0:06:50 > 0:06:57.
0:07:07 > 0:07:10I'll just put some more orange on here...
0:07:13 > 0:07:18..and then, I think, a bit of purple.
0:07:18 > 0:07:20Oh.
0:07:20 > 0:07:24Oh, I can't find my purple crayon.
0:07:24 > 0:07:27Hello, I'm Liza. Do you like my drawing?
0:07:27 > 0:07:31It's the night sky with fireworks.
0:07:31 > 0:07:35I REALLY want to add a purple firework,
0:07:35 > 0:07:38but I can't seem to find my purple crayon!
0:07:38 > 0:07:43Milo, in tonight's bedtime story, has lost HIS favourite crayon.
0:07:43 > 0:07:45Shall we find out where it's gone?
0:07:45 > 0:07:52The story is by Dan Taylor and it's called Milo And The Moon Kangaroo.
0:07:52 > 0:07:58It was way past bedtime and an imaginative Milo Montgomery
0:07:58 > 0:08:02was busy doodling instead of sleeping.
0:08:02 > 0:08:07He was just about to colour in a dinosaur attacking a skyscraper
0:08:07 > 0:08:15when - Oh, no! - he noticed that his favourite green crayon was missing.
0:08:15 > 0:08:19Milo thought hard about where it could...be.
0:08:19 > 0:08:21Then he remembered - that afternoon,
0:08:21 > 0:08:24he'd been using his crayons in the garden.
0:08:24 > 0:08:30Milo rushed to his bedroom window and peered into the garden below.
0:08:30 > 0:08:37There, glistening in the moonlight, was a green crayon trail.
0:08:37 > 0:08:42Milo raced downstairs. He followed the trail along the garden path,
0:08:42 > 0:08:46through the garden gate, down Mortimer Street,
0:08:46 > 0:08:52through the park, and straight into...a jungle!
0:08:52 > 0:08:56"Have you seen my favourite green crayon?" asked Milo,
0:08:56 > 0:09:01as he swung through the vines with a bunch of mischievous monkeys,
0:09:01 > 0:09:03but nobody had.
0:09:03 > 0:09:07So Milo swung higher and higher,
0:09:07 > 0:09:11right onto...a pirate ship!
0:09:11 > 0:09:17Carefully, Milo climbed down the rope ladder and came face-to-face
0:09:17 > 0:09:22with Captain Whiskers and his crew of pirate kittens.
0:09:22 > 0:09:27"Have you seen my favourite green crayon?" asked Milo,
0:09:27 > 0:09:31as they bobbed over the waves, searching for treasure...
0:09:31 > 0:09:33but nobody had.
0:09:33 > 0:09:38So Milo climbed into a rowing boat and headed for shore.
0:09:38 > 0:09:39He tied up his boat.
0:09:39 > 0:09:45Then he followed the trail further and further
0:09:45 > 0:09:49and further until...
0:09:49 > 0:09:53he was right in the middle of a desert.
0:09:53 > 0:09:55Milo looked around.
0:09:55 > 0:09:58There wasn't a trace of crayon in sight.
0:09:58 > 0:10:04He was all alone. Well and truly lost!
0:10:04 > 0:10:10With tears in his eyes, Milo looked up into the night sky
0:10:10 > 0:10:14and there, to his amazement, was the trail!
0:10:14 > 0:10:19Each sparkly star was connected, like a giant join-the-dots puzzle.
0:10:19 > 0:10:25"But I'll never get up there!" sighed Milo, sadly.
0:10:26 > 0:10:30"Don't be so sure about that!" said a voice.
0:10:30 > 0:10:35Milo turned around and, out of nowhere, a rocket had appeared!
0:10:35 > 0:10:38"Come on, jump in," called the pilot.
0:10:38 > 0:10:41Milo couldn't believe his eyes.
0:10:41 > 0:10:44He hurried inside and fastened his seatbelt.
0:10:44 > 0:10:50Three...two...one...
0:10:50 > 0:10:51blast off!
0:10:51 > 0:10:57Suddenly, Milo was zooming through clouds and space dust,
0:10:57 > 0:11:03past stars and planets, all the way...to the moon!
0:11:05 > 0:11:08Milo bounced over moon rocks and around craters
0:11:08 > 0:11:11until he reached a moon cave.
0:11:11 > 0:11:18And that was when he spotted the crayon trail culprit!
0:11:18 > 0:11:24"What are you doing with my favourite green crayon?" asked Milo.
0:11:24 > 0:11:26"And who are you, anyway?"
0:11:26 > 0:11:30"I'm a moon kangaroo," replied the creature.
0:11:30 > 0:11:34"And it's not your crayon. It's mine. I found it.
0:11:34 > 0:11:37"Come on. I'll show you."
0:11:37 > 0:11:45The moon kangaroo took Milo to a huge crater, filled with toys.
0:11:45 > 0:11:52"Every toy that gets lost on Earth ends up here," she explained.
0:11:52 > 0:11:57Milo had never seen so many toys before.
0:11:57 > 0:11:59"Can we play with them?" he asked.
0:11:59 > 0:12:03Milo and the moon kangaroo played for hours.
0:12:03 > 0:12:06They doodled and coloured using Milo's crayons
0:12:06 > 0:12:09and they became the best of friends.
0:12:09 > 0:12:13Before long, it was time for Milo to go home.
0:12:13 > 0:12:18"Can I have my green crayon back now?" he asked.
0:12:18 > 0:12:20The moon kangaroo looked sad
0:12:20 > 0:12:24and Milo felt mean, because he knew how much she liked to doodle.
0:12:24 > 0:12:28Then he had an idea.
0:12:28 > 0:12:31"You can have my pink crayon instead," he said.
0:12:31 > 0:12:35The moon kangaroo bounced with happiness.
0:12:35 > 0:12:39Pink was her favourite colour.
0:12:39 > 0:12:43Sadly, Milo said goodbye to his new friend.
0:12:43 > 0:12:48Then he followed the trail all the way home.
0:12:48 > 0:12:52Later that night, Milo awoke in his cosy bed.
0:12:53 > 0:12:56"Oh, it must all have been a dream," he smiled.
0:12:57 > 0:13:03But when he looked inside his crayon box, there was his green crayon.
0:13:04 > 0:13:09And an empty space where the pink crayon should have been.
0:13:09 > 0:13:13Could it really have been one big, night-time adventure?
0:13:14 > 0:13:19And that story was called Milo And The Moon Kangaroo.
0:13:19 > 0:13:24I wonder if the moon kangaroo has taken my purple crayon.
0:13:24 > 0:13:27I'll just have to zoom off to the moon to find out.
0:13:27 > 0:13:30And while I do, it's time for you to go to bed.
0:13:30 > 0:13:34So I'll see you soon for another story. Na-night!
0:13:34 > 0:13:40Right, I'm off to the moon. One, two, three, blast off!
