6:32:46 > 6:32:49Hello, welcome to today's Blue Peter.

6:32:49 > 6:32:52Now you can probably tell, Barney isn't here today. He's a little bit

6:32:52 > 6:32:54under the weather, so he's not going to be here.

6:32:54 > 6:32:56So get well soon, Bar...

6:32:56 > 6:32:59- Lindsey?- Yes, I just really miss him. I can't stop hugging his face.

6:33:02 > 6:33:04We know that Barney will be back next week. Hi, Barn,

6:33:04 > 6:33:07- if you're watching. We do really miss...- Unprofessional.- Sorry.

6:33:07 > 6:33:10I just miss him. Something you are probably very excited about

6:33:10 > 6:33:11is the Easter holidays

6:33:11 > 6:33:15which means loads of eggs, loads of chocolate, and of course, no school.

6:33:15 > 6:33:17- Yes. - Yes.

6:33:17 > 6:33:19Some of you may have already broken up, some of you might be breaking

6:33:19 > 6:33:21up tomorrow, but whenever you are,

6:33:21 > 6:33:23we want to know what you're getting up to.

6:33:23 > 6:33:26Do you know what I love at Easter? My mum does an Easter egg hunt.

6:33:26 > 6:33:28She puts chocolate everywhere and I go round the house

6:33:28 > 6:33:31- stuffing my face with chocolate. - It's rude not to.

6:33:31 > 6:33:32What do you do, Radzi?

6:33:32 > 6:33:35Every year me and my family go to Scotland and as a Christian it's

6:33:35 > 6:33:38quite an important time, so we go to church and have a brilliant day.

6:33:38 > 6:33:41It sounds good. That's what we're getting up to,

6:33:41 > 6:33:43but we want to know what you at home are doing.

6:33:43 > 6:33:47So get online and let us know your Easter plans.

6:33:47 > 6:33:50At the end of the show, during Eliza Doolittle's performance

6:33:50 > 6:33:53we'll try and show as many as we can. Radzi, what are you doing?

6:33:53 > 6:33:56- Getting ready for the performance. - Do you want to explain to them why?

6:33:56 > 6:34:00- I'm in the zone. I'm limbering up. - You carry on limbering.

6:34:00 > 6:34:03This is all because earlier in the week we got the chance to dance

6:34:03 > 6:34:06with the cast of The Next Step.

6:34:06 > 6:34:09We did. And we got put through our paces which is why I'm limbering up,

6:34:09 > 6:34:11- but it was all for a very good reason.- Big time.

6:34:11 > 6:34:14Have a look at how we got on with Trevor, Lamar and Brittany,

6:34:14 > 6:34:18who play James, West and Riley in the show.

6:34:27 > 6:34:28Hello?

6:34:32 > 6:34:37- OK, so...- Where are they? - I have no idea.- Hold on.

6:34:37 > 6:34:39Are we even in the right place?

6:34:40 > 6:34:41I have no idea.

6:34:41 > 6:34:45We've come all the way from Canada to Britain to teach Radzi

6:34:45 > 6:34:47and Lindsey how to dance

6:34:47 > 6:34:49and I'm shocked - they're late.

6:34:49 > 6:34:52I hear this happens with them a lot.

6:34:52 > 6:34:53What should we do now?

6:34:53 > 6:34:57- I guess start stretching. - Yes, let's warm up, I guess.- OK.

6:35:02 > 6:35:04So we're late because Radzi is doing his hair

6:35:04 > 6:35:06and when we get there The Next Step cast are already there.

6:35:06 > 6:35:08'It's so embarrassing.'

6:35:08 > 6:35:11That was nothing to do with me. This hair takes care of itself.

6:35:11 > 6:35:13It's Lindsey and her make-up. Honest.

6:35:13 > 6:35:18- Hi.- Hey!- We're sorry we are late. - Yeah, it's cool.

6:35:18 > 6:35:22- It's only about half an hour late. - Well, we're ready to go, aren't we?

6:35:22 > 6:35:24- We are ready.- Good.- Awesome.

6:35:24 > 6:35:25They seem like nice guys.

6:35:25 > 6:35:29But honestly, looking at them, we've got our work cut out.

6:35:29 > 6:35:32So, Trevor, Lamar, Brittany, you guys are in The Next Step.

6:35:32 > 6:35:34So tell us a little bit about the new show.

6:35:34 > 6:35:37The show follows the lives of ten dancers

6:35:37 > 6:35:40and it's kind of a drama in how they strive to reach a common

6:35:40 > 6:35:42goal of winning this massive dance competition.

6:35:47 > 6:35:49- What are each of your characters like?- I play Riley.

6:35:49 > 6:35:53She can be very perceptive at times and a bit of a goody two shoes.

