0:00:08 > 0:00:09Pssst!
0:00:09 > 0:00:11I'm Agent Colin.
0:00:17 > 0:00:18Ha-ha-ha!
0:00:19 > 0:00:23I'm not really a spy, I'm just pretending,
0:00:23 > 0:00:26like the little girl in tonight's bedtime story.
0:00:26 > 0:00:28Her name is Daisy
0:00:28 > 0:00:31and she really wants to be a spy.
0:00:31 > 0:00:33The story is called...
0:00:35 > 0:00:37..006 And A Bit.
0:00:40 > 0:00:42Daisy has made up her mind.
0:00:42 > 0:00:45She wasn't going to be a girl any more,
0:00:45 > 0:00:47she was going to be a spy.
0:00:47 > 0:00:50She'd drawn her spy's moustache on her top lip
0:00:50 > 0:00:52with a black felt-tip pen,
0:00:52 > 0:00:55she had found some dark glasses in a drawer,
0:00:55 > 0:00:59she had found some secret spy gadgets in her mum's bedroom.
0:00:59 > 0:01:02All she had to do now was speak in code.
0:01:02 > 0:01:07Code is a special spy language that only spies understand.
0:01:07 > 0:01:10Daisy had seen it used in spy films.
0:01:10 > 0:01:14Now, this time, it was for real.
0:01:15 > 0:01:21Daisy frowned mysteriously and crept unseen into the kitchen.
0:01:21 > 0:01:25"Hello, Daisy," said Mum, "What d'you want for tea tonight?"
0:01:25 > 0:01:30"The ostriches will be swimming in tomato sauce this evening,"
0:01:30 > 0:01:33said Daisy. Which, as any spy knows, means,
0:01:33 > 0:01:38"A big portion of chicken nuggets and lots of ketchup, please."
0:01:38 > 0:01:43Daisy's mum stared at Daisy and scratched her head.
0:01:43 > 0:01:47"Why are you speaking in silly words?" asked Daisy's mum.
0:01:47 > 0:01:51"They're not silly words," whispered Daisy mysteriously.
0:01:51 > 0:01:55"It's secret spy language and my name isn't Daisy any more,
0:01:55 > 0:01:59"it's...006 And A Bit."
0:02:00 > 0:02:04"And what are you intending to do with my hairbrush, 006 And A Bit?"
0:02:04 > 0:02:06asked Daisy's mum.
0:02:06 > 0:02:08"It's not a hairbrush,
0:02:08 > 0:02:11"it's my secret spy telephone," said Daisy.
0:02:12 > 0:02:17"And where are you going with my perfume bottle?" asked Daisy's mum.
0:02:17 > 0:02:23"It's not your perfume bottle," said Daisy. "It's my invisible ink."
0:02:23 > 0:02:27"And would I be wrong in thinking that that is my hairdryer?"
0:02:27 > 0:02:28said Daisy's mum.
0:02:28 > 0:02:30"Yes," whispered Daisy,
0:02:30 > 0:02:35"It's not a hairdryer, it's my secret...baddy zapper!"
0:02:37 > 0:02:42Daisy's mum shook her head and went to find the ironing board.
0:02:42 > 0:02:47006 And A Bit slipped invisibly into the back garden.
0:02:47 > 0:02:51"Hello, Daisy," said her neighbour. "How are you today?"
0:02:51 > 0:02:55"Good afternoon, Agent Goldfish," said Daisy.
0:02:55 > 0:02:58"Are your fins green or purple today?"
0:02:58 > 0:03:01Which, as any spy knows, means,
0:03:01 > 0:03:04"I'm fine, thanks, Mrs Pike, how are you?"
0:03:04 > 0:03:09Mrs Pike stared strangely at Daisy and went to mow her grass.
0:03:09 > 0:03:13Daisy slipped invisibly across the garden
0:03:13 > 0:03:17and went to give an important message to Mrs Pike's cat.
0:03:17 > 0:03:20"Meet me by the Golden Palace," she whispered.
0:03:20 > 0:03:22"And bring your furry overcoat."
0:03:22 > 0:03:25Which, as any spy knows, means,
0:03:25 > 0:03:28"Hello, Tiptoes, why don't you come and sit by the shed.
0:03:28 > 0:03:30"I want to stroke you."
0:03:30 > 0:03:33Tiptoes took one look at Daisy's hairdryer
0:03:33 > 0:03:35and skedaddled over the wall.
