0:06:38 > 0:06:41Elmer the patchwork elephant smiled.
0:06:41 > 0:06:48It was two days before Papa Red's visit. The youngsters were excited.
0:06:48 > 0:06:54"Take them somewhere, Elmer," said an elephant. "We'll prepare the gifts."
0:06:54 > 0:06:59"Come on," Elmer called. "We'll get the tree."
0:06:59 > 0:07:07The young elephants ran after Elmer. "Are we off to Papa Red?" they asked.
0:07:07 > 0:07:13"Close by," said Elmer. "Have you seen him?" Elmer smiled. "Yes."
0:07:13 > 0:07:18For the rest of the walk, they asked about Papa Red.
0:07:18 > 0:07:21The walk went up and up.
0:07:21 > 0:07:29The jungle became pine trees and then for the first time, they saw snow!
0:07:29 > 0:07:32Elmer went to choose a tree.
0:07:32 > 0:07:35"Hello" said a moose.
0:07:35 > 0:07:41"Let them see Papa Red tomorrow, but keep them hidden. We'll be busy."
0:07:41 > 0:07:48"We won't bother you," said Elmer. Elmer chose a tree.
0:07:48 > 0:07:52The youngsters helped to carry it.
0:07:52 > 0:07:57"Straight to bed when we get home," said Elmer.
0:07:57 > 0:08:02The next day, everybody helped to decorate the tree.
0:08:02 > 0:08:09"Presents!" shouted the youngsters. Presents were placed around the tree.
0:08:09 > 0:08:16When it was ready, the other animals admired it. "Wonderful!" they said.
0:08:16 > 0:08:23Later, the big elephants were asleep, and Elmer collected the youngsters.
0:08:23 > 0:08:30"This is your chance to see Papa Red. Hide where you can see him."
0:08:30 > 0:08:32The youngsters hid.
0:08:32 > 0:08:38Then, out of the sky came six moose, pulling a sleigh carrying Papa Red.
0:08:38 > 0:08:45Elmer helped load the presents into the sleigh. "Thanks," said Papa Red.
0:08:45 > 0:08:51Then he winked. "I'm glad we weren't seen!" Papa Red flew off.
0:08:51 > 0:08:58The young ones rushed out, shouting, "We saw him! He took the presents."
0:08:58 > 0:09:00Elmer said, "We give.
0:09:00 > 0:09:07"Papa Red takes the presents to whoever needs them the most."
0:09:07 > 0:09:14Once everyone was asleep, Elmer tiptoed among the young elephants.
0:09:14 > 0:09:18He left the present Papa Red had given them. Elmer smiled.
0:09:18 > 0:09:22"Good old Papa Red," he said.
0:09:22 > 0:09:27And that story was called Elmer And Papa Red. Time to go to sleep now.
