0:00:43 > 0:00:45and they ended up taking the Wash Of Shame.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48There's still four days of crash course driving

0:00:48 > 0:00:50and high-octane challenges to go.

0:01:18 > 0:01:22Now, we're here to sort out our celebrities' dubious driving habits

0:01:22 > 0:01:25and bad road behaviour because, at the end of the week,

0:01:25 > 0:01:28they're going to be taking the driving test of their lives,

0:01:28 > 0:01:30the Monster Superskills Challenge!

0:01:30 > 0:01:33It's going to be a rough ride, so hold on tight.

0:01:33 > 0:01:36So, welcome back to Day Two of Celebrity Driving Academy.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39- Did you have a good day yesterday? - ALL:- Yeah!

0:01:39 > 0:01:43- Was you excited, kids? - Yes!- Yeah!

0:01:43 > 0:01:45- Right, shall we get this show on the road, guys?- ALL:- Yeah!

0:01:45 > 0:01:48Let's do this! Coming up on Day Two...

0:01:48 > 0:01:51Our rookies and parents are tested on their emergency stops

0:01:51 > 0:01:54in the Barrels Of Fun Superskills challenge.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58The quicker and safer our teams can stop, the more points they'll get.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02But first, our rookies need to learn how to do an emergency stop.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12Today's lesson is the emergency stop,

0:02:12 > 0:02:15a vital part of road safety that can save lives,

0:02:15 > 0:02:17and not just your own.

0:02:17 > 0:02:21What's it called? An immediate stop? No, an emergency stop!

0:02:21 > 0:02:24Stop! Harder. Harder! BRAKES SCREECH

0:02:24 > 0:02:28Taking the learner lessons is elite driving instructor Vicky Lovell.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31She's just the woman to teach our rookies about road safety.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34They're using their eyes, their hands, their feet,

0:02:34 > 0:02:38the steering, so they realise how difficult car control can be.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41But don't worry, we're well away from the public on private roads,

0:02:41 > 0:02:44and Vicky has a set of dual controls,

0:02:44 > 0:02:46so our rookies are in safe hands.

0:02:47 > 0:02:50- Immediately?- Mmm. - Like, suddenly?

0:02:50 > 0:02:52- Like, bam?- Yes.- Ugh.

0:02:52 > 0:02:54Yeah, Tia, you need to stop immediately,

0:02:54 > 0:02:57which means you need to pay attention,

0:02:57 > 0:02:59something that mum Nina struggled with yesterday.

0:02:59 > 0:03:01- Where's she going?!- Oops!

0:03:01 > 0:03:05And Nina doesn't pay much attention driving around town, either.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09- On the little roads...- Yes.- ..where all the shops and houses are,

0:03:09 > 0:03:11you could go a little bit faster.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14But it's stopping at speed that Tia seems to be struggling with.

0:03:14 > 0:03:17Stop! BRAKES SCREECH

0:03:17 > 0:03:18Oh, my!

0:03:18 > 0:03:23Tia was not really very confident about going faster and faster.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25- How did that feel?- Er...

0:03:25 > 0:03:28- Scary!- Scary?!

0:03:28 > 0:03:30'So, I was quite scared,'

0:03:30 > 0:03:34and I kept saying, "Say stop, say stop, say stop!"

0:03:34 > 0:03:37One person who never likes stopping is Tom,

0:03:37 > 0:03:39and it's not hard to see where he gets that from,

0:03:39 > 0:03:42his dad, Speedy Todd, the demon driver of Albert Square.

0:03:42 > 0:03:45He's moving down the straight there!

0:03:45 > 0:03:47I think we might have found ourselves a little boy racer!

0:03:47 > 0:03:50Do I ever speed? I think when I get impatient,

0:03:50 > 0:03:53or I want to get home to see my two boys.

0:03:53 > 0:03:56The thing I'm most excited about is going really quick.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59I like going really quick, like racing and driving.

0:03:59 > 0:04:01So, like father, like son, then!

0:04:01 > 0:04:04'When we were teaching Tom, he was very keen to go fast,'

0:04:04 > 0:04:07but wasn't always so keen to learn when to put the brakes on.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09What all our rookies need to understand

0:04:09 > 0:04:12is the higher speed, the longer the stopping distance.

0:04:12 > 0:04:16That's how long it takes you to stop the car using the brakes.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19Judging this will prove vital in our Superskills Challenge later.

0:04:19 > 0:04:23- Cos we went a little bit over 30. - That was awesome!

