0:17:50 > 0:17:57.
0:18:06 > 0:18:10Hi, I'm Emilia and this ice is SO slippy.
0:18:10 > 0:18:15I'm having to hold on to Percival to keep me on my feet.
0:18:15 > 0:18:18Do you know what Percival is?
0:18:18 > 0:18:20That's right, he's a penguin.
0:18:20 > 0:18:23And I know a story about a little penguin
0:18:23 > 0:18:26who lives in a place with lots of ice.
0:18:26 > 0:18:30The story's called Penguin Post.
0:18:31 > 0:18:35Milo was the youngest in a long line of Penguin Post penguins
0:18:35 > 0:18:39but he wasn't going to be the youngest for long.
0:18:39 > 0:18:41Mum had laid an egg.
0:18:41 > 0:18:46Soon there would be another little penguin in the post office.
0:18:46 > 0:18:49Milo wasn't sure how he felt about this.
0:18:49 > 0:18:53"When will it hatch?" said Milo.
0:18:53 > 0:18:56"Any day now." said Milo's mum.
0:18:56 > 0:19:01But the egg still hadn't hatched when Milo's mum had to go
0:19:01 > 0:19:04on a food-finding expedition.
0:19:04 > 0:19:06Somebody had to sit on the egg.
0:19:06 > 0:19:11And that meant that somebody else had to deliver the mail.
0:19:11 > 0:19:15"You sit on the egg." said Milo's dad.
0:19:15 > 0:19:18"No. I want to deliver the mail." said Milo,
0:19:18 > 0:19:23tipping over the bag and grabbing a large parcel.
0:19:23 > 0:19:27With a sigh, Milo's dad laid the egg down
0:19:27 > 0:19:30and stuffed the mail back into the bag.
0:19:30 > 0:19:33Milo read the address on the parcel.
0:19:43 > 0:19:45"Brrrrr!"
0:19:45 > 0:19:50Milo set off across the ice until he reached the gate of number 11.
0:19:50 > 0:19:54He watched as Mrs Major opened her parcel.
0:19:54 > 0:19:57It seemed to be full of snow.
0:19:57 > 0:20:01"What are these feathers for?" asked Milo,
0:20:01 > 0:20:03chasing a handful across the garden.
0:20:03 > 0:20:07"I'm going to fill a quilt for baby bear with them."
0:20:07 > 0:20:10explained Mrs Major. "How's the egg?"
0:20:10 > 0:20:15"Not hatched yet." said Milo.
0:20:15 > 0:20:19The next parcel was soft and squishy
0:20:19 > 0:20:22and absolutely enormous.
0:20:22 > 0:20:24The label read...
0:20:31 > 0:20:33"Slippy!"
0:20:33 > 0:20:39Slipping and sliding, Milo made his way uphill to Treetops.
0:20:39 > 0:20:41Mama Oose was waiting for him.
0:20:41 > 0:20:44"At last!" she said.
0:20:44 > 0:20:48"Baby Mooseline will be so pleased. How's the egg, by the way?"
0:20:48 > 0:20:54"It's still an egg." said Milo, hauling the parcel inside.
0:20:54 > 0:20:57Mama Oose cut the string - snip!
0:20:57 > 0:21:00Tore the brown wrapping paper - rip!
0:21:00 > 0:21:03Lifted the lid on the box - creak!
0:21:03 > 0:21:07And took from the tissue paper - scrunch! -
0:21:07 > 0:21:12a singing, ringing moose papoose!
0:21:12 > 0:21:17When Milo left, Mama Oose was still trying to work out
0:21:17 > 0:21:21how to put Mooseline into the papoose.
0:21:21 > 0:21:25The next package was quite small and was addressed to...
0:21:36 > 0:21:38"Buzzzz."
0:21:38 > 0:21:42It was quite a long way to Vanity Hive,
0:21:42 > 0:21:44so Milo took the shortcut.
