0:00:02 > 0:00:05CBeebies Bedtime Story.
0:00:06 > 0:00:08Hello. My name is Nihal.
0:00:08 > 0:00:12I'm keeping an eye on the dinosaur eggs for Mummysaurus.
0:00:12 > 0:00:16So I am sincerely hoping that they don't hatch while she's away.
0:00:16 > 0:00:20Tonight's story is about some dinosaur eggs just like these
0:00:20 > 0:00:23and a tiny dinosaur who wants to look after them.
0:00:23 > 0:00:26Would you like to hear it?
0:00:26 > 0:00:27Good.
0:00:27 > 0:00:32It's called Tinysaurus, and it's by Sheryl Webster and Jan Fearnley.
0:00:33 > 0:00:36Tinysaurus was tiny.
0:00:36 > 0:00:39He had tiny teeth, tiny claws,
0:00:39 > 0:00:41and a teeny, tiny roar.
0:00:42 > 0:00:47But Tinysaurus wanted to be big, like Daddysaurus.
0:00:47 > 0:00:50Daddysaurus had huge teeth,
0:00:50 > 0:00:51gigantic claws
0:00:51 > 0:00:55and an enormous ROAR!
0:00:55 > 0:00:58Tinysaurus would even settle
0:00:58 > 0:01:03for just being as big as his elder sister, BigSissysaurus.
0:01:04 > 0:01:08It wasn't as if he hadn't TRIED to get bigger. He had.
0:01:08 > 0:01:10He had tried jumping up and down,
0:01:10 > 0:01:12but that didn't work.
0:01:12 > 0:01:15He had tried stretching himself
0:01:15 > 0:01:17on a tree branch.
0:01:17 > 0:01:20But he couldn't hold on for long enough.
0:01:20 > 0:01:24He had tried tying tree trunks to his legs.
0:01:24 > 0:01:27But the only thing that was made bigger
0:01:27 > 0:01:29were the bumps on his head.
0:01:29 > 0:01:31It just wasn't fair.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34Being tiny meant that Mummysaurus would not let him
0:01:34 > 0:01:37go to the Plippy Ploppy Water Hole on his own.
0:01:37 > 0:01:40BigSissysaurus could.
0:01:40 > 0:01:43Nor could he go to the Sludgy Squelchy Swamp.
0:01:43 > 0:01:46BigSissysaurus could.
0:01:46 > 0:01:48He wasn't even allowed to graze on his own,
0:01:48 > 0:01:51in the Swishy Swashy Grassland.
0:01:51 > 0:01:54BigSissysaurus could.
0:01:54 > 0:01:56And he was absolutely forbidden
0:01:56 > 0:02:00to go near the Ooh-Ouch Mountain.
0:02:00 > 0:02:01But even BigSissysaurus
0:02:01 > 0:02:04was not allowed to go THERE.
0:02:04 > 0:02:08But the one thing Tinysaurus was most sad about
0:02:08 > 0:02:13was being too tiny to look after the eggs for Mummysaurus on his own.
0:02:14 > 0:02:17Tinysaurus loved the eggs.
0:02:17 > 0:02:19He sat and watched the nest.
0:02:19 > 0:02:21He nuzzled them.
0:02:21 > 0:02:22He turned them.
0:02:22 > 0:02:24He talked to them.
0:02:24 > 0:02:27He could not wait for them to hatch.
0:02:27 > 0:02:32One day, while Mummysaurus and Daddysaurus were out hunting,
0:02:32 > 0:02:35a shadow fell over Tinysaurus,
0:02:35 > 0:02:38and the ground shook.
0:02:38 > 0:02:43He looked up to see a huge Nastysaurus eyeing up the eggs.
0:02:43 > 0:02:47"Mm, supper!", it snarled.
0:02:47 > 0:02:51The Nastysaurus swiped at BigSissysaurus with his tail,
0:02:51 > 0:02:53knocking her flying.
0:02:53 > 0:02:56"Got to save the eggs!", Tinysaurus thought.
0:02:56 > 0:02:59The Nastysaurus tried to swipe at him.
