0:15:23 > 0:15:27When Winnie the witch turned over the page on her calendar,
0:15:27 > 0:15:32she saw a big red circle around Friday 13th.
0:15:32 > 0:15:35"That's my birthday," she said.
0:15:35 > 0:15:38I'll have a party this year, Wilbur.
0:15:38 > 0:15:41"Pur-r-r-r-r", said Wilbur.
0:15:41 > 0:15:43He loved parties.
0:15:43 > 0:15:47"What kind of party?" Winnie wondered.
0:15:47 > 0:15:50"I know! A garden party."
0:15:50 > 0:15:53On Monday, Winnie wrote out the invitations,
0:15:53 > 0:15:56and sent them by Winnie e-mail.
0:15:56 > 0:15:59She invited Auntie Alice, Uncle Owen,
0:15:59 > 0:16:02her three sisters, Wanda, Wilma and Wendy,
0:16:02 > 0:16:06all of her friends and cousin Cuthbert.
0:16:06 > 0:16:08On Tuesday, she made herself a party dress,
0:16:08 > 0:16:11and a matching bow for Wilbur.
0:16:11 > 0:16:13"Pur-r-r-r," said Wilbur.
0:16:13 > 0:16:16"I look lovely," he thought.
0:16:16 > 0:16:21On Wednesday, Winnie made lots and lots of food.
0:16:21 > 0:16:22Wilbur helped.
0:16:22 > 0:16:25Thursday was the day to get the garden ready.
0:16:25 > 0:16:27Winnie went outside.
0:16:27 > 0:16:30It looked rather scruffy.
0:16:30 > 0:16:33Then, Winnie had a very good idea.
0:16:33 > 0:16:36She took out her wand, waved it,
0:16:36 > 0:16:39shouted, "Abracadabra!"
0:16:40 > 0:16:43And the garden was ready for the party.
0:16:44 > 0:16:47"That was easy," Winnie said.

0:16:49 > 0:16:53"Oh, yes. I need a surprise.
0:16:53 > 0:16:56"A good party always has a surprise.
0:16:56 > 0:16:59"I'll have to think about that."
0:16:59 > 0:17:03Friday 13th was a lovely sunny day, which was lucky.
0:17:03 > 0:17:07At two o'clock, Winnie's guests arrived.
0:17:07 > 0:17:10"Happy birthday, Winnie!" they shouted.
0:17:10 > 0:17:13And they piled up the presents on the lawn.
0:17:13 > 0:17:18Wanda, Wilma and Wendy gave Winnie a magic carpet.
0:17:18 > 0:17:21She'd always wanted one of those.
0:17:21 > 0:17:23Uncle Owen gave her a bat in a cage,
0:17:23 > 0:17:26and she'd never wanted one of those.
0:17:26 > 0:17:30Auntie Alice gave her a book of special spells.
0:17:30 > 0:17:33And there was a magic trumpet from cousin Cuthbert.
0:17:33 > 0:17:37"Oh! Let's play some games," Winnie said.
0:17:37 > 0:17:40First, they played musical broomsticks.
0:17:40 > 0:17:42That was fun,
0:17:42 > 0:17:44but there was lots of pushing.
0:17:44 > 0:17:49Uncle Owen pushed Auntie Alice into a prickle bush.
0:17:49 > 0:17:50Ouch!
0:17:50 > 0:17:53Cousin Cuthbert bounced off the broomstick
0:17:53 > 0:17:56and landed in the fountain so they let him win.
0:17:56 > 0:17:59"Now, we'll have a treasure hunt," said Winnie.
0:17:59 > 0:18:03Uncle Owen looked in the maze and got lost.
0:18:03 > 0:18:07Wilma looked in the bat's cage and the bat flew away.
0:18:07 > 0:18:10Wendy looked in the bouncy castle.
0:18:10 > 0:18:11Bang!
0:18:11 > 0:18:13Wanda found the treasure.
0:18:13 > 0:18:15But she did have some help.
0:18:16 > 0:18:20"The next game is hide-and-seek," Winnie shouted.
0:18:20 > 0:18:22But with so much noise, nobody heard her.
0:18:22 > 0:18:26So, Winnie picked up her new magic trumpet.
0:18:26 > 0:18:29Toot! Toot! Toot! Winnie tootled.
0:18:29 > 0:18:32And everyone disappeared.
0:18:35 > 0:18:37Winnie was surprised.
0:18:37 > 0:18:39Then, she was cross.
0:18:39 > 0:18:40Where had they gone?
0:18:40 > 0:18:44Winnie looked in the maze. Nobody.
0:18:44 > 0:18:46She looked in the bat's cage. Nothing.
0:18:46 > 0:18:51She looked in the bouncy castle. Nobody.
0:18:51 > 0:18:54"Blithering broomsticks," Winnie said.
0:18:55 > 0:18:58"Who'll eat all my lovely food?"
0:18:58 > 0:19:02Then, Winnie saw a label on the trumpet.
0:19:02 > 0:19:07"IMPORTANT: To make people disappear, toot three times.
0:19:07 > 0:19:11"To make them come back, stand on your head and toot three times."
0:19:11 > 0:19:13So, Winnie stood on her head.
0:19:13 > 0:19:16"Toot! Toot! Toot!" she tootled.
0:19:16 > 0:19:21And everybody came back feeling hungry.
0:19:21 > 0:19:24They ate up all the food.
0:19:24 > 0:19:29"And now, it's time for the surprise!" said Winnie.
0:19:29 > 0:19:32She opened her new book of special spells.
0:19:32 > 0:19:37"Shut your eyes and think about your favourite cake," she said.
0:19:39 > 0:19:41Everybody shut their eyes.
0:19:41 > 0:19:44Auntie Alice thought about chocolate cake.
0:19:44 > 0:19:47Uncle Owen thought about fruit cake.
0:19:47 > 0:19:51Cousin Cuthbert thought about rainbow cake.
0:19:51 > 0:19:54Wilbur thought about cheesecake.
0:19:56 > 0:19:58He loved cheesecake.
0:19:58 > 0:20:01Then, Winnie the witch shut her eyes,
0:20:01 > 0:20:05turned around three times, stamped her foot,
0:20:05 > 0:20:07waved her wand
0:20:07 > 0:20:10and shouted, "Abracadabra!"
0:20:13 > 0:20:18And there was the biggest birthday cake in the whole world
0:20:18 > 0:20:21with candles at the top.
0:20:21 > 0:20:23There was a layer of chocolate cake,
0:20:23 > 0:20:28a layer of fruit cake, a layer of rainbow cake,
0:20:28 > 0:20:30a layer of cheesecake.
0:20:30 > 0:20:34There was strawberry shortcake, ginger sponge cake,
0:20:34 > 0:20:38orange cake, Black Forest cake.
0:20:38 > 0:20:42"How will you blow out the candles?" asked cousin Cuthbert.
0:20:42 > 0:20:45"That's easy," Winnie said.
0:20:45 > 0:20:49And she rode on her magic carpet to the top of the cake.
0:20:49 > 0:20:53Puff! Puff! Puff!
0:20:53 > 0:20:55"Ha ha ha!" laughed Winnie.
0:20:55 > 0:20:58"This party is such fun, Wilbur.
0:20:58 > 0:21:00"I'm a very lucky witch."
0:21:02 > 0:21:04Wilbur didn't say anything.
0:21:04 > 0:21:08His mouth was full of cheesecake.
0:21:08 > 0:21:11What a lucky black cat.
