0:12:10 > 0:12:13and a jar of honey for Big Ted.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16Hello. My name's Stacey.

0:12:16 > 0:12:19Do you have a special toy you like to look after?

0:12:19 > 0:12:22Sadly, my friend, Babbit, in tonight's story,

0:12:22 > 0:12:25has not been looked after very well at all.

0:12:25 > 0:12:27This is a story by Lydia Monks.

0:12:27 > 0:12:29And it's called Babbit.

0:12:33 > 0:12:39Hello! I'm Babbit. I live here with the Big One and the Little One.

0:12:39 > 0:12:41The Little One is supposed to look after me,

0:12:41 > 0:12:44but she's not very good at it.

0:12:44 > 0:12:46Just look what happened today.

0:12:46 > 0:12:48We'd had a lovely picnic.

0:12:48 > 0:12:53Well, I say lovely, but there weren't quite enough carrots for my liking.

0:12:53 > 0:12:56Anyway, we were just packing everything away

0:12:56 > 0:13:00when lolloping lop ears, I was grabbed, just like that.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02And she didn't see!

0:13:02 > 0:13:04Now, just hang on a moment!

0:13:04 > 0:13:07- Who had grabbed my ears like that? - Ouch!

0:13:07 > 0:13:10- Very rude, if you ask me. - Heh-heh-heh-heh!

0:13:10 > 0:13:13Ah, It was the Witchy One.

0:13:13 > 0:13:17There's a Snappy One, a Growly One, a Snorty One, too.

0:13:17 > 0:13:20They're always playing tricks on us -

0:13:20 > 0:13:24jumping out at us, pulling faces, they don't play nicely at all.

0:13:24 > 0:13:26The meanies!

0:13:26 > 0:13:28"Don't panic," I thought.

0:13:28 > 0:13:32"The Big One and the Little One will be looking for me by now."

0:13:32 > 0:13:35So I waited and waited and waited.

0:13:35 > 0:13:37But they didn't come.

0:13:37 > 0:13:41This wasn't funny any more. Not funny at all.

0:13:41 > 0:13:46I had splinters in my bottom and that's not nice, I can tell you.

0:13:46 > 0:13:49"Let me go," I squealed as loudly as I could.

0:13:49 > 0:13:55But Witchy, Snappy, Growly and Snorty were too busy arguing to notice.

0:13:55 > 0:13:59"I'm having his little fluffy tail," said the Witchy One.

0:13:59 > 0:14:01"You can have his ears."

0:14:01 > 0:14:04"But ears taste yucky," said the Growly One.

0:14:04 > 0:14:08Wiggle my whiskers! They weren't really going to eat me, were they?

0:14:08 > 0:14:13I think a nice, crunchy carrot would be much tastier than little old me.

0:14:13 > 0:14:16But wait! What was that?

0:14:16 > 0:14:19It was them! The Big One and the Little One.

0:14:19 > 0:14:23Boing-diddy-boing-boing! At last, I was saved!

0:14:23 > 0:14:28"Let's get out of here," I whispered, "before they eat the lot of us."

0:14:28 > 0:14:32The Little One untied me and we tiptoed away.

0:14:32 > 0:14:33But then...

0:14:33 > 0:14:36CRACK! Oh, no!

0:14:36 > 0:14:38"Run, run, run!" I squealed and we ran.

0:14:38 > 0:14:42Crunch! Snap! Crunch! We tore through the trees.

0:14:42 > 0:14:44Whoosh! Whee! Whoosh!

0:14:44 > 0:14:47We leapt over logs. Snap! Crunch! Snap!

0:14:47 > 0:14:49We legged it through the leaves.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51They were nearly catching up.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54Blinking bobtails! Phew!

0:14:54 > 0:14:56We'd lost them.

0:14:56 > 0:14:59Thank our lucky lettuce leaves for that.

0:14:59 > 0:15:00But what now?

0:15:00 > 0:15:02Aaaah!

0:15:02 > 0:15:06I was being pulled this way, that way, this way, that way,

0:15:06 > 0:15:08until...

0:15:08 > 0:15:09the Little Ones rescued me

0:15:09 > 0:15:14and, bless my little bunny bottom, that Little One can run fast.

0:15:14 > 0:15:16We ran and ran and ran

0:15:16 > 0:15:17and then BUMP!

0:15:17 > 0:15:22We ran straight into the Biggest One Of All.

0:15:22 > 0:15:25Oh, bless my blinking bobtail! We were saved!

0:15:25 > 0:15:29"Those others are in trouble now," I thought.

0:15:29 > 0:15:31"It's the naughty seats for them, I bet."

0:15:31 > 0:15:33And I was right, you know.

0:15:33 > 0:15:36That's what happens when you don't play nicely.

0:15:36 > 0:15:41And now here I am, tucked up in my favourite place,

0:15:41 > 0:15:44here with the Little One, all snugly.

0:15:44 > 0:15:47Maybe tomorrow she will look after me a bit better.

0:15:47 > 0:15:50I do hope so, don't you?

0:15:50 > 0:15:54Night-night. The end.

0:15:54 > 0:15:57And that's the story of little blue Babbit.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00I'm so pleased that Babbit was rescued, aren't you?

0:16:00 > 0:16:04I hope you're tucked up in your favourite place, all snugly,

0:16:04 > 0:16:07as it's time for me to say good night.

0:16:07 > 0:16:11Remember to look after your special toy and I'll see you very soon.
