0:06:13 > 0:06:16- What about hide and seek?- Yeah!
0:06:19 > 0:06:23TWINKLE TWEETS
0:06:27 > 0:06:28Is everyone ready for a story?

0:06:36 > 0:06:40- Is everybody settled down and ready to listen?- Ready!
0:06:40 > 0:06:44And all of you, sitting down comfy and ready to listen?
0:06:44 > 0:06:48- CHILDREN: Yes, Dan.- This story is called Mowan And The Runaway Moon.
0:06:48 > 0:06:53It was written by Timothy Knapman and the pictures are by Jago Silva.
0:06:53 > 0:06:58One evening, Mowan looked out and saw the moon shining in the sky.
0:06:58 > 0:06:59"The moon must be bored
0:06:59 > 0:07:03"and on the lookout for something to do," said Mowan.
0:07:03 > 0:07:05"I wonder if it would like to play with me."
0:07:05 > 0:07:09Oh, yes, I'm sure the moon would LOVE to play. Bip-bip!
0:07:09 > 0:07:10You're right, Bippity.
0:07:10 > 0:07:13So Mowan reached up as high as he could
0:07:13 > 0:07:17and pulled the moon down, out of the sky.
0:07:17 > 0:07:21"Hello, Moon." The moon was smaller than Mowan was expecting.
0:07:21 > 0:07:25It was bouncy like a ball. Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing!
0:07:25 > 0:07:28So Mowan took it out to play. The moon rolled down the dusty slopes.
0:07:28 > 0:07:33Whee! Splashed across sparkling streams. Splish! Splosh!
0:07:33 > 0:07:37And even pretended to be a football. "Goal!"
0:07:37 > 0:07:40I like the boinging and splashing!
0:07:40 > 0:07:44The moon was having so much fun that it just couldn't stop.
0:07:44 > 0:07:48"Come back!" cried Mowan. The moon just kept on bouncing.
0:07:48 > 0:07:51It spooked snakes and scattered birds.
0:07:51 > 0:07:54It bothered bats and woke up wombats
0:07:54 > 0:07:59and bounced on and on until it got caught up in some thick scrub.
0:07:59 > 0:08:03"There you are, you naughty moon!" said Mowan. "Don't worry."
0:08:03 > 0:08:06And he untangled the moon from the scrub.
0:08:06 > 0:08:10By now, night had fallen and they were lost in the dark.
0:08:10 > 0:08:13Mowan looked around. He felt small and scared.
0:08:13 > 0:08:15"What are we going to do?" he cried.
0:08:15 > 0:08:18Then the moon had a bright idea.
0:08:18 > 0:08:22It beamed, so that Mowan could see the way back home.
0:08:23 > 0:08:26Mowan wished the moon didn't have to go.
0:08:26 > 0:08:29He wished he could keep the moon and play with it every night
0:08:29 > 0:08:33but then he thought about all the people who'd get lost in the dark.
0:08:33 > 0:08:38So he reached up as high as he could and put the moon where it belonged.
0:08:38 > 0:08:41And from then on, whenever the moon was bored
0:08:41 > 0:08:46and on the lookout for something to do, it knew exactly where to go.
0:08:46 > 0:08:50And it never bounced off again. Well, almost never.
0:08:50 > 0:08:54- The end. Did you enjoy that story? - Oh, yes.
0:08:54 > 0:08:58Mowan and the moon chose some great games to play.
0:08:58 > 0:09:02And they didn't even have a choosy wheel to help them.
0:09:02 > 0:09:06Now it's your turn. Which bit did you like best?
0:09:06 > 0:09:09Come on, it's time to show me the story.

0:09:20 > 0:09:22Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!
0:09:22 > 0:09:27We're playing with the moon again. We're splashing in the streams.
0:09:27 > 0:09:32- Let's kick it!- Wow! Look at that! - I can kick really far.
0:09:32 > 0:09:35Quick, chase it! Follow the moon!
0:09:35 > 0:09:37Come back!
0:09:37 > 0:09:40I'm balancing like Mowan.

0:10:04 > 0:10:07Yeah! I wonder what the choosy wheel
0:10:07 > 0:10:10will choose for us to play next time?