0:04:23 > 0:04:27Tom's going at 34mph here, rather than the standard 30.

0:04:27 > 0:04:31Watch what the extra 4mph does to his stopping distance.

0:04:31 > 0:04:33Why do you think it's a 30?

0:04:33 > 0:04:35So you don't kill anyone.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37Good answer, Tom.

0:04:38 > 0:04:42Lucy's dad Brian really struggled with going backwards yesterday.

0:04:42 > 0:04:45I'm going to have to start again. Oh, God!

0:04:45 > 0:04:47'I've driven for many years.'

0:04:47 > 0:04:49I'm not the best reverser, though,

0:04:49 > 0:04:53so that is obviously something I've got to focus on.

0:04:53 > 0:04:55But Lucy needs to focus on stopping.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58Brake, Lucy! Brake!

0:04:59 > 0:05:02- Too late.- Stop! Stop!

0:05:02 > 0:05:06Whoa! That was scary.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08- We need to practise that, don't we?- Yeah.

0:05:08 > 0:05:10I think I just destroyed one of the cones.

0:05:10 > 0:05:12Yeah, yeah, I destroyed two.

0:05:12 > 0:05:14You always feel you're going to hit it,

0:05:14 > 0:05:19cos it's, like, that much away from your car,

0:05:19 > 0:05:22and it's so frightening, but it's fun.

0:05:28 > 0:05:30So, it's time for Superskills.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32Now, today's course has been designed

0:05:32 > 0:05:35to see how much our teams have learned about speed and braking.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Will they have learned enough to pass,

0:05:37 > 0:05:39or will they be criminally bad?

0:05:39 > 0:05:42- HORN BEEPS, SIREN WAILS - Whoa! It's a fair cop, Guv!

0:05:49 > 0:05:52Today's Superskills Challenge is going to be a barrel of fun.

0:05:52 > 0:05:56Our teams must drive at the correct speed of 30mph for the kids

0:05:56 > 0:05:59and 50mph for the adults, before hitting the brakes

0:05:59 > 0:06:02for a clean, fast emergency stop in our scoring zone.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05The closer they get to the barrels without hitting them,

0:06:05 > 0:06:09the more points they get. Stop short, and they'll lose points.

0:06:09 > 0:06:11There are three increasingly difficult rounds,

0:06:11 > 0:06:14with each driver getting one shot at each round.

0:06:14 > 0:06:15So, who's going to go the distance

0:06:15 > 0:06:18and win the top stop on today's podium?

0:06:18 > 0:06:24And who's going to come up short and have to face the Wash Of Shame?

0:06:24 > 0:06:27Casting her strict eye over proceedings

0:06:27 > 0:06:31will be the Academy's chief examiner extraordinaire, Sandra Dobson.

0:06:31 > 0:06:36You cannot be responsible for a car if you don't know how to stop it.

0:06:36 > 0:06:40Most people drive too close, and I think this challenge

0:06:40 > 0:06:43demonstrates exactly what happens when you do that.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46But before our teams get their first run at Barrels Of Fun,

0:06:46 > 0:06:48let's have a look at the leaderboard.

0:06:48 > 0:06:50The Oranges and the Greens have three points each,

0:06:50 > 0:06:52and the Blues have one.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55But who's going to get those all-important points

0:06:55 > 0:06:58from today's super-tough Superskills challenge?

0:06:58 > 0:07:01First up, we have Nina and Tia.

0:07:01 > 0:07:05So, here comes the Greens, and Tia's not entirely confident

0:07:05 > 0:07:07that Mum's mind is always on driving.

0:07:07 > 0:07:09- OK.- Are you ready?

0:07:09 > 0:07:12Are you ready? It's been good knowing you, Tia.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15- You too, Mum. - THEY LAUGH

0:07:15 > 0:07:19Scatterbrain Nina needs to show a bit of focus here,

0:07:19 > 0:07:21and reach the right speed.

0:07:22 > 0:07:25There she goes, 50mph.

0:07:26 > 0:07:29TIA SCREAMS

0:07:32 > 0:07:34Well, goodness gracious me!

0:07:34 > 0:07:39Look at that! A screeching halt for Nina, and a screaming halt for Tia.

0:07:39 > 0:07:41APPLAUSE

0:07:41 > 0:07:45Nina and Tia, you scored 30 points! Well done!

0:07:45 > 0:07:49It's scary, because the barrels approach you really fast,

0:07:49 > 0:07:51and you think, "I should do it now, I should do it now,"

0:07:51 > 0:07:55but, actually, when you're just that little bit scared, you get it.

