0:35:27 > 0:35:30First up, it's skiing - and going backwards. Epic!

0:35:32 > 0:35:35Skiing is one of the funnest things you can do in life,

0:35:35 > 0:35:38but why always go forwards when you can go backwards?

0:35:38 > 0:35:41And we've got a top freestyle skier, to show you how to do it.

0:35:43 > 0:35:47Hello, I'm Woodsy, and I'm going to teach you how to ski backwards.

0:35:49 > 0:35:52So, starting facing up the hill in a backwards V-shape,

0:35:52 > 0:35:55you're going to use your big toes, to control your speed and to stop.

0:35:55 > 0:35:58Do make sure that you're wearing ski shoes,

0:35:58 > 0:36:01otherwise those big toes will get a little bit nippy.

0:36:01 > 0:36:03Next, coming sideways across the slope,

0:36:03 > 0:36:07you're going to step with your skis into the V, around the corner,

0:36:07 > 0:36:09and then step again across the slope and out.

0:36:11 > 0:36:14Once your comfortable skiing backwards,

0:36:14 > 0:36:18you're going to stagger your stance and you'll have a much better view

0:36:18 > 0:36:20of where you're going and let it flow.

0:36:20 > 0:36:22And that is how to ski backwards.

0:36:23 > 0:36:26Thank you, Woodsy, you ski wizard.

0:36:28 > 0:36:30Right, on to the next.

0:36:30 > 0:36:33If you've ever had your photo taken and been very disappointed

0:36:33 > 0:36:36with the results, here's how you can never have that again.

0:36:38 > 0:36:43We've got a stylist to stars such as Labrinth, Cher Lloyd and JLS

0:36:43 > 0:36:46to let you know how you can achieve that pop star look,

0:36:46 > 0:36:47you lucky things.

0:36:47 > 0:36:49Hi, my name's Ayishat, fashion stylist to some

0:36:49 > 0:36:51of your favourite music celebs.

0:36:51 > 0:36:54Today, I'm going to be showing you how to look cool in photographs.

0:36:54 > 0:36:57Now, being so beautiful, looking bad in photos

0:36:57 > 0:36:58isn't a problem that I have.

0:36:58 > 0:37:00Lesson one, the bathroom shot.

0:37:00 > 0:37:02Bathrooms have the best mirrors in the house,

0:37:02 > 0:37:05which is why when you flip through your friends' photographs,

0:37:05 > 0:37:07you see so many. Why don't you take to your bathroom

0:37:07 > 0:37:09and create your very own famous mirror shot?

0:37:09 > 0:37:12- Maybe I will.- This lesson is in knowing your angles.

0:37:12 > 0:37:15You could do this by using your phone. Try from the right.

0:37:15 > 0:37:18Try from the left. And try from below.

0:37:18 > 0:37:21- Find an angle that looks epic. - What's next?

0:37:21 > 0:37:24Whilst you are important to your picture, so are your surroundings.

0:37:24 > 0:37:26If you're going to take your pictures in your bedroom,

0:37:26 > 0:37:27make sure your room is tidy.

0:37:27 > 0:37:30There's nothing worse than seeing stray pants in your photographs.

0:37:30 > 0:37:32That would be totally embarrassing.

0:37:32 > 0:37:36- How did she get hold of my pants? - And finally, don't try too hard.

0:37:36 > 0:37:38If you're trying to look cool, the chances are,

0:37:38 > 0:37:39you're doing the complete opposite.

0:37:39 > 0:37:42To avoid looking like you're straining on the toilet

0:37:42 > 0:37:44with your poses, try a funny face,

0:37:44 > 0:37:47something that makes people laugh. No-one has a problem with that.

0:37:47 > 0:37:50Be cool, by not being cool. Interesting.

0:37:50 > 0:37:52And that, my friends, is how to look good in photographs.

0:37:54 > 0:37:57Thanks, Ayishat. I now look gorgeous.

0:37:57 > 0:38:00OK, ever had a go at a Rubik's cube and felt like a right dunderhead?

0:38:00 > 0:38:03Well, this maths expert knows how to make you look

0:38:03 > 0:38:05a right brainbox on it, instead.

0:38:07 > 0:38:09I'm Matt Parker and I'm here to show you how to make it

0:38:09 > 0:38:11look like you can solve a Rubik's cube.

0:38:11 > 0:38:14Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

0:38:14 > 0:38:18Hang on, maths man, you mean, you're not actually going to solve it?

0:38:18 > 0:38:21The trick with the Rubik's cube is that you could do the same

0:38:21 > 0:38:23combinations of moves over and over again,

0:38:23 > 0:38:25you'll eventually end up back where you started.

0:38:25 > 0:38:28So you're not technically solving the Rubik's cube,

0:38:28 > 0:38:30but all your friends will think you are.

0:38:30 > 0:38:32Sneaky, I like his style.

0:38:32 > 0:38:35Now, you must remember, start with a solved Rubik's cube.

0:38:35 > 0:38:37This is the best way to do it.

0:38:37 > 0:38:40You take the right side of the cube and you twist that down towards you.

0:38:40 > 0:38:43And then with your left hand, you twist the left side away.

0:38:43 > 0:38:44Then you turn the cube around.

0:38:44 > 0:38:47If you repeat that over and over, 12 of these later,

0:38:47 > 0:38:51you'll end up back where you started. About halfway through,

0:38:51 > 0:38:54you get this kind of jazzy pattern, and then finally, you'll end up

0:38:54 > 0:38:58with the cube right back where you started.

0:38:58 > 0:39:00So, start with a solved cube.

0:39:00 > 0:39:03Right-hand side towards you, left away.

0:39:03 > 0:39:08Turn it around and repeat 12 times, and practise probably makes perfect.

0:39:10 > 0:39:15- Genius!- So there you have it, one Rubik's cube solved.

0:39:15 > 0:39:19So, there you have it, your quick blast of epicness.

0:39:19 > 0:39:23Now, go forth and be epic at everything!
