0:06:46 > 0:06:50He sat beside the window, peaceful, all alone.
0:06:50 > 0:06:55He played with woollen feathers. They made no noise at all.
0:06:55 > 0:07:00When he heard a bird, he purred. Mice played with his ball.
0:07:00 > 0:07:04One morning, Homer heard a crash, a really awful din.
0:07:04 > 0:07:08And jumping from the window, he landed in the bin.
0:07:08 > 0:07:12The dustbins fell and banged and rolled and Homer ran away

0:07:37 > 0:07:42Clang, clang! The fire bell rang. A fire! A fire in town!
0:07:42 > 0:07:47Five fit fireman rushed straight out, one quick cat jumped down.

0:07:49 > 0:07:53Homer ran and ran and ran down to the railway track.
0:07:53 > 0:07:57He found an empty goods van and jumped up in the back.
0:07:57 > 0:08:01A locomotive came along with engineer and crew.
0:08:01 > 0:08:06Just as Homer fell asleep, the whistle blew. Choo-choo!
0:08:06 > 0:08:10Homo ran back into town and through an open door,
0:08:10 > 0:08:15into a big bright building across a marble floor.
0:08:15 > 0:08:20He heard a friendly voice he knew, he saw a rocking chair.
0:08:20 > 0:08:25There was the quiet lady and children everywhere.
0:08:25 > 0:08:29Homer! said the lady. What are you doing here?
0:08:29 > 0:08:33Homer jumped into her arms and purred into her ear.
0:08:35 > 0:08:39The boys and girls loved Homer and Homer loved them back.
0:08:39 > 0:08:44He slept right through the stories, but woke up for the snack.
0:08:44 > 0:08:48Now Homer is a library cat, he goes there every day.
0:08:48 > 0:08:51What do the children think of that?