0:07:55 > 0:07:59Nina's got really into the zone, in her head and on the track,

0:07:59 > 0:08:01earning 30 points for the Greens.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06Next up, Tia did well in the practice run,

0:08:06 > 0:08:08but this is the real thing now.

0:08:08 > 0:08:10Oh, gosh.

0:08:10 > 0:08:12And she's off...slowly.

0:08:12 > 0:08:15Oh, give her a chance, give her a chance.

0:08:15 > 0:08:19Here comes Tia. She's hit the required 30mph.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21Tell me where you'll put the brakes on.

0:08:21 > 0:08:25She's going to do it! She's, she's...stopped.

0:08:25 > 0:08:28Oh, dear. Has her confidence from earlier left her?

0:08:28 > 0:08:32Unlucky, Tia. Unfortunately, you fell short of the scoring zone,

0:08:32 > 0:08:34so that'll be minus ten points.

0:08:34 > 0:08:39Tia has massively underestimated the stopping distance at that speed.

0:08:39 > 0:08:43So, at the end of the first run, Tia's minus ten from Nina's 30

0:08:43 > 0:08:46leaves them with 20 points.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50Next up, it's the Orange Team, and first to go is Todd,

0:08:50 > 0:08:54our boy racer. Has he learnt anything from yesterday?

0:08:54 > 0:08:57Todd's relying on Tom to tell him when to stop.

0:08:57 > 0:08:59Is this such a great idea?

0:08:59 > 0:09:01He's reached 50mph.

0:09:01 > 0:09:03Stop!

0:09:03 > 0:09:05Oh! What was that?!

0:09:05 > 0:09:07A disaster, that's what that was!

0:09:07 > 0:09:10And minus ten points for Todd.

0:09:11 > 0:09:13I know Todd likes to go fast,

0:09:13 > 0:09:16but Tom didn't need to tell him to stop that early!

0:09:16 > 0:09:18I thought he did absolutely rubbish!

0:09:18 > 0:09:21He wasn't too great at judging Dad's speed,

0:09:21 > 0:09:25but can Tom do any better himself and make up for Todd's minus points?

0:09:25 > 0:09:27Tom will be pretty determined, I think,

0:09:27 > 0:09:30- to do one better than his dad. - Yeah, I think you're right.

0:09:30 > 0:09:35He struggled to stay under 30mph in his lesson...

0:09:35 > 0:09:38Just 30, don't accelerate any more.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42..so can he control his speed?

0:09:43 > 0:09:46THEY GROAN

0:09:46 > 0:09:50Howzat! He's really rolled out the barrels.

0:09:50 > 0:09:52When I smashed into the barriers,

0:09:52 > 0:09:56it felt kind of good, cos it was nice and loud,

0:09:56 > 0:09:59but I was really annoyed. I just didn't get it.

0:09:59 > 0:10:02At the end of the first run, Tom braked too early,

0:10:02 > 0:10:06Todd braked too late. Minus ten points for Team Carty.

0:10:06 > 0:10:10Last to go are the Blue Team, Brian and Lucy,

0:10:10 > 0:10:12and after yesterday's poor performance,

0:10:12 > 0:10:14Brian needs a little bit of luck.

0:10:14 > 0:10:17Ooh, I won't be screaming.

0:10:17 > 0:10:18Wishing your daddy luck.

0:10:18 > 0:10:21Kissed the car? Check. Roger.

0:10:21 > 0:10:24Now he's kissed the car, let's see how they get on.

0:10:24 > 0:10:27- To third.- I'm didn't scream, Dad.

0:10:27 > 0:10:29Back off a tiny bit.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32Stop! BRAKES SCREECH

0:10:32 > 0:10:33CHEERING

0:10:33 > 0:10:36Whoa! That's the top of the stops so far.

0:10:36 > 0:10:39And no need for airbags when Lucy's cheeks are about.

0:10:39 > 0:10:42Nice cheeks, Lucy. Nice braking, Brian.

0:10:47 > 0:10:50Well done, Brian, congratulations!

0:10:50 > 0:10:54You scored yourself 50 points! Well done!

0:10:54 > 0:10:58Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen, thank you.

0:10:58 > 0:11:00That 50 points puts the Blues in the lead.

0:11:00 > 0:11:02And last to go on Round One, it's Lucy.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05She's desperately trying to stay calm,

0:11:05 > 0:11:07as she didn't do very well in the lesson.

0:11:07 > 0:11:09Stop at 30. Stop!

