0:00:15 > 0:00:18Tonight's tale is about someone who loves stories.

0:00:18 > 0:00:20Would you like to hear it?

0:00:20 > 0:00:22Great.

0:00:22 > 0:00:26It's called Dog Loves Books and it's by Louise Yates.

0:00:29 > 0:00:30Dog loved books.

0:00:30 > 0:00:35He loved the smell of them and he loved the feel of them.

0:00:35 > 0:00:37He loved everything about them.

0:00:37 > 0:00:41Dog loved books so much that he decided to open

0:00:41 > 0:00:42his own bookshop.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45He unwrapped,

0:00:45 > 0:00:46unpacked

0:00:46 > 0:00:51and stacked the books ready for the grand opening.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54When the day of the opening finally came,

0:00:54 > 0:00:55Dog had a bath,

0:00:55 > 0:00:58dried his hair... WHOOSH

0:00:58 > 0:00:59..blew his nose... BRRRR

0:00:59 > 0:01:03..and threw open the door to greet his new customers.

0:01:03 > 0:01:04WOOF

0:01:04 > 0:01:07But there was no-one there. HE GROANS

0:01:07 > 0:01:09So, Dog tried to keep busy.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12And then a lady came into the shop.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14DING

0:01:14 > 0:01:19"I'll have a tea with milk and two sugars," she said.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21"I'm sorry," said Dog.

0:01:21 > 0:01:23"But this is a bookshop.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26"I only sell books."

0:01:26 > 0:01:28The lady walked out.

0:01:28 > 0:01:29Dog was alone.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31HE WHIMPERS

0:01:31 > 0:01:33He waited and waited.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35DING WOOF

0:01:35 > 0:01:39Then a man came into the shop to ask directions.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42When he left, Dog was downhearted.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44HE WHIMPERS

0:01:44 > 0:01:46But not for long!

0:01:46 > 0:01:49He wouldn't wait a moment more.

0:01:49 > 0:01:53Dog fetched a book from the shelf and began to read.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57When he read, he forgot that he was waiting.

0:01:57 > 0:02:01When he read, he forgot that he was alone.

0:02:01 > 0:02:05When he read, he forgot that he was in the bookshop!

0:02:05 > 0:02:09And when one adventure ended, Dog simply took another book

0:02:09 > 0:02:12down from the shelf and a new adventure began.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14BOING BOING BOING BOING

0:02:15 > 0:02:18So, Dog was somewhere else altogether when...

0:02:18 > 0:02:21DING ..a customer came in to the shop

0:02:21 > 0:02:22to ask for a book!

0:02:22 > 0:02:25Dog knew exactly which ones to recommend.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27WOOF

0:02:27 > 0:02:29Dog loves books, but most of all...

0:02:29 > 0:02:31WOOF ..he loves to share them.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36That story was called Dog Loves Books

0:02:36 > 0:02:38and I think Dog is right.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41The best thing about books is sharing them.

0:02:41 > 0:02:45Thank you for letting me share tonight's bedtime story with you.
