0:47:50 > 0:47:57.
0:48:06 > 0:48:07Hello, I'm Grandpa.
0:48:07 > 0:48:12Are you ready to join me for a big adventure in tonight's bedtime story?
0:48:12 > 0:48:14Fantastic.
0:48:14 > 0:48:18The story is called Jack And The Flumflum Tree,
0:48:18 > 0:48:22and it's written by Julia Donaldson and David Roberts.
0:48:22 > 0:48:25Jack had a granny and his granny had spots.
0:48:26 > 0:48:30Great big, purple ones, lots and lots.
0:48:30 > 0:48:32The doctor came and he shook his head,
0:48:32 > 0:48:35"Your granny has the moozles," the doctor said.
0:48:35 > 0:48:38"And the only cure in the world," said he,
0:48:38 > 0:48:41"is the fruit that grows on the flumflum tree.
0:48:41 > 0:48:45"And the only place that the flumflum grows"
0:48:45 > 0:48:49"is the faraway Isle of Blowyernose."
0:48:49 > 0:48:52So, Jack built a boat, and Jack found a crew,
0:48:52 > 0:48:55red-cheeked Rose and stubble-cheeked Stu.
0:48:55 > 0:48:58And he said to Stu, and he said to Rose,
0:48:58 > 0:49:01"We're off to the Isle of Blowyernose."
0:49:01 > 0:49:04Granny came down to the dock with Jack,
0:49:04 > 0:49:08and she gave him a bulgy patchwork sack.
0:49:08 > 0:49:11And in that sack were a pair of wooden spoons
0:49:11 > 0:49:15a porridge bowl, tent pegs, some red and blue balloons,
0:49:15 > 0:49:18Granny's old skipping rope, a pack of chewing gum,
0:49:18 > 0:49:23three spotty hankies and a tom-tom drum.
0:49:23 > 0:49:27And Jack said, "Granny, what is the use of those?"
0:49:27 > 0:49:32"Aha," said Granny, and she tapped her nose.
0:49:32 > 0:49:35Then off sailed Jack with Stu and Rose
0:49:35 > 0:49:38to the faraway Isle of Blowyernose.
0:49:38 > 0:49:42"Sharks!" cried Rose. "Lots!" cried Stu.
0:49:42 > 0:49:44"They'll gobble us! They'll guzzle us!
0:49:44 > 0:49:46"Whatever shall we do?"
0:49:46 > 0:49:49"Don't get your knickers in a twist," said Jack.
0:49:49 > 0:49:53"Let's have a look in the patchwork sack.
0:49:53 > 0:49:56"Red balloons, blue balloons, they should do the trick!
0:49:56 > 0:49:59"Puff, puff, blow them up, let them go quick."
0:49:59 > 0:50:02Then the sharks went nip, and the sharks went gnash,
0:50:02 > 0:50:05chasing the balloons with a bang, pop, splash!
0:50:05 > 0:50:08"A leak!" cried Rose. "It's wet!" said Stu.
0:50:08 > 0:50:11"The boat is full of water, whatever shall we do?"
0:50:11 > 0:50:14"Don't get your knickers in a twist," said Jack.
0:50:14 > 0:50:17"Let's have a look in the patchwork sack."
0:50:17 > 0:50:20"Granny's pack of chewing gum, that'll do the trick."
0:50:20 > 0:50:23"Chew it up, stretch it out, stick it in quick."
0:50:23 > 0:50:27So, they chewed and they stretched and they plugged that hole,
0:50:27 > 0:50:31and they bailed out the water with Granny's porridge bowl.
0:50:31 > 0:50:33Then on sailed Jack with Stu and Rose
0:50:33 > 0:50:36for the faraway Isle of Blowyernose.
0:50:36 > 0:50:39"Whoops!" cried Rose, "Help!" cried Stu.
0:50:39 > 0:50:42"I can't swim for toffee! Whatever will you do?"
0:50:42 > 0:50:45"Don't get your knickers in a twist," said Jack.
0:50:45 > 0:50:48"Let's have a look in the patchwork sack."
0:50:48 > 0:50:51"Granny's old skipping rope, that should do the trick.
0:50:51 > 0:50:55"Hold tight, throw it out, grab the handle quick."
0:50:55 > 0:50:58So, they heaved and they hauled and they pulled Stu in.
0:50:58 > 0:51:02"Good old Granny, she saved my skin."
0:51:02 > 0:51:04Then, on sailed Jack with Stu and Rose,
0:51:04 > 0:51:07till they came to the Isle of Blowyernose.
0:51:09 > 0:51:12And there on a hill for all to see
0:51:12 > 0:51:16stood the bright, green, feathery flumflum tree.
0:51:16 > 0:51:20"It's tall!" cried Rose. "It's smooth!" cried Stu.
0:51:20 > 0:51:23"It's not got any branches, whatever shall we do?"
0:51:23 > 0:51:26"Don't get your knickers in a twist," said Jack.
0:51:26 > 0:51:29"Let's have a look in the patchwork sack."
0:51:29 > 0:51:32"Granny's bag of tent pegs, that should do the trick.
0:51:32 > 0:51:35"Bang, bang, knock them in, climb the tree quick."
0:51:35 > 0:51:38Then up went Rose as nimble as could be,
0:51:38 > 0:51:42and she brought down the fruit of the flumflum tree.
0:51:43 > 0:51:47Then Jack and Stu and Rose had a doze,
0:51:47 > 0:51:50on the soft, sandy beach of Blowyernose.
0:51:50 > 0:51:53"A thief!" cried Rose, "A monkey!" yelled Stu.
0:51:53 > 0:51:56"He's got our precious flumflum, whatever shall we do?"
0:51:56 > 0:51:59"Don't get your knickers in a twist." said Jack,
0:51:59 > 0:52:02"Let's have a look in the patchwork sack.
0:52:02 > 0:52:05"Granny's spoons and tom-tom, they should do the trick,
0:52:05 > 0:52:08"pick them up, thump, thump, sing a song quick!"
0:52:08 > 0:52:11The monkey crept closer, he listened to the tunes
0:52:11 > 0:52:16he put down the flumflum, and he grabbed the wooden spoons.
0:52:16 > 0:52:19Then, back sailed Jack with Stu and Rose,
0:52:19 > 0:52:22all the way home from Blowyernose.
0:52:22 > 0:52:25Granny ate the flumflum, the moozles disappeared.
0:52:25 > 0:52:30"She's cured!" said the doctor, and everyone cheered.
0:52:30 > 0:52:33And Jack said, "Thank you for the pair of wooden spoons,
0:52:33 > 0:52:37"the porridge bowl, the skipping rope, the red and blue balloons.
0:52:37 > 0:52:41"Thank you for the tent pegs, and the pack of chewing gum.
0:52:41 > 0:52:44"And thank you, Granny, for the tom-tom drum.
0:52:44 > 0:52:49"But the three spotty hankies, what was the use of those?"
0:52:49 > 0:52:54"The hankies, silly, were to blow your nose."
0:52:57 > 0:53:02And that story was called Jack And The Flumflum Tree.
0:53:02 > 0:53:07Oh, all that excitement has worn me out. It's time for a little lie down.
0:53:07 > 0:53:11And I'll see you soon for another adventure.
0:53:11 > 0:53:13Good night.
