0:00:45 > 0:00:47TWINKLE CHIRPS

0:00:47 > 0:00:50Twinkle can see some of our Story Train friends.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52Can you see who they are?

0:00:52 > 0:00:56- It's Sweetie! - She's with Tallulah.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59AND they've drawn lots of pictures.

0:00:59 > 0:01:03Yes, they have, haven't they? Let's go and take a look.

0:01:03 > 0:01:07Oh, Tallulah, it's still not right.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10- The wheels are all wibbly-wobbly. - Hmm.

0:01:10 > 0:01:14Oh! Sweetie, what shape are wheels?

0:01:14 > 0:01:17Um, they're circles.

0:01:17 > 0:01:22Yes! And what shape is your crayon pot?

0:01:22 > 0:01:24SHE GIGGLES It's a circle.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27The same shape as the wheels.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29Exactly!

0:01:29 > 0:01:33So if you draw round the crayon pot...

0:01:33 > 0:01:38The wheels won't be wibbly-wobbly. That's a great idea, Tallulah.

0:01:39 > 0:01:45Round here, like this...and there!

0:01:45 > 0:01:49Brilliant! That's a perfect wheel, Sweetie.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51Hello! What are you drawing?

0:01:51 > 0:01:54Oh, hello, Driver Dan. Hi, Twinkle.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58We're trying to draw a picture of the Story Train.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02Hi, Driver Dan. It's really tricky to get right,

0:02:02 > 0:02:07- but we drew round the crayon pot to make the wheels.- Oh, yes!

0:02:07 > 0:02:10- That's very clever.- Mmm.

0:02:10 > 0:02:14The carriage has a shape like a box.

0:02:14 > 0:02:20Yes! We need to find something else shaped like a box to draw round.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22TWINKLE CHIRPS

0:02:22 > 0:02:26Hmm, nothing here. Or here.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30Aww, I can't find anything either, Sweetie.

0:02:30 > 0:02:36Hmm, something shaped like a box, with four straight sides.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40- I know where we can find that shape! - Really?- Where?

0:02:40 > 0:02:44You'll have to come on the Story Train to find out.

0:02:44 > 0:02:46Yes, the Story Train!

0:02:46 > 0:02:50Oh, yeah! Good idea.

0:02:51 > 0:02:52All aboard!

0:02:52 > 0:02:54'All aboard the Story Train.'

0:03:01 > 0:03:04Can you see who Twinkle has spotted?

0:03:04 > 0:03:06'It's the Counting Sheep.

0:03:06 > 0:03:10'Look Driver Dan, the Counting Sheep are shaped like a box.'

0:03:10 > 0:03:13Well done! Great shape-spotting.

0:03:13 > 0:03:17Let's see if Sweetie and Tallulah can spot it, too, shall we?

0:03:18 > 0:03:21Hello, Counting Sheep.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23BAA, BAA!

0:03:23 > 0:03:26- Sweetie, Tallulah... - Hello, Counting Sheep.

0:03:26 > 0:03:28We're trying to draw the Story Train.

0:03:28 > 0:03:32Can you help us find something box-shaped to help us

0:03:32 > 0:03:35- draw the carriages? - BAA, BAA!

0:03:35 > 0:03:36BAA!

0:03:36 > 0:03:39I think they have something to show you.

0:03:39 > 0:03:43Ooh, Counting Sheep, you're shaped like a box!

0:03:46 > 0:03:50OK, Number 5, can you keep still while Sweetie draws round you?

0:03:50 > 0:03:51Baa!

0:03:51 > 0:03:54Baa! He-he. Baa!

0:04:02 > 0:04:06Well done! It's really starting to look like the Story Train now.

0:04:06 > 0:04:09Thanks for your help, everyone. Mmm.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13We need to draw the front of the Story Train now.

0:04:13 > 0:04:17Yes! I think we need a triangle shape to draw around.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20You're right! Let's find one.

0:04:20 > 0:04:24Oh, dear! I don't think anything here is triangle-shaped.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27- What do you think? - 'I can't see any triangles.

0:04:27 > 0:04:32'Can you make a triangle, Driver Dan, with your Fix-O-Tron?'

0:04:32 > 0:04:36No, the Fix-O-Tron fixes things. It doesn't... Ah, hold on.

0:04:36 > 0:04:40There are no triangles any... Ooh!

0:04:40 > 0:04:43Look at this. If you have something square,

0:04:43 > 0:04:46and you fold it like this, you get...

0:04:46 > 0:04:48A triangle!

0:04:48 > 0:04:53- That's really clever, Driver Dan. - Hooray!

0:04:53 > 0:04:56Now we can finish our drawing.

0:04:56 > 0:04:58BAA, BAA, BAA!

0:04:58 > 0:05:00We did it.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03Look! The Story Train,

0:05:03 > 0:05:06and it's not wibbly-wobbly any more.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11BAA, BAA, BAA!

0:05:12 > 0:05:16Thank you for helping us draw the Story Train.

0:05:16 > 0:05:19Would you like us to draw one for each of you?

0:05:19 > 0:05:21That's lovely, Sweetie.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25But first, it's time to go on the real Story Train to...

0:05:45 > 0:05:47'We're going to have a story.

0:05:47 > 0:05:51- 'Maybe a shape story. - With triangles in.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53'Or about looking for things.'

0:05:57 > 0:05:59TWINKLE CHIRPS

0:06:04 > 0:06:06Who's ready for a story?

0:06:06 > 0:06:07- I am!- Baa!