0:11:11 > 0:11:15- Oh, my God!- A little bit more, sweetie. Not much, not much.

0:11:15 > 0:11:18Go, go, go... Brake!

0:11:19 > 0:11:22You beauty!

0:11:22 > 0:11:23- Oh, my God!- You beauty!

0:11:23 > 0:11:26I just went, "Ooh, better stop now, should I?"

0:11:26 > 0:11:29And I just guessed when to stop, and I was like...

0:11:29 > 0:11:31I know, and a result, well done.

0:11:31 > 0:11:33And I was just like, "Whoa!"

0:11:33 > 0:11:36Yeah, I got 20.

0:11:36 > 0:11:39That's 20 points for Lucy, which makes her the first rookie

0:11:39 > 0:11:41to get on today's scoreboard.

0:11:41 > 0:11:44Adding Brian's 50 points means the Blues have sped into an early lead

0:11:44 > 0:11:47with 70 points.

0:11:47 > 0:11:49The Greens are second with 20 points,

0:11:49 > 0:11:53and the Oranges have been squeezed at minus ten points.

0:11:53 > 0:11:55So that's the end of Round One.

0:11:55 > 0:11:58Round Two coming up later but has anyone seen Sandra?

0:11:58 > 0:12:00Have you seen Sandra?

0:12:00 > 0:12:03- Have you? Sorry, mate, - I ain't seen her, no.

0:12:03 > 0:12:05Where does she keep going?

0:12:12 > 0:12:13Ah, there she is,

0:12:13 > 0:12:17playing with her toy cars under the watchful eye of James May.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19Change of direction into the parking space,

0:12:19 > 0:12:21make sure it's clear, nice and safe, handbrake on,

0:12:21 > 0:12:25switch the engine off, leave it in neutral, fabulous.

0:12:25 > 0:12:27DOORBELL RINGS

0:12:28 > 0:12:31Wait!

0:12:31 > 0:12:34It's Mr Crash. He crashes so you don't have to.

0:12:34 > 0:12:36What's he done now?

0:12:38 > 0:12:40Proceed!

0:12:40 > 0:12:42Ah, Mr Crash.

0:12:42 > 0:12:46Really, Mr C. What was it this time?

0:12:50 > 0:12:53There's Mr C enjoying an ice cream.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58Oops, there goes the ice cream!

0:12:58 > 0:13:00Mr C, there's a squirrel.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02Pay attention, there's a...

0:13:02 > 0:13:04Too late!

0:13:06 > 0:13:10That driving was nuts. You get it? Nuts, squirrel?

0:13:10 > 0:13:15There's stupid and then there's you, Mr C.

0:13:15 > 0:13:16What would James May say?

0:13:16 > 0:13:20I bet James May would have some great advice.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22Tell him, James.

0:13:22 > 0:13:25Never eat or drink anything when you are driving,

0:13:25 > 0:13:27even a yummy ice cream.

0:13:27 > 0:13:29And if..?

0:13:29 > 0:13:33And if you are hungry, stop somewhere safe before tucking in.

0:13:33 > 0:13:34Thank you, James.

0:13:34 > 0:13:38No, thank YOU, Sandra.

0:13:38 > 0:13:40Remember that in future, Mr C.

0:13:40 > 0:13:44Now get out, get out, get out!

0:14:00 > 0:14:03It's time for Round Two now in our Barrels Of Fun challenge.

0:14:03 > 0:14:08Now remember our teams need to reach a speed of 30mph for the rookies

0:14:08 > 0:14:10and 50mph for the adults

0:14:10 > 0:14:13before trying to make a clean emergency stop.

0:14:13 > 0:14:16The closer they get, the higher the score,

0:14:16 > 0:14:18but to raise the pressure we've moved the barrels forward

0:14:18 > 0:14:22and stacked hundreds of ping-pong balls on top.

0:14:22 > 0:14:24First to go in Round Two is the Green Team,

0:14:24 > 0:14:28currently in second place with 20 points.

0:14:28 > 0:14:30Nina showed her serious side on the first run

0:14:30 > 0:14:32but can she do even better this time?

0:14:32 > 0:14:35- We are not going to get gunged. - We are SO going to get gunged.

0:14:35 > 0:14:38That's what I like, Tia. Some positive thinking.

0:14:38 > 0:14:40Nina needs to adjust her stopping distance

0:14:40 > 0:14:42for the barrels' new position.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46Was that a bit of braking there?

0:14:46 > 0:14:49She's in the zone but was that a clean emergency stop?

