0:07:49 > 0:07:57.
0:08:07 > 0:08:09Oh, no, what a mess.
0:08:09 > 0:08:11Oh, hello. I'm Shelley.
0:08:11 > 0:08:14Do you know who's left this mess here?
0:08:14 > 0:08:15You don't?
0:08:15 > 0:08:17Hmm, neither do I.
0:08:17 > 0:08:21Maybe there's some clues. Let's see what's there.
0:08:21 > 0:08:22There's some bowls,
0:08:22 > 0:08:24some spoons,
0:08:24 > 0:08:27some cereal and lots of popcorn.
0:08:27 > 0:08:30No? I still don't know, do you?
0:08:30 > 0:08:33I did want to tell you tonight's bedtime story,
0:08:33 > 0:08:36but I really should tidy up.
0:08:36 > 0:08:39I know, I'll tell you the story and then tidy up.
0:08:39 > 0:08:42Might help us work out who's left this here.
0:08:42 > 0:08:45There's a boy who finds a mess in tonight's story.
0:08:45 > 0:08:49It's by Joanna Harrison and it's called Grizzly Dad.
0:08:49 > 0:08:53Dad woke up in a grizzly mood.
0:08:53 > 0:08:57All morning, he groaned and grizzled and grumped
0:08:57 > 0:08:59and then he went back to bed.
0:08:59 > 0:09:01He was just like a bear with a sore head.
0:09:01 > 0:09:04When Mum finished clearing up,
0:09:04 > 0:09:06she and my brother and sister had to go out.
0:09:06 > 0:09:09"Go and see how Dad is," she said.
0:09:09 > 0:09:11So I went upstairs to wake him.
0:09:11 > 0:09:14"Dad," I whispered, but he only grunted.
0:09:14 > 0:09:18"Dad," I said, but he only snuffled.
0:09:18 > 0:09:21"Dad!" I yelled and pulled back the bed covers.
0:09:21 > 0:09:23But it wasn't Dad in bed at all.
0:09:23 > 0:09:27It was a great big grizzly bear.
0:09:27 > 0:09:32I should've been frightened, but the grumpy look reminded me of someone.
0:09:32 > 0:09:34"Dad," I said, "Is that you?"
0:09:34 > 0:09:37The bear rushed off to the mirror.
0:09:37 > 0:09:38He grunted miserably.
0:09:38 > 0:09:41"Don't worry, Dad, I'll look after you."
0:09:41 > 0:09:45So I wiped his eyes, combed his hair, brushed his teeth,
0:09:45 > 0:09:48he was a bit smelly, and gave him breakfast.
0:09:48 > 0:09:51Now that Dad was a bear, his manners were awful.
0:09:51 > 0:09:55And when he rummaged in the fridge, I'd had enough.
0:09:55 > 0:09:58"Dad, I'm fed up with you. First you're in a bad mood,
0:09:58 > 0:10:03"then you turn into a bear and now you're making a horrible mess."
0:10:03 > 0:10:07Dad looked at me in a funny way. Before I knew it, we were off.
0:10:07 > 0:10:09Heading into town. Vroom!
0:10:10 > 0:10:12First we went to the cinema.
0:10:12 > 0:10:15It was great. We had the place to ourselves.
0:10:15 > 0:10:19I began to realise that having a grizzly bear as a dad wasn't so bad.
0:10:19 > 0:10:21Then we went to the park.
0:10:21 > 0:10:26I taught Dad how to skateboard and he taught me how to scratch and climb
0:10:26 > 0:10:31and how to just lie about doing nothing at all.
0:10:31 > 0:10:35When we got home, we made honey sandwiches and watched football.
0:10:35 > 0:10:38It had been the best day ever.
0:10:38 > 0:10:40"Thanks, Dad," I said.
0:10:40 > 0:10:43"You're great. Even if you are a bear."
0:10:43 > 0:10:45Then Dad did what dads do best,
0:10:45 > 0:10:48he gave me a great big bear hug.
0:10:48 > 0:10:51When I looked up, he wasn't a bear anymore.
0:10:51 > 0:10:55Suddenly Mum came back and everything returned to normal.
0:10:55 > 0:10:57Well, almost.
0:10:57 > 0:10:59"What a mess!" said Mum.
0:10:59 > 0:11:01"This place looks like a pig sty."
0:11:01 > 0:11:05"Sorry," we grunted and trotted off to clear it up.
0:11:06 > 0:11:09And that story was called Grizzly Dad.
0:11:09 > 0:11:12So that's who's made all this mess.
0:11:12 > 0:11:16Well, I'm gonna get tidying up while you go to bed.
0:11:16 > 0:11:20I'll see you soon for another story. Night, night.
0:11:20 > 0:11:22Right, where will I start?