6:35:53 > 6:35:57- I just think me and Michelle should be switched.- I disagree.

6:35:57 > 6:36:00I think she needs to earn her place just like everybody else did.

6:36:00 > 6:36:03- OK?- OK. She deserves to be in the front row.- Riley.

6:36:03 > 6:36:05- I just want what's best for the team.- Riley.

6:36:05 > 6:36:07James is a really laid-back kind of guy.

6:36:07 > 6:36:10He's a cool dude. A little bit of a ladies' man.

6:36:10 > 6:36:15- Water bottle?- Yes. It's natural spring mountain water.

6:36:15 > 6:36:17Mm. Got it.

6:36:17 > 6:36:20My character, I play the character of West.

6:36:20 > 6:36:23He's kind of like the kooky, comedic relief for the show,

6:36:23 > 6:36:26so he does some crazy stuff.

6:36:30 > 6:36:33So you guys are actually going to show us the ropes today,

6:36:33 > 6:36:38- show us a few steps, a few moves.- A few moves?

6:36:38 > 6:36:42Some moves? These guys are not going to know what hit them.

6:36:42 > 6:36:44We're not just teaching you guys moves.

6:36:44 > 6:36:47We're going to teach each of you a dance routine.

6:36:47 > 6:36:51- Yes, and then you're performing it live in the studio.- No.

6:36:51 > 6:36:55Then it's going to be up to the Blue Peter audience to decide

6:36:55 > 6:36:56which of you two is best.

6:36:56 > 6:36:59- Me. I think it's me. - Team Radzi, Team Lindsey.

6:36:59 > 6:37:03So, Radzi, You will be with me. I'm teaching you a contemporary routine.

6:37:03 > 6:37:06- Team Radzi, bring it on.- Lindsey, you are going to be with me.

6:37:06 > 6:37:08- OK, what are we doing? - Some great dancing.

6:37:08 > 6:37:09Ooh!

6:37:09 > 6:37:12This is going to be gold.

6:37:12 > 6:37:16And I'm going to be throwing some hip-hop into each of your routines.

6:37:16 > 6:37:17Nice.

6:37:17 > 6:37:20Do I want to win? Of course I do.

6:37:20 > 6:37:24More importantly I want Radzi to do really, really badly.

6:37:24 > 6:37:28- Are you ready?- Ready as I've ever been. I used to break dance.

6:37:28 > 6:37:30I'm going to get you some break dancing right now.

6:37:30 > 6:37:32Lamar is going to give you some hip-hop.

6:37:32 > 6:37:35Start it off. Start with that right foot.

6:37:35 > 6:37:38Give me a "huh". Lean it back a little. Hah!

6:37:38 > 6:37:41Then, "boom." Break dancing is a really hard discipline to learn.

6:37:41 > 6:37:44It's taken me 12 years.

6:37:44 > 6:37:46Give me right, hop.

6:37:46 > 6:37:49'Honestly. I'm not sure she's going to do it.'

6:37:49 > 6:37:53In, back, go slide, step, step, boom, jump.

6:37:53 > 6:37:55Try and land facing the front.

6:37:55 > 6:37:58When you see what Trevor and Lamar do, I mean, really?

6:37:58 > 6:38:00So, up and pose.

6:38:00 > 6:38:03I'm struggling as it is and Radzi is not helping.

6:38:03 > 6:38:06RADZI COUGHS

6:38:06 > 6:38:08- He's putting me off. - Step... Are you all right?

6:38:08 > 6:38:12What? I've really got a cough.

6:38:12 > 6:38:16All right. So you're prepped forward, left foot front,

6:38:16 > 6:38:17just think that

6:38:17 > 6:38:19and then you just whip that in.

6:38:19 > 6:38:22This is going to be a stroll. Team Radzi

6:38:22 > 6:38:24has this one in the bag.

6:38:24 > 6:38:27- Yes, there you go.- Oh!

6:38:27 > 6:38:29- It's tough.- It is tough.

6:38:29 > 6:38:32Radzi might think he has the easier dance.

6:38:32 > 6:38:34Let's start from the beginning. Ready?

6:38:34 > 6:38:37But believe me, it takes years of practice and dedication.

6:38:37 > 6:38:39'He's definitely got a lot of work to do.'

6:38:39 > 6:38:42And double, out, left.

6:38:42 > 6:38:45- Any water, guys? - I know what Lindsey is up to.

6:38:45 > 6:38:47- She's jealous of my dancing. - I'll leave it there.

6:38:47 > 6:38:49We can drink some water after.

6:38:49 > 6:38:51She knows I'm going to win.

6:38:51 > 6:38:52I know what you're up to.

6:38:52 > 6:38:55They look thirsty and you've got to keep hydrated when you're dancing.