0:14:49 > 0:14:52- Hold up a minute!- No!

0:14:52 > 0:14:55Stewards enquiry, please. Can we have the stewards with this one?

0:14:55 > 0:14:57- STEWARD:- Kangaroo hops.

0:14:57 > 0:15:01Oh, looks like a brake there and another.

0:15:01 > 0:15:03The weirdest thing happened cos I went down the emergency brake

0:15:03 > 0:15:06and then the car shuddered and then Vicky told me

0:15:06 > 0:15:09it's cos I'd taken my foot off the clutch too early.

0:15:09 > 0:15:12The return of scatty Nina and that minus ten points

0:15:12 > 0:15:14has heaped the pressure onto Tia.

0:15:14 > 0:15:18Tia was a bit timid on her first run so she needs to come up with

0:15:18 > 0:15:22the goods to save Nina's blushes after that disqualification.

0:15:24 > 0:15:26Tiny little bit more acceleration.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29She's going for it

0:15:29 > 0:15:31and there it is!

0:15:31 > 0:15:32Excellent!

0:15:32 > 0:15:34CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:15:34 > 0:15:36Tia, that's amazing!

0:15:36 > 0:15:38'I was quite scared

0:15:38 > 0:15:41'but the first time I knew it was a bit closer so I should stop

0:15:41 > 0:15:45'a bit earlier and that's what Mum told me so that helped a lot.'

0:15:45 > 0:15:47APPLAUSE

0:15:47 > 0:15:50Congratulations, Tia.

0:15:50 > 0:15:54Green Team, you scored 50 points!

0:15:54 > 0:15:57And that 50 points has left the Greens jumping for joy.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00That was amazing, that was amazing, that was amazing!

0:16:00 > 0:16:02Next up is Team Orange.

0:16:02 > 0:16:05Todd and Tom are sitting on minus ten points at the moment

0:16:05 > 0:16:07so they really need to get off the mark.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10- Is Todd going to listen to Tom again?- Stop!

0:16:10 > 0:16:13There he goes. There they go.

0:16:13 > 0:16:16There's another disaster for Todd.

0:16:16 > 0:16:20When the ping pong balls came smashing down it felt so cool.

0:16:20 > 0:16:23Like you could just hear the ping pong balls falling.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25It felt so awesome like James Bond.

0:16:25 > 0:16:27And it also means the end the road

0:16:27 > 0:16:30for one of our special secret agent cameras.

0:16:31 > 0:16:34Todd scored zero so Tom needs to score massive here to keep them

0:16:34 > 0:16:39in the hunt, but unlike Round One, can he control his speed?

0:16:39 > 0:16:42He's got a determined streak so I think he'll do it.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45This is lovely, just think about your barrels now.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47It's all looks good for TomTom

0:16:47 > 0:16:50but can he find a route to maximum points? Get it?

0:16:50 > 0:16:52Oh, rubbish!

0:16:52 > 0:16:56Oh, dear! Our boy racer was a long way short of the scoring area.

0:16:56 > 0:16:59That's another minus ten for the boys.

0:16:59 > 0:17:01Tom's not happy about that

0:17:01 > 0:17:03and, watching the replay, I wouldn't be either.

0:17:03 > 0:17:05Did he not learn anything earlier?

0:17:05 > 0:17:09You're going to get gunged! You're going to get gunged!

0:17:09 > 0:17:11You're going to get gunged!

0:17:11 > 0:17:13With a total of minus 20,

0:17:13 > 0:17:17that leaves Tom and Todd with an uphill climb for the last round.

0:17:19 > 0:17:22Finally for Round Two, it's the Blues, who remarkably,

0:17:22 > 0:17:26are still in the lead thanks to their great showing in Round One.

0:17:26 > 0:17:29First to go is Brian. Can he give the Blues an even bigger lead?

0:17:36 > 0:17:38Stalled it. Good start(!)

0:17:38 > 0:17:41- Kiss the car for good luck. - Well remembered, Lucy.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44Ooh-ooh! 50, he's pointing.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46- Another 50.- Stop right now.

0:17:46 > 0:17:48He's not stopping just yet, Lucy.

0:17:48 > 0:17:51No! Ooh!

0:17:51 > 0:17:55But look at that, another classy finish from Mr Conley.

0:17:55 > 0:17:58He could have come a cropper after ignoring Lucy's advice

0:17:58 > 0:18:02but his new-found confidence cruised him into the 50 zone.

