0:12:07 > 0:12:09Hello, I'm Anne-Marie.
0:12:09 > 0:12:11Are you all warm and cosy?
0:12:11 > 0:12:14Ready for tonight's bedtime story?
0:12:16 > 0:12:18That's good.
0:12:18 > 0:12:20Tonight's story is called
0:12:20 > 0:12:24How To Lose A Lemur by Frann Preston-Gannon.
0:12:26 > 0:12:30Everyone knows that once a lemur takes a fancy to you, there is
0:12:30 > 0:12:34not much that can be done about it.
0:12:34 > 0:12:37So when a lemur began to follow me one bright sunny
0:12:37 > 0:12:42morning in the park, I tried my hardest to ignore him.
0:12:42 > 0:12:46I tried hiding up a very tall tree.
0:12:47 > 0:12:52But it was no good, before long other lemurs began to appear
0:12:52 > 0:12:58so I jumped on my bike and cycled as fast as I could to try to get away.
0:12:58 > 0:13:00But I wasn't fast enough.
0:13:00 > 0:13:03I tried being very stern with them,
0:13:03 > 0:13:08but they just smiled back at me and wanted to play.
0:13:08 > 0:13:12So I bought a ticket for the next train leaving town.
0:13:12 > 0:13:15I jumped on board and off I went.
0:13:15 > 0:13:18WHISTLE HOOTS
0:13:18 > 0:13:23When that didn't work I jumped on a boat and set off across the lake.
0:13:27 > 0:13:30Then I took to the skies in a hot-air balloon
0:13:30 > 0:13:33and floated up, up and away!
0:13:33 > 0:13:37I travelled through the desert in scorching heat,
0:13:37 > 0:13:40but that didn't work either.
0:13:40 > 0:13:45So I tried climbing the highest mountain through blizzardy snow
0:13:45 > 0:13:48and cold, cold winds.
0:13:48 > 0:13:50Ooooh!
0:13:50 > 0:13:56And just when I thought they had finally gone, I realised I had
0:13:56 > 0:14:01travelled very far from home and didn't know how to get back.
0:14:01 > 0:14:05I was lost and all alone!
0:14:08 > 0:14:15But then, one by one, I started to see some familiar faces.
0:14:15 > 0:14:18They took me by the hand and we went,
0:14:18 > 0:14:21back over the mountain,
0:14:21 > 0:14:23back through the desert,
0:14:23 > 0:14:25back through the skies,
0:14:25 > 0:14:29back across the lake,
0:14:29 > 0:14:32back on the train and home at last.
0:14:32 > 0:14:39And then I began to realise that maybe, just maybe, they weren't
0:14:39 > 0:14:43so bad after all and perhaps we could be friends,
0:14:43 > 0:14:47because, as everyone knows,
0:14:47 > 0:14:51once a lemur takes a fancy to you,
0:14:51 > 0:14:55there's not much that can be done about it.
0:14:57 > 0:14:59That story was How To Lose A Lemur.
0:15:00 > 0:15:05I think I would like to have a lemur as a friend. Would you?
0:15:05 > 0:15:09Ohhhh... Now it's time to settle down to sleep.
0:15:09 > 0:15:13Maybe you'll dream of travelling over mountains,
0:15:13 > 0:15:18across seas and through jungles with your lemur friend.
0:15:19 > 0:15:21Night-night.