6:38:55 > 6:38:57Fact. Isn't it?

6:38:57 > 6:39:00I'm not even close to being ready.

6:39:00 > 6:39:04I can't fail, not in front of a live audience.

6:39:04 > 6:39:06I just don't know how we're going to do this.

6:39:09 > 6:39:11- Here we are.- Look at these outfits. Give a twirl.

6:39:11 > 6:39:13- Give a twirl.- In our outfits, we're ready to dance.

6:39:13 > 6:39:16We are indeed. There's a lot on the line.

6:39:16 > 6:39:18That's right. You need to get online after we've danced

6:39:18 > 6:39:22and vote for who you think the better dancer is. Me or Radzi.

6:39:22 > 6:39:25And the winner is going to take home the piece of artwork that is

6:39:25 > 6:39:31- the Blue Peter 2014 Dance Off Boot. - That is actually amazing.

6:39:31 > 6:39:33I really want to take that home.

6:39:33 > 6:39:36I've got to say I'm not feeling super confident for either of us.

6:39:36 > 6:39:39I'm nervous. I feel like we are auditioning for Troupe A. A-Troupe.

6:39:39 > 6:39:41A-Troupe. Me too.

6:39:41 > 6:39:44Three people who know exactly how that feels

6:39:44 > 6:39:46are Brittany, Trevor and Lamar. Please welcome them.

6:39:46 > 6:39:50CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

6:39:50 > 6:39:54Yes, welcome. Welcome. Welcome.

6:39:54 > 6:39:57Guys, Next Step dance troupe, thank you for coming in.

6:39:57 > 6:40:00Can I say thanks already for making us look quite bad?

6:40:00 > 6:40:03- And for those great moves. - You guys look great.

6:40:03 > 6:40:05I do have a really serious question.

6:40:05 > 6:40:09- How effective would my happy dance be? Check it out.- No, Radzi.

6:40:09 > 6:40:11You can't do...

6:40:11 > 6:40:14- I think you should stick to the "choreog."- Yes.

6:40:14 > 6:40:16You were not doing that.

6:40:16 > 6:40:18Now, you're first up and we've got the team headbands.

6:40:18 > 6:40:22You're going to be dancing with Brittany. I'm dancing with Trevor.

6:40:22 > 6:40:25Radzi, good luck. Take it away.

6:40:25 > 6:40:27Let's do it. Let's do it.

6:40:27 > 6:40:28Right.

6:40:30 > 6:40:35# We're gonna tear the roof off this place

6:40:35 > 6:40:41# You, you can hear the faintest sound

6:40:41 > 6:40:44# Don't even ask the DJ... #

6:40:44 > 6:40:47WHOOPING

6:40:59 > 6:41:02WHOOPING

6:41:02 > 6:41:04Radzi!

6:41:06 > 6:41:12- Yes! Linz! - That was amazing. Here we go.

6:41:16 > 6:41:18# Stand up. #

6:41:18 > 6:41:21WHOOPING

6:41:23 > 6:41:26# So you say you want to party... #

6:41:26 > 6:41:28WHOOPING

6:41:28 > 6:41:30# Let's get it started

6:41:30 > 6:41:32# Come on, everybody let's go

6:41:32 > 6:41:35# So we've got the feeling

6:41:35 > 6:41:37# Join us to the ceiling

6:41:37 > 6:41:39# So we've got the feeling

6:41:39 > 6:41:41# Join us to the ceiling... #

6:41:41 > 6:41:44CHEERING

6:41:44 > 6:41:49- Lindsey Russell, well done. - Do you know what?

6:41:49 > 6:41:52I'm really out of breath and I'm so relieved that is over.

6:41:52 > 6:41:56- Trevor, honestly, who is the better dancer?- Well, I mean...

6:41:56 > 6:41:59Whoa, whoa, whoa! Not playing any of those games, Lindsey.

6:41:59 > 6:42:00It doesn't matter what we think anyway.

6:42:00 > 6:42:02- It's down to you to vote.- That's right.

6:42:02 > 6:42:07We want you to head to the website, click on me and Radzi's

6:42:07 > 6:42:11face like that and go a little bit down. "Who is the best dancer?"

6:42:11 > 6:42:13And you decide.

6:42:13 > 6:42:15Radzi or Lindsey. Haven't got long.

6:42:15 > 6:42:18The vote closes in just about ten minutes' time.

6:42:18 > 6:42:22- That's all you've got time for. So get voting. (For me.)- Oi!

6:42:22 > 6:42:24Stop it. None of that, please.

6:42:24 > 6:42:27- Lamar, you did actually help us both out this week.- Yes, I did.

6:42:27 > 6:42:29I'm still recovering. How do you think we did?