0:18:02 > 0:18:05I pulled it out the bag again and I don't know how.

0:18:05 > 0:18:06It's you. You're lucky.

0:18:06 > 0:18:08Well done. You've got 50 points.

0:18:08 > 0:18:11Lucy, 50 points.

0:18:11 > 0:18:13Let's do the Conley dance.

0:18:13 > 0:18:15Thankfully his driving is better than his dancing.

0:18:15 > 0:18:18- We've got to do a belly bump!- Yeah.

0:18:18 > 0:18:21- Sorry.- You have a big belly for a bump.

0:18:21 > 0:18:23That's nice, isn't it?

0:18:23 > 0:18:25Let's see how Lucy gets on.

0:18:25 > 0:18:29Despite her nerves, she got a solid 20 points last time.

0:18:32 > 0:18:35Go for it. Remember, hit those barrels. Just miss them.

0:18:38 > 0:18:41Oh, what has she done?

0:18:41 > 0:18:44That's ten points off her score. A real disappointment.

0:18:44 > 0:18:47I know Dad said miss the barrels but come on.

0:18:47 > 0:18:51I think I was going a bit more slow cos it was a lot more worrying.

0:18:51 > 0:18:55- Because they were closer.- Plus the extra with the ping pong balls.

0:18:55 > 0:19:01I'm just like, if I hit that, oh, I don't want to.

0:19:01 > 0:19:03What went wrong, Luce?

0:19:03 > 0:19:08I stopped too soon because ping pong balls are freaking me out.

0:19:08 > 0:19:12Yes, Lucy, ping pong phobia, a well-known condition.

0:19:12 > 0:19:15Let's see how that leaves our scores at the end of Round Two.

0:19:15 > 0:19:19In the slow lane are Todd and Tom with minus 20 points.

0:19:19 > 0:19:23Hogging the middle lane with 60 points are Nina and Tia

0:19:23 > 0:19:25but living in the fast lane, for now anyway,

0:19:25 > 0:19:28are Brian and Lucy with 110 points.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32This little book tells you everything you need to know

0:19:32 > 0:19:36about thinking safely and driving safely on the roads.

0:19:36 > 0:19:38Now our teams have been furiously swatting up

0:19:38 > 0:19:41so let's find out how much they really know.

0:19:41 > 0:19:43So let's play the Pieway Code.

0:19:47 > 0:19:51This is the Pieway Code, a quiz about the Highway Code.

0:19:51 > 0:19:54But get an answer wrong and, you guessed it, you get pied.

0:19:56 > 0:19:57Can I take it off?

0:19:57 > 0:20:01Ready rookies? You can play along at home too.

0:20:01 > 0:20:03What does this mean?

0:20:09 > 0:20:10Tia's going for uneven road.

0:20:10 > 0:20:12Tom's going for humpback bridge.

0:20:12 > 0:20:14Lucy's also going for humpback bridge.

0:20:16 > 0:20:19OK, time's up. Let's see the correct answer.

0:20:21 > 0:20:24Yes, it's an uneven road. Tia got it right.

0:20:24 > 0:20:27No pie for you! But, Lucy and Tom, you know what that means.

0:20:32 > 0:20:37You two need to get swotting up for the next Pieway Code.

0:20:42 > 0:20:47It's time for the third and final round of our Superskills Challenge.

0:20:47 > 0:20:48This time we've made it even trickier.

0:20:48 > 0:20:51We've got our dummies to add some water to the track.

0:20:51 > 0:20:53So just like when it rains,

0:20:53 > 0:20:56it takes the car even longer to stop when they brake.

0:20:59 > 0:21:02And there's something else.

0:21:03 > 0:21:05You've heard of a monkey on your back,

0:21:05 > 0:21:08well how about the distraction of a gorilla in your back seat?

0:21:08 > 0:21:11First to deal with the primate passenger is Nina and Tia

0:21:11 > 0:21:14in the Green Team and they're going bananas.

0:21:14 > 0:21:16Do not let him in!

0:21:16 > 0:21:18THEY SCREAM

0:21:23 > 0:21:27So up next we have Nina with her final run.

0:21:27 > 0:21:30The Greens are trailing the Blues, so easily-distracted Nina

0:21:30 > 0:21:34needs to ignore the ape and get back in the scoring zone.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37That's her at the magic 50.

0:21:37 > 0:21:40Ah, too early on the brakes again.

0:21:40 > 0:21:44She's really lost her focus thanks to her furry friend.

