0:00:22 > 0:00:25Now, tonight's story is about a little creature

0:00:25 > 0:00:28who is trying to find out who he is.

0:00:28 > 0:00:30There are lots of questions in the tale,

0:00:35 > 0:00:40One hot, hot day in the middle of the deep, deep jungle,

0:00:40 > 0:00:44a strange little creature hatched out of an egg.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47He scratched and he yawned

0:00:47 > 0:00:52and he opened his big round eyes and looked around him.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54"Who am I?" he asked himself.

0:00:54 > 0:00:56"Where do I come from?"

0:00:56 > 0:01:02Off he went, plodding through the tall, tall grass to find out.

0:01:02 > 0:01:06Soon, he met a creature with a very long neck.

0:01:06 > 0:01:10"Excuse me", said the strange creature, chirpily.

0:01:10 > 0:01:13"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:01:13 > 0:01:16"I have no idea", chuckled the creature.

0:01:16 > 0:01:17"I know that I'm a giraffe

0:01:17 > 0:01:21"and I'm the tallest animal in the whole wide world,

0:01:21 > 0:01:24"but I do not know what sort of creature you are."

0:01:24 > 0:01:29So the strange little creature plodded on through the tall grass.

0:01:29 > 0:01:33Soon, he met a creature with two great tusks.

0:01:33 > 0:01:37"Excuse me", said the strange creature, cheerfully,

0:01:37 > 0:01:41"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:01:41 > 0:01:44"I have no idea", trumpeted the creature.

0:01:44 > 0:01:46"I know I am the elephant.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50"I am the strongest animal in the whole wide world.

0:01:50 > 0:01:54"But I do not know what sort of creature you are."

0:01:54 > 0:01:58The strange little creature plodded on through the tall grass.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02Soon, he met a creature with very long legs.

0:02:02 > 0:02:06"Excuse me", said the strange creature, shyly.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:02:09 > 0:02:12"I have no idea", snarled the creature.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16"I know I'm a cheetah - the fastest animal in the whole wide world,

0:02:16 > 0:02:19"but I do not know what sort of creature you are."

0:02:19 > 0:02:24The strange little creature plodded on through the tall grass.

0:02:24 > 0:02:28Soon, he met a creature with a sharp, pointed horn.

0:02:28 > 0:02:32"Excuse me", said the strange creature, anxiously.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:02:35 > 0:02:37"I have no idea", snorted the creature.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39"I know that I am the rhinoceros -

0:02:39 > 0:02:42"the toughest animal in the whole wide world,

0:02:42 > 0:02:46"but I do not know what sort of creature you are."

0:02:46 > 0:02:50So the strange little creature plodded on through the tall grass.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54Soon, he met a creature with a very hairy body.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57"Excuse me", said the strange little creature, timidly.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:03:00 > 0:03:03"I have no idea", chattered the creature.

0:03:03 > 0:03:06"I know that I am a chimpanzee -

0:03:06 > 0:03:08"the cleverest animal in the whole wide world,

0:03:08 > 0:03:11"but I do not know what sort of creature you are."

0:03:11 > 0:03:16So the strange little creature plodded on through the tall grass.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19Soon, he came to a deep, dark, muddy river.

0:03:19 > 0:03:24There, resting on the bank was a creature with great yellow eyes

0:03:24 > 0:03:27and a wide, smiling mouth.

0:03:27 > 0:03:32"Excuse me", said the strange creature, desperately.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35"Could you tell me who I am and where I come from?"

0:03:35 > 0:03:38"Yes, I can," snapped the creature.

0:03:38 > 0:03:42"You can?" exclaimed the strange little creature.

0:03:42 > 0:03:47"I can, but you'll have to come a little closer,"

0:03:47 > 0:03:50whispered the creature, smiling,

0:03:50 > 0:03:52and opening wide his jaws.

0:03:52 > 0:03:56"Climb onto my nose and I will tell you."

0:03:56 > 0:04:00So the strange little creature plodded closer

0:04:00 > 0:04:03and closer and closer.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07Just as he was about to climb onto the crocodile's nose,

0:04:07 > 0:04:10he heard a voice behind him. "There you are!"

0:04:10 > 0:04:15He turned to see a creature just like him, but much, much bigger.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18"Who are you?" asked the strange creature.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21"I'm your mother," said the big, strange creature.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24"And you're my little baby chameleon -

0:04:24 > 0:04:29"the most beautiful and unusual creature in the whole wide world.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32"I have been wandering around the jungle

0:04:32 > 0:04:34"wondering where you had got to.

0:04:34 > 0:04:38"Now, come along and meet your brothers and sisters."

0:04:38 > 0:04:42Well, that story was called Who Am I?

0:04:42 > 0:04:46The strange creature wasn't so strange after all.

0:04:46 > 0:04:50He found out exactly who he was and where he belonged.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54I expect you're snuggled up where you belong. Great stuff.