6:42:29 > 6:42:32Honestly, you guys did amazing. You guys should be very,

6:42:32 > 6:42:35very proud of yourselves. You did an extraordinary job.

6:42:35 > 6:42:37Considering you guys are not dancers,

6:42:37 > 6:42:39you should be very proud of yourselves.

6:42:39 > 6:42:42Thank you to The Next Step for coming in.

6:42:42 > 6:42:45We'll see you a bit later for the result.

6:42:45 > 6:42:46- That was scary wasn't it? - Terrifying.

6:42:46 > 6:42:48Something that is even scarier than

6:42:48 > 6:42:52dancing on national TV for me is fish.

6:42:54 > 6:42:58Today I'm at a canal in Dudley to help out with a very fishy mission.

6:42:58 > 6:43:01One of these locks is going to be drained so that experts can

6:43:01 > 6:43:04get in and carry out essential maintenance work on the canal walls.

6:43:04 > 6:43:07And that means I'm going to have to do a fish rescue which

6:43:07 > 6:43:09basically means getting in there, catching

6:43:09 > 6:43:14and moving hundreds of fish down the canal. There's just one problem.

6:43:14 > 6:43:16I'm absolutely terrified of fish.

6:43:16 > 6:43:18- Hi, James.- Hello, Lindsey.

6:43:18 > 6:43:21You're in charge of the rescue today.

6:43:21 > 6:43:24- I am.- So what can I do to help you that does not involve fish at all?

6:43:24 > 6:43:27I'm afraid the whole process today is going to involve fish.

6:43:27 > 6:43:28What do we have to do?

6:43:28 > 6:43:30We're going to take the fish out, weigh them,

6:43:30 > 6:43:31and rehome them downstream.

6:43:31 > 6:43:33You are going to need this.

6:43:33 > 6:43:36While I get changed into my kit the team get to work draining

6:43:36 > 6:43:38the canal pound.

6:43:38 > 6:43:42Each year the Canal And River Trust look after 2,000 miles of waterways.

6:43:42 > 6:43:45Fish rescues take place to allow maintenance to be carried

6:43:45 > 6:43:49out on the locks, or to move fish to stop illegal angling taking place.

6:43:49 > 6:43:51OK, I'm going in. Oh.

6:43:53 > 6:43:55But how do we actually catch the fish?

6:43:55 > 6:43:59We're putting an electric field into the water.

6:43:59 > 6:44:01This allows us enough time just to stop the fish swimming

6:44:01 > 6:44:04and net them and put them in the bin safely.

6:44:04 > 6:44:07I keep this probe under the water all the time and then scoop up the fish?

6:44:07 > 6:44:10- That's right.- But it's not cruel to the fish. It doesn't hurt them.

6:44:10 > 6:44:12It doesn't hurt the fish whatsoever.

6:44:12 > 6:44:14It allows us time to stop them swimming,

6:44:14 > 6:44:16to net them and get them into the bin safely.

6:44:16 > 6:44:17Can we get electrocuted?

6:44:17 > 6:44:20No, these suits ensure that we don't get electrocuted.

6:44:20 > 6:44:23Phew! With that sorted it's time to face my fear.

6:44:23 > 6:44:28THEME TUNE FROM JAWS

6:44:28 > 6:44:30The worst that's going to happen today is we're going to get

6:44:30 > 6:44:34- fish about three to four foot in length.- That's my height.

6:44:34 > 6:44:38- I'm so scared.- OK, ready, guys? We're going to go live.

6:44:38 > 6:44:40That's right, we're fishing.

6:44:40 > 6:44:42There you go, there is a big fish.

6:44:42 > 6:44:44No! What was that?

6:44:44 > 6:44:48- Am I meant...?- Get your net. Get it headfirst if you can.

6:44:48 > 6:44:50I don't like it.

6:44:50 > 6:44:54Agh! It's so big. Get it away.

6:44:56 > 6:44:58I'm so scared.

6:44:58 > 6:45:01Ugh! That is massive.

6:45:01 > 6:45:05- Agh!- That's it. Get its head in the net.- Where has it gone?

6:45:05 > 6:45:10What scares me is that if we see a big one I can't run anywhere.

6:45:10 > 6:45:12'Come on, Lindsey, get a grip.'

6:45:14 > 6:45:16Yes!

6:45:16 > 6:45:20There is another one. Six. Yes.

6:45:20 > 6:45:23Getting better at this with the small ones.

6:45:23 > 6:45:27There we go. Not bad for my first time. At least six in there.

6:45:27 > 6:45:32That's huge. That's a whale! That's a whale!

6:45:32 > 6:45:35Oh! Ugh! Oh!

6:45:35 > 6:45:38Yes! Got a pike.

6:45:40 > 6:45:44Yes, there we go. We've rescued him. We're going to take him

6:45:44 > 6:45:46down the canal.