0:21:45 > 0:21:50Now it's Tia for the Green Team's final run.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52TIA SCREAMS

0:21:52 > 0:21:55Leave her alone!

0:21:56 > 0:21:59Tia did really well on her last run but needs at least 50 points

0:21:59 > 0:22:03to have even a chance of drawing with the Blues.

0:22:03 > 0:22:06I do not appreciate gorillas in my car!

0:22:06 > 0:22:10Remember, Tia needs a speed of 30mph.

0:22:10 > 0:22:12Nina's keeping the gorilla under control

0:22:12 > 0:22:15so she can keep Tia on track.

0:22:15 > 0:22:17Quiet.

0:22:19 > 0:22:22It looks like that early stop has blown it for the Greens.

0:22:22 > 0:22:25Those minus points means there's no chance that they can win,

0:22:25 > 0:22:28but can they avoid the Wash of Shame?

0:22:28 > 0:22:30Yeah, I think the gorilla distracted us so much,

0:22:30 > 0:22:32we ended up with minus 20 points.

0:22:32 > 0:22:35We'll do our sad face.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38You missed the scoring zone so that's minus ten points,

0:22:38 > 0:22:40but it was always going to be difficult.

0:22:40 > 0:22:42Did you find it more difficult with the water

0:22:42 > 0:22:45- and pushing the drums a bit further forward?- Yes, definitely.

0:22:45 > 0:22:47Well done, guys. You done really well.

0:22:47 > 0:22:49So next up we have Tom and Todd.

0:22:49 > 0:22:52Our Orange Team have failed to get any points so far

0:22:52 > 0:22:56and are currently last at minus 20.

0:22:56 > 0:23:00Speedy Todd needs at least 50 points here to have any chance of winning.

0:23:00 > 0:23:02Yahoo!

0:23:02 > 0:23:04Here we go!

0:23:04 > 0:23:08See you on the other side. Light up like a pinball machine.

0:23:08 > 0:23:10Pay out in silver dollars!

0:23:10 > 0:23:13They're having a right old knees-up with that gorilla.

0:23:13 > 0:23:16They'll be singing Roll Out The Barrel next.

0:23:16 > 0:23:19Not yet, not yet, not yet, not yet.

0:23:23 > 0:23:26Unfortunately, you didn't apply the emergency brakes.

0:23:26 > 0:23:29- You slowed into it. - Fair play to the adjudicators.

0:23:29 > 0:23:33I did try and make it a real slow one, but they ain't stupid.

0:23:33 > 0:23:35They ain't stupid and they told me so.

0:23:35 > 0:23:37I think Joe said, "You can't do that."

0:23:37 > 0:23:41So as soon as he said that, I thought I'm done for!

0:23:41 > 0:23:43Unfortunately, you get minus ten.

0:23:43 > 0:23:46- Puts you in a nice position. Well done.- Yay!

0:23:46 > 0:23:48Todd's messed up every round now so the heat is really on Tom.

0:23:48 > 0:23:50There's no chance that they can win

0:23:50 > 0:23:53but 100 points means that they may avoid a gunging.

0:23:53 > 0:23:55Can he curb his need for speed?

0:23:55 > 0:23:59At least the gorilla seems to have calmed down a little bit.

0:23:59 > 0:24:02Is he going to blast the barrels again?

0:24:02 > 0:24:05Er, no. Both of our boy racers have become slow stoppers

0:24:05 > 0:24:08and that could mean a gunging.

0:24:08 > 0:24:11So when it was the last one, I thought, "Nah, we ain't getting it."

0:24:11 > 0:24:15- So I didn't get it.- I know. - Too short.

0:24:15 > 0:24:19Who are you going to blame? Was it your fault? Was it your dad's fault?

0:24:19 > 0:24:23- Dad's fault.- What happened there, Todd?- Officially, it's Dad's fault.

0:24:23 > 0:24:26I don't mind taking the blame. He did great.

0:24:26 > 0:24:29Over all, you done a good job. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

0:24:29 > 0:24:31Well done, guys. Well done.

0:24:31 > 0:24:33Finally it's the Blues.

0:24:33 > 0:24:35Lucy and Brian are currently in the lead,

0:24:35 > 0:24:38but can they stay ahead of the rest of the pack?

0:24:38 > 0:24:40- Hello.- Hello there. Is that Vicky?

0:24:41 > 0:24:44I think you need a shave, Vicky.

0:24:44 > 0:24:46It's Brian first.

0:24:46 > 0:24:49He's been brilliant in the earlier rounds but can he keep it up?