0:03:35 > 0:03:39Daisy dabbed on some more invisible ink
0:03:39 > 0:03:43and peeped out of the garden gate.
0:03:43 > 0:03:46"No-one will be able to see me now," she smiled.
0:03:46 > 0:03:52"Hello, Daisy," said her best friend, Gabby. "Can you come out to play?"
0:03:52 > 0:03:54"The laundry basket is full,
0:03:54 > 0:03:58"and the big, busy beaver has many clothes to fold," Daisy said.
0:03:58 > 0:04:00Which, as any spy knows, means,
0:04:00 > 0:04:04"Hi, Gabby, I'll just ask my mum, she's doing the ironing."
0:04:04 > 0:04:07But Gabby gave Daisy a strange look
0:04:07 > 0:04:11and went to find someone else to play with.
0:04:11 > 0:04:15Daisy took off her glasses and walked miserably back indoors.
0:04:15 > 0:04:19"What's the matter, 006 And A Bit?" asked her mum.
0:04:19 > 0:04:21"Aren't you playing spies any more?"
0:04:21 > 0:04:26"No, I'm not," sighed Daisy. "No-one understands my spy language,
0:04:26 > 0:04:29"they just look at me as though I'm silly."
0:04:29 > 0:04:34Daisy's mum stopped ironing and put her arm around Daisy's shoulders.
0:04:34 > 0:04:38"That must be because they're not real spies," whispered her mum.
0:04:38 > 0:04:43"If they were, they would understand everything you were saying."
0:04:43 > 0:04:47Daisy trudged into the living room and slumped onto the sofa.
0:04:47 > 0:04:50"Well, they don't understand what I'm saying,
0:04:50 > 0:04:54"there aren't any real spies round here, no-one understands me
0:04:54 > 0:04:58"and I'm not being a spy any more. Being a spy's stupid," she grumbled.
0:04:58 > 0:05:01Daisy was just about to turn on the TV
0:05:01 > 0:05:05when a mysterious looking stranger with a purple moustache and beard
0:05:05 > 0:05:07poked his head around the door.
0:05:07 > 0:05:11He had dark glasses on, just like Daisy.
0:05:11 > 0:05:16"Pssst," whispered the stranger in a deep, mysterious voice.
0:05:16 > 0:05:19"Have you seen 006 And A Bit anywhere?"
0:05:19 > 0:05:22Daisy stared back at the stranger in surprise.
0:05:22 > 0:05:27She put her dark glasses on again quickly and sat up straight.
0:05:27 > 0:05:32"Yes, I've seen...006 And A Bit," she nodded.
0:05:32 > 0:05:36"That's me, I'm...006 And A Bit."
0:05:36 > 0:05:41"That's good news," whispered the stranger,
0:05:41 > 0:05:45"because my name is, ahem, 0021...And A Bit,
0:05:45 > 0:05:47"and I'm a real spy too."
0:05:48 > 0:05:52"The coloured sprinkles will be meeting with the chocolate flake
0:05:52 > 0:05:56on the vanilla ice cream at tea time," whispered 0021 And A Bit.
0:05:56 > 0:05:59"And the crunchy cream biscuits and lemonade
0:05:59 > 0:06:02"will be meeting under the big, yellow duvet
0:06:02 > 0:06:07"when the clock strikes 12," continued the mysterious stranger.
0:06:07 > 0:06:11006 And A Bit frowned for a moment and clapped her hands excitedly,
0:06:11 > 0:06:13"Oh, goodie! I know what that means,
0:06:13 > 0:06:16"We're having my favourite pudding for tea
0:06:16 > 0:06:20"and then a midnight feast in your bed tonight!
0:06:20 > 0:06:22"I'll bring my comic and my torch too."
0:06:22 > 0:06:25Which, as anybody knows, means,
0:06:25 > 0:06:29"Thanks, Mum, you're the best spy in the world!"
0:06:30 > 0:06:34And that story was called 006 And A Bit.
0:06:34 > 0:06:38I think Daisy made a rather good spy, don't you?
0:06:38 > 0:06:41And I know someone else who is good at spy work...
0:06:42 > 0:06:44..Me!
0:06:44 > 0:06:47So, I'd better get back to business.
0:06:49 > 0:06:53And 00-Colin will decode more night time tales for you
0:06:53 > 0:06:55when the moon rises again.
0:06:57 > 0:07:04Which, as any good spy knows, means, I'll be back soon for another story.
0:07:04 > 0:07:05Good night!