6:45:46 > 6:45:48I think that's a pretty good effort.

6:45:48 > 6:45:50We've rescued more than 650 fish.

6:45:50 > 6:45:53The next job is to weigh and measure them and for this

6:45:53 > 6:45:54I've got some helpers.

6:45:54 > 6:45:57There's loads of different types of fish in there.

6:45:57 > 6:45:58That really surprised me.

6:45:58 > 6:46:00There is a lot. It's something I hear a lot as well.

6:46:00 > 6:46:02People are seeing a lot more types

6:46:02 > 6:46:04of fish than they expect to in the canal.

6:46:04 > 6:46:07- What's the biggest one you've ever caught?- A carp.- How big was that?

6:46:07 > 6:46:09- About that big.- Wow!

6:46:09 > 6:46:13We found eight types of fish in the canal, ranging from fairly

6:46:13 > 6:46:16small roach and perch, to the gigantic pike and carp.

6:46:16 > 6:46:19This shows the canal is supporting a healthy fish population.

6:46:19 > 6:46:22That's about three quarters of a pound.

6:46:22 > 6:46:24- Do you think I can get one out? - You can indeed.

6:46:24 > 6:46:27- How about you get this big fella here?- The big one?- The big one.

6:46:27 > 6:46:29Oh, gosh, that's slimy.

6:46:29 > 6:46:31Ooh!

6:46:31 > 6:46:33Dropped him.

6:46:33 > 6:46:38- One hand under the head.- Oh, gosh. That is huge.

6:46:38 > 6:46:40Ugh! My hands are so gooey.

6:46:42 > 6:46:47- That's 540 in length.- There we go. Onto the scales now.

6:46:47 > 6:46:52That is almost exact only four pounds.

6:46:52 > 6:46:53That's a big fish.

6:46:55 > 6:46:57Then, with the fish weighed and measured,

6:46:57 > 6:47:00it's time to show them their new home, a bit further down the canal.

6:47:04 > 6:47:07So, guys, shall we get them back in? Is that a good spot for them, Becca?

6:47:07 > 6:47:10Perfect spot. Lovely load of canal, loads of water,

6:47:10 > 6:47:12they're going to be very happy.

6:47:15 > 6:47:20Bye, guys! See you later! They've been re-homed!

6:47:20 > 6:47:23Give them a big send-off. Bye!

6:47:23 > 6:47:24- ALL:- Bye!

6:47:26 > 6:47:29Do you know what? Considering that at the beginning of today I was

6:47:29 > 6:47:32scared to even hold anything bigger than a goldfish,

6:47:32 > 6:47:34the fact I've gone in that water with a dry suit on

6:47:34 > 6:47:37and managed to hold a pike is something I can be pretty proud of.

6:47:37 > 6:47:41That said, I'm quite excited to get back to the Blue Peter studio.

6:47:41 > 6:47:44Do you know what? I'm quite proud of myself.

6:47:44 > 6:47:46Thank you so much to James for helping me out and for putting up

6:47:46 > 6:47:49with loads of horrible screaming in his ear all day. Thank you.

6:47:49 > 6:47:53- Radzi, is that another fish I see? - It is. This wall

6:47:53 > 6:47:56is absolutely caked. This is from Katie. She is from Essex.

6:47:56 > 6:47:59Look at that huge fish she's got there.

6:47:59 > 6:48:02Little fish swimming about, huge pike, and Lindsey saying, "Agh!"

6:48:02 > 6:48:05Do you know what, Katie? I do not like fish but I love your drawing.

6:48:05 > 6:48:08Thank you very much for sending that in. Now, check this, Radzi.

6:48:08 > 6:48:11It's from Jamalia. We got sent it today. It is a mixture

6:48:11 > 6:48:13of everything we did last week.

6:48:13 > 6:48:15It's got owls and it's all done in tie-dye. Not bad, is it?

6:48:15 > 6:48:18It's a mixture, but it's a lot better than what I did last week.

6:48:18 > 6:48:22I've got to say, yeah. It is. Shaqil has sent this in.

6:48:22 > 6:48:26She's from Somerset. It's Barney and Miss Piggy. We love that a lot.

6:48:26 > 6:48:29- That is from a couple of weeks ago. - On the set of the Muppets.

6:48:29 > 6:48:32- How good was that?- Very fun.

6:48:32 > 6:48:37And, now, last week you met Atka and you met to Mumble, the two owls.

6:48:37 > 6:48:40Since then, we've been inundated with owl pictures.

6:48:40 > 6:48:44This one's a little bit special. It's from Zainab. She's from Derby.

6:48:44 > 6:48:47Look at that detail in that, all by one black pen.

6:48:47 > 6:48:51And she even got her signature just there.

