0:04:40 > 0:04:43CHEERING AND WHOOPING
0:04:43 > 0:04:47Also, do you reckon the public will have a tough decision today?
0:04:47 > 0:04:49It's very tough, because as Carrie said, it just gets better
0:04:49 > 0:04:53and better. I'm glad that we only have this much responsibility!
0:04:53 > 0:04:56- THEY LAUGH - OK, if you'd like to take your seats.
0:04:56 > 0:04:59Our judges, everybody!
0:04:59 > 0:05:01CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:05:01 > 0:05:04Now, remember, it's your votes that count.
0:05:04 > 0:05:06However, we are asking our judges to score in the event that
0:05:06 > 0:05:09the phone votes are tied or there is a technical problem.
0:05:09 > 0:05:11So, let's get this show on the road.
0:05:11 > 0:05:13Performing first and currently fourth on the leaderboard,
0:05:13 > 0:05:15is one of our two acts from Scotland.
0:05:15 > 0:05:18They love musical theatre and they admire Little Mix.
0:05:18 > 0:05:20Let's join Naomi with Bittersweet.
0:05:20 > 0:05:23Bittersweet, you are looking absolutely gorgeous today.
0:05:23 > 0:05:27Tell me, how does it feel to make it to the semifinals?
0:05:27 > 0:05:31Well, it's really good, because we didn't exactly expect it,
0:05:31 > 0:05:33considering we didn't win our heat. But it's exciting.
0:05:33 > 0:05:35What a lovely surprise, eh?
0:05:35 > 0:05:38Gemma, do you reckon you guys have got a secret weapon?
0:05:38 > 0:05:41Well, actually, we have a secret prop, for the final.
0:05:41 > 0:05:44But it's not been done yet in this show.
0:05:44 > 0:05:49We can't tell you what it is, so to see it, you have to vote us in.
0:05:49 > 0:05:51So, you need the vote to see this prop.
0:05:51 > 0:05:53I like your tactical thinking there, very good.
0:05:53 > 0:05:55So before you perform, I wish you the best of luck.
0:05:55 > 0:05:58Let's take a look at your journey to the semi-final.
0:06:00 > 0:06:03'Bittersweet went all out to impress at the judges' auditions,
0:06:03 > 0:06:04'and didn't disappoint.'
0:06:04 > 0:06:08# We are living in a material world
0:06:08 > 0:06:11# And I am a material girl... #
0:06:11 > 0:06:13I loved the vocals, the "dit-dit-dit"!
0:06:13 > 0:06:16I'm going to be singing that for days now.
0:06:16 > 0:06:19It's like watching a little mini performance from a musical.
0:06:19 > 0:06:23'And in Round One, they blew the judges away.'
0:06:23 > 0:06:26# Mama told me not to waste my life
0:06:26 > 0:06:31# She said spread your wings, my little bird, and fly... #
0:06:31 > 0:06:34Confidence, attitude and swagger.
0:06:34 > 0:06:37I loved the choreography and the conviction.
0:06:37 > 0:06:40I think you would definitely give Little Mix a run for their money.
0:06:40 > 0:06:43'But for their survival song, there were mixed reactions.'
0:06:43 > 0:06:46# You're gonna make me, make me love you
0:06:46 > 0:06:48# Nothing at all, nothing that I'd do
0:06:48 > 0:06:50# Promise I made, promise I made... #
0:06:50 > 0:06:55It was a little bit shouty, so the vocal sound wasn't so good.
0:06:55 > 0:06:56What this song required that
0:06:56 > 0:06:59you seemed unable to really give it fully is warmth.
0:06:59 > 0:07:02We'll take the judges' criticism in and just, like,
0:07:02 > 0:07:05if we get through, then we'll do what they say.
0:07:05 > 0:07:07'And despite not winning their heat,
0:07:07 > 0:07:10'they still made it through to today's semi-final.'
0:07:10 > 0:07:14# Starting to fade. #
0:07:17 > 0:07:19'So, let's hope they do Scotland proud.
0:07:19 > 0:07:23'Singing and dancing for you and for comic relief, it's Bittersweet!'
0:07:26 > 0:07:29# Hey, hey, hey
0:07:29 > 0:07:32# Hey, hey, hey
0:07:32 > 0:07:33# You know I can do it better than you
0:07:33 > 0:07:35# Uh-huh!
0:07:35 > 0:07:37# I can do it even better in broken heels
0:07:37 > 0:07:40# Whoo! Hey, hey, hey
0:07:40 > 0:07:43# Hey, hey, hey
0:07:43 > 0:07:45# All the ladies tell the fellas we can do what they can do
0:07:45 > 0:07:49# We can do it even better in broken heels
0:07:49 > 0:07:51# I roll my sleeves up, wrap my hair up
0:07:51 > 0:07:54# There's no sign on the road so I never stop
0:07:54 > 0:07:57- # Can you catch me? - Yeah, yeah, yeah
0:07:57 > 0:08:00# You'll never catch me, ay, ay, ay
0:08:00 > 0:08:02# I'm fresh out the box, fast like a fox
0:08:02 > 0:08:05# Boss in my shoes, tick tock, 12 o'clock
0:08:05 > 0:08:08# You better watch me, yeah, yeah, yeah
0:08:08 > 0:08:11# Sit back and watch me, ay, ay, ay
0:08:11 > 0:08:13# You go hard, yes, you do
0:08:13 > 0:08:16# But when I go it's a magic show
0:08:16 > 0:08:19# Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
0:08:19 > 0:08:22# I get it when I want it and I get it right
0:08:22 > 0:08:25# Hey, hey, hey
0:08:25 > 0:08:27# Hey, hey, hey
0:08:27 > 0:08:30# All the ladies tell the fellas we can do what they can do
0:08:30 > 0:08:33# We can do it even better with broken heels
0:08:33 > 0:08:36# Hey, hey, hey
0:08:36 > 0:08:39# Hey, hey, hey
0:08:39 > 0:08:41# All the ladies tell the fellas we can do what they can do
0:08:41 > 0:08:44# We can do it even better in broken heels
0:08:44 > 0:08:47# Anything you can do I can do better
0:08:47 > 0:08:50# Boy, I can do it in broken heels
0:08:50 > 0:08:53# Anything you can do we can do better
0:08:53 > 0:09:00Boy, I can do it in broken, broken hee-ee-ee-eels-ah! #
0:09:00 > 0:09:03CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:09:04 > 0:09:07# Hee-ee-ee-eels-ah! #
0:09:07 > 0:09:09Well done, guys, great way to start the show.
0:09:09 > 0:09:11Let's see what our judges thought.
0:09:11 > 0:09:13Carrie, it's always difficult to open the show.
0:09:13 > 0:09:15How do you think Bittersweet did there?
