0:22:40 > 0:22:43were having a very important meeting.

0:22:43 > 0:22:46"This is a very important meeting," said Owl,

0:22:46 > 0:22:50"we need to do something about the monster of the woods."

0:22:50 > 0:22:52"I'm scared!" cried Rabbit.

0:22:52 > 0:22:54"No-one's safe while it's around!" squeaked Mouse,

0:22:54 > 0:22:58"I've heard he's big and horribly hairy."

0:22:58 > 0:23:01"And very scary," trembled Rabbit.

0:23:01 > 0:23:05"Don't panic!" said Owl, handing round notes he'd written.

0:23:05 > 0:23:08"I'm sure we've nothing to worry about,

0:23:08 > 0:23:10"but just in case I have a plan."

0:23:10 > 0:23:12"What to do if the monster of the woods

0:23:12 > 0:23:17"comes calling on a dark, stormy night. Number one, lock the door.

0:23:17 > 0:23:20"Number two, pull the curtains shut.

0:23:20 > 0:23:23"Number three, pretend you're not at home.

0:23:23 > 0:23:28"Remember," said Owl, "the monster probably won't call at all."

0:23:28 > 0:23:31"He will if it's dark and stormy," shivered Rabbit.

0:23:31 > 0:23:33"And if he's hungry," added Mouse.

0:23:33 > 0:23:37"Don't worry," said Owl, "if we follow my plan we'll be safe."

0:23:44 > 0:23:46CRASH! BANG! CRASH!

0:23:46 > 0:23:48"It's only the thunder," he thought.

0:23:48 > 0:23:52HOWL! HOWL! HOWL!

0:23:52 > 0:23:54"It's only the wind," he told himself.

0:23:57 > 0:23:59What was that?

0:23:59 > 0:24:02Quick as he could Owl locked the door,

0:24:02 > 0:24:06pulled the curtains shut and pretended he was not at home.

0:24:06 > 0:24:08"Let me in," called Rabbit,

0:24:08 > 0:24:11"I thought I heard the monster and I'm drenched!"

0:24:11 > 0:24:15"Come in," said Owl, "it's only a nasty, noisy storm."

0:24:15 > 0:24:17Rabbit scurried inside.

0:24:17 > 0:24:18TAPPITY-TAP!

0:24:19 > 0:24:21What was that?

0:24:21 > 0:24:23"Quick," cried Owl, "the plan!"

0:24:27 > 0:24:32"Let me in," called Mouse, "I thought I heard the monster, I'm freezing."

0:24:32 > 0:24:37"Come in, Mouse," said Owl, "it's only a noisy, nasty storm."

0:24:37 > 0:24:41Mouse curled up by the fire, Owl made some nice, hot cocoa.

0:24:41 > 0:24:45"See," he said, "we're all safe now."

0:24:45 > 0:24:46TAPPITY-TAP-TAP!

0:24:46 > 0:24:47What was that?

0:24:47 > 0:24:50Rabbit dropped his mug in fright.

0:24:50 > 0:24:54"Is that the Mouse knocking on the front door?" he whispered.

0:24:54 > 0:24:57"I'm already here, silly," Mouse squeaked.

0:24:57 > 0:24:59"Is it Owl, then?" Rabbit gulped.

0:24:59 > 0:25:01"I'm here too," Owl cried.

0:25:01 > 0:25:03They looked at each other.

0:25:03 > 0:25:07"Oh no," they whispered together, "it must be...

0:25:07 > 0:25:08"THE MONSTER OF THE WOODS!"

0:25:08 > 0:25:12"Stay calm," shouted Owl, "remember my plan."

0:25:12 > 0:25:13So they locked the door,

0:25:13 > 0:25:18pulled the curtain shut and pretended they were not at home.

0:25:23 > 0:25:26Sniffle, snuffle, squeak.

0:25:26 > 0:25:31"That doesn't sound like a monster," frowned Rabbit, forgetting to hide.

0:25:31 > 0:25:35"Sounds like crying," said Mouse, nervously opening the curtains.

0:25:35 > 0:25:40"Whoever it is sounds frightened," agreed Owl, "maybe they need help."

0:25:40 > 0:25:45He peeped through the peep-hole. Slowly Owl unlocked the door.

0:25:45 > 0:25:47THUNDER

0:25:47 > 0:25:51A tiny, bedraggled, furry...thing stood on the doorstep.

0:25:51 > 0:25:54"Who are you?" Everyone gasped.

0:25:54 > 0:25:56"I'm the monster of the woods."

0:25:56 > 0:25:59"You?" said Mouse, "You're not very big."

0:25:59 > 0:26:01"Bigger than you," it said.

0:26:01 > 0:26:05"You're not horribly hairy either," added Rabbit.

0:26:05 > 0:26:07"It flattened in the rain," it replied.

0:26:07 > 0:26:10"And you're not scary," said Owl.

0:26:10 > 0:26:12"It's true," the monster sighed,

0:26:12 > 0:26:15"I don't know why everyone's frightened of me."

0:26:31 > 0:26:36"Before we begin," Owl beamed, "let's welcome the monster of the woods."

0:26:36 > 0:26:40The monster giggled, "But my friends call me Snuggles."

0:26:40 > 0:26:45And everyone agreed, Snuggles was the perfect name. The end.