6:48:51 > 6:48:55- Zainab is an artist of the future. - Wow! That's absolutely unbelievable.

6:48:55 > 6:48:59We did also show Barney blowing up a building. Have a look at this.

6:48:59 > 6:49:01It's from Isabel. She's ten.

6:49:01 > 6:49:04It says, "It will explode in three, two, one... Boom!"

6:49:04 > 6:49:08We like that a lot. Thank you so much for everything you've sent in.

6:49:08 > 6:49:11- Yeah, which they do every single week, without a doubt.- Thank you.

6:49:11 > 6:49:14And someone who's gone above and beyond with sending us in

6:49:14 > 6:49:17some amazing artwork, of course, is Erin. Have a look at this.

6:49:17 > 6:49:20These are all the Makes she's been sending us, all the little games.

6:49:20 > 6:49:23We have loved all of her work so much that we thought - you know what? -

6:49:23 > 6:49:26not only should she be Star Of The Week,

6:49:26 > 6:49:30we need to get Erin in to the studio to do a live Make.

6:49:30 > 6:49:31So, over to Radzi and Erin.

6:49:31 > 6:49:34Thank you very much, Lindsey Russell.

6:49:34 > 6:49:36And would you please give a huge Blue Peter welcome

6:49:36 > 6:49:38to our former Star Of The Week, Erin!

6:49:38 > 6:49:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

6:49:40 > 6:49:44Welcome. You brought your two friends, what are your names, guys?

6:49:44 > 6:49:48- My name's Athena.- And I'm Bethany. - Bethany, I'm loving your work.

6:49:48 > 6:49:51- Erin, you also brought your box of tricks along with you.- Yes.

6:49:51 > 6:49:55- The thing on top of this box I love. Can we see it?- Yeah.- Thank you.

6:49:55 > 6:49:59It's your board game that you made that made you Star Of The Week.

6:49:59 > 6:50:02You've got all the Blue Peter badges there,

6:50:02 > 6:50:04you have scorecards you've even made as well.

6:50:04 > 6:50:06It's absolutely fantastic.

6:50:06 > 6:50:08- So, girls, are you up for helping me with the Make?- ALL:- Yes.

6:50:08 > 6:50:13Brilliant. OK, first things first, what do we need to start this Make?

6:50:13 > 6:50:16- We need some coloured wool...- In fact, I'm going to stop you there.

6:50:16 > 6:50:18I haven't even told anyone what we're making.

6:50:18 > 6:50:20Because Easter is just around the corner.

6:50:20 > 6:50:23And that's why we thought this would be the very perfect thing.

6:50:23 > 6:50:25It is an Easter nest.

6:50:25 > 6:50:28Yes, sorry, you were telling us what we're going to need.

6:50:28 > 6:50:31We need some coloured wool or thread, and some balloons.

6:50:31 > 6:50:36- Perfect.- We need some PVA glue with a little bit of water in it.

6:50:36 > 6:50:39- How much water?- Only a few drops. - Perfect. And, Bethany.

6:50:39 > 6:50:43We're going to need some scissors or a pin to pop the balloon.

6:50:43 > 6:50:45- And, of course, the chocolate eggs.- Perfect.

6:50:45 > 6:50:52As ever, all the details are on our website, which is:

6:50:52 > 6:50:54So, it's time to get started.

6:50:54 > 6:50:56The very first thing we need are the balloons.

6:50:56 > 6:50:59Now, this... What have we started with? I can't get my words out.

6:50:59 > 6:51:02This is a latex balloon. The reason we've used that one is because

6:51:02 > 6:51:05it's biodegradable and it's good for the environment.

6:51:05 > 6:51:07You can use whatever balloon you want.

6:51:07 > 6:51:10The very first thing we do is blow it up.

6:51:10 > 6:51:12Now, it just needs to be a small balloon

6:51:12 > 6:51:14cos birds' nests are pretty small, after all.

6:51:14 > 6:51:17And if you have a latex balloon, make sure you have a tight knot

6:51:17 > 6:51:20because sometimes the air escapes, and we do not want that.

6:51:20 > 6:51:23Girls, you've already done that, haven't you? The next stage

6:51:23 > 6:51:24is a little bit messy.

6:51:24 > 6:51:27So it's worth putting some newspaper down and being a bit careful.

6:51:27 > 6:51:29So, we take our thread.

6:51:29 > 6:51:32And, as I've learned from bad experience,

6:51:32 > 6:51:36you need your thread to have no knots in so it is much easier to do.

6:51:36 > 6:51:39The very first thing we do is stick our finger

6:51:39 > 6:51:43in the PVA water solution. And we dip it on the balloon, like so.

6:51:43 > 6:51:47Then we take the end of the string, and that holds it in place.