0:02:59 > 0:03:01But Tinysaurus was so tiny
0:03:01 > 0:03:04that he kept missing.
0:03:04 > 0:03:08Tinysaurus balanced the nest carefully, and ran!
0:03:08 > 0:03:13"Run, Tinysaurus, run", BigSissysaurus shouted.
0:03:13 > 0:03:16Tinysaurus ran towards the Plippy Ploppy Water Hole.
0:03:16 > 0:03:19Plip, plop, plip, plop.
0:03:19 > 0:03:22The water was so deep that it almost washed over him.
0:03:22 > 0:03:24But he ran on.
0:03:24 > 0:03:27He came to the Sludgy Squelchy Swamp.
0:03:28 > 0:03:30Sludge, squelch, sludge, squelch.
0:03:30 > 0:03:33His tiny feet almost got stuck.
0:03:33 > 0:03:37A quick dart out, and into the Swishy Squashy Grassland.
0:03:37 > 0:03:40Swish, swash, swish, swash.
0:03:40 > 0:03:44Tinysaurus belted along, but oh, no, he'd been spotted!
0:03:44 > 0:03:47The Nastysaurus was so close.
0:03:47 > 0:03:51Tinysaurus looked ahead and saw the Ooh-Ouch Mountain.
0:03:52 > 0:03:56He took a deep breath, and ran!
0:03:56 > 0:03:58Ooh, ouch, ooh, ouch, ooh, ouch!
0:03:58 > 0:04:01His toes were singed, but still he kept going.
0:04:01 > 0:04:05He just hoped the eggs didn't boil.
0:04:05 > 0:04:07At the top, Tinysaurus spotted
0:04:07 > 0:04:09a small hole in the side of the mountain.
0:04:09 > 0:04:12He was just the right size to squeeze inside it.
0:04:12 > 0:04:16The Nastysaurus came closer.
0:04:16 > 0:04:20And closer. And closer.
0:04:20 > 0:04:24It poked in its snout. Its huge jaws snapped at Tinysaurus.
0:04:24 > 0:04:27And then the Nastysaurus couldn't move in.
0:04:27 > 0:04:29And it couldn't move out.
0:04:29 > 0:04:30It was stuck.
0:04:30 > 0:04:33Tinysaurus quickly sneaked out underneath him.
0:04:33 > 0:04:37The Nastysaurus was furious.
0:04:38 > 0:04:42Mummysaurus and Daddysaurus came huffing and puffing up.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45"Are you OK?", they panted.
0:04:45 > 0:04:47Tinysaurus nodded.
0:04:47 > 0:04:50"Are you angry with me for coming up here?", he asked.
0:04:50 > 0:04:53They both nuzzled him closely.
0:04:53 > 0:04:55"How could we be angry?
0:04:55 > 0:04:58"You've saved the eggs.
0:04:58 > 0:05:00"You are a hero."
0:05:02 > 0:05:05The next morning Tinysaurus had a lovely surprise.
0:05:05 > 0:05:09There, in the nest, were three Babysauruses.
0:05:09 > 0:05:11They had tiny teeth,
0:05:11 > 0:05:13tiny claws
0:05:13 > 0:05:15and teeny, tiny roars.
0:05:16 > 0:05:20Tinysaurus grinned an enormous grin.
0:05:20 > 0:05:22"You know what this means," he said.
0:05:22 > 0:05:25"I'm not Tinysaurus any more.
0:05:25 > 0:05:28"I am Bigbrosaurus."
0:05:28 > 0:05:32And he was the best Bigbrosaurus ever.
0:05:34 > 0:05:37That story was called Tinysaurus.
0:05:37 > 0:05:39Tinysaurus saved the day, didn't he?
0:05:39 > 0:05:42He got everything he wished for, and best of all,
0:05:42 > 0:05:44he became a big brother.
0:05:44 > 0:05:48I think he'll have lots of fun with his new baby brothers and sisters.
0:05:48 > 0:05:53But it's your bedtime now, so off you go.
0:05:53 > 0:05:54Night-night.
0:05:54 > 0:05:56Sleep tight.
