0:00:47 > 0:00:52William and his mother were in the country enjoying a picnic.

0:00:52 > 0:00:57"Did you close the gate, William?" his mother asked. "Can't remember."

0:00:57 > 0:00:59"You must go back and make sure."

0:00:59 > 0:01:02It was a long way back to the gate.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05A VERY long way.

0:01:06 > 0:01:11"It's miles!" thought William. "But I know a short-cut."

0:01:11 > 0:01:16A wish took him there in no time at all.

0:01:18 > 0:01:23"Oh! I DID leave the gate open! "Good thing I got here so quickly."

0:01:23 > 0:01:27"Oh-h! Not quick enough," said the farmer.

0:01:27 > 0:01:31"Woolly's got out. Strange sort of sheep is Woolly.

0:01:31 > 0:01:35"Near impossible to find, once he's lost.

0:01:35 > 0:01:40"He's a master of disguise. I dunno what's to be done."

0:01:40 > 0:01:45"I'll ask Mum if I can help you look for him," suggested William.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50"Not here. Maybe he's in the cowshed."

0:01:54 > 0:01:58"Hmm, just cows here," said the farmer.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00"Let's try the henhouse."

0:02:02 > 0:02:05"Nope," said William, "Where else?"

0:02:05 > 0:02:09"Hard to say. He's wily, that Woolly."

0:02:09 > 0:02:12"Maybe he's gone to the town."

0:02:12 > 0:02:16The farmer and William went. So did Woolly!

0:02:16 > 0:02:20"I'll go that way. You try t'other," said the farmer.

0:02:23 > 0:02:29"Where is he?! Maybe he'd come back if we got some nice food for him."

0:02:29 > 0:02:32So William wished for a haystack.

0:02:36 > 0:02:41"For Monsieur from the salad bar," said the waiter.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43"Baaa!" "That's what I said."

0:02:43 > 0:02:47"Woolly's not coming - but the wind is!"

0:02:47 > 0:02:50"Oh, watch out!"

0:02:53 > 0:02:56"How can I get Woolly back?"

0:02:57 > 0:03:00"I know! A sheepdog!"

0:03:04 > 0:03:07"Barkshaw, go and find Woolly!"

0:03:09 > 0:03:14The hunt was on. Barkshaw headed off in hot pursuit...

0:03:14 > 0:03:17of a cat!

0:03:22 > 0:03:27"That was very silly, Barkshaw. Now I'll have to rescue the cat."

0:03:30 > 0:03:32"Excuse me. Could you hold my dog?"

0:03:32 > 0:03:36"Baa-baaa!" "No, BarkSHAW."

0:03:36 > 0:03:39"Wait a minute...

0:03:39 > 0:03:43"Ha! Found you!"

0:03:43 > 0:03:48"Please don't make me go back to the fa-a-arm." "You must.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50"I can't. I'm so lonely there."

0:03:50 > 0:03:52"Why?"

0:03:52 > 0:03:59"I'm all alone in the field with no-one to play with." "No-one at all?"

0:03:59 > 0:04:02"Nobody." "That's terrible."

0:04:02 > 0:04:04"It's very ba-a-ad."

0:04:04 > 0:04:09"I'll find a friend for you!" said William, making a wish.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15"Oh, she's ma-a-arvellous!"

0:04:17 > 0:04:20"You'll never be lonely again."

0:04:21 > 0:04:27"I brought back Woolly. He won't run away now he's got a friend.

0:04:27 > 0:04:31"And I promise not to leave the gate open again.

0:04:31 > 0:04:36"It causes too much trouble - even for a boy with wish wellingtons."