6:51:47 > 6:51:49And here comes the messy part.

6:51:49 > 6:51:52We dip our thumb and forefinger in the glue.

6:51:52 > 6:51:56And then we simply drag down the thread all that glue.

6:51:56 > 6:52:01And then we wrap it around and then we simply repeat the process.

6:52:01 > 6:52:06Finger and thumb back in the glue, drag it down the string.

6:52:06 > 6:52:10- It's sticky.- As you can see, I'm making this a little bit messy,

6:52:10 > 6:52:12you girls are much better at this than me.

6:52:12 > 6:52:15- And you simply wrap it around. Girls, how are we getting on?- Great.

6:52:15 > 6:52:17My hands are covered. Stickily.

6:52:17 > 6:52:21And that's why you want to do it somewhere where you can clean up.

6:52:21 > 6:52:24- Have you ever done anything like this before?- I've done papier-mache.

6:52:24 > 6:52:28Papier-mache? It's quite similar, isn't it? Now, the next part,

6:52:28 > 6:52:32after you've done this enough times to have very, very few gaps,

6:52:32 > 6:52:34you'll have more time than me, it'll take about two hours to dry.

6:52:34 > 6:52:36And after it has set,

6:52:36 > 6:52:39you'll have something which looks like this.

6:52:39 > 6:52:41Girls, you are ready on cue.

6:52:41 > 6:52:45OK, it's time to take our safety pins, are we ready?

6:52:45 > 6:52:47Three, two, one. Pop the balloon.

6:52:47 > 6:52:50OK, that's what you call pear shaped.

6:52:50 > 6:52:54OK, that is... We're going to move on from that one.

6:52:54 > 6:52:57- But we're going to use... Erin, can I use your one?- OK.

6:52:57 > 6:52:58Thank you very much.

6:52:58 > 6:53:03Now, simply try and open up a hole in this one.

6:53:03 > 6:53:07With our particular ones, finding a hole is easier than it should be.

6:53:07 > 6:53:11So, we will then try and pull the balloon...

6:53:11 > 6:53:13In fact, Bethany, do you know what?

6:53:13 > 6:53:16- Yours is a picture of perfection, can I use your one?- Yeah, sure.

6:53:16 > 6:53:19Thank you very much, Bethany, you're saving the day here.

6:53:19 > 6:53:22I'm going to now pull this balloon, which is

6:53:22 > 6:53:29a little bit stuck, through the hole here. Now, I say pull it through...

6:53:29 > 6:53:31THEY LAUGH

6:53:31 > 6:53:34OK, I'm going to yank it for now, but you can be a bit more careful.

6:53:34 > 6:53:37And when you have a hole like that just there, that makes the

6:53:37 > 6:53:41perfect entry for your beautiful eggs.

6:53:41 > 6:53:46And, it has to be said, this hasn't been my finest work

6:53:46 > 6:53:49but it is really, really simple, if you have more time.

6:53:49 > 6:53:51And, if you're going to make one yourself, please,

6:53:51 > 6:53:54just take a picture and send it to us.

6:53:54 > 6:53:57Our e-mail address is:

6:53:57 > 6:54:01And we will try and include it in our Makes and Bakes section online.

6:54:01 > 6:54:05- Lindsey!- Radzi, you made me laugh a bit there.

6:54:05 > 6:54:07Now, I am a little bit nervous

6:54:07 > 6:54:10because at the beginning of the show, we asked you to get online

6:54:10 > 6:54:14and vote for who you think is the better dancer, me or Radzi.

6:54:14 > 6:54:19And I can now say the vote has closed. You cannot vote any more.

6:54:19 > 6:54:20The decision has been made.

6:54:20 > 6:54:24So, we're going to be finding out a little bit later who's won.

6:54:24 > 6:54:27- But we've got little treat, haven't we, Brittany?- Yes, of course.

6:54:27 > 6:54:29We have a sneak peek of tomorrow's The Next Step.

6:54:29 > 6:54:31- And it's a Blue Peter exclusive. - Let's take a look.

6:54:35 > 6:54:38- Where's the last place you saw it? - I had it on when we were playing.

6:54:38 > 6:54:39- OK, so it can't be far.- Let's look.

6:54:39 > 6:54:43I am so afraid I've lost this necklace for good.

6:54:43 > 6:54:45I mean, if we don't find it, I have no idea what

6:54:45 > 6:54:46Emily is going to do to me.

6:54:46 > 6:54:48She already kicked me out of the E-Girls.

6:54:48 > 6:54:50Riley just lost her necklace.

6:54:50 > 6:54:52And I kind of feel like it's almost my fault

6:54:52 > 6:54:55because I was the one that suggested to play dance Frisbee.

6:54:55 > 6:54:57- Guys, I think I found it!- Really?