0:09:15 > 0:09:19I think every Glee Club today is going to feel super nervous.
0:09:19 > 0:09:21But that was a great choice of song for you.
0:09:21 > 0:09:24What I've always loved about you guys is your energy, and that just
0:09:24 > 0:09:28burst out again, you burst out the screen when I watch it back at home.
0:09:28 > 0:09:31Absolutely brilliant. I don't know that the soloists
0:09:31 > 0:09:34were as strong today, but the ensemble work was beautiful.
0:09:34 > 0:09:35Brilliant, OK.
0:09:37 > 0:09:40David, do you reckon Bittersweet could be the next big girl band?
0:09:40 > 0:09:42I tell you what they have done.
0:09:42 > 0:09:44They have really raised the bar,
0:09:44 > 0:09:47and everybody who wants to get through is going to have to jump it.
0:09:47 > 0:09:51Today is our first voting day and you've given people a reason to vote.
0:09:51 > 0:09:55What I asked you for on the last performance was that you give 100% energy, which you did,
0:09:55 > 0:10:00and 80% volume, so that you could have tone and control, and you did that as well, so well done.
0:10:00 > 0:10:04CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:10:04 > 0:10:06John, what is it you like about Bittersweet?
0:10:06 > 0:10:07You know, from day one,
0:10:07 > 0:10:10you girls have had what I call the feelgood factor.
0:10:10 > 0:10:13I'm always smiling, every time you finish performing.
0:10:13 > 0:10:16What I like about you is that you're not trying to be older than
0:10:16 > 0:10:20you are, you don't come across that way, and yet, you have the artistic
0:10:20 > 0:10:24intelligence to get into character, no matter what song you are singing.
0:10:24 > 0:10:26- Fantastic, good stuff.- Nice one.
0:10:26 > 0:10:30And finally, Sisco, choreography expert, was that a good performance?
0:10:30 > 0:10:32I think the choreography was spot-on.
0:10:32 > 0:10:36You didn't do too much, it suited the song, it suited you guys,
0:10:36 > 0:10:38you looked like you had so much fun.
0:10:38 > 0:10:40The only critique I had, I wish the soloists had more
0:10:40 > 0:10:44projection in the voice, because as soon as the ensemble stopped
0:10:44 > 0:10:46singing, it was just like, there was lack of volume.
0:10:46 > 0:10:49But other than that, you looked amazing and danced amazing.
0:10:49 > 0:10:51Thank you very much.
0:10:51 > 0:10:55So, you've heard what our judges thought, but it's up to you at home.
0:10:55 > 0:10:58If Bittersweet are your favourite all-round entertainment performance,
0:10:58 > 0:11:01and you want to see them in the final, you need to vote for them.
0:11:01 > 0:11:04But only when the phone line is open and all five acts have performed.
0:11:04 > 0:11:06Do not call now as your vote will not be counted
0:11:06 > 0:11:08and you may still be charged.
0:11:08 > 0:11:09Give it up for Bittersweet!
0:11:09 > 0:11:10CHEERING
0:11:15 > 0:11:18The next act to perform are currently third on the leaderboard.
0:11:18 > 0:11:20Carrie thought their vocals were beautiful.
0:11:20 > 0:11:23Let's go over to Naomi and meet Resonate.
0:11:23 > 0:11:26Here they are, it's Resonate. It's good to see you guys again.
0:11:26 > 0:11:27- Happy to be back?- Definitely.
0:11:27 > 0:11:30Of course you are, you've made it through to the semifinals.
0:11:30 > 0:11:32So, Jack, tell me, what are your strengths?
0:11:32 > 0:11:35How are you planning to use them to get yourself through to the final?
0:11:35 > 0:11:37Our strengths are certainly our vocals.
0:11:37 > 0:11:40We're going to take the comments on board from the last round
0:11:40 > 0:11:42and strip our choreography right back so that we can concentrate
0:11:42 > 0:11:45on our harmonies and our connection with the lyrics.
0:11:45 > 0:11:46Cannot wait to hear it.
0:11:46 > 0:11:49Harriet, is everybody from the Isle of Wight supporting you today?
0:11:49 > 0:11:51Well, we certainly hope so and we just hope
0:11:51 > 0:11:53that they pick up the phone and vote for us
0:11:53 > 0:11:56because we've got something special ready for the final.
0:11:56 > 0:11:58Fingers crossed. All right, then, Resonate,
0:11:58 > 0:12:02let's take a look at your story on your journey to the semifinals.
0:12:04 > 0:12:07Resonate have shown the skills to be a resounding success
0:12:07 > 0:12:09on their journey to Glasgow.
0:12:09 > 0:12:14# Cry me a river that leads to your ocean... #
0:12:14 > 0:12:17The vocals were really soothing and smooth.
0:12:17 > 0:12:21I absolutely loved that song and the good news is, I still love it.
0:12:21 > 0:12:25Things didn't go to plan in the first round of the studio heats.
0:12:26 > 0:12:31# Your words don't mean a thing I'm not listening... #
0:12:31 > 0:12:34I think the song slightly got the better of you.
0:12:34 > 0:12:37This isn't your type of song. I felt like the song slightly exposed you.
0:12:39 > 0:12:42But for their survival song, Resonate found their voice...
0:12:43 > 0:12:46# Louder, louder
0:12:46 > 0:12:52# And we'll run for our lives... #
0:12:52 > 0:12:55That was a world-class performance.
0:12:55 > 0:12:58..and turned their fortunes around.
0:12:58 > 0:13:00- It's Resonate. - APPLAUSE
0:13:02 > 0:13:05Well done, thank you so much.
0:13:05 > 0:13:08- I thought they were joking when they said...- Yeah.
0:13:08 > 0:13:09We couldn't really believe it.
0:13:09 > 0:13:14There was like a pause afterwards and we were like...is this a joke?
0:13:14 > 0:13:17Can they match that performance in the semifinal?
0:13:17 > 0:13:19ALL: Resonate!
0:13:21 > 0:13:23Hoping it'll be all right on the night,
0:13:23 > 0:13:27singing and dancing for you and for Comic Relief, it's Resonate.

