0:00:19 > 0:00:22So, what are we waiting for? Let's do this!

0:00:27 > 0:00:30First up, if you have three mates and aren't afraid of heights,

0:00:30 > 0:00:31then watch this.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33Hi, we're UA Manchester Cheer

0:00:33 > 0:00:38- and we're going to show you how to do a double-base thigh stand.- A what?!

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Oh, OK, double-base thigh stand, that looks impressive.

0:00:41 > 0:00:45First you need to get three friends together...

0:00:45 > 0:00:46two of which will be the side bases.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49They're going to create a platform for the flyer,

0:00:49 > 0:00:52who goes up in the air performing the stunt and the back spot, who

0:00:52 > 0:00:55stands behind the flyer, protecting the head, neck and shoulders.

0:00:55 > 0:00:58The two bases are going to take a nice deep lunge, overlapping their

0:00:58 > 0:01:02feet, making sure they create a nice platform for their flyer to step on.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05The flyer's going to place her right foot into the pocket of

0:01:05 > 0:01:08one of the bases. The pocket is where the hip meets the leg.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10It's where you keep your change, silly!

0:01:10 > 0:01:12Be careful, if you put your foot in the wrong spot,

0:01:12 > 0:01:13it could be a bit painful.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16The flyer is going to step up strongly onto her right foot,

0:01:16 > 0:01:17locking out her leg.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20She will then place her other foot into the pocket of the other base.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22The bases hug tightly around the leg

0:01:22 > 0:01:25and the back spot holds on at the flyer's waist.

0:01:25 > 0:01:27Hope you've got a good grip!

0:01:27 > 0:01:30To top it all off, the flyer's going to put her arms up in a V.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33The side bases will then do the same.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35And there you have it, a double-base thigh stand.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38And that's how you do an epic cheerleading stunt.

0:01:39 > 0:01:43Right, that's our first hit of epic-ness done and dusted.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45But don't worry, our journey continues.

0:01:45 > 0:01:47Now, here's a little tip for that annoying thing you

0:01:47 > 0:01:49get from time to time.

0:01:49 > 0:01:53I'm talking about hiccups, not your younger brother!

0:01:53 > 0:01:55To save you from this noisy nightmare,

0:01:55 > 0:01:58we have Dr Chris Van Tulleken to show you how.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03I'm Dr Chris and I'm going to tell you how to get rid of hiccups.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06- Hurrah!- Hiccups occur when a muscle between your chest

0:02:06 > 0:02:09and your abdomen called your diaphragm goes into spasm

0:02:09 > 0:02:12and causes the sound at the top of the windpipe.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15- It's catching!- Hiccups are a bit like the opposite of a burp.

0:02:15 > 0:02:16Burp!

0:02:16 > 0:02:20- Rude.- Hiccups are not serious, they usually only last a few minutes

0:02:20 > 0:02:23and everyone gets them from time to time.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26Here are a few things you can try which may help you stop your hiccups.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29Drink water from the far side of the glass.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33Surely, there is something easier than that.

0:02:33 > 0:02:34- Not that!- You can bite on a lemon.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39Put some pressure on your nose while swallowing.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43Or try some good old-fashioned gargling.

0:02:47 > 0:02:50Truth is, hiccups only last a short while, so if you did nothing,

0:02:50 > 0:02:52you'd look a bit less silly.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55Try having a nap - when you wake up, they'll be gone.

0:02:55 > 0:02:59There you have it, how to get rid of hiccups.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00On we go.

0:03:00 > 0:03:01If you thought that was good,

0:03:01 > 0:03:04this next one will send your epic-ometer off the scale.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07Here's a cool coin trick that will totally wow your mates!

0:03:09 > 0:03:14My name is Ben Hanlin, I'm a magician and this is how to roll a coin.

0:03:14 > 0:03:17A-ha! The high-speed coin roll, bring it on.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19First of all, take the coin and place it between your thumb

0:03:19 > 0:03:21and your index finger, like so.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Then tilt your hand about 30 or 40 degrees.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27This will allow gravity to pull the coin downwards, like that.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30Now, as it falls onto the next finger,

0:03:30 > 0:03:34move your middle finger downwards and your index finger upwards.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37Then when it hits your ring finger, do exactly the same.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39That goes down and your middle finger goes up.

0:03:39 > 0:03:42Then when it reaches your last finger,

0:03:42 > 0:03:45- let it fall into your other hand. - One finger down, one finger up.

0:03:45 > 0:03:49OK, Magic Boy, I think we've just about got that. What next?

0:03:49 > 0:03:52To be extra cool, when it gets to the bottom, reverse the steps

0:03:52 > 0:03:54so it comes back up, like that.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59Stick it all together and this is what you've got.

0:04:00 > 0:04:02And that's how to do a coin roll.

0:04:02 > 0:04:04Nice one.

0:04:04 > 0:04:06So there you have it -

0:04:06 > 0:04:08your quick blast of epic-ness.
