0:33:10 > 0:33:14It's nearly time for bed, so I'm tucking up the teddies in a blanket.

0:33:14 > 0:33:17Here you go, teddies. Nice and cosy.

0:33:17 > 0:33:20I hope you're getting snuggled up and comfy.

0:33:20 > 0:33:24Tonight's story is about someone who should be getting ready for bed,

0:33:24 > 0:33:26but she's taking rather a long time.

0:33:26 > 0:33:29The book is called Little One's Bedtime,

0:33:29 > 0:33:32and it's by Suzi Moore and Rosie Reeve.

0:33:33 > 0:33:36It was late at night and time for bed.

0:33:36 > 0:33:39The sky was dark when somebody said,

0:33:39 > 0:33:43"Come, Little One, Little One, come. It's time to sleep, my Little One."

0:33:45 > 0:33:48But Little One grumbled and Little One groaned.

0:33:48 > 0:33:51"I'm not even tired," Little One moaned.

0:33:51 > 0:33:54"I can't go to bed," Little One said,

0:33:54 > 0:33:58"because I'm going to be a pirate instead.

0:33:58 > 0:34:01"Come along, Teddy, no time for a nap.

0:34:01 > 0:34:04"There's gold to be found and I have the map.

0:34:04 > 0:34:07"Let's sail to the island, I know the way!

0:34:07 > 0:34:11"We'll find all the treasure. Anchors aweigh!"

0:34:11 > 0:34:14It was late at night and time for bed.

0:34:14 > 0:34:17The clock was ticking when somebody said,

0:34:17 > 0:34:20"Come, little pirate, come in from the sea.

0:34:20 > 0:34:23"Don't forget Teddy and come up with me."

0:34:23 > 0:34:26But Little One stomped and jumped up and down.

0:34:26 > 0:34:30"I'm still not tired," she said with a frown.

0:34:30 > 0:34:32"I can't go to bed," Little One said,

0:34:32 > 0:34:37"because I'm going to be a monster instead.

0:34:37 > 0:34:40"Look, I'm a monster with a monstery nose.

0:34:40 > 0:34:44"I have monstery fingers and monstery toes.

0:34:44 > 0:34:47"Come along, Teddy, it's going to be great.

0:34:47 > 0:34:50"Monsters always stay up very late."

0:34:50 > 0:34:53It was late at night and time for bed.

0:34:53 > 0:34:56The stars were twinkling when somebody said,

0:34:56 > 0:34:59"Come, little monster, Little One, come,

0:34:59 > 0:35:02"Into the bathroom, Little One, run."

0:35:02 > 0:35:05So Little One ran and stood at the sink.

0:35:05 > 0:35:08"I have an idea," she said, with a wink.

0:35:08 > 0:35:11"I can't go to bed," Little One said,

0:35:11 > 0:35:13"because I'm going to be a knight instead.

0:35:13 > 0:35:16"I'll ride to the castle with Teddy the Brave.

0:35:16 > 0:35:19"There's always a beautiful princess to save.

0:35:19 > 0:35:22"Watch out for the dragon. I know what to do.

0:35:22 > 0:35:26"Excuse me, fierce dragon, it's bedtime for you."

0:35:26 > 0:35:29It was late at night and time for bed.

0:35:29 > 0:35:32The moon was shining when somebody said,

0:35:32 > 0:35:35"Come, Little One, Little One, come.

0:35:35 > 0:35:39"It's getting late, my brave Little One."

0:35:39 > 0:35:42But Little One jumped and sprang up to run.

0:35:42 > 0:35:45Staying up late was always such fun.

0:35:45 > 0:35:47"I can't go to bed," Little One said,

0:35:47 > 0:35:52"because I'm going to be a dancer instead!

0:35:52 > 0:35:55"I'll dance to the left, I'll dance to the right.

0:35:55 > 0:35:58"I'm going to be a ballerina tonight.

0:35:58 > 0:36:01"Come along, Teddy, it's time for the show.

0:36:01 > 0:36:04"I'm really quite famous, or didn't you know?"

0:36:04 > 0:36:05APPLAUSE

0:36:05 > 0:36:08It was late at night and time for bed.

0:36:08 > 0:36:11The stars were sparkling when somebody said,

0:36:11 > 0:36:14"Come, Little One, Little One, come.

0:36:14 > 0:36:17"Dance into your bedroom, my beautiful one."

0:36:17 > 0:36:21So Little One danced and Little One pranced.

0:36:21 > 0:36:24She'd stay up all night if she just got the chance.

0:36:24 > 0:36:27"I can't go to bed," Little One said,

0:36:27 > 0:36:31"because I'm going to be a wizard instead.

0:36:31 > 0:36:34"Come along, Teddy, there's magic to make.

0:36:34 > 0:36:37"Wizards don't sleep, they just stay awake.

0:36:37 > 0:36:40"I'll magic a rabbit right out of a hat.

0:36:40 > 0:36:44"I'll turn my big brother into a rat!"

0:36:44 > 0:36:47It was late at night and time for bed.

0:36:47 > 0:36:50The owls were hooting when somebody said,

0:36:50 > 0:36:53"Come, Little One, Little One, come.

0:36:53 > 0:36:56"It's very late, my magical one.

0:36:56 > 0:36:59"Don't forget Teddy. Climb up into bed.

0:36:59 > 0:37:02"No more adventures, it's bedtime instead."

0:37:04 > 0:37:07Little One sighed and thought for a while.

0:37:07 > 0:37:11"I am a bit tired," she said with a smile.

0:37:11 > 0:37:14Under the covers, Little One wriggled.

0:37:14 > 0:37:17"I'll dream of adventure," Little One giggled.

0:37:17 > 0:37:21Then somebody kissed her and turned out the light.

0:37:21 > 0:37:26"Sweet dreams, my Little One. I love you. Good night."

0:37:30 > 0:37:33That story was called Little One's Bedtime.
