0:23:02 > 0:23:05CBeebies Bedtime Story.
0:23:10 > 0:23:12Eugh-oh-oh!
0:23:12 > 0:23:14Oh, hello! My name's Toby.
0:23:14 > 0:23:16I was looking up at the night sky,
0:23:16 > 0:23:20looking at the Moon. Seeing if I could spot anything on it,
0:23:20 > 0:23:24because that's where the Loon lives. On the Moon.
0:23:24 > 0:23:28What's that? You've not heard of the Loon?
0:23:28 > 0:23:33Well, tonight's bedtime story is about the Loon,
0:23:33 > 0:23:39and it's called The Loon On The Moon, by Chae Strathie and Emily Golden.
0:23:39 > 0:23:43This is the Loon who lives on the Moon.
0:23:43 > 0:23:47Every night he zooms down to Earth in his Loon zoomer,
0:23:47 > 0:23:51to suck up all the dreams that leak from children's ears.
0:23:51 > 0:23:53Like steam from a kettle.
0:23:53 > 0:23:58Then he zooms back up again, and uses the dream steam to power the engine
0:23:58 > 0:24:03that lights up the lightbulbs that make the Moon glow.
0:24:03 > 0:24:09But one evening the Loon zoomed down to find the dreams had all dried up!
0:24:09 > 0:24:11"Oh, dear," he said,
0:24:11 > 0:24:15"Now I'll have to get my dream steam from somewhere else.
0:24:15 > 0:24:19"Perhaps the Moptops on Mercury have some."
0:24:19 > 0:24:22So the Loon zoomed with a boom to Mercury.
0:24:22 > 0:24:27"Hello, Moptops, do you have any dream steam?" he asked.
0:24:27 > 0:24:32The Moptops stopped dancing. "No dream steam here, Moon Loon,"
0:24:32 > 0:24:37they all chorused together, "Try the Noodles from Neptune."
0:24:37 > 0:24:40So the Loon zoomed with a boom to Neptune.
0:24:40 > 0:24:46"Hello, Noodles, do you have any dream steam?" he asked.
0:24:46 > 0:24:49The Noodles were sitting on their Noodle nests,
0:24:49 > 0:24:52waiting for their Noodle eggs to hatch.
0:24:52 > 0:24:56"Coo, our dream steam is all finished," they cooed,
0:24:56 > 0:24:59"Try the Vimtingles from Venus."
0:24:59 > 0:25:02So the Loon zoomed with a boom to Venus,
0:25:02 > 0:25:04but the Vimtingles were far too busy
0:25:04 > 0:25:09telling each other jokes and laughing to care about dream steam.
0:25:09 > 0:25:12The Yoo-Hoos from Uranus weren't much help,
0:25:12 > 0:25:16nor were the Sindings from Saturns, the Mini-Moos from Mars,
0:25:16 > 0:25:18the Jiffles from Jupiter,
0:25:18 > 0:25:21nor the Polly-Wolly-Plumpkins from Pluto!
0:25:21 > 0:25:24"Fizzbungle," said the Loon.
0:25:24 > 0:25:29No dream steam meant no power, which meant no Moon!
0:25:29 > 0:25:33That night the Loon only had enough power to light up
0:25:33 > 0:25:36three quarters of the Moon,
0:25:36 > 0:25:39then half the next night, then a quarter,
0:25:39 > 0:25:44until finally the light in the Moon went out altogether.
0:25:44 > 0:25:49What was the Loon going to do? He was feeling very sad,
0:25:49 > 0:25:52sitting all alone on his dark Moon.
0:25:52 > 0:25:57When, all of a sudden, he had a fantastic, brilliant,
0:25:57 > 0:26:00extraordinarily exciting idea!
0:26:00 > 0:26:02As quick as a flash
0:26:02 > 0:26:06he wrote down the tale of his outer space search for dream steam,
0:26:06 > 0:26:10then he wrote it again, and again, and again,
0:26:10 > 0:26:13until he had an enormous pile of stories.
0:26:13 > 0:26:16Then he zoomed with a boom down to Earth
0:26:16 > 0:26:19and left a story in every child's room.
0:26:19 > 0:26:23When they heard the story, their heads were filled with Moptops
0:26:23 > 0:26:26and Noodles and Vimtingles and Jiffles,
0:26:26 > 0:26:32and that night they all dreamed dreams of marvellous things,
0:26:32 > 0:26:35and the Loon could light up the Moon.
0:26:37 > 0:26:42Well, it's time for you to go to bed and have lots of sweet dreams,
0:26:42 > 0:26:46so the Loon can collect the steam from your dreams.
0:26:46 > 0:26:50I'll see you soon for another bedtime story. Night, night.
0:26:50 > 0:26:54Now, let's have another look at the Moon.
0:26:54 > 0:26:59I'm sure I'll be able to see the Loon if I look really carefully.
