0:41:06 > 0:41:08Oooh!
0:41:09 > 0:41:12Hello. I'm Ashley.
0:41:12 > 0:41:15I've made a mug of hot chocolate to enjoy before bedtime,
0:41:15 > 0:41:19but it's too hot to drink.
0:41:19 > 0:41:21I'll leave it to cool down for a bit.
0:41:24 > 0:41:28While I wait, would you like to hear a bedtime story?
0:41:28 > 0:41:30You would?
0:41:30 > 0:41:31Great.
0:41:31 > 0:41:35Well, tonight's bedtime story
0:41:35 > 0:41:38is called Goldilocks
0:41:38 > 0:41:41And Just The One Bear.
0:41:41 > 0:41:43And it's by Leigh Hodgkinson.
0:41:44 > 0:41:46Once upon a time
0:41:46 > 0:41:48- there was this bear. - HORNS BEEP
0:41:48 > 0:41:53One minute he was lolloping about in the wood all happy-go-lucky,
0:41:53 > 0:41:56the next minute he hadn't a crumb of a clue where he was.
0:41:56 > 0:41:59He was one completely lost bear.
0:41:59 > 0:42:00TRAFFIC ROARS
0:42:02 > 0:42:04Bear didn't much like this place.
0:42:04 > 0:42:08Too many bright lights and not enough twigs.
0:42:08 > 0:42:11Too much honking and beeping,
0:42:11 > 0:42:14and not nearly enough owl hooting.
0:42:14 > 0:42:17The bear was also a teeny bit scared,
0:42:17 > 0:42:21and his furry legs had gone slightly wobbly.
0:42:22 > 0:42:26"Maybe the thing to do," said the bear, looking round,
0:42:26 > 0:42:29"is to nip into Snooty Towers here
0:42:29 > 0:42:32"and get away from this terrible racket."
0:42:34 > 0:42:39But the spinny Snooty Towers door made the bear feel dizzy,
0:42:39 > 0:42:42and being dizzy with wobbly legs was bad news.
0:42:42 > 0:42:43BEAR SIGHS
0:42:43 > 0:42:46What the bear needed was a little sit-down.
0:42:47 > 0:42:51A little sit-down somewhere would definitely see him tickety-boo.
0:42:51 > 0:42:53LIFT BELL RINGS
0:42:53 > 0:42:55The bear peeped through a door
0:42:55 > 0:42:59and thought how very pleasant it was up here.
0:42:59 > 0:43:02"Not nasty and noisy like down there,"
0:43:02 > 0:43:04thought the bear,
0:43:04 > 0:43:07"just the place for a little sit-down."
0:43:07 > 0:43:11All that whooshy travelling was certainly a hungry business.
0:43:11 > 0:43:15So, before his little sit-down,
0:43:15 > 0:43:18a spot of porridge seemed a good idea.
0:43:18 > 0:43:24"Oh, this porridge is too soggy," said the bear.
0:43:24 > 0:43:30"This porridge is too crunchy," said the bear.
0:43:30 > 0:43:36"This porridge is a bit on the dry side," said the bear.
0:43:36 > 0:43:39"But it's better than nothing."
0:43:39 > 0:43:42Now the bear was ready for his little sit-down.
0:43:42 > 0:43:48"This chair is too ouchy," said the bear.
0:43:48 > 0:43:51"This chair is too noisy,"
0:43:51 > 0:43:54- said the bear. - CAT MEOWS
0:43:56 > 0:44:00"This chair is just right," said the bear.
0:44:01 > 0:44:03A little sit-down is all very well,
0:44:03 > 0:44:07but what the bear needed to feel really tickety-boo
0:44:07 > 0:44:13was a good old-fashioned lie-down in a comfy bed.
0:44:15 > 0:44:19"This bed is too frothy," said the bear.
0:44:19 > 0:44:24"This bed is too pink," said the bear.
