0:00:40 > 0:00:43The news spread quickly, the word went round,
0:00:43 > 0:00:48from lakes and ditch, across boggy ground.
0:00:48 > 0:00:51To garden ponds and further still,
0:00:51 > 0:00:54as an audience gathered on the side of the hill
0:00:54 > 0:00:56for the Frog Olympics!
0:00:56 > 0:00:59And frogs of every colour and size
0:00:59 > 0:01:03watched the events through big, bulgy eyes.
0:01:03 > 0:01:07There were frogs that had swum from across the sea,
0:01:07 > 0:01:11there were tree frogs peeping from every tree
0:01:11 > 0:01:13at the Frog Olympics!
0:01:13 > 0:01:18There were medals for tongues that could catch most flies,
0:01:18 > 0:01:22and the frog that hopped away with first prize
0:01:22 > 0:01:24was an elderly frog,
0:01:24 > 0:01:30whose tongue when uncurled could stretch halfway round the world,
0:01:30 > 0:01:32at the Frog Olympics!
0:01:32 > 0:01:35There were medals for winning the three-legged frog
0:01:35 > 0:01:38and for jumping in and out of a bog.
0:01:40 > 0:01:44There was leapfrogging streams, from bank to bank,
0:01:44 > 0:01:47and skilful pole vaulting over a plank...
0:01:48 > 0:01:51..at the Frog Olympics!
0:01:52 > 0:01:57Then to celebrate the end of the Games, a torch was lit
0:01:57 > 0:02:00and they followed the flames
0:02:00 > 0:02:02to a stream where the final event took place,
0:02:02 > 0:02:07a fast and furious tadpole race, at the Frog Olympics!
0:02:09 > 0:02:13And, oh, those leaps that were so fantastic,
0:02:13 > 0:02:17from frogs that must have had legs of elastic.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20Well, everyone agreed that one day soon,
0:02:20 > 0:02:23they might see a frog jumping over the moon.
0:02:26 > 0:02:29Well, a cow did it once, or so they say,
0:02:29 > 0:02:31so frogs keep practising every day.
0:02:35 > 0:02:40What a brilliant story! I would love to see a frog jumping over the moon.
0:02:40 > 0:02:42Wouldn't you?
0:02:42 > 0:02:45And after all that exercise and excitement,
0:02:45 > 0:02:48this little frog looks like he's ready for bed
0:02:48 > 0:02:50and I'm sure you are too.
