0:00:30 > 0:00:36Little Annie in tonight's bedtime story just loves her snuggles.

0:00:43 > 0:00:48It's quiet in the morning, when there's no-one else around.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51Annie lies in bed and listens.

0:00:52 > 0:00:56HE WHISPERS There's not a single sound!

0:00:56 > 0:00:58It's cold out on the landing,

0:00:58 > 0:01:00as she's peeping round the doors.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03Her mama's smiling back at her,

0:01:03 > 0:01:05and Papa only snores.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10Annie climbs up Mama's tummy

0:01:10 > 0:01:12and she wiggles down in bed.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15They're a cosy snuggle sandwich.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18She's the jam and they're the bread.

0:01:18 > 0:01:24Then she and Mama tiptoe to the kitchen, down the stair.

0:01:24 > 0:01:30Mama lights the gas and warms the milk for her and Edward Bear.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33Mama shouts to wake the others,

0:01:33 > 0:01:34"Get up!" We hear her roar.

0:01:34 > 0:01:38So only Annie's watching when her teddy hits the floor.

0:01:38 > 0:01:43Poor old Edward! Sad and all alone.

0:01:43 > 0:01:47Annie didn't mean to drop you on the cold, hard stone!

0:01:47 > 0:01:52Here comes Annie's papa in his tidy suit and tie.

0:01:52 > 0:01:56He's singing and he's joking. He's a happy morning guy!

0:01:56 > 0:01:59Next, there's Annie's sister, rushing to get ready.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03She finds her bag and hat and coat,

0:02:03 > 0:02:06but no-one finds poor Teddy.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08In stomps the noisy one,

0:02:08 > 0:02:10her teenage brother, Joe.

0:02:10 > 0:02:12He turns on the radio

0:02:12 > 0:02:14as loud as it'll go!

0:02:14 > 0:02:19They're all bashing around the kitchen, crashing up and down.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21And suddenly, they're gone,

0:02:21 > 0:02:24as Papa's car roars off to town.

0:02:24 > 0:02:27At last, her mama hears her.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29"Oh, have you lost your bear?"

0:02:29 > 0:02:34She lifts her from her high chair. They're searching everywhere.

0:02:34 > 0:02:36He isn't on the table,

0:02:36 > 0:02:38he isn't on the floor.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42He isn't in the kitchen sink, he's not outside the door!

0:02:42 > 0:02:43He isn't on the landing,

0:02:43 > 0:02:45and he isn't in the bed!

0:02:45 > 0:02:49He's in the doggy basket,

0:02:49 > 0:02:52snuggled up with Fred!

0:02:52 > 0:02:54It's quiet in the morning.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56Now Teddy's back again.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59The morning rush is over.

0:02:59 > 0:03:02Annie's favourite time is when

0:03:02 > 0:03:04there's only her and Mama.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07No more fuss and clutter.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10Now THEY'RE the snuggle sandwich,

0:03:10 > 0:03:15and Ted's the peanut butter! HE LAUGHS

0:03:16 > 0:03:19And that story was called The Snuggle Sandwich.
