0:00:06 > 0:00:11Hello, I'm Dr Ranj. Do you like my skeleton friend?

0:00:11 > 0:00:13She looks silly, doesn't she?

0:00:13 > 0:00:15Tonight's bedtime story

0:00:15 > 0:00:18is all about the adventures of four silly skeletons,

0:00:18 > 0:00:22so make sure your skeleton bones are sitting comfortably.

0:00:22 > 0:00:26It's called Four Silly Skeletons and is written by Mark Sperring,

0:00:26 > 0:00:30with illustrations by Sue Hendra.

0:00:30 > 0:00:37Meet four silly skeletons - Fred, Sid, Belle and Bill.

0:00:37 > 0:00:40They live in this house at the top of the steep hill.

0:00:40 > 0:00:44And here at the bottom, where the ground is good and flat,

0:00:44 > 0:00:48lives their dear, sweet Auntie June and her skellybones cat.

0:00:48 > 0:00:49MEOW

0:00:49 > 0:00:53Now, every single day, there always seems to be

0:00:53 > 0:00:57a silly little mishap - sometimes two or three.

0:00:59 > 0:01:03But luckily, dear Auntie June is never far away

0:01:03 > 0:01:07to pick up all the pieces and make everything OK.

0:01:08 > 0:01:13On one dark and starry night, when the moon was big and round,

0:01:13 > 0:01:18Skelly Fred heard music - such a sweet, toe-tapping sound.

0:01:19 > 0:01:25Belle, she started twirling. Bill's knees began to knock. Then "Cuckoo!"

0:01:25 > 0:01:31went the cuckoo in the skelly cuckoo clock. "It's midnight!"

0:01:31 > 0:01:35shouted Skelly Sid. "But what do we all care?

0:01:35 > 0:01:39"How can we think of sleeping when there's music in the air?"

0:01:39 > 0:01:43So four silly skeletons shimmied down the hill

0:01:43 > 0:01:47with a swish and a sway and a leap and a twirl.

0:01:48 > 0:01:51Rumba, samba - well, look at them all go!

0:01:51 > 0:01:55Bone-rocking, high-kicking, to and funny fro.

0:01:55 > 0:01:59Jive-bopping, leapfrogging - oh, a body pop -

0:01:59 > 0:02:03until a sweet, worried voice cried, "Stop! Stop! Stop!"

0:02:03 > 0:02:08It was dear, sweet Auntie June with a bottomless bag

0:02:08 > 0:02:10and she said to those skeletons,

0:02:10 > 0:02:14"I'm not one to nag, but take these lamps and torches and this

0:02:14 > 0:02:20"shining candlestick, for it's dark out on this steep, steep hill.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22"You know I worry sick!"

0:02:22 > 0:02:27But four silly skeletons said they didn't need more light.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29"Just look," they said to Auntie June,

0:02:29 > 0:02:32"the moon's still big and bright."

0:02:33 > 0:02:36So off they danced with a skip and a hop,

0:02:36 > 0:02:41and not one of them saw the great big drop!

0:02:42 > 0:02:46"Help!" Four silly skeletons, all in a heap.

0:02:48 > 0:02:53A pile of bones, stacked up steep, moaning and groaning beneath

0:02:53 > 0:02:58the cloudy moon, weeping and wailing, "We want our Auntie June!"

0:03:00 > 0:03:02And just then came a bright,

0:03:02 > 0:03:07beaming light that shone like gold in the dark, dark night.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11And dear Auntie June took some string and sticky glue

0:03:11 > 0:03:15and put them back together, almost as good as new.

0:03:16 > 0:03:20Now, Belle has two left feet, Fred has two right,

0:03:20 > 0:03:24Bill is a muddle and Sid says, "Serves us right.

0:03:25 > 0:03:29"Next time we go dancing beneath the full moon,

0:03:29 > 0:03:33"we really must listen to clever Auntie June."

0:03:33 > 0:03:34MEOW

0:03:35 > 0:03:37I hope you enjoyed that story.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Fred, Sid, Belle and Bill did get into a muddle, didn't they?

0:03:40 > 0:03:43Thank goodness for Auntie June!

0:03:43 > 0:03:47Maybe you'll dream about dancing under a full moon tonight,

0:03:47 > 0:03:48just like the skeletons.

0:03:48 > 0:03:53Night-night, sleep well and I'll see you soon for another bedtime story.
