeah, I won. - The Next Step dance-off.

6:49:19 > 6:49:20Yeah, I won that one as well.

6:49:20 > 6:49:23The world championships of the stone skimming.

6:49:23 > 6:49:25Well done, you can have that one, Radzi.

6:49:25 > 6:49:28Now time to get back to the challenge that we saw earlier on in the show.

6:49:28 > 6:49:32You've seen us training, but now it's time for our race at Henley.

6:49:40 > 6:49:41Race day is finally here

6:49:41 > 6:49:45and that means that we're here at the Henley Royal Regatta.

6:49:45 > 6:49:47Radzi and I have been training hard for weeks

6:49:47 > 6:49:50and now it's finally time to go head-to-head and row in pairs.

6:49:50 > 6:49:52Linds, where are our rowing partners?

6:49:52 > 6:49:54I thought you were calling them, Radz?

6:49:54 > 6:49:57No, no, no, you said YOU were definitely calling them, Linds.

6:49:57 > 6:49:59Don't worry, they're getting the boats ready.

6:49:59 > 6:50:03'And here they are - Jenny Chapman and Pete Warman.'

6:50:04 > 6:50:07'Jenny's been rowing for five years

6:50:07 > 6:50:09'and has already raced at Henley three times!'

6:50:11 > 6:50:13'Pete has been rowing for nine years

6:50:13 > 6:50:15'and has also competed at Henley before,

6:50:15 > 6:50:19'where, in 2009, he won the Britannia Cox Fours race.'

6:50:20 > 6:50:23So, THEY'RE up to the job, but, Linds,

6:50:23 > 6:50:25I feel as if something's missing.

6:50:25 > 6:50:27I know. I wish we could have some last-minute help.

6:50:27 > 6:50:30If we just knew an Olympic, world and European champion, that would be...

6:50:30 > 6:50:33- All in the same person. - Oh, that would be...

6:50:33 > 6:50:35- Hey, guys.- Helen!

6:50:35 > 6:50:36How's training going?

6:50:36 > 6:50:39Well, it's funny you mention that because some of us

6:50:39 > 6:50:41have trained more than others, Lindsey.

6:50:41 > 6:50:44- Maybe some of us don't need to train as much!- Oh, big statement, or is it?

6:50:44 > 6:50:46Due to the fact you've brought a 6ft 4in, 15.5st Pete

6:50:46 > 6:50:48in the back of your boat!

6:50:48 > 6:50:50- I've still been training. I've got blisters.- A good sign.

6:50:50 > 6:50:52But, Helen, any tips for us?

6:50:52 > 6:50:54Make sure you listen to the person that you're in a boat with.

6:50:54 > 6:50:58Stay in time and row together, but really enjoy it. It'll be fun.

6:50:58 > 6:51:00It is amazing to be here,

6:51:00 > 6:51:02but there's a lot of people watching, aren't there?

6:51:02 > 6:51:04Absolutely. Try to ignore the pressure

6:51:04 > 6:51:06cos there's a lot watching you on the bank.

6:51:06 > 6:51:08Remember - stay focused and in your boat.

6:51:08 > 6:51:11- Team Radzi versus Team Lindsey. - May the best boat win!

6:51:12 > 6:51:14'Enough of the fighting talk,

6:51:14 > 6:51:16'it was time to get our boats on to the river.'

6:51:16 > 6:51:18I can't see this going well.

6:51:18 > 6:51:19'Henley is on the River Thames

6:51:19 > 6:51:23'and people have been rowing here for 175 years.

6:51:23 > 6:51:26'For this regatta, more than 200 races will take place over five days

6:51:26 > 6:51:29'and we are lucky enough to be in one of them.'

6:51:29 > 6:51:32'Lindsey and I will be racing each other

6:51:32 > 6:51:35'along 500m of the official two-kilometre course

6:51:35 > 6:51:38'with thousands of people cheering us on.

6:51:38 > 6:51:39'No pressure then!'

6:51:40 > 6:51:44I know Radzi has put more into this and he has trained hard.

6:51:44 > 6:51:47And I have trained...moderately hard.

6:51:47 > 6:51:49It is time to give it the beans and give it my all!

6:51:49 > 6:51:52Now we are here, I wish I had done a bit more cos this is intense.

6:51:52 > 6:51:54This is the calm before the storm.

6:51:54 > 6:51:59This is going to be tough and I am genuinely quite scared.

6:52:00 > 6:52:02She's pretending she's not very good,

6:52:02 > 6:52:04but I guarantee, no matter how good or bad she is,

6:52:04 > 6:52:07she's going to give this everything she's got!

6:52:09 > 6:52:11'Fred is the umpire for our race

6:52:11 > 6:52:14'and he'll be making sure we don't break any rules.'

6:52:14 > 6:52:16Attention!

6:52:16 > 6:52:18Go!

6:52:18 > 6:52:19'And we're off.'

6:52:19 > 6:52:22'Uh-oh! Lindsey and Pete have already got off to a flyer.'

6:52:22 > 6:52:24'It really helps to hear Helen cheering us on

6:52:24 > 6:52:25'from the umpire's boat.'

6:52:25 > 6:52:26Come on, guys!

6:52:28 > 6:52:30'I thought we were miles ahead at the start,

6:52:30 > 6:52:33'but we may have been a little too confident.'

