0:29:10 > 0:29:13Oh, hello. I'm Shelley. Can you help me?

0:29:13 > 0:29:15I'm hanging out the washing,

0:29:15 > 0:29:18and there are so many socks - none match! Look.

0:29:18 > 0:29:21One's orange and white, One's rainbow-coloured...

0:29:21 > 0:29:24It'll take a long time to pair up these socks.

0:29:24 > 0:29:27There are odd socks in tonight's story.

0:29:27 > 0:29:31Pippin and Tog have lost a special coloured sock.

0:29:31 > 0:29:35The story is by Joyce Dunbar and Sanja Rescek - Where's My Sock?

0:29:35 > 0:29:40Pippin was cross. Pippin was really cross.

0:29:40 > 0:29:42Pippin was as cross as can be.

0:29:42 > 0:29:45"What's the matter, Pippin?" asked Tog.

0:29:45 > 0:29:48"I can't find my other sock," said Pippin.

0:29:48 > 0:29:50"Which sock?" asked Tog.

0:29:50 > 0:29:53"My yellow sock with the clocks," said Pippin.

0:29:53 > 0:29:55"Like the one I'm wearing."

0:29:55 > 0:29:59"I'll help find it," said Tog. Tog looked in the sock drawer.

0:29:59 > 0:30:04He found lots of socks but he didn't find a yellow sock with clocks.

0:30:04 > 0:30:06"A red sock with spots?" he asked.

0:30:06 > 0:30:09Pippin said, "I want my yellow sock with clocks."

0:30:09 > 0:30:13"How about a blue sock with stripes?" said Tog.

0:30:13 > 0:30:16"No," said Pippin. "I need my yellow sock with clocks."

0:30:16 > 0:30:21"How about a green sock with stars?" said Tog.

0:30:21 > 0:30:25"No," said Pippin. "I must have my yellow sock with clocks!

0:30:25 > 0:30:29"I don't want odd socks. I want to wear matching socks.

0:30:29 > 0:30:31"I shall look until I find it."

0:30:31 > 0:30:35Pippin emptied the sock drawer. And the handkerchief drawer

0:30:35 > 0:30:39and the sweater drawer and the bits-and-bobs drawer.

0:30:39 > 0:30:41No yellow socks with clocks.

0:30:41 > 0:30:46He emptied the laundry basket, the ironing basket, and the wastebasket,

0:30:46 > 0:30:48and the fruit basket!

0:30:48 > 0:30:50No yellow socks with clocks.

0:30:50 > 0:30:55"Sock! Sock, where are you?" wailed Pippin.

0:30:55 > 0:31:01"It's only a sock," said Tog. "It's no use crying over a lost sock."

0:31:01 > 0:31:05"I'm not crying," said Pippin. "I'm cross!"

0:31:05 > 0:31:08"Think of the poor lost sock," said Tog.

0:31:08 > 0:31:09"How awful it must feel!"

0:31:09 > 0:31:14"That's a thought," said Pippin. "It will be all alone," said Tog.

0:31:14 > 0:31:17"It may never ever be found," said Pippin.

0:31:17 > 0:31:21"Think of all the lost socks in the world," said Tog.

0:31:21 > 0:31:23"All the odd socks.

0:31:23 > 0:31:25"Socks that nobody wants to know.

0:31:25 > 0:31:28"Think of the socks with holes in the toes.

0:31:28 > 0:31:30"All the lonesome socks.

0:31:30 > 0:31:35"Socks that have lost their stretch. Socks that have shrunk in the wash.

0:31:35 > 0:31:38"Socks that were never ever worn."

0:31:38 > 0:31:42"That's a lot of sad socks," said Pippin.

0:31:42 > 0:31:45"And I'm a very sad Tog," said Tog.

0:31:45 > 0:31:50"I've got an idea," said Tog. "Let's go on a proper sock hunt."

0:31:50 > 0:31:54"That'll be fun," said Pippin. "Let's see how many we can find."

0:31:54 > 0:31:58They hunted socks lost under cushions, socks behind chairs,

0:31:58 > 0:32:02they hunted socks stuffed in pockets, and in shoes.

0:32:02 > 0:32:06Socks left in washing machines, socks blown away in the wind.

0:32:06 > 0:32:10They made a big pile. They tried to put them in pairs.

0:32:10 > 0:32:14"This is difficult," said Pippin. "We are making a muddle."

0:32:14 > 0:32:18"Put them in a line," said Tog. "We'll sort them out."

0:32:18 > 0:32:20They put them in a line,

0:32:20 > 0:32:23and followed the line, putting the socks in pairs.

0:32:23 > 0:32:27"There are still odd socks left over," said Pippin.

0:32:27 > 0:32:29"But no yellow socks with clocks."

0:32:29 > 0:32:31"You know what?" said Tog.

0:32:31 > 0:32:35"I think your yellow sock with clocks is hiding from us on purpose!

0:32:35 > 0:32:38"It will never ever be found."

0:32:38 > 0:32:41"Then I shall wear odd socks after all," said Pippin.

0:32:41 > 0:32:46"I shall wear one yellow sock with clocks, and one plain pink sock."

0:32:46 > 0:32:47And Pippin did.

0:32:47 > 0:32:50"I shall wear odd socks too," said Tog.

0:32:50 > 0:32:54"I wonder which pair I've got on." Pippin helped Tog with his shoes.

0:32:54 > 0:32:59Tog was wearing one purple sock with dots, and...

0:32:59 > 0:33:02one yellow sock with clocks!

0:33:02 > 0:33:05And that story was called Where's My Sock?

0:33:05 > 0:33:07Pippin may have found his sock,

0:33:07 > 0:33:11but I haven't managed to match all of those socks yet!

0:33:11 > 0:33:13I'll carry on while you go to bed,

0:33:13 > 0:33:17and I'll see you soon for another story. Night-night.

0:33:17 > 0:33:19So...

0:33:19 > 0:33:22this sock would go with...

0:33:22 > 0:33:24Oh, I don't know.
