0:00:15 > 0:00:18Peter is about to go on a very exciting adventure

0:00:18 > 0:00:22in tonight's bedtime story, which is called Puffin Peter.

0:00:26 > 0:00:29This is Peter, and this is Paul.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34Peter and Paul were the best of friends.

0:00:34 > 0:00:38Paul made Peter laugh by being funny and noisy.

0:00:38 > 0:00:43They spent their days happily fishing around their rocky island.

0:00:43 > 0:00:46One day, while they were out diving,

0:00:46 > 0:00:50a storm blew up, a big, big storm!

0:00:53 > 0:00:58Peter was lost. He was blown far out to sea.

0:01:00 > 0:01:04At last, the storm was over.

0:01:04 > 0:01:08"Where am I?" said Peter. He opened his eyes.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10"And where is Paul?"

0:01:12 > 0:01:15"Hello," said a kind whale.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18"Are you lost?" "Yes," said Peter.

0:01:18 > 0:01:21"And I've lost my best friend, Paul."

0:01:21 > 0:01:25"What's he like?" said the whale.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30"Oh, Paul is funny and noisy. Can you help me find him?"

0:01:31 > 0:01:36"Funny and noisy? I know just where to look," said the whale,

0:01:36 > 0:01:38and they set off together.

0:01:40 > 0:01:46"Here we are," said the whale, as they arrived on a small island.

0:01:46 > 0:01:48"Which one is Paul?"

0:01:48 > 0:01:51The birds were funny and noisy.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54But they were nothing like Paul.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58"Paul is not a parrot," said Peter.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02"Paul's feathers are black and white."

0:02:02 > 0:02:07"Funny, noisy and black and white?" said the whale.

0:02:07 > 0:02:11"I know just where to look." And off they set.

0:02:11 > 0:02:15"Here we are! It's rather cold."

0:02:15 > 0:02:20The birds were funny, noisy and black and white.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23But they were nothing like Paul.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26"Paul is not a penguin," said Peter.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28"Paul's beak is very colourful."

0:02:29 > 0:02:36"Funny, noisy, black and white with a colourful beak?" said the whale.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40"I know exactly where to look." And they set off again.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44The bird on the island was funny,

0:02:44 > 0:02:48noisy, black and white with a colourful beak,

0:02:48 > 0:02:50but he wasn't Paul.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54"Paul is not a toucan," said Peter.

0:02:54 > 0:03:00"We're never going to find him." Peter was very sad.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04The whale didn't know where else to look,

0:03:04 > 0:03:07so they drifted across the ocean.

0:03:10 > 0:03:16After a few days, some tiny islands appeared on the horizon.

0:03:16 > 0:03:20Peter was too sad to look as he drifted towards them.

0:03:20 > 0:03:24"Look!" said the whale. "What's that?"

0:03:26 > 0:03:30It was black and white, with a colourful beak.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33It was funny and noisy.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36It was Paul!

0:03:36 > 0:03:38Peter was overjoyed.

0:03:39 > 0:03:44"So this is Paul!" cried the whale. "Why didn't you tell me?"

0:03:45 > 0:03:47"Tell you what?" said Peter.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49The whale smiled.

0:03:49 > 0:03:55"That he's a puffin just like you!"

0:03:55 > 0:03:58What a lovely story.

0:03:58 > 0:04:01I'm so pleased the whale helped Peter to find Paul.

0:04:01 > 0:04:06Do you have a best friend who is funny and noisy? You do?