0:24:49 > 0:24:51Maybe something to eat might help.

0:24:51 > 0:24:53No, I'm OK, thank you.

0:24:53 > 0:24:56He's fine but thanks for the offer.

0:24:56 > 0:24:59Is all this monkeying around going to affect his confidence?

0:24:59 > 0:25:01Keep your eyes on the road, Bri!

0:25:01 > 0:25:04THEY ALL SHOUT

0:25:04 > 0:25:08Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...

0:25:08 > 0:25:09No!

0:25:12 > 0:25:17That's the reason why I went splat right the way through the barrels.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20Purely down to having a gorilla in the back of the car.

0:25:23 > 0:25:27Unfortunately, you might not notice, but you hit a few of the barrels

0:25:27 > 0:25:29so there will be no points for that one.

0:25:29 > 0:25:32Seriously, have you seen how far they've gone?

0:25:32 > 0:25:35But it's still a marked improvement on yesterday.

0:25:35 > 0:25:38Next up for the Blue Team and the last run, it's Lucy.

0:25:40 > 0:25:43It's a puppet!

0:25:43 > 0:25:46So it's the final run of the day and it's Lucy.

0:25:46 > 0:25:50She pulled up short on the last run, but can she get over her nerves

0:25:50 > 0:25:53and get in the scoring zone to extend the Blues' lead?

0:25:53 > 0:25:57Get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready.

0:25:57 > 0:25:59Brake! Brake!

0:25:59 > 0:26:01Oh, so close, Lucy!

0:26:01 > 0:26:05Just a few more centimetres and you'd have made it to the 50 zone.

0:26:06 > 0:26:09Hopefully this isn't a life lesson with a monkey in the back.

0:26:09 > 0:26:11Yeah, with a horrible banana.

0:26:11 > 0:26:13Are you pleased with your performances today?

0:26:13 > 0:26:15Do you think you done well?

0:26:15 > 0:26:17We're very pleased because, working it all out,

0:26:17 > 0:26:20I think we're not in for a dunking. so we are very happy.

0:26:20 > 0:26:22Well, talking about working it all out,

0:26:22 > 0:26:25I think it's time that we had a look at the scores.

0:26:27 > 0:26:29Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

0:26:29 > 0:26:32Shall we help her? Get back here!

0:26:37 > 0:26:40Enough of all that monkeying around,

0:26:40 > 0:26:43let's go to Sandra to find out those final podium positions.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46So another good day at Celebrity Driving Academy.

0:26:46 > 0:26:49You've all done a sterling job but I'm not the one in charge.

0:26:49 > 0:26:51Sandra, you're the boss so take it away.

0:26:51 > 0:26:56Well, we have the results and with 100 points...

0:26:56 > 0:26:57Oh, that's a good score.

0:26:57 > 0:27:00It's a great score for Brian and Lucy!

0:27:00 > 0:27:03CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:27:03 > 0:27:05So, this is it.

0:27:07 > 0:27:08Thank you, ladies and gentleman.

0:27:10 > 0:27:12With 40 points,

0:27:12 > 0:27:14it's Nina and Tia!

0:27:14 > 0:27:17CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:27:19 > 0:27:23Which leaves, with a grand total of...

0:27:23 > 0:27:25minus 40,

0:27:25 > 0:27:28Todd and Tom!

0:27:28 > 0:27:29Thank you very much. Thank you.

0:27:29 > 0:27:32You've got to get ready for the Wash of Shame.

0:27:32 > 0:27:34- Go on, boys.- Thank you very much.

0:27:34 > 0:27:37While they get ready, let's have a look at the leaderboard.

0:27:37 > 0:27:39The Greens are in the lead with five points

0:27:39 > 0:27:42and the Blues and Oranges are only a point behind with four.

0:27:42 > 0:27:45Next time on Celebrity Driving Academy,

0:27:45 > 0:27:48our rookies get trained up for a Superskill Trifle Challenge.

0:27:48 > 0:27:52It's all about control and it's going to be sweet.

0:27:52 > 0:27:55It will be even sweeter for whoever gets custard pied

0:27:55 > 0:27:57and Mr C's being a doughnut again.

0:27:59 > 0:28:01Todd and Tom are just about to take the Wash of Shame

0:28:01 > 0:28:04but who will be getting their just deserts next time?

0:28:04 > 0:28:06Tune in and find out.

0:28:06 > 0:28:08Assume the positions, guys.

0:28:08 > 0:28:10Are you ready?

0:28:14 > 0:28:16We love it!
