0:04:14 > 0:04:16from Hip and Hop's bouncers yesterday.

0:05:26 > 0:05:28Not magic, Hip. Water!

0:05:31 > 0:05:34When your pebbles bounced out of your backpack,

0:05:34 > 0:05:37they got covered in mud, the mud dried in the sun

0:06:47 > 0:06:52- And all of you, sitting down comfy and ready to listen?- 'Yes, Dan.'

0:06:52 > 0:06:56This story is called Funny You, Kangaroo.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59It was written by Theo De Marcousin

0:06:59 > 0:07:01and the pictures are by Jacqueline East.

0:07:01 > 0:07:05Everyone thinks that all kangaroos are happy,

0:07:05 > 0:07:10because they are so very bouncy. Hop, bounce, hop!

0:07:10 > 0:07:14And nearly all kangaroos are happy most of the time.

0:07:14 > 0:07:18But there was one small kangaroo sitting all alone who was not happy.

0:07:18 > 0:07:21Aw! Poor kangaroo!

0:07:21 > 0:07:25Little Roo was very unhappy. Very unhappy indeed.

0:07:25 > 0:07:29He was always losing his favourite toys,

0:07:29 > 0:07:32all because he hadn't got anywhere safe to keep them.

0:07:32 > 0:07:35So Little Roo couldn't hop and bounce around at all.

0:07:35 > 0:07:39"I want a pocket! You all have one," he said to his sisters.

0:07:39 > 0:07:41"So why not me?

0:07:41 > 0:07:45"I want a pocket to keep my toys in everywhere I go!"

0:07:45 > 0:07:49It is good to have something to keep your things in. Hip told me that.

0:07:49 > 0:07:52Ha-ha! It certainly is, Loopy.

0:07:52 > 0:07:55At first, his sisters didn't hear him

0:07:55 > 0:07:57and kept on happily bouncing around.

0:07:57 > 0:08:01But when Little Roo began to cry very, very loudly,

0:08:01 > 0:08:04they all rushed over to hug him and ask him what was wrong.

0:08:04 > 0:08:10"I want a pocket!" Little Roo cried. "You all have one, so why not me?

0:08:10 > 0:08:15"I want a pocket to keep my toys in wherever I go."

0:08:15 > 0:08:18"Oh, Little Roo," said his sisters.

0:08:18 > 0:08:20"You don't have a pocket, because you're a boy,

0:08:20 > 0:08:23"and we all have pockets, because we're girls."

0:08:23 > 0:08:27Little Roo's sisters all thought and thought,

0:08:27 > 0:08:30then bounced about collecting material.

0:08:30 > 0:08:32They bounced about collecting thread,

0:08:32 > 0:08:35they bounced about collecting buttons,

0:08:35 > 0:08:38they bounced about collecting zips,

0:08:38 > 0:08:42and secretly worked to make a very special present.

0:08:42 > 0:08:47And Little Roo was probably the happiest, bounciest kangaroo of all

0:08:47 > 0:08:51when his sisters gave him his very own beautiful backpack

0:08:51 > 0:08:55to keep all his toys in wherever he went.

0:08:55 > 0:08:56EVERYONE CHEERS

0:08:56 > 0:08:59The end. Did you enjoy the story?

0:08:59 > 0:09:01I loved all the bouncing!

0:09:01 > 0:09:07And Little Roo got his very own backpack, just like mine and Hip's.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10And now it's your turn. Which bit did you like best?

0:09:10 > 0:09:13Come on, it's time to show me the story.

0:09:13 > 0:09:16- 'Boing! Boing! - Boing! Boing! Boing!

0:09:16 > 0:09:19- 'Look at me - I'm a kangaroo! - I'm bouncing like the kangaroos!

0:09:19 > 0:09:25- 'Aw, this shade is lovely. - Yeah, it's very hot here. Phew!

0:09:25 > 0:09:29- 'Look at me bounce! - I'm bouncing just like Little Roo.

0:09:29 > 0:09:33'I'm looking in the grass.

0:09:33 > 0:09:37- 'And I'm looking too! - Me too! Boing, boing, boing!

0:09:37 > 0:09:40'Oh, I'll look over here.

0:09:40 > 0:09:44- 'I'm wagging my kangaroo tail. - ALL: Waggle, waggle, waggle!

0:09:44 > 0:09:48- 'Let's all bounce! - ALL: Bounce, bounce, bounce!

0:09:48 > 0:09:51'Bounce, bounce, bounce!'

0:09:51 > 0:09:54Well done, everyone. That was great!

0:09:54 > 0:09:58Having a place to keep your special things safe is good, isn't it?

0:09:58 > 0:10:01All the kangaroos in our story have perfect pockets.

0:10:01 > 0:10:05And Hop and I have got our perfect backpacks, just like Little Roo!

0:10:05 > 0:10:09If I was a kangaroo, I would need a really big backpack

0:10:09 > 0:10:14- to keep my most special thing in - my trampoline!- Boing!

0:10:14 > 0:10:16Kangaroo-oo-oo!

0:10:16 > 0:10:19Ha-ha! Not even Little Roo's sisters

0:10:19 > 0:10:21could make a backpack big enough for a trampoline.

0:10:21 > 0:10:25Come on, everyone, let's bounce onto the Story Train.

0:10:25 > 0:10:29EXCITED CHATTER 'All aboard the Story Train.'
