0:00:05 > 0:00:07Welcome to the world of Epic.

0:00:07 > 0:00:13Sit back, strap yourself in and get ready to become Epic At Everything!

0:00:15 > 0:00:18Welcome to your quick blast of epicness.

0:00:18 > 0:00:22So what are we waiting for? Let's do this!

0:00:27 > 0:00:31First up, do you like science, goo and dancing? I do.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34So does this girl. I'm very intrigued.

0:00:34 > 0:00:39Hi, I'm Fran Scott and I'm going to show you how to make some super-goo

0:00:39 > 0:00:41and a gooey dancing monster.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Fran is a cool science demonstrator.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47And she knows it all when it comes to dancing goo.

0:00:47 > 0:00:53- All you need is some cornflour, some water and a speaker.- I knew that.

0:00:53 > 0:00:57So take one big spoon of water.

0:00:57 > 0:01:03And take about a spoon and a half full of cornflour.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06OK, with you so far, science lady.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08And then just mix it all up.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10Now there will come a point where the substance starts

0:01:10 > 0:01:15acting rather strange and it acts like a solid and a liquid.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18At this point, it's a non-Newtonian fluid.

0:01:18 > 0:01:20A non-Newtonian what-what?

0:01:20 > 0:01:23A non-Newtonian fluid is a substance that can act like a solid

0:01:23 > 0:01:27AND a liquid, depending on what you do to it.

0:01:27 > 0:01:31With this one it changes from being a liquid to a solid

0:01:31 > 0:01:34when we apply some force.

0:01:34 > 0:01:38So I should be able to get a nice handful of this goo,

0:01:38 > 0:01:41squash it together with force,

0:01:41 > 0:01:44but if I stop applying force...

0:01:44 > 0:01:48then it turns back into a liquid.

0:01:48 > 0:01:51- Yuck.- Yuck. That is pretty freaky, Fran.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54But didn't you promise us a dancing goo monster?

0:01:54 > 0:02:00Let's see how cool this goo can be by turning it into a dancing monster.

0:02:00 > 0:02:01Yes!

0:02:01 > 0:02:02Before we do this,

0:02:02 > 0:02:06let's cover our speaker in Clingfilm to make sure we don't damage it.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09Remember, always ask your parent's permission

0:02:09 > 0:02:11before you trash the stereo.

0:02:11 > 0:02:17Now all we need to do is put some of our goo mixture on the speaker

0:02:17 > 0:02:19and play some music.

0:02:20 > 0:02:21Turn that music up, Fran.

0:02:21 > 0:02:24DANCE MUSIC PLAYS

0:02:24 > 0:02:26Whoa! What's happening there?

0:02:26 > 0:02:30The vibrations from the speaker are making the goo move up and down

0:02:30 > 0:02:32and form those ridiculous shapes

0:02:32 > 0:02:36as it switches between being a solid and a liquid.

0:02:37 > 0:02:40I'd never have guessed it. Goo loves a bit of dubstep.

0:02:40 > 0:02:45- And that is our dancing monster. - Goo-roovy! Ha-ha.

0:02:46 > 0:02:50From one kind of monster to another but this one has eight legs

0:02:50 > 0:02:53and freaks out a lot of people, including me.

0:02:53 > 0:02:55So if you want to be an epic superhero

0:02:55 > 0:02:58when one comes crawling your way, pay close attention.

0:02:59 > 0:03:03We have a heavy-metal-loving marine biologist to show you how.

0:03:03 > 0:03:07- Hi, I'm Blowfish, expert biologist.- A bit cocky.

0:03:07 > 0:03:09I'm going to teach you how to get rid of a spider.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11First, you'll need a glass or container

0:03:11 > 0:03:13big enough to cover the spider.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Spider? That's obese! I'm not touching it.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19Hopefully, you won't have to deal with a spider

0:03:19 > 0:03:22this big. This is actually a Chile rose tarantula.

0:03:22 > 0:03:26Get a piece of card big enough to slide underneath the spider.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29Or just leg it instead. Look at the size of it!

0:03:29 > 0:03:32Now be really careful when you're sliding the card under.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35- You don't want to hurt the spider. - Blowfish, you're so brave.

0:03:35 > 0:03:36You're my hero.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Finally, keeping pressure on the container and the card,

0:03:39 > 0:03:43pick up the spider, take him outside and release him back into the wild.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45Or ask your parents to do it for you.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47And that is how you get rid of a spider.

0:03:49 > 0:03:51OK, time for one last dose of epicness.

0:03:51 > 0:03:54But don't be sad, because we're about to enter

0:03:54 > 0:03:57the colourful world of bhangra.

0:03:57 > 0:04:02Hi, I'm Dev, and I'm going to show you how to bhangra dance.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05Get to it, Dev, you cheeky bhangra wizard.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08The first step I'm going to show you is called How To Change A Light Bulb.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Put your right hand in the air and change a light bulb.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15Bend the knees and give yourself a bounce.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19Then repeat that move with the other hand.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22The second move we're going to do is called the Aeroplane.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24Put your hands in the air, bend those knees

0:04:24 > 0:04:27but this time you're going to imagine you're on an aeroplane and you're

0:04:27 > 0:04:31squeezing the luggage into the overhead compartment like this.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35The third step is called the Butterfly.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37Now, we're going to put our left hand in the air

0:04:37 > 0:04:41and you'll be kicking out just like this.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44The fourth and final move is called the bhangra bounce.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46Put your hands in the air and let's bounce.

0:04:48 > 0:04:52Let's leave Dev bouncing and I'll remind you of the moves.

0:04:52 > 0:04:55One, change a light bulb whilst bouncing.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58Two, put your luggage in the overhead compartment.

0:04:58 > 0:05:00Three, do the butterfly.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04Four, do the bhangra bounce. Epic!

0:05:04 > 0:05:09- That's how you bhangra dance. - Thanks, Dev. Give yourself a bounce.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13So, there you have it, your quick blast of epicness.

0:05:13 > 0:05:17Now, go forth and be epic... at everything!