0:44:24 > 0:44:26"Oh!
0:44:26 > 0:44:30"This bed is just right,"
0:44:30 > 0:44:33yawned the bear.
0:44:33 > 0:44:35And soon...
0:44:35 > 0:44:37he nodded off.
0:44:37 > 0:44:42The bear dreamt of crunching through leaves.
0:44:42 > 0:44:46The bedroom of pottering about in his slippers.
0:44:46 > 0:44:51The bedroom of a voice shouting very, very loudly,
0:44:51 > 0:44:55"Somebody has been eating my fish bowl,"
0:44:55 > 0:44:56said the daddy person.
0:44:56 > 0:45:01"Somebody has been eating my dear little pumpkin's kitty nibbles,"
0:45:01 > 0:45:04said the mummy person.
0:45:04 > 0:45:09"And somebody has been eating my toast," said the little person,
0:45:09 > 0:45:10"and they've eaten it all up."
0:45:12 > 0:45:16Unfortunately, the bear was not dreaming at all.
0:45:16 > 0:45:18He was wide awake.
0:45:18 > 0:45:21And back in real life again.
0:45:21 > 0:45:26"Somebody has squished my cactus," said the daddy person.
0:45:26 > 0:45:31"Somebody has upset my dear little pumpkin," said the mummy person.
0:45:31 > 0:45:37"And somebody has popped my beanbag," said the little person.
0:45:38 > 0:45:44"Somebody has been sleeping in my bath," said the daddy person.
0:45:44 > 0:45:49"Somebody has been sleeping in my bed," said the mummy person.
0:45:49 > 0:45:51"Ssh!"
0:45:51 > 0:45:54whispered the little person.
0:45:54 > 0:45:59"I think that somebody is sleeping in my bed right now."
0:46:00 > 0:46:04The bear peeked from underneath the duvet
0:46:04 > 0:46:06to see a daddy person,
0:46:06 > 0:46:08a mummy person,
0:46:08 > 0:46:12and a little person, standing right there.
0:46:13 > 0:46:16The bear thought that the mummy person
0:46:16 > 0:46:19looked ever so slightly familiar.
0:46:19 > 0:46:20Hmm.
0:46:20 > 0:46:23And the mummy person thought that
0:46:23 > 0:46:26scoffing other people's breakfasts,
0:46:26 > 0:46:28breaking other people's stuff,
0:46:28 > 0:46:32and snoozing in other people's beds,
0:46:32 > 0:46:36seemed ever so slightly familiar too.
0:46:36 > 0:46:39Then the penny dropped.
0:46:40 > 0:46:44"Little bear?" said the mummy person.
0:46:44 > 0:46:47"Goldilocks?" said the bear.
0:46:48 > 0:46:52"Porridge?" asked Goldilocks.
0:46:52 > 0:46:54The bear nodded.
0:46:54 > 0:47:00So Goldilocks cooked up a big bowl and plonked it in front of him.
0:47:00 > 0:47:02It was not too hot,
0:47:02 > 0:47:04it was not too cold,
0:47:04 > 0:47:06it was just right.
0:47:07 > 0:47:10It made the bear almost forget about
0:47:10 > 0:47:14that once upon a time when Goldilocks had behaved so badly,
0:47:15 > 0:47:21This little bear would never dream of doing anything like that.
0:47:21 > 0:47:23And although it had been good
0:47:23 > 0:47:27to see Goldilocks living so happily ever after
0:47:27 > 0:47:29with those charming people,
0:47:29 > 0:47:33the bear decided it was time to go back home to the woods.
0:47:34 > 0:47:38That story is called Goldilocks And Just The One Bear.
0:47:39 > 0:47:41I hope you enjoyed it.
0:47:41 > 0:47:46Now, grab your favourite teddy, and get cuddled up in bed.
0:47:46 > 0:47:51Sleep tight, and I'll be back soon for another bedtime story.
