0:06:50 > 0:06:57.
0:07:03 > 0:07:06CBeebies Bedtime Story.
0:07:07 > 0:07:11Well, there's none behind there. That's good.
0:07:12 > 0:07:15And there's none under there. Also good.
0:07:15 > 0:07:17Ah! Oh.
0:07:18 > 0:07:21Hello, I'm Lee.
0:07:21 > 0:07:23Before I settle down for a story,
0:07:23 > 0:07:25I thought I'd make extra, doubly sure
0:07:25 > 0:07:29that there was absolutely no monsters around here.
0:07:29 > 0:07:32Because it's time for tonight's Bedtime Story
0:07:32 > 0:07:36and it's quite hard to read a story if there's monsters hiding nearby,
0:07:36 > 0:07:41but we're all right. There's none in sight.
0:07:41 > 0:07:47Now, this story is by Ed Vere and it's called Bedtime For Monsters.
0:07:49 > 0:07:53Do you ever wonder if somewhere, not too far away,
0:07:53 > 0:07:56there might be monsters?
0:07:56 > 0:07:59Because just supposing there are monsters,
0:07:59 > 0:08:03do you think that this monster might be licking his lips
0:08:03 > 0:08:06and thinking about you?
0:08:06 > 0:08:09And if this monster is thinking about you,
0:08:09 > 0:08:14maybe he's thinking about you in an eating you up kind of way?
0:08:14 > 0:08:19I hope not, because he's coming to find you right now.
0:08:19 > 0:08:22"Ring-a-ding-ding!" as he bicycles bumpily
0:08:22 > 0:08:26through a dark and terrible forest. "Bump, bumpity-bump".
0:08:26 > 0:08:29Do you think he's smiling because he's remembered
0:08:29 > 0:08:31to pack his knife and fork?
0:08:31 > 0:08:33And as he crosses the gloopy, shloopy swamp -
0:08:33 > 0:08:35goop, goop, shloop,
0:08:35 > 0:08:38do you think he's imagining just how good you'll taste
0:08:38 > 0:08:41all covered in ketchup?
0:08:41 > 0:08:44And as he tiptoes through the thorns and thistles -
0:08:44 > 0:08:47scritch, scratch, ouch,
0:08:47 > 0:08:49do you think he'll decide that, actually,
0:08:49 > 0:08:53you'll taste even more delicious squished and then squashed
0:08:53 > 0:08:56onto hot, buttered toast?
0:08:56 > 0:08:57And at this very moment,
0:08:57 > 0:09:00as he climbs into the cold and snowy mountains,
0:09:00 > 0:09:04getting closer and closer to you.
0:09:04 > 0:09:09Don't you think he'll be feeling very hungry indeed?
0:09:09 > 0:09:12You're not scared, are you?
0:09:12 > 0:09:15Because if he is feeling very hungry indeed,
0:09:15 > 0:09:19while he searches high, low, up, down, in, out, all over town,
0:09:19 > 0:09:24maybe you'll hear his big, empty tummy
0:09:24 > 0:09:27r-r-r-r-umbling.
0:09:27 > 0:09:30And g-r-r-r-r-umbling.
0:09:30 > 0:09:33And if you do hear a r-r-r-r-umbling
0:09:33 > 0:09:35and a g-r-r-r-r-umbling,
0:09:35 > 0:09:39you might also hear a creak, creak, creak,
0:09:39 > 0:09:41as he starts to climb the stairs.
0:09:41 > 0:09:44And as he opens your bedroom door,
0:09:44 > 0:09:47do you think he's licking his lips cos he wants to gobble you up?
0:09:47 > 0:09:52Oh, no. It's much worse than that.
0:09:52 > 0:09:57This monster wants a disgustingly big...
0:09:58 > 0:10:00..goodnight kiss!
0:10:00 > 0:10:02Kissy, kissy, kissy!
0:10:02 > 0:10:05Because it's bedtime for monsters everywhere.
0:10:05 > 0:10:08Big ones, like him, and little ones.
0:10:08 > 0:10:09Just like you.
0:10:11 > 0:10:14Did you really think he'd eat you up?
0:10:14 > 0:10:16How silly!
0:10:16 > 0:10:19Although you could leave out a little bedtime snack,
0:10:19 > 0:10:21just in case.
0:10:23 > 0:10:26And that story was called Bedtime For Monsters.
0:10:29 > 0:10:31You know what?
0:10:31 > 0:10:33I think I'll leave out just a little snack,
0:10:33 > 0:10:37just in case there are any hungry monsters around.
0:10:37 > 0:10:40And before I do that, it's time for you to go to bed.
0:10:40 > 0:10:45And if you do know a monster, don't forget to give it a goodnight kiss.
0:10:45 > 0:10:49And I'll see you soon for another story. Night-night.