0:06:07 > 0:06:10We're all ready, Driver Dan.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13Hmm. What about...? Ah-ha!

0:06:13 > 0:06:15I know just the book.

0:06:15 > 0:06:18Is everybody settled down and ready to listen?

0:06:18 > 0:06:21And all of you? Comfy and ready to listen?

0:06:21 > 0:06:22'I'm ready!'

0:06:22 > 0:06:26This story is called The Rolling Ball.

0:06:26 > 0:06:30Rania Zbib Daher wrote it, and the pictures are by Manal Haddadin.

0:06:30 > 0:06:36One day, Samir's grandfather came to visit. He had a gift for Samir.

0:06:36 > 0:06:38It was a shiny green ball.

0:06:38 > 0:06:42"Thank you, Grandad, it's great!" yelled Samir excitedly,

0:06:42 > 0:06:45as he tossed the ball in the air and caught it again.

0:06:45 > 0:06:48Ooh! A shiny green circle.

0:06:48 > 0:06:50Well spotted, Sweetie!

0:06:50 > 0:06:55That afternoon, Samir and his grandfather went to the playground.

0:06:55 > 0:06:59Samir hugged his ball proudly. Then, he kicked it high.

0:06:59 > 0:07:02So high, that it went flying over the wall!

0:07:02 > 0:07:07It landed with a thud on the other side, next to a small, grey cat.

0:07:07 > 0:07:10- GIGGLES - Watch out, little cat!

0:07:10 > 0:07:12The little cat peered curiously at the ball,

0:07:12 > 0:07:15nudging it about with her nose,

0:07:15 > 0:07:18and trying to hold it down with her paws.

0:07:18 > 0:07:22Samir giggled and skipped through the gate to join the game.

0:07:22 > 0:07:27But, as he reached them, the ball slipped away from the cat's paws,

0:07:27 > 0:07:30and was off - down a grassy slope,

0:07:30 > 0:07:33and straight into a muddy field full of fluffy sheep.

0:07:33 > 0:07:37It was caught between the legs of the playful lambs,

0:07:37 > 0:07:41who kicked it this way and that as they skipped about the field.

0:07:41 > 0:07:44The shiny ball wasn't looking shiny any more.

0:07:44 > 0:07:45BAA!

0:07:45 > 0:07:49You're right - they're very fluffy sheep, aren't they?

0:07:49 > 0:07:51Samir had almost caught up with it,

0:07:51 > 0:07:55when the ball tumbled along to the riverbank,

0:07:55 > 0:07:59and a fat little frog perched right on top of it. "Ribbit!"

0:07:59 > 0:08:04Samir laughed out loud, and the sound startled the frog.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07He hopped off quickly, and...plop!

0:08:07 > 0:08:10The green ball bounced into the river.

0:08:10 > 0:08:14Samir watched in disappointment as it floated away.

0:08:14 > 0:08:18"That's it, I'll never get it back now!" he groaned.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Oh, no! It splashed away!

0:08:21 > 0:08:27Just then, a fisherman and his son Walid came by in a rowing boat.

0:08:27 > 0:08:30Walid plucked the green ball from the river.

0:08:30 > 0:08:35The water had washed it clean, and it sparkled in the sunlight.

0:08:35 > 0:08:39He held it up and waved to Samir. "Is this yours?"

0:08:39 > 0:08:42Soon, the ball was safely back in Samir's hands.

0:08:42 > 0:08:46"Thank you," grinned Samir. "Fancy a game?"

0:08:46 > 0:08:49"Definitely!" cheered Walid.

0:08:49 > 0:08:52"I love my shiny green ball," thought Samir,

0:08:52 > 0:08:54as he kicked it to his new friend.

0:08:54 > 0:09:00"But having someone to share it with is even better. Goal!"

0:09:00 > 0:09:03The End. Did you enjoy the story?

0:09:03 > 0:09:08Oh, yes, Driver Dan. Samir had so much fun with his new ball.

0:09:08 > 0:09:11It was a great gift from his grandfather, wasn't it?

0:09:11 > 0:09:15Now it's your turn. Which bit did YOU like best?

0:09:15 > 0:09:18Come on, it's time to show me the story.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21Here you go, catch the ball!

0:09:21 > 0:09:23Let's play catch.

0:09:23 > 0:09:25This is a great game!

0:09:25 > 0:09:28Kick! It's gone over the wall.

0:09:28 > 0:09:30Oops.

0:09:30 > 0:09:34- The cat's got the ball. - Let's chase it.- Let's go this way!

0:09:34 > 0:09:37BOING, BOING! Look, it's the big green frog!

0:09:37 > 0:09:40Bounce like the frog.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42Ribbit! I'm a frog. Ribbit! Ribbit!

0:09:42 > 0:09:45We're fishing in the boat.

0:09:45 > 0:09:47Hi, Samir, look!

0:09:47 > 0:09:48We've got the ball.

0:09:48 > 0:09:51Let's play football with Samir!

0:09:51 > 0:09:55I'll kick it to you, like this.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Well done! You were GREAT at showing me the story.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01Samir almost lost his shiny ball, didn't he?

0:10:01 > 0:10:05Yes, but he had fun looking for it.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07Like we had fun looking for different shapes.

0:10:07 > 0:10:09BAA, BAA, BAA!

0:10:09 > 0:10:14Ooh, Driver Dan, the Story Train wheels are circle-shaped,

0:10:14 > 0:10:15like the ball.

0:10:15 > 0:10:18- They are, aren't they, Tallulah? - Oh, yes!
