0:00:08 > 0:00:10Hello, I'm Lesley.
0:00:10 > 0:00:15Sometimes it's hard to explain how you feel about the people you love.
0:00:15 > 0:00:21Tonight's bedtime story is about a little hare who is going to try.
0:00:21 > 0:00:25It's called Guess How Much I Love You
0:00:25 > 0:00:30and it's by Sam McBratney with pictures by Anita Jeram.
0:00:32 > 0:00:35Little Nutbrown Hare, who was going to bed,
0:00:35 > 0:00:40held on tight to Big Nutbrown Hare's very long ears.
0:00:42 > 0:00:46He wanted to be sure that Big Nutbrown Hare was listening.
0:00:48 > 0:00:51"Guess how much I love you," he said.
0:00:51 > 0:00:57"Oh, I don't think I could guess that," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
0:00:57 > 0:01:01"This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare,
0:01:01 > 0:01:05stretching out his arms as wide as they could go.
0:01:06 > 0:01:10Big Nutbrown Hare had even longer arms.
0:01:10 > 0:01:15"But I love you THIS much," he said.
0:01:17 > 0:01:22"Hmm, that is a lot," thought Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:01:23 > 0:01:30"I love you as high as I can reach," said Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:01:32 > 0:01:38"I love YOU as high as I can reach," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
0:01:38 > 0:01:43"That is quite high," thought Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:01:43 > 0:01:46"I wish I had arms like that."
0:01:47 > 0:01:52Then Little Nutbrown Hare had a good idea.
0:01:52 > 0:01:57He tumbled upside down and reached up the tree trunk with his feet.
0:01:57 > 0:02:03"I love you all the way up to my toes," he said.
0:02:03 > 0:02:06"And I love you all the way up to your toes,"
0:02:06 > 0:02:11said Big Nutbrown Hare, swinging him up over his head.
0:02:11 > 0:02:14"I love you as high as I can hop,"
0:02:14 > 0:02:18laughed Little Nutbrown Hare, bouncing up and down.
0:02:18 > 0:02:23"But I love YOU as high as I can hop," smiled Big Nutbrown Hare,
0:02:23 > 0:02:29and he hopped so high that his ears touched the branches above.
0:02:29 > 0:02:34"That's good hopping," thought Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:02:34 > 0:02:37"I wish I could hop like that."
0:02:37 > 0:02:44"I love you all the way down the lane, as far as the river,"
0:02:44 > 0:02:46cried Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:02:46 > 0:02:54"I love you across the river AND over the hills," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
0:02:54 > 0:02:58"That is very far," thought Little Nutbrown Hare.
0:02:58 > 0:03:04He was almost too sleepy to think any more.
0:03:05 > 0:03:12Then he looked beyond the thorn bushes, out into the big, dark night.
0:03:14 > 0:03:19Nothing could be further than the sky!
0:03:19 > 0:03:24"I love you right up to the moon!" he said,
0:03:24 > 0:03:26and closed his eyes.
0:03:28 > 0:03:36"Oh, that's far," said Big Nutbrown Hare. "That is very, very far."
0:03:38 > 0:03:44Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves.
0:03:44 > 0:03:48He leaned over and kissed him goodnight.
0:03:48 > 0:03:50Then he lay down close by
0:03:50 > 0:03:53and whispered, with a smile,
0:03:53 > 0:03:57"I love you right up to the moon...
0:03:57 > 0:03:59"and back."
0:04:03 > 0:04:06I think that Little Nutbrown Hare
0:04:06 > 0:04:11and Big Nutbrown Hare are very lucky to have each other to love.
0:04:11 > 0:04:15Why don't you give someone you love a great big cuddle
0:04:15 > 0:04:18before you go to sleep tonight?
0:04:18 > 0:04:22Sweet dreams. I'll see you again very soon.