0:21:44 > 0:21:46"For me?" squeaked Mrs Tiffle,
0:21:46 > 0:21:50ripping open the package as Milo handed it to her.
0:21:50 > 0:21:56Out fell a tiny zzzleep suit.
0:21:56 > 0:22:00Mrs Tiffle tutted, "It's the wrong colour!"
0:22:00 > 0:22:05"Baby Tiffany would look like a hairy razzzberry in thizzz.
0:22:05 > 0:22:07"How's the egg?"
0:22:07 > 0:22:09Milo sighed,
0:22:09 > 0:22:13"It hasn't hatched yet."
0:22:13 > 0:22:18The sky was growing dark and Milo wanted to go home.
0:22:18 > 0:22:21He peered into his mailbag.
0:22:21 > 0:22:24Only two more parcels to deliver.
0:22:24 > 0:22:28He pulled out a small box addressed to...
0:22:36 > 0:22:42Milo sighed. That was a long way away!
0:22:42 > 0:22:44But the mail had to get through.
0:22:44 > 0:22:48So he walked across the ice and through the forest
0:22:48 > 0:22:50and up the rickety rope ladder
0:22:50 > 0:22:55to the lonely place in the sky where Stella Polaris lived.
0:22:55 > 0:22:58"Miss Polaris!" he called.
0:22:58 > 0:23:00"I have something for you!"
0:23:00 > 0:23:04"Thank you, Milo." she said.
0:23:04 > 0:23:07"I hope this is what I think it is.
0:23:07 > 0:23:11"I've been waiting such a long time."
0:23:11 > 0:23:14Stella Polaris opened the box.
0:23:14 > 0:23:17Inside was a tiny glass bottle.
0:23:17 > 0:23:21"It is!" she cried, un-stoppering the bottle
0:23:21 > 0:23:26and sprinkling the contents across the sky.
0:23:26 > 0:23:28Milo rubbed his eyes.
0:23:28 > 0:23:33In front of him, the darkness was peppered with little lights
0:23:33 > 0:23:38as the sky filled with thousands of baby stars.
0:23:38 > 0:23:43"Thank you SO much for delivering my babies, Milo."
0:23:43 > 0:23:47Stella Polaris said. "What a star you are!
0:23:47 > 0:23:52"Make a wish, any wish, and it will come true."
0:23:52 > 0:23:57Milo watched Stella Polaris hug her babies tight.
0:23:57 > 0:24:01And then something gave a loud CRACK!
0:24:01 > 0:24:05Milo peeked inside the mailbag.
0:24:05 > 0:24:08The egg!
0:24:08 > 0:24:12Suddenly, Milo knew exactly what to wish for.
0:24:12 > 0:24:14To be back home with his family
0:24:14 > 0:24:17with the egg held safely in his arms.
0:24:17 > 0:24:21"Special delivery!" he called.
0:24:21 > 0:24:23"For us?" said Milo's dad.
0:24:23 > 0:24:27"I love surprises in the post. Let's unwrap it."
0:24:27 > 0:24:32"I think it's unwrapping itself." said Milo.
0:24:32 > 0:24:37"I'm back!" called Milo's mum, coming over for a hug.
0:24:37 > 0:24:38"How's the egg?"
0:24:38 > 0:24:43"It's a boy!" said Milo.
0:24:43 > 0:24:45"Good heavens!" said Milo's dad,
0:24:45 > 0:24:49reading the label on the parcel he'd been trying to hatch all day.
0:24:49 > 0:24:54"For a very special big brother."
0:24:54 > 0:24:58Now who in the world could that be?
0:24:58 > 0:25:02And that story was called Penguin Post.
0:25:02 > 0:25:04That was a great surprise!
0:25:04 > 0:25:10Now, Percival, I need you to get me back to the other side of the rink.
0:25:10 > 0:25:13While I do that, it's time for you to go to bed.
0:25:13 > 0:25:16I'll see you soon for another story.
0:25:16 > 0:25:19Right, then, Percival. Off we go!