6:54:57 > 6:55:00No. Never mind.

6:55:00 > 6:55:03- Don't worry, we'll find it. - I hope so.

6:55:04 > 6:55:06- Oh, it looks good, doesn't it?- It does.

6:55:06 > 6:55:07And if you want to see it,

6:55:07 > 6:55:11it's on tomorrow at 7:45 in the morning or in the afternoon at 4:35.

6:55:11 > 6:55:15- Only on CBBC, of course. - Linz, are you ready?- Not really.

6:55:15 > 6:55:17- I'm actually really scared. - I'm ready.

6:55:17 > 6:55:20It's time to find out who is the winner

6:55:20 > 6:55:22of the 2014 Blue Peter Dance-Off.

6:55:22 > 6:55:24- Lamar, do the honours, my friend. - All right.

6:55:24 > 6:55:26Drum roll, please.

6:55:26 > 6:55:29The winner is...

6:55:30 > 6:55:31..Lindsey!

6:55:31 > 6:55:34CHEERING

6:55:37 > 6:55:40- Well deserved. - I'm pleased with that.

6:55:51 > 6:55:52We've got loads going on.

6:55:52 > 6:55:55I'm going to be looking at some of the artwork of world-famous

6:55:55 > 6:55:58Henri Matisse, maybe you're learning about him at school?

6:55:58 > 6:56:01His great-granddaughter, Sophie Matisse, is going to be in the studio

6:56:01 > 6:56:04showing you how to make your very own Matisse inspired artwork.

6:56:04 > 6:56:07- Don't miss it.- And pop sensation Elyar Fox is going to be performing

6:56:07 > 6:56:11live in the studio of his brand-new single, A Billion Girls.

6:56:12 > 6:56:15# I can look a million times a day

6:56:15 > 6:56:18# The way I feel... #

6:56:18 > 6:56:21And if you've got any videos of what you've been up to over

6:56:21 > 6:56:26the Easter holidays, then why not send them to us at:

6:56:26 > 6:56:29And next week we'll try and show as many of them as we've got time for.

6:56:37 > 6:56:39- Thank you for coming in. - Thank you for having me.

6:56:39 > 6:56:41What have you been up to lately?

6:56:41 > 6:56:43Well, I'm halfway through a tour with Gary Barlow.

6:56:43 > 6:56:46And I've been writing in the studio again as well.

6:56:46 > 6:56:50And you're actually going to perform one of your songs today, aren't you?

6:56:50 > 6:56:52Yes. It's off my album In Your Hands, and it's called

6:56:52 > 6:56:54- Waste Of Time. - We cannot wait to hear it.

6:56:54 > 6:56:56Thank you very much, Eliza, take it away.

6:56:59 > 6:57:02# What a waste of time

6:57:02 > 6:57:05# Precious little time

6:57:05 > 6:57:08# But I'll waste some of yours, babe

6:57:08 > 6:57:11# If you waste some of mine

6:57:11 > 6:57:14# What a waste of time

6:57:14 > 6:57:17# Precious little time

6:57:17 > 6:57:20# But I'll waste some of yours, babe

6:57:20 > 6:57:22# If you waste some of mine

6:57:34 > 6:57:38# There's a moment that feels like a nothing

6:57:38 > 6:57:40# Until it's passed away

6:57:40 > 6:57:43# There's a glow and it won't last forever

6:57:43 > 6:57:46# Think about it every day

6:57:46 > 6:57:49# I don't know what you see in me

6:57:49 > 6:57:52# I don't know why you stay

6:57:52 > 6:57:54# Cos you don't owe me nothing

6:57:54 > 6:57:58# But you give it to me anyway

6:57:58 > 6:58:00# What a waste of time

6:58:00 > 6:58:03# Precious little time

6:58:03 > 6:58:06# I'll waste some of yours, babe

6:58:06 > 6:58:09# If you waste some of mine

6:58:09 > 6:58:12# What a waste of time

6:58:12 > 6:58:14# Precious little time

6:58:14 > 6:58:17# I'll waste some of yours, babe

6:58:17 > 6:58:20# If you waste some of mine

6:58:20 > 6:58:23# So you think that it's not really working

6:58:23 > 6:58:26# But, darling, look again

6:58:26 > 6:58:29# It's imperfect and that's why it's perfect

6:58:29 > 6:58:31# Other colours are so plain

6:58:31 > 6:58:34# You don't always see the best in me

6:58:34 > 6:58:37# And I don't know what to say

6:58:37 > 6:58:40# Cos you don't owe me nothing

6:58:40 > 6:58:43# But you give it to me anyway

6:58:43 > 6:58:46# What a waste of time

6:58:46 > 6:58:49# Precious little time

6:58:49 > 6:58:52# I'll waste some of yours, babe
