0:57:06 > 0:57:11Hello, I'm Chris. Do you have someone who looks after you?
0:57:11 > 0:57:16Someone who always knows how to make you feel much better? You do?
0:57:16 > 0:57:21Well, so does Little Hansie Bear in tonight's bedtime story.
0:57:21 > 0:57:26It's called There, There and it is by Sam McBratney and Ivan Bates.
0:57:27 > 0:57:31Little Hansie Bear, who loved to pretend,
0:57:31 > 0:57:35thought it would be fun to walk like a duck.
0:57:35 > 0:57:40Unfortunately, he fell over sideways into a deep-down ditch.
0:57:40 > 0:57:44He hurt his knee and couldn't get out again.
0:57:44 > 0:57:47His dad came to help.
0:57:47 > 0:57:50"What were you doing?" he asked.
0:57:50 > 0:57:53"I was trying to walk like a duck."
0:57:53 > 0:57:56"Well, that's not easy," said Hansie's dad,
0:57:56 > 0:58:02"unless you ARE a duck. Let's try a plaster on that knee."
0:58:02 > 0:58:04He gave Hansie a big hug.
0:58:04 > 0:58:08"There, there, it won't be sore for long. You'll see."
0:58:08 > 0:58:11And he was right. After a few minutes,
0:58:11 > 0:58:13and a few jumps...
0:58:15 > 0:58:19..just to be sure, Hansie was ready to play again.
0:58:19 > 0:58:23His plan was to dig down deep in the sandpit
0:58:23 > 0:58:26and dig his deepest hole ever.
0:58:26 > 0:58:30But it was a windy day and all sorts of things went blowing in the wind.
0:58:30 > 0:58:36Hansie got sand in his eyes and it really made them sting.
0:58:36 > 0:58:41His dad, who was still close by, picked him up for a cuddle.
0:58:41 > 0:58:42"There, there," he said.
0:58:42 > 0:58:47"Do blinkety blink like this and you'll soon be better."
0:58:47 > 0:58:50Hansie blinked his eyes.
0:58:50 > 0:58:53Then a few more blinks, just to be sure.
0:58:53 > 0:58:56And his eyes were as good as ever.
0:58:56 > 0:59:01Then some of Hansie's friends came to play on his swing among the trees
0:59:01 > 0:59:02but guess what!
0:59:02 > 0:59:07Hansie Bear bumped his head on a branch and it was a hard bump.
0:59:08 > 0:59:10Dad saw what happened.
0:59:10 > 0:59:12"There, there, Hansie," he said.
0:59:12 > 0:59:18"I'll give it a rub and you'll be fine." And he was right again.
0:59:18 > 0:59:22Hansie Bear ran off to play a game of hide and seek with his friends.
0:59:22 > 0:59:26Later that same afternoon, when the friends had all gone home,
0:59:26 > 0:59:30Hansie saw his father coming very slowly through the garden gate.
0:59:30 > 0:59:36Hansie ran to meet him. "I hurt my foot!" said Dad.
0:59:36 > 0:59:41"I stepped on a thorn and, my goodness, it is sore."
0:59:41 > 0:59:43"Were you trying to walk like a duck?"
0:59:43 > 0:59:47"I was NOT trying to walk like a duck."
0:59:47 > 0:59:51Soon, Mum came to see what was happening.
0:59:51 > 0:59:55They made Dad sit on the garden seat.
0:59:55 > 0:59:59"Ouch!" he said as Mum pulled out the thorn.
0:59:59 > 1:00:03"We are definitely NOT having a good day."
1:00:03 > 1:00:07This was like falling into the deep-down ditch
1:00:07 > 1:00:09or getting sand in your eyes
1:00:09 > 1:00:13or bumping your head a hard bump.
1:00:13 > 1:00:15"I know a good thing to do,"
1:00:15 > 1:00:20said Hansie, and he gave his dad one of his tightest ever hugs.
1:00:20 > 1:00:26And then Hansie said, "There, there, we'll be all right now."
1:00:26 > 1:00:32And so they were. That story was called There, There.
1:00:32 > 1:00:36Weren't little Hansie Bear and his dad very lucky to have each other?
1:00:36 > 1:00:38I think so.
1:00:38 > 1:00:42Now, why don't you find the person who always takes care of you
1:00:42 > 1:00:45and give them a great big hug?
1:00:45 > 1:00:48Perhaps they'll tuck you into bed, warm and tight.
1:00:48 > 1:00:50I hope you have sweet dreams.
1:00:50 > 1:00:54I'll see you soon for another bedtime story.