0:13:34 > 0:13:40# It makes you feel good, don't it?
0:13:41 > 0:13:45# Behind your Broadway show
0:13:45 > 0:13:47# I heard a voice say
0:13:47 > 0:13:50# Please don't hurt me
0:13:50 > 0:13:53# Please don't hurt me
0:13:53 > 0:13:55# You've carried on so long
0:13:55 > 0:13:59# You couldn't stop if you tried it
0:13:59 > 0:14:00# Tried it
0:14:00 > 0:14:03# But I'm gonna try
0:14:03 > 0:14:08# Would you let me see beneath your beautiful?

0:15:16 > 0:15:20David, you have worked with some of the best vocalists in the world.
0:15:20 > 0:15:22How were the vocals in that performance?
0:15:22 > 0:15:28Well, you were asked to turn every song into a song that suited you,
0:15:28 > 0:15:32to make it stylistically work to your strengths and that's what you did.
0:15:32 > 0:15:37I've got to say the a cappella bit in the middle was a mad thing
0:15:37 > 0:15:40to do at this stage because it shows every flaw,
0:15:40 > 0:15:44every mistake and every discrepancy, but there weren't any.
0:15:44 > 0:15:47- That was fantastic. - Thank you very much.
0:15:47 > 0:15:49APPLAUSE
0:15:49 > 0:15:52- It's not a bad start, that. - Are you all right, Carrie?
0:15:52 > 0:15:54Carrie is crying here, she must've liked it.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23and it's incredible.
0:16:23 > 0:16:27Personally, I preferred your Leona Lewis rendition but that's not to say
0:16:27 > 0:16:30that this was not good because vocally that was amazing.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41Every judge on every talent show thinks, "Did I just say something
0:16:41 > 0:16:43"that I shouldn't have said?" Everyone thinks it.
0:16:43 > 0:16:46On the last show, I said you were world-class and I thought,
0:16:46 > 0:16:49"That's a really big statement, should I have said that?"

