0:00:05 > 0:00:07Welcome to the world of Epic...
0:00:07 > 0:00:10Sit back, strap yourself in
0:00:10 > 0:00:13and get ready to become Epic At Everything.
0:00:16 > 0:00:19Welcome to your quick blast of epicness.
0:00:19 > 0:00:21So what are we waiting for? Let's do this!
0:00:27 > 0:00:29First up, do you like rockets?
0:00:29 > 0:00:32Want to launch one from the comfort of your own home?
0:00:32 > 0:00:33Then you're in luck.
0:00:37 > 0:00:40Rockets are epic. I mean, just look at that.
0:00:40 > 0:00:42Rockets fly up into the air with such force
0:00:42 > 0:00:46that they pass through the atmosphere into outer space.
0:00:46 > 0:00:48If that's not epic, I don't know what is.
0:00:48 > 0:00:52Hi, I'm Fran, and I'm going to show you how to launch a rocket.
0:00:52 > 0:00:55You just need a small pot like these film canisters
0:00:55 > 0:00:59that come from old cameras, or these insides of chocolate eggs,
0:00:59 > 0:01:02- and some fizzy tablets. - Mmm, vitamin C.
0:01:02 > 0:01:07They're going to be our fuel. And you need some water.
0:01:07 > 0:01:13- So let's do this.- Yes! - But let's do this safely.- OK...
0:01:13 > 0:01:17So, you need to take your pot, fill it half full with water.
0:01:17 > 0:01:20We're going to put these tablets into the water
0:01:20 > 0:01:23and it's all going to happen a little bit quick,
0:01:23 > 0:01:27and hopefully, enough gas will be produced to launch them up.
0:01:27 > 0:01:31So, in the tablets go, lid on.
0:01:31 > 0:01:35I'm going to try and pop this on as well. Then we just wait.
0:01:35 > 0:01:39Five, four, three, two, one,
0:01:39 > 0:01:42lift off! That was amazing!
0:01:42 > 0:01:43Let's have a look at it again.
0:01:45 > 0:01:47And again!
0:01:47 > 0:01:50What happened was, the tablet was reacting with the water,
0:01:50 > 0:01:52producing lots of gas,
0:01:52 > 0:01:58and enough gas to launch our container up into the ceiling.
0:01:58 > 0:02:01So, onto the next. Ever had a minor burn?
0:02:01 > 0:02:04They're not pretty - unlike this man.
0:02:04 > 0:02:07I'm Dr Chris and this is how to deal with a skin burn.
0:02:07 > 0:02:09Burns or scalds are really common injuries
0:02:09 > 0:02:11and they can happen in an instant.
0:02:11 > 0:02:14Practically everyone will have one at some point in their lives.
0:02:14 > 0:02:16But do be careful, cos they can be serious.
0:02:16 > 0:02:20Burns happen when your skin comes into contact with something hot.
0:02:20 > 0:02:24They can also happen with chemicals, electricity, the sun, even fiction,
0:02:24 > 0:02:27- as anyone who's ever skidded across the carpet knows.- Yeah, that hurts.
0:02:27 > 0:02:29If you've got a big or a deep burn,
0:02:29 > 0:02:33you need to get an adult and seek medical attention quickly.
0:02:33 > 0:02:35I'm going to tell you how to treat a mild burn.
0:02:35 > 0:02:39This is when your skin goes red and is very painful. Ah! I've got a burn!
0:02:39 > 0:02:43- Actually, it's lipstick. Cherry flavour.- Seriously, though?
0:02:43 > 0:02:46Now, the most important thing when you've got a mild burn
0:02:46 > 0:02:49is run it under cold water for at least ten minutes,
0:02:49 > 0:02:51but don't have the tap on full blast.
0:02:51 > 0:02:55You should cool the burn down within 20 minutes of it getting burnt.
0:02:55 > 0:02:58Straight away is best and this will stop the burn getting worse.
0:02:58 > 0:03:01It sometimes helps to remove any clothing or jewellery
0:03:01 > 0:03:02away from the burn.
0:03:02 > 0:03:06Don't put ice or creams or greasy substances like butter on the burn,
0:03:06 > 0:03:08it could make it worse.
0:03:08 > 0:03:11The most important thing, no matter how serious your burn is,
0:03:11 > 0:03:15is to cool it down with cold water then, if you're still worried,
0:03:15 > 0:03:18get an adult or a doctor to give you some more help.
0:03:18 > 0:03:20That's how to treat a burn.
0:03:20 > 0:03:23Thanks, Doctor. So, after that medical epicness,
0:03:23 > 0:03:25there's no need to be angry if you get a burn.
0:03:25 > 0:03:29However, if you're feeling a bit crabby, meet this man.
0:03:30 > 0:03:34He's a heavy-metal marine biologist. Aren't they all?
0:03:35 > 0:03:39Hi, I'm Blowfish, I'm going to show you how to handle a crab.
0:03:39 > 0:03:40Oh, aren't they lovely?
0:03:40 > 0:03:43They have five pairs of legs, including those claws,
0:03:43 > 0:03:45which can sometimes get a bit nippy.
0:03:45 > 0:03:48So if you want to handle one as good as this man, then listen up.
0:03:48 > 0:03:53Firstly, find your crab. Rock pools are a cracking place to look for one.
0:03:53 > 0:03:56And here's one I found earlier. So, how to handle a crab.
0:03:58 > 0:04:01Start by placing your finger flat on the crab's back.
0:04:01 > 0:04:03That's going to stop him from scuttling away.
0:04:03 > 0:04:06Next, with your middle finger and thumb,
0:04:06 > 0:04:11grab the crab at either sides of his shell just behind the claws.
0:04:11 > 0:04:14- But don't touch the claws! - Then you've got your crab.
0:04:14 > 0:04:15He can't nip you,
0:04:15 > 0:04:18but keep his legs straight down so he doesn't get too upset.
0:04:18 > 0:04:20Then you can have a really good peek at him. You all right, mate?
0:04:20 > 0:04:22He's probably been better.
0:04:22 > 0:04:26- But of course, remember, always put them back.- Carefully.
0:04:26 > 0:04:30- And that's how you handle a crab. - Thanks, Blowfish.
0:04:30 > 0:04:33So, there you have it, your quick blast of epicness.
0:04:33 > 0:04:37Now go forth and be epic... at everything!
