0:00:15 > 0:00:19strap yourself in and get ready to become epic at everything!

0:00:20 > 0:00:25Welcome to your Quick Blast of epicness. First up...

0:00:25 > 0:00:29Have you ever wanted the skills to do that?

0:00:29 > 0:00:30And that?

0:00:30 > 0:00:33Yeah, but not that, definitely don't do that.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36Who could teach you such ridiculous skills?

0:00:36 > 0:00:39Hey, I'm John Farnworth and I hold the world record

0:00:39 > 0:00:41for the most amount of around-the-worlds in one minute.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43Show off!

0:00:43 > 0:00:44OK, that's amazing.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47It's probably the most popular freestyle move on the planet.

0:00:47 > 0:00:51It takes a lot of practice to master, but it's well worth it.

0:00:51 > 0:00:53OK, John, show us how to do it.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Step one, start with the ball balanced on your foot.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59The best way to do this is by placing it on with the hand.

0:00:59 > 0:01:01Hand? Isn't that cheating?

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Once you get good at this, you can roll it up from the ground.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06OK, that's more like it.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08Step two, bring the foot up from the floor,

0:01:08 > 0:01:12and in one circular motion, lift the foot all the way around the ball.

0:01:12 > 0:01:13Hmm. Tricky.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16It's important that, as the foot travels around the ball,

0:01:16 > 0:01:18the ball goes up at the same time.

0:01:18 > 0:01:22Step three, once the foot's travelled around the ball,

0:01:22 > 0:01:24you continue controlling it with the same foot.

0:01:24 > 0:01:28Whoa! Looking amazing! But I think I need a rewind.

0:01:28 > 0:01:32So, balance the ball on your foot, flick it up,

0:01:32 > 0:01:34and at the same time, move your foot around it.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37Then control the ball with the same foot and do it all over again.

0:01:37 > 0:01:38Easy, right?

0:01:38 > 0:01:40Once you've mastered the technique,

0:01:40 > 0:01:42you can show off and do what you want.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44Yes, definitely showing off now.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48And that's how to be epic at an around-the-world.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Thank you, John!

0:01:50 > 0:01:51Right.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54Next, if you and your mates want to become pop stars, then we're

0:01:54 > 0:01:58going to show you how to become one step closer to that lovely dream.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01Hey, I'm A*M*E, I'm a singer-songwriter,

0:02:01 > 0:02:04and I'm going to teach you how to harmonise.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06That's A*M*E. She's a pop star.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08She's had a number one single and everything.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10She's also a pro when it comes to harmonies.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13Go on, then, A*M*E, tell us how to do them.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15A harmony is when two or more people sing at the same time

0:02:15 > 0:02:17but in different pitches.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19It sounds really cool.

0:02:19 > 0:02:20- # Ooh... - # Ooh...

0:02:20 > 0:02:22# Ooh... # Who's that?

0:02:22 > 0:02:24There are lots of different harmonies you can do,

0:02:24 > 0:02:26but the most common you'll hear is the third.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30To find the third, count up four keys from your original note

0:02:30 > 0:02:33on the piano. Make sure you count the black ones too.

0:02:33 > 0:02:34Let's hear it then.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38- # Ahhh... - # Ahhh...

0:02:38 > 0:02:41# Aaah... # Nailed it. OK, but how do you do that in a song?

0:02:41 > 0:02:44Next, you need to make sure you know the tune really well.

0:02:44 > 0:02:46This will help you find the right harmonies.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49We're going to sing Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51Brilliant!

0:02:51 > 0:02:53# When I see your face

0:02:55 > 0:03:00# There's not a thing that I would change

0:03:00 > 0:03:06# Cos, boy, you're amazing just the way you are. #

0:03:06 > 0:03:09No, YOU'RE amazing, A*M*E.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12And that is how to be epic at harmonising.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14Thank you... # A...

0:03:14 > 0:03:15# M...

0:03:15 > 0:03:16# E... #

0:03:16 > 0:03:18Nailed it again.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21OK, on we go from a singing superstar to a scientist

0:03:21 > 0:03:22with smoke rings.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24No, really, I'm not joking.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Hi, I'm Fran Scott and I'm going to show you how to make giant

0:03:27 > 0:03:29smoke rings.

0:03:29 > 0:03:30Yes!

0:03:30 > 0:03:33But before we make the giant ones, we're going to make a small version,

0:03:33 > 0:03:38and to do that we're going to need a cardboard tube, some scissors,

0:03:38 > 0:03:44some clingfilm, a 2p piece, some tape and a can of magician's smoke.

0:03:44 > 0:03:45Ooh, magic!

0:03:45 > 0:03:49So what we've done is, we've chopped off the base of our crisp can

0:03:49 > 0:03:54and put some clingfilm over it and taped that, then we've drawn around

0:03:54 > 0:03:58the 2p piece and cut a hole in the top,

0:03:58 > 0:04:01and that is our smoke ring generator.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Now you need to put some smoke in your tube,

0:04:04 > 0:04:06and about two sprays should do it.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08One...

0:04:08 > 0:04:09Two...

0:04:09 > 0:04:11Then, tap the clingfilm

0:04:11 > 0:04:15and doughnut-shaped rings should fly out the front of your tube.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17- IMITATING HOMER SIMPSON: - Ahhh, doughnuts.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20To make giant smoke rings, you do exactly the same

0:04:20 > 0:04:25but on a bigger scale, so instead of using a crisp tube, you use...

0:04:26 > 0:04:28- ..a bin.- Epic.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31And instead of using clingfilm, you use a shower curtain.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32Course you do.

0:04:32 > 0:04:34And you'll need something bigger than a 2p piece

0:04:34 > 0:04:36to cut out your hole.

0:04:36 > 0:04:37My head?

0:04:37 > 0:04:38But it's exactly the same as before.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41Let's fill it with smoke...

0:04:41 > 0:04:42and give it a whack.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Smokin'!

0:04:48 > 0:04:53That is how to be epic at making giant smoke rings.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56So, there you have it, your Quick Blast of epicness.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59Now go forth and be epic at everything!