0:20:50 > 0:20:53- John, what do you think of MAD? - You're back!
0:20:53 > 0:20:56And with a vengeance and it looks like, no doubt,
0:20:56 > 0:20:58it's directed at the judges. Ouch!
0:20:58 > 0:21:02Well, the reality is thank you very much for making me look so good

0:21:08 > 0:21:12- Sisco, did that have enough soul for you?- It did, but you know what?
0:21:12 > 0:21:16- What's your name, sorry? Yes?- Ayesha.- Ayesha.
0:21:16 > 0:21:19Honestly, this song requires so much vocal thickness
0:21:19 > 0:21:23and just raw soul, you should have just stuck with one soloist,
0:21:23 > 0:21:25personally, because it was such a shaky start,
0:21:25 > 0:21:28I think that nerves got the better out of the first two vocalists,
0:21:28 > 0:21:32the soloists, but the charisma, the choreography, was all perfect.
0:21:32 > 0:21:35I just wish you had stuck with the one soloist that can actually
0:21:35 > 0:21:38give that song that punch it needed.
0:21:38 > 0:21:40Carrie, you said MAD were brilliant, brilliant, brilliant
0:21:40 > 0:21:43in the auditions. Were they brilliant this time?
0:21:43 > 0:21:46I think you have the potential to be brilliant, brilliant, brilliant,
0:21:46 > 0:21:48but we're now playing in the big league.
0:21:48 > 0:21:49I think the second half of it was great.
0:21:49 > 0:21:52It was so long before we got all of you singing.
0:21:52 > 0:21:55It was about halfway through before we heard all the voices.
0:21:55 > 0:21:58I would've liked the voices a little earlier and I really stick by what
0:21:58 > 0:22:03we said last time, Ayesha - she's like a mammoth singer, so use her.
0:22:03 > 0:22:05You guys are great ensemble but fantastic
0:22:05 > 0:22:09but if you do get through, you've got to pick your best singers.
0:22:09 > 0:22:11OK, thank you very much, Carrie. Don't worry, don't worry,
0:22:11 > 0:22:14guys, because the power is no longer in our judges' hands.
0:22:14 > 0:22:16It's up to you guys at home
0:22:16 > 0:22:19- to decide who goes through to the final.- Yes, if MAD
0:22:19 > 0:22:21is your all-round favourite entertainment performance
0:22:21 > 0:22:24and you want to see them in the final, you need to vote for them
0:22:24 > 0:22:25but only when the phone lines open
0:22:25 > 0:22:27and all five acts have performed.

0:23:09 > 0:23:12Well, we've got the rest of LS8 but only eight of us could do this,
0:23:12 > 0:23:15so we've got a lot of support from them and the rest of REBEL,

0:23:27 > 0:23:30and I think you guys might enjoy this.

