0:06:16 > 0:06:18Ready, Driver Dan.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21This story is called Mia's Time To Shine.

0:06:21 > 0:06:26Nathalie G Habib wrote it and the pictures are by Joelle Achkar.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29It was the morning of the Roseville ball

0:06:29 > 0:06:33and Mia the butterfly excitedly opened the doors of her boutique.

0:06:33 > 0:06:36It was her busiest day of the year.

0:06:36 > 0:06:39For every year, everyone flocked to Mia's store

0:06:39 > 0:06:42to buy her beautiful gowns, hats and waistcoats,

0:06:42 > 0:06:45all made from the freshest flower petals,

0:06:45 > 0:06:48exquisitely stitched together.

0:06:48 > 0:06:52Everyone has been busy with flowers today.

0:06:52 > 0:06:54They have, haven't they, Sweetie?

0:06:54 > 0:06:57Mia watched her customers happily.

0:06:57 > 0:07:00The butterflies fluttered about in dresses

0:07:00 > 0:07:02that matched the colours of their wings.

0:07:02 > 0:07:06Grasshoppers hopped about in handsome hats and bow ties,

0:07:06 > 0:07:10while the bumblebees buzzed about choosing the smartest jackets.

0:07:10 > 0:07:13Each year, Mia promised herself

0:07:13 > 0:07:16that if there was a dress left at the end of the day,

0:07:16 > 0:07:19she would wear it and go to the ball herself,

0:07:19 > 0:07:21but there was never anything left for Mia

0:07:21 > 0:07:24so Mia had never ever been to the ball.

0:07:24 > 0:07:27Aw! Poor Mia.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29This year was no different.

0:07:29 > 0:07:34At the end of the day, there wasn't a single thing left on the racks.

0:07:34 > 0:07:36Mia gave a little sigh.

0:07:36 > 0:07:40"Never mind," she said to her friends, the silkworms.

0:07:40 > 0:07:41"Maybe next year."

0:07:41 > 0:07:46"It's not fair," said the silkworms to one another.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48"Mia works so hard to get everyone else ready

0:07:48 > 0:07:52"she never has time to make anything for herself!"

0:07:52 > 0:07:57And so the silkworms gathered the freshest sparkly silver rose petals

0:07:57 > 0:08:01and worked quickly and quietly, stitching and sewing.

0:08:01 > 0:08:06Maybe they need someone to invent a bigger, faster sewing machine.

0:08:06 > 0:08:08Maybe they need you, Bippity.

0:08:08 > 0:08:13When Mia came to close up the shop, they held out a wonderful surprise.

0:08:13 > 0:08:19It was a beautifully stitched silver rose petal gown.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21"How am I ever going to thank you?"

0:08:21 > 0:08:24Asked Mia, clapping her hands in delight

0:08:24 > 0:08:27as she slipped the silver gown around her.

0:08:27 > 0:08:31"Thank us later," laughed her friends, or we'll all miss the ball.

0:08:31 > 0:08:34The Roseville ball was a great success.

0:08:34 > 0:08:38There was fine food and delightful dancing,

0:08:38 > 0:08:41and all the creatures looked magnificent,

0:08:41 > 0:08:45twirling about the dancefloor, dressed in Mia's stunning outfits.

0:08:45 > 0:08:49But no one enjoyed the ball more than hard-working Mia,

0:08:49 > 0:08:55shining like a star in her sparkly silver rose petal gown.

0:08:55 > 0:08:57The end. Did you all enjoy the story?

0:08:57 > 0:09:01I loved Mia's dress with all the petals.

0:09:01 > 0:09:04And busy bees, buzz buzz, bip-bip!

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Now it's your turn.

0:09:06 > 0:09:11Which bit did YOU like best? Come on, it's time to show me the story.

0:09:11 > 0:09:16Look, it's Mia's shop. It's full of lovely dresses and hats.

0:09:16 > 0:09:20Everything has been sold, all the dresses are gone.

0:09:20 > 0:09:23We're helping to make Mia a dress.

0:09:23 > 0:09:26We're sewing it together.

0:09:26 > 0:09:30Carefully now. Stitch here and stitch there.

0:09:49 > 0:09:53Thank you. You were great at showing me the story.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55Mia has great friends, doesn't she?

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Yes, they were kind to make her a dress

0:09:58 > 0:10:00so she could go to the ball and dance.

0:10:00 > 0:10:03I would love to dance at the ball like Mia.
