0:13:21 > 0:13:25Paul and Sally could hear the first guests arriving.

0:13:28 > 0:13:31They crept to the top of the stairs.
0:13:31 > 0:13:35Lady Pom-Pom their dog came, too.
0:13:35 > 0:13:37Paul held up his teddy Mr Puddles
0:13:37 > 0:13:41so he could see the party starting downstairs.
0:13:41 > 0:13:43"He'll fall," warned Sally.
0:13:43 > 0:13:45But it was too late.
0:13:45 > 0:13:48Mr Puddles tumbled through the banisters.
0:13:48 > 0:13:52"Uh-oh!" cried Paul.
0:13:52 > 0:13:55"What shall we do?" said Sally.
0:13:55 > 0:13:57"Go, go, go!" said Paul.
0:13:57 > 0:14:00So that's exactly what they did.
0:14:00 > 0:14:03Whoosh! They slid down the banister
0:14:03 > 0:14:05and landed bump at the bottom.
0:14:05 > 0:14:10"Quick!" said Sally. "Before anybody sees us."
0:14:10 > 0:14:14They peeked into the party, looking for Mr Puddles.
0:14:14 > 0:14:18"The suit of armour can be our look-out," said Sally.
0:14:18 > 0:14:23"Come on! I can't see Mr Puddles here," whispered Sally.

0:14:25 > 0:14:29And they sneaked through the corridor towards a tiny secret door
0:14:29 > 0:14:34hidden in the wall and up into a secret passageway.
0:14:34 > 0:14:37It was dark and spooky inside
0:14:37 > 0:14:40and Sally shone her torch around.
0:14:40 > 0:14:42"Uh-oh!" said Paul.
0:14:42 > 0:14:47"It's all right, it's only a dusty old bear," said Sally.
0:14:47 > 0:14:50"I can't see Mr Puddles here. Come on."
0:14:50 > 0:14:54They crawled along the passageway until finally,
0:14:54 > 0:14:56out they popped in the kitchen.
0:14:56 > 0:15:00Mrs Goggins the cook was just putting something in the oven.
0:15:00 > 0:15:03"Quick!" said Sally. "Hide!"
0:15:03 > 0:15:07She lifted the lid of an enormous silver dish.
0:15:07 > 0:15:09It was full of cakes.
0:15:09 > 0:15:14Paul and Sally had just hopped in and put a cake in their mouths
0:15:14 > 0:15:18when the silver dish began to rock and sway.
0:15:18 > 0:15:21"Uh-oh!" said Paul.
0:15:21 > 0:15:24"Wow!" whispered Sally.
0:15:24 > 0:15:28PEOPLE CHATTER
0:15:28 > 0:15:31The waiter lifted the lid of the silver dish
0:15:31 > 0:15:34and Paul and Sally darted out
0:15:34 > 0:15:37and disguised themselves as a vase of flowers.
0:15:37 > 0:15:41Then a candelabra, then as quick as a flash,
0:15:41 > 0:15:45they shimmied up the statue to get a proper view.
0:15:45 > 0:15:48"Whee!" said Paul.
0:15:48 > 0:15:51"I think Mr Puddles is this way," shouted Sally.
0:15:51 > 0:15:55And on the next swing, they climbed down the curtains
0:15:55 > 0:15:57and hid under the table.
0:15:57 > 0:16:00And there was Mr Puddles.
0:16:00 > 0:16:02"Lady Pom-Pom!" Sally said.
0:16:02 > 0:16:05"Give Mr Puddles back right now!"
0:16:05 > 0:16:09Lady Pom-Pom looked at Paul and Sally
0:16:09 > 0:16:11and then she jumped up and dashed away.
0:16:11 > 0:16:14CROCKERY SMASHES
0:16:14 > 0:16:18"It's not funny!" said Sally as they rushed up the stairs.
0:16:18 > 0:16:20"Give him back!"
0:16:20 > 0:16:23"Uh-oh!" said Paul.
0:16:23 > 0:16:26Sally and Paul followed the messy trail
0:16:26 > 0:16:28right back into the bedroom.
0:16:28 > 0:16:31But where was Lady Pom-Pom now?
0:16:31 > 0:16:34"Drop!" ordered Paul
0:16:34 > 0:16:37and Mr Puddles fell into his arms.
0:16:37 > 0:16:40"Phew!" said Sally.
0:16:40 > 0:16:44"We got him back and nobody even saw!"