0:26:29 > 0:26:31Sisco, what impressed you about that performance?
0:26:31 > 0:26:35I love how fearless you are, like, you're not afraid to be quirky,

0:26:43 > 0:26:45I love the concept, it really suited you guys.
0:26:45 > 0:26:46I think you got a little tired
0:26:46 > 0:26:50because the volume of the vocals slightly descended in the middle

0:31:10 > 0:31:14# Ju-ump for my love. #
0:31:14 > 0:31:16CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:31:19 > 0:31:22Jump! Jump!
0:31:22 > 0:31:25Oh, that was great, Raveheart. Let's see what our judges thought.
0:31:25 > 0:31:28Carrie, was that the standard you were expecting?
0:31:28 > 0:31:31You know, these guys always deliver in terms of uniformity.
0:31:31 > 0:31:34You all look, even, the same in what you're wearing,
0:31:34 > 0:31:37but uniformity of tone and sound is always there. You always deliver.
0:31:37 > 0:31:40I wanted a bit more punch in those choruses, somehow.
0:31:40 > 0:31:44I wanted it to be able to lift up a gear and it wasn't quite there,
0:31:44 > 0:31:46but still, all that beautiful uniformity there. Lovely.
0:31:46 > 0:31:47APPLAUSE
0:31:47 > 0:31:51David. Raveheart have gone one step further than they did last year.
0:31:51 > 0:31:53Can they go all the way to the final, do you think?
0:31:53 > 0:31:55Well, that's down to the viewers, isn't it?
0:31:55 > 0:31:58It's not in our hands any more, but what I will say is, once again,
0:31:58 > 0:32:00you're given people a reason to vote.
0:32:00 > 0:32:02I think you give people a reason to want to be in your gang
0:32:02 > 0:32:06because you do look like a gang and what you did out there was say,
0:32:06 > 0:32:09"Come on, if you think you're bad enough, get in ahead of us!"
0:32:09 > 0:32:11APPLAUSE
0:32:11 > 0:32:15John, you have been a fan of Raveheart from the very beginning.
0:32:15 > 0:32:16Have they done you proud?
0:32:16 > 0:32:18You girls always do me proud,
0:32:18 > 0:32:21and today, especially, you fly the flag high for Scotland
0:32:21 > 0:32:23and it was a great performance.
0:32:23 > 0:32:26Great energy, great, great, great.
0:32:26 > 0:32:27CHEERING
0:32:27 > 0:32:31And finally, Sisco, what do you think of Raveheart's performance?
0:32:31 > 0:32:34I think vocally you guys are impossible to critique.
0:32:34 > 0:32:37Like Carrie said, it's so uniform and so clear, I loved it.
0:32:37 > 0:32:40One thing I'd say, I thought the choreography
0:32:40 > 0:32:43was a little two-dimensional, it needed more formations.
0:32:43 > 0:32:45Maybe that would have taken up it up a gear
0:32:45 > 0:32:48because visually, you just looked a little still, but it's a vocal...
0:32:48 > 0:32:52- And the vocals were amazing. - Thank you.
0:32:52 > 0:32:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:32:54 > 0:32:55Well, remember, as David just said,
0:32:55 > 0:32:59deciding who goes through to the final is up to you guys at home.

0:33:02 > 0:33:05and you want to see them in the final - look at them go here -
0:33:05 > 0:33:07you need to vote for them, but only when the phone lines open
0:33:07 > 0:33:09and all five acts are performed.
0:33:09 > 0:33:11Do not call now as your vote will not be counted
0:33:11 > 0:33:12and you may still be charged.
0:33:12 > 0:33:15Well done, guys. Give it up for Raveheart!
0:33:15 > 0:33:18CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:33:20 > 0:33:22All right! This is the exciting bit
0:33:22 > 0:33:24because all five acts have now performed.
0:33:24 > 0:33:27And who better to open the phone lines than a voice that can only be
0:33:27 > 0:33:29described as liquid peanut butter,
0:33:29 > 0:33:31smooth with a hint of nuttiness.
0:33:31 > 0:33:33Mr D, can you do the honours?
0:33:33 > 0:33:36Well, Sammingtons, it is the sole reason I do this gig, of course.
0:33:36 > 0:33:38Here we go. Ahem.
0:33:38 > 0:33:41The phone lines are now open!

0:34:05 > 0:34:07and more importantly, those numbers to call.
0:34:07 > 0:34:10# Hey, hey, all the ladies tell the fellas

0:34:59 > 0:35:04# Oh how I love you, baby... #
0:35:04 > 0:35:09# I can feel the heat but it's soothing, heading down
0:35:09 > 0:35:13# I search for the beat in this dirty town
0:35:13 > 0:35:15# Down town the young ones are going
0:35:15 > 0:35:18# Down town the young ones are growing
0:35:18 > 0:35:21# We're the kids in America, whoa

0:35:43 > 0:35:45Good luck with that.
0:35:45 > 0:35:48While you decide who to vote for, let's chat to the judges
0:35:48 > 0:35:50and get their thoughts on today's performances.