6:52:35 > 6:52:38- Oh, no! Oh, no!- You're rowing well, Lindsey, it's good.

6:52:38 > 6:52:40Go on, Radzi, that's good!

6:52:42 > 6:52:44'Yes, this is our chance to get ahead,

6:52:44 > 6:52:46'I just need to stay focused.'

6:52:46 > 6:52:51- FRED:- That way, Radzi! Take it off with the left, pull the right.

6:52:51 > 6:52:54'No! My steering's all over the place, but we're giving it our all.'

6:52:57 > 6:53:00'This could be another chance for us to get back in the lead.'

6:53:00 > 6:53:02Come on, guys, sprint finish!

6:53:02 > 6:53:06'Almost at the finish, one final big push.'

6:53:06 > 6:53:09- JENNY:- That's the finish, take it down.

6:53:09 > 6:53:12'We're over the finish line. I've no idea who's won.'

6:53:12 > 6:53:15I thought it was too close to call, I couldn't tell.

6:53:15 > 6:53:17Well, Lindsey was leading the whole way down.

6:53:17 > 6:53:19And in the last 20 strokes, 20m,

6:53:19 > 6:53:22Radzi had a really good push to the line.

6:53:22 > 6:53:27That was not easy. My heart at that start line was pounding.

6:53:27 > 6:53:29I gave that absolutely everything I've got.

6:53:29 > 6:53:30Jenny, what did you reckon?

6:53:30 > 6:53:33I thought it was a really good race, a really solid performance.

6:53:33 > 6:53:35One of the best pieces you've done.

6:53:37 > 6:53:40I can honestly say that I was actually really, really impressed.

6:53:40 > 6:53:42I was really proud of you out there

6:53:42 > 6:53:44and I just thought that you took it on

6:53:44 > 6:53:46and you did exactly what we had told you to.

6:53:46 > 6:53:50'Wow, high praise for both of us from an Olympic gold medallist!'

6:53:50 > 6:53:52'But there has to be a winner.'

6:53:52 > 6:53:55Helen and I had to wait for the judges

6:53:55 > 6:53:58- because it was so very tight.- Wow.

6:53:58 > 6:54:01They had to look at the video on two or three occasions

6:54:01 > 6:54:05before they decided that Lindsey had won!

6:54:05 > 6:54:09Yes, yes! Yay!

6:54:09 > 6:54:12In the words of runner-up Radzi Chinyanganya - boom!

6:54:12 > 6:54:14- It's another win. - That was close, though.

6:54:14 > 6:54:17- It was.- We got to be in boats with Olympic gold medallists.

6:54:17 > 6:54:18- I'm inspired. - Unbelievable challenge.

6:54:18 > 6:54:21- Brilliant, well done. My next bit's about being inspired.- Is it?

6:54:21 > 6:54:24Head to the Blue Peter website and click on "Get Inspired".

6:54:24 > 6:54:27Don't forget, you can apply for your 2014 Blue Peter Sport Badge. Thanks.

6:54:27 > 6:54:31It's topics time now and straight in with the first one,

6:54:31 > 6:54:33it's from Magenta Giggly Cheetah who says,

6:54:33 > 6:54:36"I would ask a tiger what it would have for dinner tonight."

6:54:36 > 6:54:38Oh, good one. Grey Peachy Panda says,

6:54:38 > 6:54:40"If I could talk to animals, I would ask a chicken

6:54:40 > 6:54:42"that lives on a farm what it's like

6:54:42 > 6:54:44"to have your eggs stolen all the time".

6:54:44 > 6:54:46- That's a really good question. - Great question.

6:54:46 > 6:54:47Ginger Bright Elephant says,

6:54:47 > 6:54:49"Geese, why do you travel in V-form?"

6:54:49 > 6:54:52I like how they've addressed the question. Straight to the geese!

6:54:52 > 6:54:55- One of my favourite questions ever! - Philosophical. Grey Small Hawk says,

6:54:55 > 6:54:58"I would ask a bee - how long do you collect nectar for?"

6:54:58 > 6:55:00- Good question. - I bet you know the answer to that.

6:55:00 > 6:55:03I knew the one about geese, but I didn't want to bore the viewers.

6:55:03 > 6:55:06Uh, don't! Ivory Enormous Carrot says,

6:55:06 > 6:55:09"I would ask a monkey if they'd rather be related to humans or not".

6:55:09 > 6:55:11That's a weird one, but I like it.

6:55:11 > 6:55:13Pearl Hockey Robot - these names are getting better.

6:55:13 > 6:55:16"I would ask a killer whale - how long have you been on this planet?"

6:55:16 > 6:55:17That's a cracker, isn't it?

6:55:17 > 6:55:20One final one here from James The Labrador saying,

6:55:20 > 6:55:23"Can you please stop asking us what we sound like and what we say

6:55:23 > 6:55:25- "and just show us a bit of Rixton?" - HE SIGHS

6:55:25 > 6:55:27# All I need's a little love in my life... #

6:55:37 > 6:55:40Me And My Broken Heart, which stormed into the US Top 20.

6:55:40 > 6:55:42# My love... #

6:56:17 > 6:56:20How do you go from making covers online - how you started -

6:56:20 > 6:56:23to being massive in America?
